Pacific Crest Grand Ballroom
I was happy with the venue, I felt like it was a affordable and a pretty space on the inside, the outside of the building is a little rough looking but easy to look past. They have package deals which I thought was great, except for the photographer we ended up going with as a result of the package. But the packages were a good price and it made things alot easier. I feel like we got all our needs met.
I loved the Venue, the owners were very nice and helpful. They give you a lot of time to work with them and at the actual site. My ownly problem was the owners were out of town the day of my wedding and I had a lady take over and she didn't know how to run the technical stuff (so we had no slideshow!), and it became a little unorganized. But in the end it is great place for a wedding.
We had our reception at the Pacific Crest Grand Ballroom this last June, and the space is beautiful! The seating arrangements were very elegant, and the wedding coordinator was extremely helpful! It rained on our wedding day, so this was the perfect venue- being that it is indoor. Thank you Pacific Crest!
Pacific Crest Grand Ballroom is very accomodating.
Michelle and Chris we so helpful. The ballroom was beautiful and they made sure we have every detail planned. We were so impressed, they would meet with us whenever we had questions and even invited us to meet some local vendors. We could not have been happier!!
As the parents of the bride we wanted someplace easy to access and egress for friends and family. This location was easy to get to and near I-205. We wanted someplace where minimal decoration would be needed since the service was to be in our church and we wouldn't have a great deal of time to work with both venues. While the building is older in structure and design it is well decorated and the main ballroom and adjoining ballroom worked wonderfully to meet our needs for buffet dining and dancing with a 12-member live band including stage lighting and PA. The owners and their staff were easy to work with on access for our vendors, provided excellent counsel on time needed for events involved, layout for ease of people movement and many other items that we hadn't considered. Our caterer was very pleased with the available kitchen to serve from. Probably our best indicator of how nice the event turned out is the large number of guests that complimented our choice of venues. Even the bride was pleased with all aspects of the event. Price was very competitve with other venues. Don't dismiss this location without viewing it first hand!!
My Husband and I chose to have our wedding and reception at Pacific Crest Grand Ballroom in October 2009. The beautiful ballrooms first caught our eye. They are spacious and fit our 200+ guests and buffet dinner comfortably-with plenty of room to dance! PCGB provided a variety of options to customize our day to be exactly what we pictured. Throughout planning and our wedding/reception Chris, Michelle and their staff were accommodating and very pleasant to work with. Our day was fun, relaxing and went off without a hitch! We had a wonderful experience. Thank you Chris & Michelle!!
We recently had a wedding here and beside the beautiful ballroom (inside) everything else about this place was wrong. The wedding planner out of everything was a nightmare to work with..rude, constantly irritated, overprotective over the ballroom and plain and simple a complete pain to work with. They charge for everything...so be aware! The price packages are a great deal but with that comes a great deal of stress with getting exactly what you want. If you aren't persistent with what you want you will be either charged for it or you will not get it. Really rude and they will straight up tell you that certain things aren't possible. If you must go with this venue I'd say you talk to Chris....he's the only one that makes your wedding day about you and does not make it painful.
Beware when you are singing the paperwork...practicly everything that you bring has to be set up, cleaned up by you. Do not expect any extra things from them for free and do not expect any help from the staff. As beautiful as it is and elegant, the pain of dealing with some people isn't worth it.
If you have the option to go somewhere else for a bit more money I'd say you go with that!
You would never know from the outside of the building how beautiful the ballroom is. We had a large wedding, and Pacific Crest offered plenty of space for a very reasonable price. One of the other things we loved was being able to bring in our own caterer. There were a few bumps along the way with the wedding planner, but overall our wedding turned out beautiful and everyone on staff there was very helpful the day of.
We were very pleased with the Pacific Crest Grand Ballroom, and were wowed by its elegance and value. Other places we looked were as elegant or less, but were asking exorbitant prices. The Ballroom offered a reasonable price and the flexibility to make all aspects of the day (food, decorations, music, etc.) fit our budget. Chris and Michelle were so helpful with ideas and had tips for making the evening extra special. They had a large selection of decorations to choose from, and saved us the time and expense of finding those things on our own. We brought our own food, but they gave a ton of great ideas of what works best, and where to find the best value. We were so grateful to find such a gem and would recommend their services and facilities to anybody looking for a beautiful venue at a reasonable cost.
We have had the pleasure of working with Pacific Crest Grand Ballroom on several occasions and it is one of our favorites! The ballroom is stunning and the staff members are wonderful to work with. Plan a tour at the ballroom to see for yourself!
I had never guessed that the Pacific Crest GB would have been so pretty inside. Although the owners were out of town when we arrived for the rehearsal - their assistants tredged through the horrible weather to make sure that everything was open and ready for us. Come wedding day, everything was ready to go and they made such quick work of getting things set up.
The couple was married without a hitch and everything went according to planned (except the weather!).
There is so much space inside each rental room and they have brought the entire venue so much further than what it had originally been!
A Beautiful Location for a Wedding. It's elegant, large, full service, organized and classy. I have enjoyed performing weddings at this location. Many people don't realize that they have a small yet elegant optional ballroom and can divide reception rooms to accomodate smaller weddings too. For large weddings, this is the place though. A huge ballroom with stage, reception room, kitchen, dressing room, elevator (most upstair ballrooms in portland don't have elevators) This venue is now being coordinated by a great group of people who will produce the best wedding ever!
