Reviews for Pacific Hills Banquet and Catering
**UPDATE**
I highly recommend Pacific Hills!! We had a beautiful wedding in Sept 2008! Everything went so smoothly. Because Pacific Hills was so reasonably priced we were able to spend more money on flowers, entertainment, etc. It is perfect for a budget bride who does not want to compromise on style and/or details!
Pacific Hills did an amazing job helping orchestrate the entire event besides from providing the delicious catering. Tamim was easy to work with and always returned our calls and answered our numerous emails. David also provided wonderful assistance when we were setting up the event the day before. They threw in a lot of 'extras' for us, including satin backdrops for the ceremony and reception, floating candle treatment for our cocktail hall, and plenty of uplights. A huge plus is that we got our amazing wedding cake for free with the package we chose. It was my favorite part of the meal! I have plenty of pictures of the venue so check it out.

Pacific Hills is a fairly new location in Orange County. They are extremely professional and reasonably priced. As soon as we walked in my fiance and I knew we would have our wedding there. The banquet manager showed us a very sleek flash presentation and was very straight forward about pricing. Luckily we also came by on a day of a wedding to see their set up. The location looks exactly like the pictures on the website, which are gorgeous. I'll give an update after our wedding in Sept!
I highly recommend Pacific Hills as a reception and/or party venue. We worked with David who is absolutely meticulous in all that he does for his clients. He answers every question with patience (and I had a whole notebook full of questions), he returns calls promptly, and he treated us with complete respect.
The venue - though nestled in a shopping plaza next to the DMV - is absolutely gorgeous inside. Parking is aplenty for guests. Pacific Hills is a one-stop shop for almost all reception needs. Our package included catering, chivari chairs, cascading lights, and a chocolate fountain/fondue. We were happy to find that David generously added more lighting and drapery on the day of the wedding. Our wedding cake (from Cinderella Cakes) was included in our package, which made things that much easier.
(If you are a bride who wants to book your own vendors for catering, linens, specialty lighting, cake, etc. - this venue may not be for you. But if you're lazy like how I was, and tired of looking for various vendors and getting recommendations for each of them, Pacific Hills may just work for you.)
The one [not completely positive] thing that I'd mention is that if you go with their sit-down menu, you're limited to just one main entree. To get around that, we went with their served buffet, which allowed us to offer our guests 3 different entrees. In the end, however, our guests still enjoyed their meal, and we didn't mind at all not having a sit-down reception.
The place is beautiful, however it does add up QUICKLY! Everything seemed like a dream come true when we booked here for our wedding which was May 3, 2009. However, after that things started to become sloppy, and just not what we expected. David was a nightmare to get a hold of. My husband & I would have to make lists of questions that we had for him so that when we finally got him on the phone we could get things answered. He basically gave us the cold shoulder because we did not want to use his florist, after we saw a mock setup they provided which was not even the correct colors for our wedding. David actually offered to spray paint the flowers, which was a huge sign that we needed to find someone else for the flowers. Then the day of the wedding we had to ask for what should have been our complimentary champagne. We had extra food due to the fact that people did not show up, and some of my guests noticed so they asked for a piece of chicken and roast beef instead making the choice of just one selection however, numerous guests said they were given a dirty look, and basically denied by the servers. My father in law asked David during the wedding to please bring the food back out for individuals who were arriving late, or just simply wanted seconds but this was never done. I paid $10,000 for a food & beverage minimum but I have no idea where all of that extra food went that night. It would have been nice to have been given the choice of what happened to it. Also, before our wedding was even over David, and his crew were basically giving us the boot. They were packing up all of the my tables (with large trash cans on wheels), and had the lights on while we were still dancing with guests!!! My husband, and I just could not even believe our eyes!!
Overall I would say that the place is very beautiful, but for the money you spend you could probably find a place that will offer you a much better price & way better customer service.
Good luck brides, feel free to message me should you have any questions!
We recently had our wedding ceremony & reception at Pacific Hills, and LOVED it! David was absolutely wonderful to work with, and made all our wedding dreams come true. He was very helpful with the planning and mindful of our budget. We got great reviews about the food from our guests all night long.
GREAT LOCATION WITH AMAZING SERVICE!
I highly recommend this place. David did an amazing job helping coordinate the entire event! We had alot of personalities in the wedding party and he made sure that everyone was taken care of! His patience and willingness to go the extra mile allowed my Mom to relax and really enjoy the reception! Thanks David - it was a blast!
