Skip and crew were amazing! The food was so good and whatever was left over was sent home all nice and packed up for my husband and me, which we didn't get because our lovely friends stole it from us....yes it was that good!!! Skip really knows what he's doing in regards to food and service. They did all our tables as well and I have not one complaint about the services we received.
Skip and his team are AMAZING! Skip had us sold the very first night we came in to "taste test" our food for the wedding. He gave us personalized attention, and was very helpful with many details about the wedding, beyond just the catering. I would highly recommend Skip and his staff for any of your catering needs. Pampered Palate is fantastic! I had a few problems with responsiveness, but Skip sure came through on the day of the wedding! The food was fantastic (everyone loved it), and the price was right.
We tasted and priced several caterers in our area and Pampered Palate was the best we had tasted and gave us the most for our money. The food was terrific.....all our guests were very satisfied and full! Everyone was asking us who we had hired. We were very happy with the service we got during the planning and during our wedding. hors d'oeuvres such as : spicy italian sausage stuffed mushrooms, stilton blue cheese canapé and prosciutto & melon. we had a beautiful buffet with california pinwheel breast of chicken piccata, caribbean seared salmon with a mango-papaya salsa, asiago potatoes ( to die for!) fresh asparagus, absolut! fusilli, the girasole greens salad, the caprice salad, heart shaped watermelon filled with strawberries and spiral of fruit & herb focaccia & butter rolls on the table...

Pampered Palate has been catering in the East Bay for 15 years. We are the catering ‘arm’ of Girasole Grill in Pleasanton.
We cater approximately 200 events a year at a variety of locations: in private homes in the greater East bay; in Livermore at the AAHMES Shrine Event Center; Ravenswood, The Veterans Hall and the new Robert Livermore Community Hall; in Pleasanton at the Senior Center, Century House and Veterans Hall; in San Ramon at the Community Center and Senior Center; in Danville at the Community Center; in Walnut Creek at Heather Farm Center and Shadelands Art Center; in Hayward at Centennial Hall; on Treasure Island at Casa de la Vista; in Moraga at The Holy Trinity Cultural Center……to name a few.
We are the preferred caterer at White Crane Winery in Livermore and Westover Vineyards in Palomares Canyon (Castro Valley); and have catered on a weekly basis for the Golden State Warriors for their last 3 seasons.

What are your prices?
Our prices vary from $24.00 to $42.00 per person, plus California sales tax and service charge/gratuity (18%). Our prices include china, linen, silverware, glassware ,food service, coffee, skirting and cake service for weddings, items for which most caterers charge $5.00 to $15.00 extra. Be careful when you compare prices.
Is the service charge/gratuity subject to sales tax?
Yes, because it is in your catering contract and is not voluntary. The California State Board of Equalization mandates it.
Do you have references?
Yes. Look at our testimonials for a sample of real thank you notes we've received. We will supply reference contacts upon request.
Do you do just 'heavy' hors d'oeuvres?
Yes. We offer 'full service', with servers & bartenders, 'drop off' service or 'pick up' service, depending on the number of people at your event and your budget.
How many hors d'oeuvres do I get?
For pre-meal service there will be a total of five to seven per person, depending on items selected. For 'just hors d'oeuvres', two of each hors d'oeuvre selected per person.
If my budget is limited, how may I best utilize your services?
Contract with us for our 'Self Catering - To Go' at our restaurant, Girasole Grill, at 925.484.1001, or visit our web site at www.girasolegrill.com. You pick up these budget priced items and serve.
Do you have price breaks for children?
Yes. For buffet, children 6 to 11 are 70% of the adult price. Children 5 and under are free, but must be counted for seating. For sit down service, a price break is given if a specific child meal is selected.
Do you provide linen, silverware and glassware?
Yes, it is included in the price. The base package includes white linen, silverware and glassware for food service. If you would like glassware for the bar, please see our beverage packages. Colored linens are available upon request with an additional fee based on our cost incurred by renting them for you.
Do you provide bartenders and servers?
Yes, bartenders and servers are included in all full service catering jobs. We do not provide bartenders and servers for 'drop off' and 'you pick up' events or ones without a catering contract.
What is 'drop off' service?
We bring a buffet to you, set it up and return later. There will be no servers. A delivery & pick-up fee is charged, but is less than our service/gratuity charge.
What is 'you pick up' service?
You pick up the food at our restaurant, Girasole Grill, selections from our 'Self Catering - To Go' menu.
Do you have a corkage fee if we supply the beverages?
No, please visit the beverage page for more details.
Do you charge extra for wedding cake service?
No, it is included in the price.
Do you set up and clean up?
We require that you have all the tables and chairs in place. We will dress the table, clear the table, and clean the service/kitchen area, leaving it as we have found it. If you wish us to assemble the tables and chairs, and put them away, there is an additional fee. Janitorial service at your venue is extra.
If my facility does not have tables and chairs, can you provide them for me?
Yes, we will rent them for you, passing on the cost to you.
How many servers do you provide at my event?
As a general rule, we provide one server for every thirty people at a buffet. We provide one server for every twenty people at a sit down dinner.
Do you serve breakfast?
Yes, we will do brunch after 10:00 am.
Do you provide trash and garbage removal?
Yes, at an additional cost. Normally you must provide trash cans and removal service.
Do you have recommendations for Bakeries, DJ's, Photographers, and Florists?
Yes, we have a list of recommended vendors.
