We had our wedding ceremony (not reception) at the Saratoga Foothill Club on 5/7/11, which is rented through Panetta's. Overall, I would say that they did an okay job. The set-up on the day of was well done (the chairs in particular were very beautiful) and the appetizer arrangement was attractive. The company seemed a little disorganized, like when they claimed we hadn't paid them the rental fee even after our check had been deposited and the deposit statement was in our bank statement. I wasn't very pleased with the fact that catering was required in our rental contract for the Saratoga Foothill Club, so we were forced to order the appetizers (our reception was elsewhere). But that was okay, I guess. The main thing I didn't like about Panetta's was our point-of-contact, Lori, who was really pushy and unpleasant to work with. She wasn't respectful during our interactions and generally left me feeling belittled after our conversations. She just didn't seem like a nice person. She did give us good advice during our rehearsal the day before the ceremony, but then told us right then that she wasn't going to be present on the day of the ceremony even though she had originally said she would be there for the ceremony, which seemed like really late notice. Fortunately, everything went just fine (the rest of the Panetta staff are probably perfectly competent, and Erin in particular was really nice to work with). As another example, one of our groomsmen forgot his car keys inside the Club house during the rehearsal so he couldn't drive home. Lori had left by the time we realized this and when I called Lori, she was totally unhelpful and refused to do anything about it until I practically begged her in tears. In the end, Erin drove back and let us in and was totally nice about it. I really don't know why Lori was so awful - maybe she just isn't good at working with people with our personalities (we're both really reserved, quiet, and sensitive) and it's likely that she's more used to working with outgoing, demanding people who require push-back. I'm certainly never going near her again, not that this will come up. Anyway, be warned! It was still better to have a catering company than to have had to deal with the details of set-up and clean-up ourselves. There were no major disasters and they got the job done. :-D

The chicken Madeira is the best but watch out for Lori. Get all costs up front or you will end up very upset on your wedding day!~
We used Panetta's Catering for our event at Creekside Terrace in Los Gatos. I loved the food and the service. Myself and the groom consider ourselves foodies and really wanted to make an impact with the food selections for our guests. We provided a sit down style dinner to 143 of our closest friends and family (many of them from other countries), I was a little hesitant to do this at an outdoor location, but am so happy that we made the decision to do it.
We had passed appetizers that Panetta's passed around the entire property to insure that all our guests had a few bites during the cocktail hour (the blue cheese puffs were my favorite and the Wasabi Bites with Seared Ahi were my husbands)
Our wedding turned out to be perfect. The ceremony was in the redwood grove just behind the cabin, I made my entrance up the stone stairway, and my groom was at the top to greet me. I loved it all. After the ceremony our guests were directed to the upper lawns and patio's to start enjoying the party, we took photo's for an hour, and could have spent even more time with the photographer, but had to get back to dinner. The menu we choose was everything we wanted it to be. The sauces they did were so good, I cant wait to have their food again.
I read that another review here about them and could not believe what was said. Our experience was a million times better then theirs. I guess everyone has different expectations and challenges.
Anyway, I look forward to having a reason for another catered event, and will definately use Panetta's again! If anyone is getting married, and you love the outdoors, you have to checkout Creekside Terrace, in Los Gatos.

Panetta's catering was perfect. They offer a bridal package that includes a DJ, wedding cake and all food and linens and chairs. The food was fantastic! Everyone was so nice and proffesional. They helped us with the planning and answered all our questions. Our day would not have been the perfect day it was without them!

Their Food Was Great. They Were Very Unfriendly.
We got married at Creekside Terrace in August and it was a blast. Our family were both impressed and suprised at our choice of venue and caterer. Panetta's Catering handled everything with grace and elegance, our day went perfect. Our coordinator from Panetta's made sure our wishes were followed. We would reccomend them and plan to call them again.

"Wow! Where do I start....My husband and I got married in August and we hired Panetta's to cater our wedding. We hired them because we wanted to get married at Creekside Terrace Estate (which is beautiful), but it is too bad that you have to use Panetta's in order to get married at this site. Panetta's scheduled 5 weddings for the day of ours! That should have given us a clue.So here I go:*We paid for 114 guests--they set up only 104 seats at the reception.*Many people were left standing at the ceremony*There were no champagne flutes*We paid extra for wine glasses on the table (instead of plastic) but they did not even put wine on the tables so it was a waste!*They were short staffed*We were promissed coctail tables around the dance floor so that people could sit and watch the dancing, but the tables had no chairs!*They did not have enough plates, so they had to wash and re-use some!!!! So dinner took forever!*They changed our coordinator to Kathleen at the last minute--Who was really rude to our guests and close family (even my mother).*Our "coordinator" Kathleen did not say one word to my husband or I the entire day! Now that's "complete event coordination"!*Kathleen was wearing cotton shorts and a T-shirt when our guests arrived--how professional!AND TO TOP IT OFF... Panetta's will not even return our calls! They have their money...that's all they needed! Panetta's does not actually care about your special day."

The owner & his staff are very professional & attentive. They walked us through everything, reviewed details, offered advise and a wonderful package that we couldn't pass up.The ONLY complaint I had was that the chicken came out too dry. Everything else tasted fantastic!

We had our wedding at J/L Ranch in Gilroy, who works solely with Panettas. I feel like I got an amazing deal, and the wedding didn't have a single hitch. Decorations, music, everything was perfect. Just right for the occasion. Everyone loved the food and the cake, and the DJ was great.

Terrible service! They were not nice AT ALL!! My mother-in-law was disgusted and we almost switched caterers, but decided not to. However, this was a mistake as they were so casual and didn't even care about our special day. NEVER AGAIN.

I would highly recommend Panettas Catering. Panettas provided a package that included the food, drinks, cake and DJ service. It saved us the time of having to search for each vendor individually. My fiance and I had a full tasting of all the food ahead of time before booking and were very delighted. Even to this day my guests will say what great food we had at our wedding. Glenn was very pleasant to work with and worked with us to make sure everything was the way we wanted it. He met with us in advance at the reception hall to make sure he had every detail down. He even worked with us on drinks and provided different options because our reception hall would not allow alcohol. Panettas made my wedding planning much easier.
