Panini did my bride and groom's cake for my wedding this January. I loved my cakes so much! They weren't just beautiful but soooo delicious! I got so many compliments on the cakes and have already referred other bride-to-bes to them. They will also remake the top layer of your wedding cake for your one year anniversary so you don't have to eat frozen cake.

Panini is awesome!! Amazingly delicious cake, filling, and frosting - was very tough to decide on flavor. We chose the toasted almond buttercream and white cake for mine, and chocolate with chocolate buttercream for my husband. The designs were fantastic, and exactly what we wanted. Mine was not too crazy of a design, but my husband's was very custom and they nailed it! We really enjoyed our tasting - was very laid back and Sophie sat with us the whole time - exceptional service and they delivered everything they promised. Definitely recommend Panini!! I have already used them for a cake for a work function - they helped us in a pinch and I got compliments on how tasty it was.

Sophie did an amazing job with designing our cake! We had an initial consultation and tasted the cake flavors. The cake was delicious! We cannot wait to come back a year later for our anniversary cake. I highly recommend Panini Bakery - all brides will be very pleased.

So many bakers bake cakes that look good but lack taste (or vice versa) – with Panini you get both a stunning cake and delicious, delicious cake. 3 weeks after my wedding guests are still talking about the chocolate ganesh on the groom’s cake! Reasonable prices and creative, talented team. The bakery is committed to bringing your vision to life! One really neat thing they offer is if you take a photo of your cakes for their book, they make you a free cake on your first anniversary (so no eating icky year-old freezer burned cake!). 5 stars all the way around!

Panini Cakes was perfect for our wedding! We wanted beautiful cakes, but more importantly, we wanted cakes that were going to taste good! The women we met with to do our cake tasting with was sweet, knowledgeable, and ready to help our wedding cake dreams come true. I wanted a traditional white cake with our monogram on the side, and of course they did that beautifully, but in the end, it also tasted amazing! I picked out strawberry filling on two layers of the cake, and a cappuccino mousse for the center layer that all my guests raved about!
Moving to Dallas from California, one thing I realized is that the grooms cake is a southern tradition. Another cake at our wedding? Of course! Why not more cake? And this one gets to be fun! So my groom picked out a DELICIOUS German chocolate square cake with chocolate drizzle on top, sitting on top of that cake was a cheesecake! To make it unique, my husband is a huge Washington Redskins fan so we had a mini helmet sitting on top of the cheesecake. It was a huge hit!

We were refered Panini Bakery & Cakes by our florist. We decided to order cake at Panini even before we had actual tasting. We just walked in on one of their busy weekends, but Sophie was so nice and she explained everything and offered us cupcakes for the taste. We loved her personality and decided right away.

The actual wedding cake was wonderful!!! It looked elegant, just as I imagined...and it tasted good, too! I am so happy that we ordered our cake there. I would recommend to everybody!

Panini Bakery was fantastic. They worked with our ideas and delivered a beautiful, DELICIOUS cake for our wedding. A bit more expensive than I would have wanted to spend, but the finished product couldn't have been better. A+ on all fronts, no hassle - I recommend them without reservation.

We had a beautiful wedding cake made by Panini bakery. The cake was absolutely delicious and beautiful. Initially they did not want to use black icing because they were afraid it would bleed or would stain the guest's teeth. However, we were set on the black since those were our wedding colors and the cake would look too plain without it. The black was not much and was only for simple design. 95% of the cake was white buttercream icing. They accommodated our request and was able to produce a cake that did not bleed at all (or stain the guests' teeth). Most importantly, all the guests commented on how tasty the cake was. I would recommend Panini Bakery to anyone!

My wedding cake and my husband's groom cake were both beautiful and deliciously outstanding.
We cut the cake and each had our mouthful of cake for a few seconds. We went around to talk to guests, and BOTH cakes were finished (and we made sure to get EXTRA cake). AND our slices of cake that we had cut, had been eaten. We left Dallas the next day and I didn't get another bite of Panin's outstanding cake.

I can't wait until our one year anniversary and have a sample of the yumminess that is Panini's white chocolate raspberry!!! I also can't wait to see Sophie again. She was such a pleasure to work with. We did our fair share of tastings, and tried Panini's twice- but there is nothing like a cake from Panini.

Hands down - this was the best cake I've ever had in my life! The wedding cake was better than I could have envisioned. The cake was reasonably priced and also had the details that I wanted. I can't wait to get a cake for future occasions.

Delicious cakes!!! And beautiful too! My wedding cake was traditional with white-on-white piping; white cake with almond butter cream filling and butter cream frosting! Just amazing! The groom's cake was dark chocolate with cappuccino mousse..mmmm! It was Dr. Who themed (they were a little confused by that, but they pulled it off beautifully!)The cake was there when we arrived for the reception; no problems! Prices are pretty normal for wedding cakes. They also did a 25th anniversary cake for my parents a couple of years ago and it was wonderful as well! Highly recommend!

We went to SIX cake tastings in Dallas till we found the most delicious chocolate in town! We wanted people to remember loving our wedding cake. The brides cake was half chocolate, and half white. Panini fills the cake with a delucious mousse. The white chocolate mousse was the talk of the evening, as was the chocolate. We had 365 guests and bought a cake for 350, and the whole thing was devoured! Not one slice left! It was absolutely beautiful, and exactly like my daughter had drawn with a large fondant bow on the center layer and fondant roses on top. Sophie is a doll to work with. They are known for their consistency and dependability. Guests still talk about it being the best cake they've ever had. If you live in Dallas, you must use Panini!!! Tell her Donna sent you!

Panini is by far the best cake place in Dallas. :) The cakes are cheaper than Romano's, but taste much better and frankly they are much nicer. They are able to whip up flavors for you to taste immediately and their cakes are so much more moist and flavorful than other places we looked. Though Romano's is often talked about in Dallas media, Panini is clearly the better choice. She delivers a great product that looks professional and creative, and one that our guests have continued to comment on (they keep saying it was surprisingly delicious!). I highly recommend.

I LOVED MY CAKE! Thank you so much Panini Bakery! Sophie is so, so sweet and kind. At my consultation I had a cake picked out that was buttercream covered in fondant hydrangea petals. It turned out to be a little bit more expensive than I wanted to spend, but instead of trying to convince me to buy it, or suggesting I just get the basic package (buttercream cake with buttercream swirls and/or monogram), she suggested I get a cake with fewer hydrangea petals placed in cascades on the teirs. The cake was even more beautiful than my inspiration picture! I saved probably $200 and had a better-looking cake than I would have if Sophie hadn't helped me find something that fit my budget!

And the taste! I had two flavor fillings, almond filling and buttercream with fresh strawberries filling. They were so delicious! Everyone loved the cake!

We also had three flavors of cupcakes in lieu of actual grooms cake - mocha, german chocolate, and carrot cake. They were cute and so yummy!

I would absolutely recommend Panini Bakery to anyone - my lovely cake was one of the best things about my wedding!

Panini was highly recommended to me, but I was not impressed. The wedding cake turned out close to what we had hoped, but the groom's cake was no where near what we had hoped for. Both cakes tasted very good, but for $1200 I expected them to be perfect. I wanted a red-velvet cake for the groom's cake, and Sophie argued because they don't like to make red-velvet. I ultimately got it, but it wasn't without some pressure. I had specific design requirements in the cake, and it wasn't even close. I expected the cake to be dark brown/black, and it came out white! I had expected a silhouette of a person made of fondant on the cake, and instead it was a piece of cutout black construction paper. Really? I could have gotten a sheet cake from Costco and done that myself, and it would have tasted very good. Panini is good for walk-in cakes and pastries, but for a big event I can't recommend them.

I LOVE Sophie and Panini Bakery. My fiance and I tasted a lot of cakes and Panini was one of the last ones we tasted. So glad we decided to wait to make a decision after we tasted her cakes! The cakes were by far the best in Dallas and Sophie was very welcoming and great to work with. I came in with a picture of a cake from a magazine and not only did Sophie replicate it, but also added my wedding colors to make it more personal. Our cake was a 4 tier with fondant flowers on the middle layer, simply beautiful. Since we couldn't decide on what flavor/fillings to go with (since they were so delicious- the strawberry filling is my favorite), we went with all of them. The best part about Panini Bakery is their customer service. At our wedding, we thought we would have a ton of cake left over, and it wasn't the case after the wedding. We were so bummed we weren't able to try all the flavors and told our reception contact. Sophie called me and wanted us to be able to try the flavors we had on the cake and made us little samples. Not all bakeries would do this and what makes Panini stand apart even more. I was appreciate and overjoyed. The cakes are a bit pricey, and we decided to forgo a grooms cake in order to have one of these cakes. Thanks Sophie for the absolutely beautiful cake, you've earned a life long customer!!

This place is amazing!!! The cake I ordered from my wedding was the best cake I have EVER tasted!!! I am still getting compliments on how delicious it was! In addition, this venue does not want you to eat frozen cake a year later, so when your anniversary approaches you call them and they will make you a new top layer - complimentary!!!!!

We ordered a wedding cake and a groom's cake for our daughter's wedding on Sunday, May 29, 2011. The cakes, done in buttercream, were delicious...there was enough cake for twice the number of guests due to having the groom's cake, too, and almost every last bit of it was gone. The cakes were delivered on time and looked very nice. But, you will be happier if you are very specific about what you want rather than leaving it to the bakery so there are no surprises or pushback at the last minute.

Can't say enough about how great both the wedding and grooms cake were. Sophie had great ideas and did every thing we ask. Both cakes were beautiful and tasted wonderful! Price was very reasonable. Guest commented the wedding cake was the most delicious they had ever had.

Panini was great to work with! They sit down and have a design session with you providing you with actual cakes to look and to help visualize what works best for your number of guests.

While they only have a small number of flavors for wedding cakes - they make the best tasting cakes in Dallas! Everyone at my reception raved about my cake and a week later the left overs are still fresh and moist and fabulous! Best tasting cakes in town! Also prettiest cakes in town!

This was the only place we had a tasting at and we knew immediately that this was the cake we wanted at our wedding. At the tasting Sophie gives great portions to try and their pricing, while not the cheapest, is about average with most bakers. But the taste......it was the best cake I have ever had! At the wedding the cake was gorgeous and tasted as good as it looked.

The cake was stunning and tasted outstanding. I really loved that they promised a new 1 year cake top for us in exchange for a professional photo of the cake. The cake testing was early, but it was tasty. They worked with me to make my perfect cake.

Most important: the cakes at Panini are amazing. Since we had our tasting in March, we have purchased 4-5 cakes for family celebrations from Panini, because they’re that good. Also, the cake looked even better than I expected. Having a big show-stopper cake was another low priority for me, but Sophie understood what I was thinking of and delivered something even better. It was simple, but beautiful. And finally, Sophie is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. She remembers us every time we go in, and you can tell that she really cares about her customers. Plus, of the three bakeries where we had tastings, Panini had the best taste and the lowest cost!

The only bakery that we went to was Panini Bakery because after we met Sophie and tasted her cakes we did not need to go anywhere else! Our cakes were amazing and beautiful. In addition, she was extremely easy to work with. The last month we decided we wanted to add an airplane made out of cake instead of a model on top of the grooms cake and she was able to accommodate right away. The cake looked amazing and she matched it to the airline my husband works for. I wish that all of my vendors could have been as enjoyable to work with as she was!

Panini makes delicious cakes, what else do you need to know? Our chococolate wedding cake with cappuccino mousse buttercream cake was such a hit at the wedding that guests are still mentioning it to me. Panini is an excellent value for the product they provide, they were mid range on cake pricing during our research, but had the tastiest samples of all our tastings! Moist and rich, a Panini cake is bound to be a crowd pleaser!

Panini Bakery has been in the catering business a long time. They created the most beautiful and delicious cake for my wedding, a truly wonderful chocolate cake that people still are talking about. They really listen and personalize their service. The price was also very reasonable, particularly for the quality. I highly recommend Panini, you will not be disappointed.

I loved working with Sophie at Panini. We had to make the cake larger a week before the wedding (more RSVPs came in than I expected), she helped me with the design and executed it well, it was delivered on time and in good shape to my reception venue, and the cake was delicious. Many of my wedding guests complimented the cake (I had the white chocolate mousse with fresh raspberry filling). The cake was a little above my budget, but even when I looked at less expensive bakeries, once you added on more than the basic plain jane cake, the price was the same as Panini's.

THE most beautiful wedding cake I have ever seen! And this was the concensus among the wedding guests. It was also dubbed the most delicious wedding cake ever--white chocolate raspberry mousse! The only drawback was that by the end of the evening the cake was too soft for the bride & groom to take for a late night snack! Love, love, love this vendor!

I knew I wanted to use Panini before I was even engaged. I am in LOVE with their white chocolate raspberry mousse cake. I am given one every year for my birthday, so I knew I wanted to use them right away, solely because of how incredibly delicious it is! When I met with them, I gave them a picture I wanted to mimick exactly. I couldn't believe my eyes the first time I saw my cake at the reception. it was the most beautiful cake I had ever seen. It far exceeded my expectations and ended up being my favorite element of the decor at my wedding!! Not to mention, everyone else fell in love with the taste, of course!

We are very happy with how our caked turned out. It was so easy and they were very nice during our tasting. We literally gave them a picture from a magazine and they copied exactly that.

We chose lemon cake with a cream cheese lemon zest icing. It was so delicious. We had our leftovers at the hotel pool the day after the wedding and random people were eating it and saying it was the best cake they've ever had.

They delivered it early to our venue with no problems and the cost was a pretty good value since it was super simple.

We could not have been happier with Sophie and Panini Bakery! She made our dreams of a "My Fair Lady" cake and a Batman groom's cake possible! Not only was she affordable and very easy to work with, but the cake tasted amazing. After attending tastings at over 15 bakeries, we were desperate to find a cake that tasted homemade and didn't sacrifice taste for their design. She even made our favors (packages of snickerdoodle cookies) and wrapped them for us using ribbon and labels I designed myself. She was extremely polite and accommodating and since our wedding we've bought several cakes from her for various birthdays and parties. We'll never go anywhere else and can't wait for our first anniversary!

Panini Bakery was the best! We worked with Sophie who was so accommodating - during our tasting she had so many pictures for us to look at as examples and made sure we were happy with our choices. We went with all of her suggestions and honestly didn't know exactly how the cake would turn out until the day of - it was beautiful, complimented our decor perfectly, and was delicious. My mother and I did 5 tastings at various bakeries, and there was no doubt that Panini was the best cake of all. It was an incredible cake and truly beautiful. We had four layers, all different flavors (I just could not pick a favorite), and we did not have any left to take home after the wedding. Sophie was amazing through the whole process. I live an hour away from the bakery, and I've driven back into Dallas twice to buy cakes since, they are just that good!!! We used Panini Bakery for our wedding cake and groom cake and were so impressed by Sophie and her team that we cant wait to find an excuse to order another cake from them. First of all, the taste of the cakes were amazing!! We received nothing but compliments from our guests about how beautiful, moist and delicious they were. Second, we had a very tight budget to work with and not only did Sophie take that into consideration, she also offered creative ideas that would help us get exactly what we wanted. We had sampled some cake at other bakeries and were not impressed with the taste or the price. After seeing some reviews of Panini bakery, we scheduled an appointment. What a difference! The samples you get are actual pieces of cake so you can really determine which flavor you like. Oh, and the cake is so moist and delicious! So many of our guests were asking where the cake came from and we even ordered another cake so some of our relatives could take it home with them. Sophie was great to work with and is very creative! It's great to know you can get such a great tasting cake at an affordable price.

This is the best cake in Dallas!!!! After our tasting we stopped in at least 5 times before the wedding to get some cake, its so good! We even ordered the bridal shower cake from them and received so many compliments and inquiries about the bakery. Everyone at Panini is so friendly and we really felt like we were treated like part of their family. The cake is extremely affordable and delicious, we'll never order cake from anywhere else again!

Sophie was really great about helping me to come up with ideas for my wedding cake, since I didn't really have a well-formed idea when I walked in. She was very easy-going, and very professional. My MIL lives out of town, and so she had to tell her over the phone what she wanted for the groom's cake. Both cakes turned out wonderfully, and of course, tasted GREAT!

Almost one year has passed since that glorious day, and we and others still rave about the bride and groom's cakes provided by Panini Bakery. The cakes were fresh, moist, beautifully decorated, and, in our opinion, the best wedding cakes we have ever tasted. As the bride and groom our view may seem subjective, but we've heard similar comments from others who attended our reception. For the bride's cake we had raspberry cream cake, and for the groom's we had chocolate mousse cake. To cut the cost a bit, we also had sheet cakes, made in the same flavors, in addition to the bride and groom's cakes. For a large wedding, the backup sheet cakes work very well.

And Panini's service was as excellent as the cakes. Once we placed our order, very little was required of us. Panini worked with our florist for the final touches on the cake's decorations, and we didn't have to lift a finger concerning the delivery of the cakes to the church. We didn't even have to think about it.

Eight months after our wedding, we took the top of the bride's cake, which had been stored in the freezer, and ate it for our February birthdays. It was just as good as the day of the wedding, and our birthday guests agreed! It was a little disheveled looking, as would be expected, but Panini did a quick, little touch-up on it so we could be comfortable serving it to others.

Now we're approaching our one year anniversary, and we eagerly await the free, anniversary cake that Panini provides. Our mouths water just thinking about it!

We loved our cake SO MUCH. Sophie, the co-owner, was great and really let us take our time at the tasting, helping us consolidate our unorganized ideas about what we wanted without being overbearing. Our cake looked gorgeous as well as tasting great, completely matching the vision that we laid out on paper at our initial meeting. Panini uses homemade buttercream frosting, charges by the layer instead of by the slice, and doesn't charge you more for using different flavors or fillings, and their cake is so moist and delicious. We had three layers of white cake with cappuccino, amaretto, and raspberry-white chocolate ganache filling, and they went so fast that my own mother didn't even get a slice! People definitely went back for seconds.

All our guests loved our wedding & groom's cake. We didn't have anything left over! The cakes were of gourmet quality and a great price. Not a lot of vendors will put fresh fruits in their fillings, but Panini bakery does; and that makes a huge difference in taste!

Panini cakes did an AWESOME job on our wedding cake. Our cake was 4 tiers with 3 different flavors AND you don't have to keep the top layer of the cake because they will bake you a small cake on your anniversay in exchange for a photo of the wedding cake! I've gotten rave reviews about how good cake was and how light the buttercream was. My husband's step mother who LOVES buttercream couldn't believe how incredibly fluffy the buttercream frosting was and I agree. Both the cake the the buttercream were so light and fluffy and exactly what I was looking for. You can't beat their pricing which was a fraction of the quotes I was getting from other bakers and Panini Cakes tasted better then all of them! I'll definitely start ordering all special occasion cakes from them!

Our wedding cake and groom's cake were so wonderful! They were absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing!! I had a vague idea of what I wanted, showed Sophie pictures of my dress, and she began to sketch the wedding cake beautifully - it was exactly what I didn't know I wanted! The wedding cake was five tiers with three different flavors of filling. The toasted almond is the greatest! We would have made the whole cake that flavor if we weren't worried about nut allergies. The groom's cake was three tiers with chocolate ganache and a middle tier with mosaic chocolate pieces (other places told us we would have to do it with fondant), with chocolate-covered strawberries on top and a few on each layer. Both were so delicious, and we got so many compliments on them. When people who hadn't gone to the wedding saw the photos, many of them commented on how beautiful the wedding cake, in particular, was.

Sophie, the co-owner, is so great to work with. She is mild-mannered, reassuring, very professional, and you can feel her excitement for what she does and her excitement about your wedding. As one reviewer mentioned, she has great vision. Once she sketched the cakes, I knew they would be exactly what I wanted. They also don't have to do any advertising - they have such great business and customers from referrals.

I can't wait to get our free top layer on our anniversary, and I'll be sure to buy other cakes from Panini throughout the year! They are so great - all around!

Sophie & Panini Bakery did a fantastic job! I had numerous comments on the Bride's cake...especially from those that normally stick to eating the traditional chocolate Groom's cake. I highly recommend any & everyone use their services.

This is the best wedding cake in Dallas. It was beautiful and delicious. The wedding cake looked like the bridal dress and the grooms cake was a work of art. It looked like the grooms firefighter helmet. The cakes were fantastic! Very easy to work with. Sophie is great!

Panini cakes are the best in Dallas, they not only look fabulous, but taste just as good. Everyone raved about the cake, and it was a plesant surprise and we got so many compliments on the cakes.

oh they did SUCH a great job! We shopped around with a few bakers and Panini was far and away the best! Sopie was really flexible and sat for as long as it took to understand our ideas for what we wanted - our groom's cake was crazy and she was so wonderful in working with us to make it look great (and hilarious)! She had a ton of pictures for us to look at to get ideas and REALLY understood our vision. Its like she was a mind-reader! We were so impressed with their work and I couldnt recommend them enough! Best of all, no need to save to top tier of your cake (gross)- they give you a complimentary cake on your one year anniversary!

I've purchased birthday cakes and various other baked goodies from Sophi at Panini for about 7 years, so there was no doubt (once we decided to actually have a wedding cake) that I'd purchase my wedding cakes from her. Panini also did my sister's wedding cake two years ago, and people still comment to her about how wonderful her cake was.

My bride and groom cakes were just exactly what I'd envisioned - who knew that you could actually make a cake in the shape of a huge Texas Longhorn head (my husband is a UT alum)? My cake was hardly traditional, but it fit the theme of my wedding perfectly. My guests were all very complimentary of how beautiful and festive it was, and then they tasted it. Folks were begging to take cake home with them!

Panini is an awesome bakery! Sophie worked with me to design the exact wedding cake and groom's cake (actually groom's brownie) that we wanted. The end result was beautiful! Not to mention how good the cake tastes. I have had at least 10 people tell me that it was the best cake they had ever tasted! After comparing it to about 4 other bakeries, Panini won my vote hands down! I couldn't believe that their price was at least $200 cheaper than all the other places I had been quoted! I definitely recommend this bakery.

Note: They have a ton of other great stuff besides wedding cakes! Now I use Panini for pretty much everything - birthday cakes, cupcakes, cookies, wedding showers, baby showers, etc!

The cakes were beautiful! Sophie helped us with the idea for the grooms cake - the shape of a film reel (my husband is a camera operator). They were awesome!

I cannot say enough GREAT things about Panini Cakes! They were hands down our BEST vendor on our wedding day. I will break it down into reasons why we loved them.

1. Price was very reasonable in my opinion.
2. The lady we worked with, who I believe is the owner, was SO nice, very friendly, and easy to talk to.
3. They had no problem taking a design I drew up and replicating it. The cake we got looked almost exactly like my drawing. It was gorgeous and we had SO many compliments.
4. The cake TASTED AMAZING!! I normally don't even LIKE cake because it's heavy and sugary but this cake was lightweight and really truly amazing. I loved it.

Absolutely beautiful! The service was amazing and made me feel that I was the only customer she was working with. She worked with me on everything. I was a little hard on what i wanted and she made everything exactly what I wanted. She called a few weeks before the wedding wanting to know if i needing anything else or if I was ok with all the stress from the wedding. So so so sweet. The cake was delicious and beautiful! Love this vendor.

We had 2 cakes: a 5 layer vanilla cake with fresh raspberry filling and white chocolate icing and a chocolate grooms cake with chocolate ganache and chocolate icing with chocolate covered strawberries on top. THE BEST WEDDING CAKE I'VE EVER HAD!

I was very pleased with the service I received from Panini Cakes. Sophie, the owner, was very friendly, and the cake was pretty, and most importantly, delicious.

How good is Panini? I first purchased a cake for them for my first wedding. There were no leftovers. None. Not even the top tier, which the family took home and ate. Four months later, when I had my second wedding (Don't worry, I was marrying the same guy! Long story as to why we had two weddings.), I chose Panini again, and in between, we purchased a Father's day cake from them. We've been happy with all the cakes they've made for us, and we are looking forward to going back on our anniversary--as a previous reviewer stated, they'll make an anniversary cake for you in exchange for a photograph of your original wedding cake.

Panini made a gorgeous and delicious wedding cake. It was exactly as I had imagined. The owner/baker, Sophie, takes great pride in her creations. Everyone loved my wedding cake! On your anniversary, Sophie will bake a complimentary top layer of your wedding cake if you present a picture of it.

Not only are their cakes beautiful, but they taste heavenly. They are so moist. I loved their cakes. Panini is definitely the best choice for cakes in Dallas.
