I saved a ton by making my invitations and favors. I bought all the cardstock and envelopes from Paper Source and then printed them on my computer. I also bought labels and an embosser from them. They have large books of sample invitations to look through and the employees are super helpful.

I love Paper Source because they had the perfect yellow that I was looking for. Everyone is always nice and helpful. If you go in every aisle you start getting DIY ideas. We DIY'd our invitations and found all of our materials here. We were lucky we stopped in that day because all the silver stuff was 50% off.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's not cheap.

I got my main (A6) and reply (4bar) envelopes for invitations here. Excellent selection of colors and variety. A little on the pricier side, though.

For couples who are on a budget and opting to do DIY projects for their wedding to help cut costs this is a post for you. We were on a very strict budget (see my other posts under my user name ard09) and we knew that invitations would be really expensive. I wanted a traditional announcement but designed it to reflect our personalities. None of the styles we looked at matched us personality wise and not to mention, cost tons of money. The invites we looked at ranged from $600-$1000 and we didn't want to spend that money. So instead, a friend took me to Paper Source. This is the best store ever and they have a website for those who live out of California (www.papersource.com).
Papersource is the DIY, crafty, scrapbooking, etc type of store for all occassions. They have employees who are so creative and thinkers of out of the box. The staff at the San Jose, Santana Row location were so helpful to me and even asked for the finished product since our save the dates, invites, and programs were being made out of supplies purchased from their store.
Some notes, stamps are pricey so if you can find stamps elsehwere that would be helpful. Know that you are never rushed inside Papersource but plan on going on a weeknight as weekends are extremely busy and finding someone to help get "Creative" with you might take a while. All in all-we spend under $400 for all of our invitiations.

Beautiful paper! Sort of expensive but really beautiful!!

Thanks to Paper Source, my husband and I were inspired to go the DIY route. We went in the store during one of their wedding workshops and learned about embossing! We didn't even know about it until then! We learned how easily things can be made/decorated and one of their invitation sample was the real inspiration. We made numerous trips there. The staff is very helpful and their supplies and choices/quality of paper are incredible. Thanks to Paper Source, we made/decorated our own invitations, RSVP, programs, placecards, and favor boxes. Can't believe how great it came out!

In addition to all the beautiful DIY items, I purchased my invites and STD's here. Great and helpful staff :)
My invites were thru their letterpress program and I give them an A+++
So glam and unique, thank you Paper Source!

The process was straightforward and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. I thought that the invitations were a bit pricey, but the quality was high. As a graphic design enthusiast, invitations were something I was willing to spend a little extra money on and I was not disappointed -- Paper Source has a great color palette and their selection of papers and letterpress fonts is nice, too.
Be sure to check out their samples for inspiration, and you might want to come prepared with the text you'd like to see on your invitations and reply cards (written out but also already proofread by any inquiring minds) to save time.

Everyone at Paper Source is so helpful. They have a selection of products and invitation that cannot be beat! I had my wedding invitation letterpressed here. I had custom art, which was so easy to submit. I then used their products to make an enclosure for my invite. I also bought all the materials to make place cards, ribbon for all the flowers, paper which decorated the tables. I did my save-the-dates here, and also the "day after" brunch invites. Their staff is highly knowledgeable and very helpful.

Thank goodness Paper Source came to San Jose when they did. We made so many trips to this place it was crazy. We did not make our invitations through Paper Source but we made our own programs, seating cards, table name cards, parts of our giveaways, and thank you letters with Paper Source paper. I think that maybe our programs turned out just as nice if not nicer than our invitations. The Paper Source staff are incredibly helpful and nice. We met many of them because of our multiple trips here, and everyone was great! You can return anything that is unopened or unused, and they have classes. My husband even signed up for the invitation making class, but unfortunately they canceled it!! i don't think we got our money back for that, so that is the only negative thing.

I used the one in Costa Mesa, California. I love their products. Customer service was great. I would use them again.

All the bridezillas were super excited to hear that Paper Source finally opened this past week. I know because I'm one of them, and I was already in line to buy my invitation envelopes.
Paper Source is a great place for wedding paper goods like:
-DIY wedding invitations (they have kits, too)
-wedding escort cards
-guest books
-favor boxes
-archival quality pens
Also, for the lay folk:
-paper flower kits
-pretty stationery
-gift wrap sheets
-DIY gift card kits
-unusual books
I particularly love the Japanese papers they use. So pretty!

HUGE store. Much bigger than the San Francisco stores (and also not as crowded). The staff is super friendly and helpful. Very large selection and very clean.
