Paperwhite Photography

We knew we wanted Eric as our photographer after our initial meeting with him. He has such a great personality that makes him fun to work with. The poor guy had my whole family there when he showed us some of his recent work.

On our wedding day, Eric was great! Actually, he was amazingly perfect. Everything we could have asked for in a photgrapher. He made us laugh, and that's what we wanted. He worked so hard, and diligently.

While we were waiting for the photos, I was so anxious to see the photos, and I had high expectations and he definitely exceeded those expectations.

We looked at all of our photos, all million of them, and I was in awe. He has created a memory for us that will last forever. I don't think I could ask for a better photographer.

Eric is amazing!!!! I am so pleased with how all of the wedding photos came out. It has been a challenge to choose which photos to print and scrapbook because there are so many great shots! What a fabulous problem to have. Eric captured every moment that we hoped. He is by far the best value and photographer in this price range. Photography is the one place you don't want to skimp on, but you don't have to with Paperwhite, very reasonable. And the turn around time to get photos was one month. That is unheard of, he also did a phenomenal job on our slide show. You also own all of your photos, no print fees. You will be so glad you chose Paperwhite!

It was a pleasure to work with Eric and Chris. Eric is friendly, professional, and truly goes the extra mile for his clients. Our photo booth was not at our site, and Eric ran around to other weddings that were at our venue to find the photo booth, which meant a lot to us. Our photos are beautiful and classy, and Eric meets with you before hand to get an idea of the style of photos you would like, as well as a list of names for the formal shots. The more specific you get about who and what you would like photos of, the better. It took approximately six weeks for Eric to edit and compile our photos, as well as make a wonderful slide show that captures the wedding. The price for two excellent photographers is unbeatable.

We were married in June 2010 and had the pleasure of collaborating with Eric on our wedding ceremony and reception photography. We would recommend him to any bride and groom, especially those looking to really capture the story of your wedding day beyond just the standard family formals and traditional wedding activities. Not only was Eric professional, organized and flexible, but his personable style and enthusiasm truly put us, our families and our guests at ease for formal and informal photos.

We were very happy with the value of our package selection, the quality of the photos and how quickly they arrived -- less than a month after our wedding date! Although the delivery time understandably fluctuates depending on the season and how busy it may be, we were thrilled to have a beautifully presented digital photo slideshow set to music to share with friends and family so soon after our big day.

Eric and his associate were absolutely fantastic! We did most of our planning via email and I was impressed with his organization and how easy he made the pre-planning for me. Once he showed up at the church he and his associate went to work and I've never seen anyone work harder! His vision and eye for detail made for some of the most amazing pictures I've ever seen. The weeks leading up to our wedding day, Eric helped us make a realistic timeline and checklist of photos we'd be able to capture, complete with family names and times. This list was SO helpful on the day of our wedding especially when it came to family photos, which can normally be chaotic. Eric’s enthusiasm throughout our entire wedding day made us feel like every shot he took was the best he'd ever taken. I was in a wedding Paperwhite photographed. Eric was amazing. He was cracking jokes and making everyone feel really comfortable in what are usually awkward posed photos. The photos for my friends wedding were gorgeous. Eric made everyone look ridiculously good looking.

Then I chose Paperwhite to photograph my wedding. I would have to say this was the best decision I made in wedding planning (other than picking the right husband). First Eric was extremely professional. He wore business attire for our first meeting (and at the wedding). He showed us an entire wedding he had recently shot to show us what we should expect. He explained the contract to us. He made us feel comfortable we were choosing the right photographer.

On my wedding day, Eric and his assistant photographer were early to scope out the surroundings. The church where we were married was strict on time limits for photos. Eric was extremely organized and got all of our family portraits done in 30 minutes and no one felt rushed. It was impressive. Afterwards we took more intimate husband wife photos around the area of our church.

When we got to the reception, Eric and his assistant almost seemed to disappear into the walls, but they managed to capture every moment.

The best part are the photos afterwards. Eric put together a slideshow with our photos. I love it more than my wedding video.

The pictures are just beautiful. Everyone who sees them comments on how gorgeous they are.

If you are a photo geek you will love these photos. Paperwhite Photography shoots in RAW, so the photos have the purest blacks and whites. (he gives you a disc with every photo in color, and black and white)

My husband and I completely fell in love with our pictures! We had our engagement shoot, wedding photos and are planning another shoot with Paperwhite Photography. Eric and Paperwhite Photography have far exceeded our expectations for our wedding photos. He is professional and at the same time made us feel comfortable and relaxed the entire time. We were looking for someone who wouldn't be dressed in all black wearing a fanny pack with lenses and flashes falling out and blocking everyone's view, (if you've been to a wedding lately you know the type). Eric Slay is professional yet fun, high energy, incredibly flexible and the best part of all, he will deliver amazing photography for your engagement session or wedding. We had a few curve balls thrown our way on the day of the wedding (the post ceremony beach shots were overtaken by the Manhattan Beach Volleyball Tourney), but Eric made adjustments and we came away with great photos at our last minute alternative location. We are in love with our pictures and are so happy Eric was there to capture everything.

We recently booked Eric for our wedding in May. We were referred through a friend who had nothing but INCREDIBLE things to say about his work. (She has worked with him numerous times!) His website portrayed the exact style I was looking for so we set up an appointment. While we were there he took us through a wedding and showed us the exact type of shots he likes to take. Rather than just give us the basic details, he really took the time to explain why he took which picture and the story it told. His style is very photo journalistic and so REAL (which I absolutely love as compared to the "stand, smile, pose" style!). There are not enough words that could properly describe my experience with Paperwhite Photography. I felt completely at ease from the first meeting with Eric. He gave us a run through of his previous work and explained to us why he loves weddings. He went in depth about his eagerness to capture the moments and "tell the story." You could see that this was truly a passion, which was important to me because I didn't want to hire someone that was merely there to point, click and leave. Paperwhite provided absolute professionalism, but in a way that was still incredibly fun and energetic. Eric from Paperwhite Photography made me feel at ease about my wedding photos. The pictures were amazing and truly captured who my husband and I are. We don't like traditional wedding photos and Eric understood that and produced exactly what we hope for. It was an amazing day and the last thing I worried about were my pictures. Paperwhite Photography was vital in making our wedding day a success. Eric & Dan were GREAT to work with! Eric Slay is a wonderful wonderful photographer. I cannot emphasize enough the beauty of his pictures, the ease to work with him, his personable nature, and his value. It was a great experience to use him as our wedding photographer. Eric was more than willing to accomodate what we wanted. We had a mixture of formal and "fun" pictures and it was great because he scouted out the area before our wedding and provided ideas for fun pictures. Our friends have commented that our wedding photographs look like they belong in modern wedding magazines.

Eric Slay was our wedding photographer in Huntington Beach, California in March 2006. With his background in child photography, he was very good at organizing our family and positioning everyone for different poses. I also gave him a list of shots we wanted photographed. Eric was very professional, gave excellent recommendations on the type of pictures we wanted photographed (i.e. serious, humorous, combination) and visited the wedding site prior to our wedding day to see what time would be ideal to take pictures before the ceremony based on the weather and sunset. I would highly recommend Eric as your wedding photographer or as your photographer for an anniversary, baby pictures, family portrait, etc.
