Tu of Paracel Restaurant in Westminster deserves more than 5 stars. You will not regret your decision to hire Paracel. They provide both outstanding food and outstanding service at reasonable prices- an absolute must when planning a wedding.

I spent hours researching and visiting restaurants from Asian to American to fusion in search of the best food to serve at our wedding held at the Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda in November 2011. To this day, our guests still rave about the amazing food. In addition, Tu is AMAZING to work with- he is professional, knowledgeable about catering and weddings, and always goes above and beyond to ensure that his food and service is top notch. Paracel exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend them!

When we first started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted to serve fantastic food to our more than 250+ guests at an amazing venue. We visited countless venues in OC and selected the Nixon Library. However, this venue requires you to use a preferred vendor from a list, which only listed a few options. This was so disappointing. Fortunately, the Nixon's catering coordinator agreed to meet with Tu of Paracel. Even before we booked him, Tu met with them several times to provide them all the information that they needed to determine if he met the Nixon's standards to become an approved vendor. This is just one of the many examples of Tu going the extra mile for us. The good news is that Paracel is now an approved vendor with the Nixon and he catered our wedding!

Over the next several months, Tu invited us to visit his restaurant to taste his dishes. He helped us come up with a personalized 8 course wedding menu that included our favorite dishes (Peking Duck, Lobster, Filet Mignon, Seafood Chow Mein, etc.). He also provided the lazy susan and necessary dishes/flat wear that were not provided by the Nixon for each table at our reception.

During the reception, each dish was cooked to perfection and came out timely (very important when you are serving multiple courses and still want time to dance, toss the bouquet/garter). Tu also prepared a mini plate of each course to serve at our sweetheart table, which we appreciated. Another example of Tu's outstanding service is that he packed up to-go containers that he gave our wedding coordinator to give to us to eat at the hotel after the reception. This was such a thoughtful gesture since we were so busy during the reception that we barely had time to eat.

Paracel might not look like much at first sight but it has a lot of potential. As my wedding planner had advised me you can dress up practically any venue. I decided to visit Parcel when they had a wedding just to see how the venue would be set up. To my delight, they really out did themselves. From Gobo lightings to inhouse uplights.

Our main concern was the food and service. Once we ate at Paracel we knew this was it. They also cater at a few hotels in Orange County including Marriott Anaheim and Marriott Suites. Since our wedding ceremony is down the street at Mile Square Golf Course we decided to book at Paracel. The space can fit up to about 40 Tables but we wouldn't advise that. They fit about 300 people comfortably. If you have more than 300 guests you should consider booking at the hotels and have Paracel cater. The manager Tim was very helpful. He was straight forward and he stayed within our budget. He even gave us hints on how to cut cost at his own restaurant. That's almost unheard of. Our packaged included so much that it was a no brainer to book here. I asked the manager many questions and threw in a few nightmare scenarios and Tim answered them all and was very accommodating. He doesn't really push any vendors and usually says "Save your money, do this not that."

I hired Paracel Seafood Restaurant as my caterer at a hotel. I was already amazed at the flexibility and professionalism this vendor had given us. We had a food tasting the year before and I was happy to know they were able to switch things around for us and still was very competitive. This is the BEST bang for your buck. I saved a ton of money and my guests all told me the food was great! The cool part was they packed the food we didn't eat and sent it up to our room at the hotel! The personal touches and thoughtfulness of this caterer speaks volumes. Thanks Paracel for making it a great and memorable day for us. We couldn't have done it without you.

I love Paracel Seafood. I have worked with them at least 10 times in the past few years. Each time I come back they are upgrading their decor and their venue keeps getting better and better looking. I love how they have beautiful draperies on wedding days. It gives a warm and cozy feel compared to a hotel.

Paracel's food is the best food I have had at a wedding. They serve 7 to I think 14 course meals! I love the way their food taste (very flavorful), comes out hot, service is fast, and overall organized. Their food is also reasonably priced. I give them thumbs up!
