Inn at the Park

I had both my ceremony and reception at Park Manor Suites and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I had a small wedding of about 80 guests and had an old hollywood glamour theme to my wedding. This place fit my vision for my wedding perfectly with the crystal chandeliers and the antique furnishings. It was also a great deal! They include the taxes and gratuities when they quote you a price. We had dinner service and a coordinator included in our package, as well as a hotel room to get ready in and stay the night in. The wedding coordinator is fantastic and was always happy to answer my questions and provide feedback when I needed help with something or needed an opinion. He made sure everything ran smoothly the day of and I was able to relax and enjoy the day without worrying about a thing. Everyone complimented on how beautiful the wedding was and that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Part of that was due to the great food and staff at Park Manor. I would highly recommend this place!

Where: Park Manor Suites (on Sixth and Spruce between downtown and Hillcrest) in the rooftop ballroom (called Top of the Park)

How Much: around $8500 in all ($76/person for a plated meal, $500 of hosted beer and wine, $100 to add chair cover sashes)

To Be Noted: My brother and SIL were married at Park Manor four years before us and my FI and I did not want to be copycats, but after looking at a dozen other locations, we always came back to Park Manor because the price includes EVERYTHING! (Literally, the per person price includes all taxes, service charges/gratuity, wine on each table, cocktail hour of open bar, appetizers, champagne toast, linens, chair covers... EVERYTHING!)

What I looooove: Jim Harmon, the "catering manager" (who is actually more appropriately titled a free wedding coordinator) is the most incredibly kind, witty, creative and fun-loving man on the planet. Were he not gay, I would probably have tried to marry HIM! Seriously, he is such a doll and any bride who is considering having a wedding without a coordinator should consider Park Manor if not else, for Jim being a part of the package. He is very experienced and has such a great attitude that I honestly would have paid extra for him if need be.

The not-so-perfect part: The only downside to Park Manor is that the hotel rooms are very old ("quaint") and kind of pricey (although every room is a suite with a full kitchen, which some people might like) with a two-night minimum. There is no pool, gym or room service. Those things considered, none of our OOT guests chose to stay at PM, but considering how close the hotel is to downtown, they had PLENTY of great choices and no one complained. Also, the elevator is TINY and goes slowly, which can be irritating if you forget to "let go" and enjoy the ambiance of this awesome old hotel.
