I knew with having a beach wedding I definitely wanted live music for the ceremony. The choice that is recommended on the knot was booked so I started doing my research. I came across Pasadena Strings and knew they were meant for our wedding. It is a mother/daughter business, which went along with many of our vendors being family run. I unfortunately did not have the opportunity of personally meeting them the day of due to the chaos of a wedding day and a brides role. They arrived on time and the music was beautiful and added that special touch I wanted. I highly recommend them for anyone seeking a string quartet or any other combination.
They were so professional and friendly. The music was beautiful, from the little I heard. I had many guests tell me how wonderful the ceremony music was as well. Anne was great to work with. Communication was great. She worked with us to make sure she played exactly what we wanted at the ceremony and they pulled it off perfectly.
Excellent! Pasadena Strings completed what ended up being a perfect wedding. They were also able to accommodate a last minute request for an extra hour’s worth of music for our cocktail hour.

I was very pleased with the Pasadena Strings trio (violin, cello, guitar) in every respect, and would highly recommend them. They were very accommodating, to the point of acquiring the music for a request that was not in their repertoire and doing a special arrangement of that song as well as two others. Their performance of these songs was so beautiful and helped make my daughter’s wedding day something extra-special. Their level of professionalism and talent is first-rate!
About Pasadena Strings
We feature various combinations of violin, viola, cello, classical guitar, Celtic harp, and other acoustic instruments.
Our music ranges from the Renaissance through Bluegrass and Classic love songs, including vocals and traditional American folk instruments such as banjo, mandolin and hammered dulcimer.
We enjoy expanding our repertoire to music of other cultures, and we are happy to include your family or friends as soloists. Pasadena Strings musicians make it a priority to interact in a respectful manner with your guests and we enjoy sharing our music with children.
Our core ensembles are:
String Quartet; String Trios including Violin, Cello, and Classical/Acoustic Guitar; Violin, Viola, and Cello; and Violin, Cello, and Celtic Harp; String Duos including Violin and Cello; Violin and Guitar; and Violin and Celtic Harp or Piano.
The Moreton Bay String Band features Violin, Cello, String Bass, Mandolin, Guitar, Banjo, Hammered Dulcimer and Recorders.
