Amazing, Paige was great and created so many beautiful arrangements that fit exactly what we wanted (without knowing how to get it). We did a few test centerpieces where she "threw some things together" in about 4 mins, flowers just laying all around and it was BEAUTIFUL! The flowers at the wedding on the tables and at the church were placed right where they should have been, nothing tacky or too big for the space (or tables). Prices were a little higher than others but we have worked with Paige (and her team) on other events as well and she is very accommodating, knows what she is doing and great vision of how the end product will look.
Passiflora was recommended to us by our coordinator. My husband and I have seen her work previously at a friend's wedding the year before and were floored by her talent. Needless to say, we were ecstatic to book her. We knew from the moment we met her that she was extremely knowledgeable. We gave Paige the colors we wanted her to incorporate and the theme that we wanted expressed. It was more on the "darker" side of the typical wedding (think "Nightmare Before Christmas," but happy). Her artistry came into play with very little specific input from us. She was able to make suggestions that were almost psychic.
We still did not know what to expect since we pretty much allowed her to run with our ideas. This was perfect because we got to share the same awe and surprise that our guests felt. We got so many compliments about how unique, yet beautiful our arrangements were; even my husband's succulent boutonniere was talked about. When was the last time a boutonniere was complimented? And my vintage bouquet turned out better than I had imagined. I not only wanted original, but beautiful, and it surpassed my expectations. And without a single rose.
The set up process was completely blind to us. Paige and her crew completely transformed Koi Palace entirely that the staff even made comments about it being their best event ever.
All of this did not come without a price. We went way over what we had initially planned to spend. But transforming a Chinese restaurant doesn't come cheap. We even had Paige make us custom lazy susans. By no means you should expect a bargain if you book Passiflora, but if you want a true artist as a florist then Paige should be on your short list.
Passiflora Designs did an amazing job on our wedding flowers. They went above and beyond. Paige Benjamin of Passiflora is so talented. She took my vision and executed it perfectly. Everything from the personals, to the ceremony pieces, to the table arrangements were so gorgeous. We got several compliments ... some of the guests said they were the most beautiful flowers they have ever seen at a wedding. I loved my wedding flowers! I'm so happy to be able to enjoy my flowers for years to come in photos and in memory. Thank you Paige and Claudia!
Page at Passiflora is amazing. Her work is so beautiful. Everything turned out great but there were 2 small things I was disappointed in but it may have been just because I didnt express exactly my vision.
1. I had paid for organza to be draped on poles in front of chapel. I wanted it to have a dreamy, flowy feel when people walked in. What I got was some white organza tightly wrapped around 2 of the poles with the other 4 poles left bare. This was totally not what I had in mind and was really sad when I pulled up to chapel and saw it the way it was. Also they had added some ivy to railing which I didnt like.
2. I had them make a large letter "E" out of mums which was to be placed above the fireplace at reception. I assumed they would do it with the green mums to match my color scheme and also the pomanders. But, it was in white. The wall it was on was white as well so it totally blended in and I dont think anyone saw it. I wish I would have specifically said that I wanted it green and I should have not assumed they would make it match the other items.
All in all everything was amazing. The centerpieces and bouquets were beautiful. One lesson learned is that dont assume they understand your vision. You have to be specific and even send pics so they know. I feel like I cant be mad because I didnt express what I wanted properly. They arent mind readers.
UPDATE: I was given a credit for the 2 items I was not satisfied with so I feel that was a nice gesture on their part.
Passiflora is definitely a very talented florist. I really loved the flowers for my wedding, and flowers are something that I always notice at weddings. Nevertheless, this vendor wasn't always the most prompt in terms of responding to emails (and I had to email Passiflora the entire time because I planned my wedding from abroad) and it was difficult to figure out what the vendor had in mind for certain arrangements because the vendor rarely could provide me pictures of its ideas. I think that the prices are a little bit high, but given the outcome, it's worth it.
The people at Passiflora were excellent. They listened to my requests and produced something better than I imagined. I was initially shocked by the price (of wedding flowers generally) but when I saw what they did, I really felt that I had got my money's worth.
Gorgeous flowers.. all my clients adore her!
