We had a great time tasting all the wedding cakes around town but my daughter decided on Randolph’s based on the tastings, their stellar reputation and their “out of this world” chocolate mousse cake for the Groom’s Cake. The cake was a classic butter cream with smooth icing and Swiss dots around the bases as my daughter requested, a beautiful classic. They used the topper from her parent’s wedding the same one her grandparents used. It could not have looked or tasted better.

The cake was beautiful, delicious, reasonably priced and delivered on time. It was exactly what we wanted (they even managed to make the buttercream icing...since I'm not a big fondant fan...almost look as smooth as fondant on the outside). We had them make a wedding-cake version of their lemon buttercream. Once we tasted it we kept going back to pick up the regular smaller cakes for various events, and I'm sure we'll keep going back to re-try our wedding cake. The guests raved and the venue staff was thrilled when we took the leftover we want and they were still left with a ton (the portions are generous anyway, and our guest list was trimmed significantly by the incoming hurricane) to eat themselves!

Pastries by Randolph did the cake for our wedding and it was absolutely delicious and beautiful! Also, they were very affordable compared to some of the bakeries we looked at. We would highly recommend Pastries by Randolph for anyone looking for a wedding cake! (We're already looking forward to that top tier!)

I have lived in Arlington for years and always knew how great Pastries By Randolph were. When it came time to get a wedding cake from them, I knew exactly where I would be going. They work with all kinds of budgets and help to cut costs where they can. They were able to maintain the theme of the wedding (peacock feathers) and it was executed beautifully. They arrived at the venue on time and set everything up excellently. They are professional and personable and answered all my questions in a timely manner.

We live right by Pastries by Randolph and visit often. So it was an obvious choice to have them do our wedding cake. Everything was all set in motion and all planned out. A couple of days before the wedding, we realized our cake topper was a little bigger than our top piece of cake was. They didn't hesitate and changed and rearranged the cake to make it work. And on the day of the wedding we had a great, delicious cake that had a cake topper that was perfect size for the cake. Thanks Randolph!

Randolph was GREAT! We could do a free cake tasting, where we were lucky that we found our cake. Then we got the exact great taste at the wedding day and a great look of the cake. We feel very lucky that we picked Randolph because the cake looks great on the pictures as well. They were totally affordable, work with our special requests, and gave us ideas by spending time with us looking through their wedding book. I don't think we could have asked for more. Thank you!

It's hard to suggest that any wedding cake in this area is a good value for the cost since they are all so expensive, but I did feel like Pastries by Randolph gave us a cake that looked more expensive than it was and tasted great. When you have your tasting, take the cake home and let it get to room temperature. We had it when it was cold and didn't like it, but tried it later that night and we were sold on it.

Don't expect a full service cake tasting. They don't really spend time with you helping you decide what sort of cake you should get it - they just sort of throw the samples and the book of pictures at you and let you figure it out yourself. It was unusual, but it worked for us.

Our cake was DELICIOUS and looked beautiful. The staff at Pastries by Randolph was incredibly helpful in advance by creating samples images of the cake and testing out colors so we were able to pick exactly what colors we wanted on the design of our cake. I only was able to snag a small bite, but we received a ton of compliments on the cake and the small bite I had was fantastic!

Pastries by Randolph was the prefect place to get my cake. They had a wide range of designs and flavors, but the owner, Deborah really gave me great advice and guidance. My guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious the cake was and how elegant it looked!

Our cake was not only beautiful, but DELICIOUS! Pastries by Randolph will not disappoint and they were easy to work with. Delivery went off without a hitch. In addition, their prices could not be beat. We added a Napoleon pastry grooms cake as well and wow it was good!

Randolph's provided our 3-tier cake for our wedding and it was fantastic. After tasting many dry or heavy cakes at other vendors, Randolph's was the best tasting as well as the best value. They were easy to work with and provided cake samples that gave us a good idea of the finished product. Our cake was vanilla cake with raspberry and almond buttercream fillings. The cake was moist and the trellis design in buttercream was beautiful. They even called us the night before to double-check the design details. Everyone loved the cake, having 2nd and 3rd pieces. We got 300 petite cookies - 200 butter, 100 mexican wedding - for our wedding for 81 dollars. They were great value and tasted delicious. My only issue was that they were not very good at keeping track of the order. The day before the wedding I called and it took 3 people to find the order. It was worth it...those cookies = little clouds of buttery deliciousness.

Pastries by Randolph did an amazing job! My cake looked stunning and it tasted amazing as well! My husband and I worked with Deborah Randolph and in the beginning gave her quite a challenge. We wanted our cake to be hand painted or piped with a peacock feather border, it wasn't a problem and they created two mock ups for us, they were amazing but not bridal enough so we went with a classic dotted pearl cake that was everything i had envisioned and so much more. Our florist added fresh flowers and peacock ornaments that i had found to it, and it was simple and so elegant. You will not be disappointed on taste either we went with a lemon cake with a lemon butter cream and raspberry filling! Delicious!!!

I worked with Deborah Randolph directly and she was phenomenal. We have always ordered cakes from this bakery in the past during Christmas time and for special occasions so when it came to ordering my wedding cake, I KNEW where I wanted to get it from.

We forgot how good our cake was until we ate it again the night of our wedding. We had tasted it almost 10 months earlier. It was phenomenal. I had made a few last minute adjustments to my order and Deborah accommodated without having me worry about anything. She was great to work with and I highly recommend this place to anyone in the future!

The other bakery we had hired had unexpectedly closed the week of the wedding, so it was so very kind of Pastries by Randolph to squeeze us in 5 days before the wedding .The associate at the store was so helpful in making sure they could create the same cake we originally designed and it even ended up being cheaper than our original bakery! The final product was beautiful and delicious.

Pastries by Randolph did a great job with our wedding cake. They were so helpful when we were ordering samples and choosing a cake design. They gave us great advice, which helped us narrow down the myriad of choices. The cake looked beautiful, and was really delicious! I usually don't remember wedding cakes, but this one was definitely memorable.

Pastries by Randolph was so refreshing to work with. They didn't insist that my cake had to be a "wedding cake", unlike other vendors I spoke with. The cake was delivered on Friday because of an impending blizzard, but it was still moist Saturday afternoon. And the buttercream frosting is to die for. I hate frosting of any kind, but I just wanted to keep eating the buttercream frosting that Pastries by Randolph uses. We had quite a few guests tell us the cake was the best they'd ever had at a wedding. You can't go wrong with Pastries by Randolph!

I had cupcakes and a small wedding cake from Pastries by Randolph at my wedding. I would travel for miles and miles to have the cupcakes from this bakery. They are the best! The cake was so good and very, very affordable compared to other bakeries in the area.

An excellent cake vendor for the couple who does not need a lot of follow-up. Randolph's fondant cakes are priced in the same range as buttercream cakes elsewhere... an excellent value for anyone wanting a fondant wedding cake. This sold us on Pastries by Randolph. They showed up on time to our reception site, they also did not need to continue to follow up with us during the months leading to the wedding. We cannot wait to go back for out anniversary tier as we have had no problems from this company... they are excellent. Great flavors, great fondant styles, great prices.

When we were looking for a cake, we really wanted a cake that tasted good. With Randolphs we met that goal. The cake was the best wedding cake that I ever tasted. My husband and I regret not eating more of it. Yum.

We ordered our wedding cake from Pastries by Randolph, since they had a partnership with our reception venue, Clyde's of Tysons Corner. My event manager at Clyde's was involved in the majority of the correspondence with Pastries by Randolph, since I was planning my wedding from the West Coast and was not available for taste-testing and visits. I just sent a few photos as examples and gave a description of what I wanted my wedding cake to look like. My husband and I were a little worried about how it would turn out, since we were not very involved in the process, but we were incredibly impressed with the wedding cake that greeted us on our wedding day. Pastries by Randolph concocted the most perfect cherry blossom three-tiered fondant wedding cake for us, more beautiful than we had imagined! Not only was it aesthetic stunning, but delicious as well. Our guests continue to rave about how great the cake tasted and looked even after the wedding. Thank you so much for a truly lovely wedding cake.

We loved our cake so much. Everything about it was perfect. They matched the shade of pink icing we wanted exactly to a piece of fabric we provided them. Plus, it tasted great! They have a lot of options for flavors but we went with a simple, yellow cake with strawberry buttercream filling.

Our wedding cake was delicious and looked beautiful. Randolph's was easy to work with but always very busy on the weekends. So, when you go to talk about flavors and design go during the week!

My husband and I tasted a lot of wedding cakes and although this was not the best wedding cake we had, it was a very close second. What Pastries by Randolph had going for it was the cost. The wedding cake was not the most important part of the wedding for the two of us. We just wanted a very simple wedding cake and we found a "template" that they had that we really liked. We chose a fondant cake and had them dye the fondant to match our color scheme. Everyone enjoyed the cake but we had plenty of leftovers. We saved the top of the cake for our first year anniversary and it was just as delicious as it was on our wedding day. It was probably the fondant that kept everything moist for all those months.

The wedding cake was amazing for my wedding. They were able to understand the exact design I wanted in addition to the taste. It was perfect in moisture and I received compliments from all my guests. Price is reasonable, you can't find cheaper cakes since food prices are soaring.

My family and I have been getting treats from Pastries by Randolph for years, so when it came time to get a wedding cake, this was an easy decision. However, we still did a couple of taste tests with other vendors just to be sure we were getting a good price, and a good cake. When we went in to sample the cakes, they allowed us to pick several different flavors. We were then able to take the samples home to taste test them there. Most other places make you try them all on the spot, and it can be rather overwhelming and awkward, not to mention quite a sugar rush. They delivered the cake on time on the day of the wedding, and it tasted great! Not frozen or leaning. Perfect. I would highly recommend.

Lisa's allergic to flour. Since most cakes and almost all wedding cakes are made of flour, this posed a problem in our search for a wedding cake or desert. Since cakes were out due to the allergy, we looked for other options for a fun desert to cap off the day. Our wedding planner found out that Pastries by Randolph made a small selection of wheat-free deserts. We went by the store and ordered samples of all the wheat-free items that they sold. I don't think they're a wedding cake baker, the store is a neighborhood pastry shop with tasty torts, cakes, cookies and breads. We liked the wheat-free deserts they made, and so just had them bake a whole bunch of the small individual deserts for our wedding. We had a desert buffet with all the wonderful small treats. We loved it because it helped close out our wedding in a nice fun way with deserts that Lisa could enjoy. Everything served at our wedding was food that Lisa could eat. The deserts were tasty and we loved the presentation that our caterers did with the buffet.
