Reviews for Patricia South's Bridal

They have a huge selection of designer wedding gowns. Allison was the sales person who helped us and she was great. They also have a huge selection of Bridesmaid, and Mommy dresses. I did not purchase our dresses here only because it was the first store we had visited and we wanted to see what else was out there.

I bought my wedding gown and veil from Patricia South's. They have a huge selection of gown for every price point. Their gowns are all beautiful, and none of them look cheap at all. The customer service was great, and the seamstresses were phenomenal! I would highly recommend them to any bride or bridesmaid looking for a beautiful dress whether it be a wedding gown or evening dress.

This was the second bridal shop I went to after running out the door from one of the not-to-be-named nationwide chains. My consultant was Amy and she was incredible. She sat down with me and asked me details about my wedding and what I had in mind for a dress. She and I then each picked about 3 dresses each for me to try on. The first one I tried on was one that she had picked out and I instantly fell in love with it. The other dresses just didn't do it for me. To be sure, I headed down to Coral Gables to try some more dresses on but none matched the dress Amy had found for me. No other salon even provided me a fraction of the attention I received at Paticia South's. I went back and they made the ordering process super easy. My dress comes in in January and I can't wait to try it on!

This place has the most amazing dresses. I went to Alfred Angelo and David's Bridal before coming here, and I must say that for the price, it's worth to spend an extra few hundred dollars to have a quality dress. They have designer labels as well as their own private label, but my dress was the Jenna by Maggie Sotero, and I love it!!! Their bridal consultants know exactly what kind of dresses to pull based on your likes and dislikes and body shape.

Amy was my consultant and even though I was just getting a bridesmaids dress she was veryHelpful and sweet. I will definitely be coming back for my wedding dress when and if I ever get married. Hopefully she is still there :):) Also the entire staff is lovely. I recommend this place for anyone who wants a stress- free shopping experience. :)

I absolutely LOVED Patricia South's Bridal. My bridal consultant was so amazing and so patient. They really make you feel special and it was the first time I really felt like a bride. My dress came in a couple of months early and it was perfect. The alterations and the bustle did not take very long either. I also got my make up girl from here and she was flawless and everyone's makeup looked incredible. They have photographers, hair stylists, make up artists there for anyone who needs these services it really is a one stop shop. Everyone there is so nice and helpful they want to make all their brides happy.

My experience was wonderful at Patricia South's Bridal! Even though I didn't end up finding my perfect gown there, my Bridal Consultant Amy Horn was EXTREMELY helpful, kind, patient, and attentive! She was such a pleasure to work with - especially with me being such an indecisive bride!!! She listened to everything that I, my mother, and my Godmother had to say, and it really helped with the direction of what type of gown I ended up going with. I totally recommend future brides to go to Patricia South's!

Stacey was my daughter's consultant when we bought her wedding dress. She was fantastic! The dress came in 1 month early and they stored the dress for a few months until the fittings started. The fittings went well and the dress looked amazing on the wedding day!

I had a great experience at Patricia South's Bridal. My mom and I originally made an appointment here because I really wanted to try on some Pronovias dresses. Unfortunately, when we got there, they said they didn't have ANY. I was so disappointed at first, but my consultant, Stacey, was great. I showed her photos of what I liked and she pulled some dresses for me to try on. She also offered to order the Pronovias gown that I wanted to try on (I declined, but appreciated the offer). Stacey really knows her stuff, especially when it comes to indecisive brides. She gave me the best advice I ever got when trying on wedding dresses: always compare to the one you like the most; That way, you don't end up with 10 dresses that you're considering. I picked probably the 4th or 5th dress she brought me (Maggie Sottero - Ambrosia).I didn't purchase a dress during that appointment because I had another dress appointment later that day in Miami, but that second appointment was a DISASTER. The woman shoved me into a tiny little dressing room (wedding dresses are BIG... you need big dressing rooms) that had a vacuum and other random cleaning supplies in it and pulled the dress over me while I was still wearing my jeans. The lighting was horrible, I swear the air conditioning was broken and the dress I left without a beautiful dress because the experience was THAT bad. My point in giving these details are as a point of comparison for Patricia South's Bridal. Stacey gave us a tour, offered us something to drink, talked to me about my engagement and future husband, offered advice on dresses, let me try on veils and jewelry to give me the full look of being a bride and more. Anyway, after the bad appointment in Miami, we called Patricia South's and asked if Stacey could squeeze me in to try on one last time the dress I was going to buy. She squeezed us in, I tried on the dress and bought it. We also bought my veil here. The alterations department was great, too. Very experienced and knowledgeable. They took in my dress a little and did a really nice bustle on a very large train. :)We also got a discount on the dress (15 percent, I think) if we ordered six tuxes from their tux shop, PLUS we'd get the groom's tux for free. We definitely took advantage of this. The tux shop was great, too. Very professional and helpful, from what my husband told me.

We had an amazing experience at Patricia’s and I felt like the ladies were family by the time we were finished! I miss going there and cannot wait to go back show them our pictures. Firstly, my dress was gorgeous and everyone from age 12 to 91 was raving about my gown! The dress we ordered was the same size 6 as the sample, however, when my gown came in it was so tight, I got a cramp in my ribcage! I freaked out and cried when I got home. Finally I called the store and spoke directly with Patricia (my consultant who sold me the dress was no longer there). Patricia assured me that she would make sure we could either alter the dress or she would order me another dress – but no matter what, I would be able to breathe on my wedding day! I felt so much better!I was then in the hands of Norma in alterations. Norma not only let out my dress just the perfect amount, she customized my train from a normal flat/regular length train to a modified tea-length bubble train. My dress (a gold/champaign Enzoani Berlin) was an asymmetrical modified mermaid style gown and it was really difficult to bustle and Norma spent so much time trying different ways and working to making it absolutely stunning! As I saw in some of the reviews – no, her English isn’t perfect, but neither is my Spanish and we did absolutely fine. She and her colleagues communicated perfect kindness and conscientiousness – plus it takes no language to see that a dress is gorgeous after they work their magic! We also got our tuxes from Patricia’s and they were perfect! I was able to match my husband’s vest to my very unusual gold/champaign colored dress, which was very convenient, and we saved a bundle compared to other tux rental places. Moreover, they referred us to a great limo guy who was also very reasonable and made all of our stops on perfect time.Patricia’s was not only like family, assured me when I was worried and worked beautiful alterations magic, they are a wonderfully convenient, high-class, one-stop shop.

My experience with Patricia's was perfect. Elizabeth was my consultant and she was just as sweet and helpful as she could be. In fact, the dress that I ended up buying was one that she told me to try on but I didn't even like it on the hanger! She knows her stuff and she knows what looks good on different body types. The whole experience was great. The alterations were perfect and on time and I had no problems at all. They have tons of dresses to try on so I would recommend it to any bride.

Patricia south Bridal store was absolutely wonderful!!! They did such a amazing thing by letting unemployed brides come to their store and get a free dress. I found the most beautiful dress and I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much for making my day so special :)

I worked with April at Patricia South after shopping in DC, VA and all around Ft. Lauderdale - my dress was the third one I tried on at Patricia South's and it was the first time I felt like a bride. April found just the RIGHT one. My dress was the Milana by Maggie Sottero, and it was beautiful. I will say that I was so pleased with their service - I thought the dress was well priced in the store, but when I found it for less they were very happy to adjust to the lower price. I received so many compliments on that dress, along the lines of that is the most gorgeous wedding dress I have ever seen - and I have Patricia South's team and April to thank!

Three years before I got married, my sister and I went ALL over Fort Lauderdale to find her wedding dress. She must have tried on 50+ dresses before we went to Patricia's and found hers. So when it was my turn, I went to Patricia's first and I am SO glad that I did! I made an appointment (which is a MUST) and had my own personal consultant for a couple of hours. She actually found my dress for me... I would not have picked it for myself, but when I put it on, I knew it was the one. I later went back (twice) when she was not available to pick out a veil and both times one of the other consultants pulled my dress for me and let me try it on so that I could try on headpieces. You may spend a little bit more here than some other stores, but it's worth it for the personalized service and their level of knowledge. They also have suit rentals, which we took advantage of, because if you get both your dress and the suits there, you get a discount. The suit selection there was much nicer than what we found anywhere else. I tell any bride I know to make sure and go to Patricia's first!

Patricia South's was wonderful to work with. I ordered my dress in April for my November wedding. My dress came in August, but it was the wrong dress. Patricia South's was so helping and getting the correct dress in for me in a very little amount of time.

Highly Recommended. My personal bridal dress attended was wonderful. She was friendly, and listen to what I was looking for. She did such a good job that I bought the first dress I tried on! (I tried on several, but she hit the nail on the head the first time around). Alterations people were very friendly, and did a great job.

I found my perfect dress here and I loved it! Deb was my sales person and she was great. Marta was the sweetest lady in the world! She helped me with my alterations and she did an amaizing job! THANK YOU!

Picking out the actual dress was a great experience! The consultant that worked with me actually picked a dress I never would have picked myself and it was perfect! And she was so great working with me when I ordered it, even matching a lower price I found at another store. The alterations was where I was a little disappointed. Not because they did a bad job on the actual alterations - they actually did terrific! I lost 30 lbs after I bought my dress and she was able to take it in so well you wouldn't have known it was falling off before. My issue was more that once I bought the dress, the service wasn't so great. I eventually called because I thought my dress should be there at that point, and they said it had been there for a month already. Supposedly someone called me but I never got a missed call or voicemail and after a month, nobody cared to try again. I had to call. Also, when scheduling a time to come in for alterations, they were not flexible AT ALL. I work during the day and the weekends are best for me, but they want to save the weekends for those buying dresses, not those who have already bought one. I understand that they want to give good service to those they are trying to convince to buy a dress, but I already spent a lot of money and should be able to come in at a convenient time and get good service and not feel like they are shuffling me out of the way because I am no longer a valued customer once they've already gotten my business. Instead I had to rearrange my work schedule. Not great.

I've shopped at so many bridal boutiques in South Florida and was so disappointed with the customer service and how we were treated until we stopped at Patricia South's Bridal. My bridal consultant Deb made me feel like a princess! The whole staff was very friendly and helpful! My mom and I thought we would never have that perfect bridal experience that you always dream of but everyone at Patricia South's made sure that was exactly the experience we got!!!!! We found the PERFECT gown our first visit and also found dresses for my bridesmaids and my mom! Their seamstresses were so amazing and made my gown fit like a glove =-) I recommend that every bride buy their gown from Patricia South's Bridal!!!

I purchased my wedding gown and veil from Patricia's. The staff for the women's section is very helpful and I would highly recommend them for this. Although, to hem my dress in one section was $100 and my bustle was $100, which they did my bustle inside out and I did not discover this until the day of my wedding. No one explained the bustle to me when I picked my dress up and they gave me a hard time when I requested a refund. We also used the men's section for the tuxedos and I would highly recommend going somewhere else. They messed up all the sizes and it was a huge headache for us and our bridal party.

Deborah was my bridal consultant when I went to try on dresses there. She was very friendly and helpful. I ended up purchasing my bridal dress, veil, alterations, bridemaids dresses and tuxedos through Patricia South's. The guys in the tux shop are great and very personable. They shipped the bridesmaids dresses directly to my girls, as they were all from out of state. I did not need any alterations, just a design change to the neck line of my dress and a bustle. The price of alterations was half of what I had budgeted for, which was great! The ladies in the alterations department were so kind and did a great job. I have no complaints and had a great experience. Side note: they are every busy on Saturdays and it can get crazy in there. I would recommend making a week day appointment if you want to try on dresses. It was very quiet there when I went on a Wednesday afternoon. I was the only one trying on dresses, so it was private and a peaceful experience. The dresses there are affordable too!

I love my dress. It is true what they say, when you try on the wedding dress and it is the one, you just know it. Everyone loved my gown as much as me. It made me feel like a true queen. I love my gown. I wish my wedding day would not have gone so fast. I didn't want to take it off. Thanks Sandra and Sean.

I wandered on on a busy saturday at the suggestion of a friend. I didn't actually expect to buy a dress, i wanted to make one. I am very picky about clothing and was disappointed with everything I had seen previously. I only went in bc a friend said it would be a nice place for my mom to watch me try on dresses. They were nice and accommodating that first day. I found the dress I was dreaming of making and just had to buy it. It was one of their own line. The construction was flawless. It was so beautifully made. I had nothing to complain about with the dress. The service for my fittings wasn't as nice as that first day. It was kind of obvious that they had already made the sale and were not paying much attention to me, even though I made appointments. The seamstress did a great job with my bustle, but did not speak english and could not understand some very simple requests. I ended up having to undo the nice wrapping and re-sew the snaps and other things the had promised she had taken care of. Don't let them tell you not to undo it until your wedding day! Make sure the small details are in place.Luckily my sister, grandmother and I all love to sew and we had my dress looking perfect. The dress itself was awesome. There was very little that needed to be done. I was happy with my choice and would recommend them to other brides. But if you know a good seamstress, you may want to take the dress there instead.

Although I loved my dress and my bridesmaids dresses that we purchased through Patricia's, the service is not ideal. I felt like I didn't have a contact person to speak with about my orders and kept having to repeat myself to many of the consultants. They ordered the wrong bridesmaids dresses at first and this was a big challenge. They did, however, correct the error and we received the dresses with enough time for everything to work out. My dress was beautiful and the seamstresses there are fantastic! I am also grateful to the gentleman who helped us with the groomsmen's tuxes - he was very helpful and ensured the groomsmen looked their best. The quality of their clothing is good, but their service for a bride needs improvement.
GUEST

My dress was gorgeous and very well priced. However, the fittings were a nightmare. Buy the dress there and get it fitted somewhere else
GUEST

they have beautiful dresses...but the alterations were poorly constructed, the bridesmaid dresses and the wedding dress took extremely long; leaving us no choice but to do alterations last minute (2 days before the wedding!!) and the wrong dress was ordered for one of my bridesmaids last minute!!
GUEST

I found the dress I loved, even though it was a bit more expensive than I'd hoped to spend. I worked with one seamstress on the bustle, but when I picked it up, it was sewn entirely differently. The bustle was not at all what I had hoped/planned. Then, after about 15 minutes of wearing the bustle up, it broke and I was forced to drag my train around behind me for the rest of the reception. I was not pleased with this, and when I tried to call the store to discuss my disappointment, no one ever got back to me, even with repeated calls.

I would first like to applaud Patricia South for providing beautiful dresses and tuxes. My wedding dress was awesome and my wedding party was a sight to behold on the wedding day! I have no problem praising them for their product. Unfortunately, after spending thousands of dollars in their store, my rather large wedding party was highly displeased with this vendor. I have to let it be known that their customer service and professionalism is seriously lacking. It seemed that after the majority of the payment was made (except for alterations), the importance of proper customer service was forgotten. We experienced everything from misquoting prices, rudeness from the owner herself, inability to communicate in a timely fashion about pertinent matters, and I could just go on. As the event drew nearer, we had issues with the wrong size dress being ordered, misplacing dresses and of course more disrespect towards myself and my bridesmaids. At no time did the owner meet privately to try to smooth over their mistakes or to apologize for any misunderstandings. A feeble attempt was made by my consultant on the day that we completed all business with this organization. Since it was so late in the game, and since we had spent so much money there, we had no choice but to endure the unprofessionalism. Thank God that the dresses and tuxes LOOKED like everything that we hoped that they would be on the day of the event. Apparently, my bridesmaids were not happy with the alterations. Too big, too small, too long, etc. Nice ladies who did them, but not well done. I would never recommend their services to anyone else, however.

I found my dress here and completely fell in love with it. However I would advise anyone to go somewhere else to get any bustle and hem work done. I had to go into the store FOUR times in order to get the bustle completed since each time I went in it looked like the seemstress did not finish her job. Also each fitting she was telling my mom a different way to bustle the dress since she would place more buttons and markings under the dress. On my fourth return to the store the seemstress did NOT want me to try on the dress again since it was already steemed and ironed. She guarannteed that the bustle was complete. I looked at it and found a rip and so many extra buttons and pins! End result was that my mom had to place a few safety pens to complete the bustle which came undone a couple of times during the reception. I went in to complain a few days after the wedding since they also gave my dad the wrong color tux but it was too late when I noticed he was given the same color as the groomsmen and not the traditional black vest/tie. The owner was completely rude to my father, husband, and myself. Claiming that we didn't know to correctly bustle the dress and completely ignored the wrong tux color issue. The customer service was just unprofessional. This place does have amazing dresses but PLEASE go somewhere else if you need a bustle done!
GUEST

Please do not make the same mistake that I did and get your dress from patricia's. Although the dresses are beautiful it is not worth dealing with alternation at this store. The staff is rude and you will need to go in multiple times. Even with mymultiple fittings my bussel came undone and I was tripping over my dress all night!
