They are pretty expensive for being in a small town. They are very proud of their work though! I've seen some good stuff but just because you see something you like that they've already done, don't expect them to duplicate it. You'll do best if you have an imagination. I can't imagine there is anything they can't do! They will definitely make you a cake you'll never forget (or your guests)!!

By far the best wedding cakes in St. Louis. Gotta love them they treat you like family.

Well the cake was beautiful and delicious, but man were they difficult to work with. I knew what I wanted for the cake going in to our consultation because I had pulled pictures off of their own website. I was really disappointed when they acted like they had never seen those cakes before. She kept going to the back to ask if they could even do it. The week before the wedding we received our confirmation call to finalize everything. This call was absolutely insulting. They pretty much told us how busy they were on that day and that our wedding was just messing with the route that they had planned. Bad customer service!!

Patty is amazing!! I had heard so many good things about her, plus I went to school with her daughter, so I checked her out. As I was explaining what I wanted she was showing me how it would look. She liked my idea and gave me suggestions. She was reasonably priced for the size and detail of my cakes. I had a 4 layer with fresh raspberries and blackberries, and it was gorgeous. Several people even asked me if it was a prop for pictures!! Everyone had fun picking off the fruit to nibble! Ultimately every single person in attendance LOVED my cake and commented on it! I even got comments on my wedding video! Lol

The cake was the best I have ever seen, everyone thought it was fake because it looked so awesome! The taste was even better! It was wonderful!!! I loved everything about my cake and would recommend them to anyone!
Thanks for a beautiful cake that was really sad to cut into!!

They have an amazing selection and delicious flavors. They are creative and willing to go along with new ideas, I had several unconventional requests, 100 filled cupcakes in 4 different flavors. They have great ideas of their own and are supportive of input. They are kind and enthusiastic people to work with. They had much more reasonable prices for comparable groom and bride cakes. I was not close to their location but they were very nice about getting me an appointment when I was in town. I definitely recommend them for the creative sweet tooth!

Patty Cakes was a great option for my wedding. After cake tasting and selecting the design of the cake I never even had to think about the cake again. The cake was set-up at the reception well ahead of schedule and looked flawless. It also tasted great!

We got our wedding cake from Patty-Cakes and it was amazing to say the least!!
We had tasting at 6 different places in the St. Louis area, and they are by far the most professional. The shop is clean, the staff is dressed professionally with chefs uniforms, and the service is great! From the minute you walk in the door to taste, until your cake is delivered, it is like you are the only one they are working for! The prices are the best in the area! We LOVED our cake, and will never go anywhere else! Most of our friends have gotten their cakes at Patty-Cakes, and everyone has been more than pleased!!

My cake was exactly what I wanted but at the same time I let their expertise told charge and the cake came out better than I ever expected! A little pricey but worth it!

Patty Cakes is a great place to buy your cake. We looked around for prices and taste; we selected Patty Cakes because of the value. They worked with us and designed a cake that was beautiful. A number of our guest commented on how wonderful the cake tasted. We had some leftovers so I put it in the freezer the day after the wedding. I have tasted it even after it has been in the freezer for a week and it is still good. We have packed away the top layer for our 1 year anniversary...well see how it tastes then :)

After looking through the cakes that Patty Cakes had previously done, I was certain they would do a great job for my wedding. We wanted a very simple recreation of a Martha Stewart cake. It was a simple cake – 3 tiers of square cakes with the corners cut off, a simple monogram and a fresh flower bouquet with a satin ribbon cascading down the side of the cake. Unfortunately, Pat – the owner, was not overseeing our cake. She was out of town. The icing was crusty, the flavor selections we had made and paid for, were incorrect. The fillings we paid for were completely missing. It was very disappointing that there were so many problems with such a simple cake. The cake was fine, but it was not nearly as delicious as we had expected. We had tasted the cakes, and they were delicious, but without the fillings, they were dry and disappointing. I believe if the owner had been overseeing our cake, it would have been much nicer than what we ended up with.

I had heard good things about Patty Cakes from friends and family, and I was expecting a great cake. I found my dream cake on Martha Stewart's website, and printed pictures. It was a very simple cake - three layers, all white. The beauty of the cake was the flowers that would be on top, but that would be taken care of by the florist. There were no intricate details at all. We purchased three small sample cakes and were impressed by the flavors. We decided each layer would be a different flavor with a different filling. We met on three separate occasions to discuss the cake, and it seemed that all would go according to plan. I cannot even explain how disappointed I was when I saw my cake. It looked amateur, the icing was crusty and when it was sliced we found out that none of the fillings that we had paid for were included. I could not believe that this was the cake we had previously discussed. Afterward, we found out that the owner was out of town, and someone else was left in charge of the cake, and apparently they were not well prepped on what to do. We were disappointed that we were not told the owner would not be doing the cake, as we were led to believe she would be making the cake for the wedding. They were easy to book, however, when we met with them they always appeared to be distracted and uninterested. They did give us a small refund for not including the fillings, but it in no way made up for the appearance of the cake. Patty Cakes was affordable, but I am not impressed by their service or the final product.
Vendor response to review
I was disappointed to read that even after talking to me on the phone, you didn't believe that your cake WAS indeed decorated by "the owner". There was not another decorator employed here until my daughter joined me in Feb. 2008. I decorated and delivered 9 other wedding cakes on that day like I have done every week for the past 27 years, and have the pictures to prove it!
Unfortunately, against our advice, you choose to make the pattern on the cake differently that we suggested. I tried to explain to you that the fillings were indeed in the cake, but because of the numerous changes you made, you must have forgotten where they were supposed to be. You were given a small compensation because we do believe in trying our best to do all we can to keep our customers happy. We keep a detailed order, and each cake is checked 3 times by three different bakers before the cake is put on the decorating table.
As for being distracted and uninterested, nothing could be further from the truth. I think because you were displeased with the design that you insisted on, and you were so sure that "the owner" didn't do your cake, you just found anything you could to be displeased. Our customer service is impecable, and each and every bride is extremely important to us!

Our cake was AMAZING!! It literally, was a castle, as Cinderella was the theme of the wedding. Patty did an unbelievable job...it was like nothing I had ever seen in my life! Also, her cake tasted SO good and she has SO many flavors and fillings to choose from. It was fabulous. People are STILL talking about the cake!

Absolutely amazing! These cakes aren't like any you have ever seen before! They're absolutely GORGEOUS!

Patty and her crew are amazing! Very flexible with how I wanted the cake to look, and very helpful with the advice on how to make it different from the picture in the magazine. On the day of the wedding, they delivered the cake and realized that I didn't order any flowers for the cake to be decorated with, but no problem...they had some spare fresh flowers and baby's breath from another wedding cake, and they decorated it beautifully! Would always recommend.
Their cakes are not only original, beautiful works of art but taste great as well.
