The Connecticut Wedding Group was amazing! Mary-Beth was available for me to talk to at any time to answer my questions and give me tips. A few days before our wedding we dropped off all of the items we wanted to be set up and when we arrive the day of everything was perfect. They referred the DJ (Harry Gambordella) and the Justice of the Peace (Darlene Rice) who were also awesome to work with. The food and drinks provided were great and my guests could not stop saying how wonderful the wedding was! I appreciate all of the work that went into the set up of the reception and ceremony. The bartenders and servers also did a wonderful job in keeping our guest happy! Thanks again for all of the hard work put in to make our wedding a success.

I will not be able to put in to words how amazing the people, the venue itself, and the food were that we experienced at Pavillion on Crystal Lake. Guests continue to comment on how impressed they were with the staff and the compliments on the food just keep coming! We have been told more than once by our guests that our wedding had the best food they have ever eaten at a wedding- and we agree! The staff were so organized and so kind to us throughout the entire process. I keep trying to come up with a way to have another event there!

My husband and I were recently married at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. We worked closely with Mary-Beth who was truly a gift sent from above - she always quickly answered our questions, anticipated our needs, and made sure that our wedding day was true perfection. The rest of the staff was also amazing ... we have never experienced a nicer set of individuals so in tune to their guests' needs. The venue, of course, is to die for ... amazingly beautiful both inside and out. It was everything we wanted, aesthetically, and the amazing service (and food - YUM!) really amazed us, and it amazed our guests too! We couldn't have imagined getting married anywhere else and we will always be incredibly thankful for CT Wedding Group. They RULE!

love love LOVE the CT wedding group and the pavilion on crystal lake! everyone that works for them is very friendly and really helpful. they gave me everything i wanted and then some. the food was amazing and the portions were huge no one left hungry! the lake was a beautiful backdrop for our pictures. the dance floor and set up of the whole place is great for any event. i wouldnt have wanted my wedding any other place or changed a thing.

The venue is spectacular and the staff was incredibly organized and professional. Traci was exceptional and helped to make sure that every detail was covered. The food was excellent as well.

Traci is awesome!! The staff were great. We had many, many,many positive compliments on the food and the attentiveness of the staff from our guests. We had the same experience from the server that handled our table as well... I would recommend them in a heartbeat!!!

Traci was very accomodating and answered all of our many questions fast and timely. She definately made it seem that no matter what we asked or needed, it could be done, or would be accomodated!!

The Pavilion on Crystal Lake is a wonderful place to have a wedding. We had our ceremony at the gazebo and our reception there. The CT Wedding Group was wonderful to work with. They went out of their way to make sure our day was special. They treated us like family. They made the process very easy. The food was wonderful; they offer a wide variety of choices. The grounds are great for picture-taking. The beach and water are great for posing for photos. The inside of the reception hall was tastefully decorated and made our wedding feel cozy. We dropped off our flowers and centerpieces and they set everything up for us perfectly. They were always there to answer any questions we may have had and always got back to us promptly.

The Barns at Wesleyan Hills through Pavillion Catering helped me create my DREAM wedding. While aiding with everything we needed, they also allowed great flexibility with our decorators and our individual ideas and needs. Everything we wanted, we got. From the first meeting we had (with the fabulous Traci Maune), we fell in love with the venue and people. Our event staff could NOT have been better! The wait staff, hostesses, caterers, bartenders, and our event planner (Maribeth, an absolute gem) made our day even more special and all our guests commented on their kindness and willingness to go "above and beyond" to make our wedding spectacular. People are referring to our wedding as "the best they've ever been to", and I can only attribute this to the staff at Pavilion. Thank you!!!!

We could not have asked for a better group of people and place to have our wedding. We chose the Pavilion at Crystal Lake for our ceremony and reception site. Every single one of our guests commented on how beautiful the place was, how great the food was, and how nice all the servers and staff were! We got the best coordinator out of everyone, without Mary Beth I would have had a meltdown, she went way above and beyond what we could have asked for!!!!! We loved the the wedding group only does 1 wedding per time slot so that there is someone there at all times to make sure everything you need is taken care of!! This was the first place we looked at and when my husband and I got out of the car we looked at one another and said this is it before we found out any other information! It was in the middle tier price range, but you get so much more then what you spend!! The CT Wedding Group does and amazing job at making it all about the bride and groom and ensuring the guests are all taken care of!! We loved it here so much!!!

We had our wedding at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills. This venue was great. The food was really good and there were many options available to us in terms of menus, dessert options and extras. Regarding the Barns, you can pick a 6hr block to whatever fits your wedding time needs. You are also the only wedding that day which I found to be a huge draw. The staff was responsive and helpful up to and on the day of. The Barns looked amazing with lighting and lanterns and you have the option to decorate yourself or use their services. The Barns are becoming more and more popular b/c they offer a great price, we had to wait 18 months for our date, but it was worth it. it just depends on what you prefer (we wanted a Saturday in warm weather, hence the wait). If you are looking for a rustic venue, but still want the amenities of a traditional hall with catering and great service, this is the venue for you. Our friends still talk about how awesome our wedding was :) Also the venue is close to downtown Middletown and refers vendors super close to the place which makes it easy. We had a lot of out of towners and were able to accommodate them easily in middletown.

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! After our original venue in Maryland shut down, we decided to look a little closer to us rather than to our families. I emailed Jonathan at 10pm the night before I was hoping to view the Barns at Wesleyan Hills. At 10:15pm, he responded and made time for us to view the venue with hardly any notice. We booked the venue that week, and between Jonathan, Traci, Mary, & Angie, the rapid email response time continued throughout our 8 months of working with them.

We worked most closely with Traci, who was an absolute DREAM. She took the stress out of wedding planning and made sure that every detail of our day was EXACTLY what we wanted. Her professionalism, creativity, and passion for her work are unmatched. Traci is pure sweetness & light, and I miss her.

I must admit, I was a little hesitant about the wedding food since we were not able to sample everything on the menu. We were able to taste a portion of the food during CT Wedding Group's annual Bridal & Culinary showcase in January (which was wonderful!!!). 99% of what we tasted was DELICIOUS. So with that in mind, we made our cocktail hour and dinner choices for the wedding. We were NOT disappointed. Everyone raved about the food! "The best food I've had at a wedding" was a common phrase we heard among our guests. The Mashed Potato bar was the hit of the night!!

CT Wedding Group was a dream come true! I almost want to plan another wedding, just to work with them again.

Traci and the team at the Connecticut Wedding Group made our wedding absolutely FANTASTIC! Without them our day wouldn't have been the best ever! We got married at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills and from the moment that we arrived until the moment that we left our reception we were pampered. CT Wedding Group is somewhat pricey, yet their food is amaaaazing! I'm still getting compliments, weeks after our wedding!

I was very displeased with The Pavilion On Crystal Lake... Yes it is a beautiful place to have your wedding, yes the food is great and actually the service was great THE DAY OF. Leading up to it was horrible! The staff only care about ONE THING MONEY! We spent a large amount of money at this venue! We had verbal agreements with the staff that were later taken back and I was supposed to be okay with just an apology but that they would not do anything other then say sorry. I fought for them to do something which in the end was minimal compared to what we put into it. They charge a ridiculous amount of money for little things. The option they offered us when we first started was a new thing they were starting which was being able to pick any 6.5 hours of service at the venue, therefore we would have the whole day and there would not be multiple weddings on our day. We choose to do it that way as we liked knowing we had ALL day to have our decorators be there etc. Well that was our mistake, do not ever pick this package if they offer it to you! You are obligated to have 125 guests and even if you dont you have to pay for them! They will not let you use your money else where at the venue such as chair covers even if they tell you that you can. The Pavilion almost ruined my day but luckily I had an amazing wedding coordinator Taryn from Simple Elegance! They told me because I did not have 125 guests that I could use my remaining money to purchase chair covers and later came back and told me because I choose the whole day package I could not have them! This is after I ordered them and was very excited as this was not something we had in our budget to get! I spoke with the "man in charge" and even cried explaining to him that we could not out right pay for chair covers and we were already over budget so using our left over monies that was originally for guests worked out. He continued to explain to me that he just couldnt do it! I was devastated! I later emailed him because I was upset that their word had meant nothing and ended up getting something but not nearly what I wanted and not to mention I go no monies back so basically I paid for it in the end result! He advised me NOT to use my wedding coordinator which I paid for to keep in contact with him... They also never told us there was "special" prices for the vendors (mind you I had 10 that I paid FULL price for) until the last minute. Our last meeting myself and my wedding coordinator were told we could bring anything that was going to the venue that night... Well both of us left directly from work therefore them telling us that the SAME day did us no good and actually made more work for my wedding coordinator. And this "Whole day" package they offer... Well lets just say its not a whole day.. After finding out I wasnt getting their chair covers my wedding coordinator found chair covers at a reasonable cost and we used those. This would now mean she need to cover 125 chairs... She asked to get in there early and that was an issue.. Now if you are following this correctly we had the WHOLE DAY WITH THIS SPECIAL PACKAGE WITH THIS SPECIAL PRICING? Correct? Well, incorrect they let her know when they would be there which was NOT all day nor would they allow her to get there and set up too early.

The positives: Good food and Meghan was awesome! I was glad to have gotten her on the day of our wedding! The place always looks nice in and outside. The customer service could use A LOT of help! This is such a special day for people and if you give YOUR word regardless of anything else YOU should keep it! Who wants to be told they cant have something they had their hearts set on, especially after guaranteeing they could have it? The Pavilion on Crystal Lake is already making mucho dollars it wouldnt have killed them to keep their word with me and provide me with the chair covers. If you use them and you are on a budget expect to go over and dont expect much nothing but big prices for little things.. And for the little thing I did get it was like pulling teeth!

Just be careful when using them!

From the first time we walked into the Barns @ Wesleyan Hills we knew that this was the perfect place for us. We had our ceremony right on site with the lake and the willow trees as a perfect back drop. The barn is amazing!!!! Tracy and Jonathon did everything they could to make our day just perfect... The food was amazing, not one guest complained about anything!!! They are still talking about how wonderful a wedding it was

We got married at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills in July. I loved the venue and it all turned out amazing. However, there were a few bumps along the way. I had a few issues with getting the correct linen samples and geting the right answer on what colors were and were not available. I also had a hard time getting answers on things and had to send multiple emails at times to get an answer. They do now seem to have set prices on all their linens, chairs, decor, etc, so it should be easier to get these costs nailed down.

The day of the wedding, I couldn't have asked for a more attentive staff or better food. They were on top of everything, extremely nice and very well organized. They kept the reception moving along very well and were quite helpful. The food was above and beyond my expectations. Lastly, Jonathan really helped me out at the end. My florist told me at the last minute that she wasn't responsible for taking down the decor (lighting and lanterns) so Jonathan helped me out and his staff did it for me for free. He really came through on that end and I could tell he just wanted to make sure the day was the best it could have been. I would definitely recommend the CT Wedding Group as well as the Barns venue.

The Barns at Wesleyan Hills was a beautiful site for our wedding. The food was delicious - we received so many complements from our guests. They were very helpful in the planning phase as well. The only frustrating aspect (that I'm sure is consistent among all venues) is that anything extra or out of the ordinary that you want at your wedding will cost you an extra fee.

Food was excellent! Service was excellent! The Venue is AMAZING!! We were married 8/15/09 at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills - It is a beautiful location - and could not have been more perfect! Our guests are still talking about how gourgeous the grounds and barn were - and how it was so different than any other place! Would not have changed a single thing about Pavilion s Services!!!

The bridal show held here was extremely helpful! Shared which vendors they work with! Not only was I able to bring my husband to the 1st one, but I was able to bring an old school Italian Mother who cooks to the 2nd where I could have her try the food, see if it passed the mustard, and help me pick out what she liked best for our menu!! Six stars for the catering-- that says it all! Go to one of their bridal shows if you don’t believe me!

We had both our ceremony and reception at this site. Jonathan has to be one of the most special people to work with! We were extremely pleased with all services performed by this vendor.

This was a great location for a wedding. It had a site for an outside ceremony and they did not charge extra for it at the time. It has an outdoors feel to it and beautiful scenery for pictures. Make it a one stop shop! Also big dance floor and a great deck! The food was amazing, and the staff seemed friendly.
