We had a BEAUTIFUL wedding at the Payne-Corley house! The venue is phenomenal and we had guests complimenting us on our choice. We would definitely choose this one again. The staff is excellent and extremely accomodating. The food is 5-star. We were able to decide with about 2-hours notice whether we wanted to do it inside or out (we chose outside even though we'd been thinking it would have to be inside because it was cool) and the staff were more than willing to do whatever we wanted. They even moved some of our "inside" flower arrangements outside on pillars that made the gazebo beautiful. I highly recommend their preferred vendors as well. Janet Hall, our coordinator, was wonderful to work with and everything went off without a hitch. The only thing worth a comment is that they did change one side dish of our strolling reception that we weren't made aware of, but all the food was so good, it really didn't matter. The tasting prior to the wedding was a nice touch as well. Thanks, P-C staff for all your work--our day was perfect!

Payne-Corley House was one of the first venues that I visited in my search for the perfect setting for our wedding. Ultimately, I called and visited at least a dozen other venues and PCH set the standard high and no other venue to was able match their warmth, beauty, services, and value. Hope and Chef Michael worked with us to create the menu of my dreams. The entire staff is warm, welcoming and was always willing to bend over backwards for us during every step of the process. Their vendor recommendations were spot on for me, my tastes, and my budget. Our event specialist, Lori-Ann, felt like more of a dear friend than an event coordinator. On the day of my wedding, I was able to relax, enjoy, and know that every detail was being attended to by PCH's amazing staff.

I admit that I was a very high maintenance bride with a lot of out-of-the-ordinary requests and unique desires. Hope, Krista, Chef Michael, and Lori-Ann all handled me with care (when needed) and went above and beyond to make my expectations become reality. It's been over 2 months since the wedding and people are still talking about the exquisite beauty, food, and service at Payne-Corley House!

My wedding was amazing. And the staff at the Payne-Corley House ensured that it was possible. The food was great. The staff was kind and helpful. And my personal event coordinator Krista was very accommodating and kind.

The Payne Corley was the most wonderful venue we looked at, and now that we've gotten married, it's the only one I would recommend. The staff there are wonderful to work with...they are incredibly accommodating and do everything the can to please and work with you. You get personalized meetings with your wedding coordinator who helps plan every detail. They also have tasting events throughout the year, so we were able to request the foods we wanted...and everything was delicious! The main room of the House is gorgeous, with beautiful round tables and candelabras. There's a beautiful fireplace and small alcove for your band/cake display. There are also several other rooms, including a porch, so there are many place for people the mingle...in other words, can easily accommodate a large group. The day of the wedding, we had a waitress who was assigned just to us, which was a lifesaver! She went and got us food and drinks, and did the same for my bridal party and family as well. At the end of the night, they also give the B&G a to-go box of leftovers **Note here: Unless the B&G are starving, I would give this to-go box to a family member if there's going to be a large crowd hanging out somewhere, because they gave us everything leftover! We had to leave it all, uneaten, at the hotel. I can't say enough good things about how beautiful it was on our big day, how polite, welcoming, and warm the staff was, or about how people have said it was the prettiest venue they've seen in a long time. I would highly highly recommend using the PC House!!

I cannot say enough good things about the Payne Corley House and its staff. This was the absolute perfect place for our wedding, and I am 100% positive that I would not have been happier at any other venue.
The house and grounds itself is amazing, but what really topped it off was the wonderful staff. Every one of my requests was accommodated without hesitation. The wedding day flowed more smoothly that I could have ever imagined. I worked with my coordinator closely in the weeks before the wedding to let her know the certain details that would need to be taken care of on the day of the wedding. There was not one detail that was overlooked. And even things that I had not thought of were taken care of. I truly did not have a care in the world on my wedding day. It was more that perfect.
If you have the opportunity to have your wedding at the Payne Corley House, do it! You won't be...

We are so glad we had our wedding at the Payne-Corley House. The ceremony outside in front of the gazebo was beautiful with all the fall colors surrounding us. The reception was spectacular as well inside the main house. Everyone loved the delicious food and we even got to enjoy our own dinner afterwards with our to-go boxes. I wouldn't change our venue for anything in the world!

The Payne Corley House is an amazing venue!! From the staff to the food to the atmosphere the venue gives off, I could not have asked for a more perfect evening. From the first moment I walked in, I knew this is where I wanted my wedding to take place. You get a wedding coordinator when you book the venue to help you out and they will do absolutely anything that you want to do (as long as it is legal :-p). We had our ceremony outside at the beautiful pavilion and our reception was originally planned to take place outside the beautiful house that was built back in 1873, but when the weather started turning cold we changed our plans (the week before the wedding) and the staff could not have been more accommodating. The food is absolutely amazing as well!! They have their own personal chef who creates all their meals and it is unbeatable.

The one thing my husband asked for when we were planning our wedding is for a live band at the reception. I was extremely skeptical about the whole idea but we did the research and we found Band of Gold. I never would have thought that having a live band at our wedding would make that night so much fun for all of our guests. Their playlist is extensive, they sound great, and they really get into the music and get the guests out and dancing. Kris Bayne is in charge of the band and I highly recommend talking to him!! Payne Corley had no problems accomodating out band. His wife, Terrilyn, is in charge of Orpheus and Aphrodite Photography. She took all of our professional pictures and they are breath-taking. All brides want to not only look beautiful on their wedding day, but want to have gorgeous pics to remind them of that day in years to come. Terrilyn did not disappoint. Her pictures are better than anything I could have imagined!!

Every bride wants to have a perfect wedding, and I am one of the lucky ones that can say I did!!

My daughter's priority was a beautiful site for her outdoor wedding. Many venues we visited had gorgeous areas, they just felt very cramped. The P-C House has a lovely gazebo surrounded by trees and a rolling lawn in front of the house. It has a picturesque tree with many branches perfect for fun, romantic photos. And of course there are their signature RR tracks. Lori-Ann helped us with our contract and she was wonderful. When told she would not be coordinating our wedding we were sad, but then we met Krista. She marshaled groundsmen, waiters, chefs and produced the perfect wedding for my daughter and son-in-law. The outdoor ceremony site was magical with fairy lights. The indoor ballroom breathtaking with plenty of room for our band and dancing for 130 guests. The food was scrumptious. The wait-staff efficient and attentive. Even after 3 months our family and friends reminisce about the wedding declaring it was the best they've attended. Most of the credit goes to Krista and the staff of the P-C House.

What can I say about the fairytale wedding that we had at the Payne Corley House. From the first moment that I spoke to Hope, till we were given Janet, the most wonderful wedding coordinator there has ever been, to the start of the day, from the STAFF: AMAZING, FOOD: TO DIE FOR, thank you Michael! Janet took care of the kids from the moment they arrived, till shipping them off with more food than they could have ate in a week! None of us can even get back to work. Too busy talking about the amazing day!!!! I can tell you that it was more than Samantha and Matthew could have ever dreamed of. A review from the Bride: I can honestly say that my wedding day was the best day of my life. I had THE BEST TIME. I got married at the Payne-Corley House on August 12, 2011 and if I could do it all over I truly wouldn't change a thing. Janet was my wedding coordinator who truly went above and beyone to provide for my needs. She became like a second mom to me during the wedding. The weeks following up to to the wedding, I thought of a few questions I had early one sunday morning. I sent her text and she was so quick to respond. If there was something she wasn't sure of, she'd be quick to find out and let me know. THe owners/chef of Payne-Corley House, as well as Hope were also so awesome. They were so so flexible with us. Becuase of the hot weather, we decided to have the ceremony inside and then have the room re-arranged for the ceremony, and the way it worked out, one would think we got married in two seperate rooms. It was so perfect. When I was in the bridal room with my bridesmaids waiting for the ceremony to begin, there were things that I thought of that I needed from my dad, or others downstairs, but I didn't want myself or my bridesmaids to be seen by anyone before the wedding began, and Janet was so quick to do whatever I needed, or go grab a faimly member or friend that we wanted to come up to the bridemaids room. You also hear of people who say they didn't even get to eat at their wedding, and although my husband and I have no idea what the food layout looked like (because Janet got our plates for us!) we both got FULL from the AMAZING food. Not to mention we got to eat THE LEFTOVERS THEY PACKED US along with wedding cake and room service coffee in our suite at the hotel we stayed at (St. Regis, which was also AMAZING) at 3:00 am. I could seriously keep going on and on about the Payne-corley house. AND THE STAFF/servers! They were so so kind!! No kidding! If you are looking for a classy, intimate, beautiful venue, then go with the p-c house! It is so so sosososososoo worth it!!

The PC House came very highly recommended, and now I know why. Krista and the rest of the staff are so friendly, flexible, accomodating, and helpful from the moment the planning starts until even AFTER the reception ends. Every one of our guests raved about the food and the service, plus the beauty of the venue is unmatched. We felt like VIPs, but we also know our guests felt the same way.

The Payne-Corely House was everything we could have asked for on our wedding day and more! They made sure our day was perfect and just the way we wanted it. If I had to do my wedding over, I would not change a thing! The food was FABULOUS, the reception was loads of fun, and every person working the event was friendly and willing to do anything you ask. Krista and the rest of the staff were such a pleasure to work with. I absolutely LOVE the Payne-Corely house and would recommend this venue to anyone who asks.

Absolutely wonderful!! Krista and the staff here make you feel at ease and stress free!! The food is wonderful per Park Cafe and the shrimp and grits people are still talking about!

I can't even begin to express the gratitude I feel toward the staff at the Payne-Corley House. Our wedding day was PERFECT! The planning experience kept me from having any "bridezilla" moments because our coordinator was so thorough and delightful to work with. The staff at the Payne-Corley House did everything to make my day go smoothly and stress-free. From the moment I got there everything was always under control. I was able to enjoy the entire night without a single thing going wrong. We even had a personal butler who went and got us something to drink whenever we wanted something. My friends and family raved about the food and how beautiful the house is. I would not change a single thing about my wedding and none of it would have been possible if it weren't for Lori-Ann and the Payne Corley House staff.

We selected the all inclusive package since both my husband and I work. The all inclusive package included many of the services and details that would be the bride and groom responsibility and all the Payne-Corley House vendors were top of the line. we selected a buffet and the food was not the typical wedding menu. The food was 4-5 star quality restaurant food and of exceptional quality. The staff was easy to work with and extremely professional. We priced facilities on the internet before visiting the venues and the Payne Corley House was very competitively prices. It was the first and only venue visited and we booked two days after our visit. Another unique feature is a tasting event where we could sample many items from the menus and make our selection of the wedding dinner easier. Everything was outstanding and all my guests thought the food was fantastic and that it was the best wedding ever. My thanks to Krista and Michael and their staff for an unforgetable wedding.

From the moment my husband and I visited the PCH to the moment we left it on our wedding night, it was such a perfect place to host our reception. We are catholic, so our ceremony took place elsewhere, but Krista and the staff at the PCH were willing to change their usual event time schedule to accommodate our strict ceremony time. As the catering is done in house, very little coordination had to be done on my part aside from choosing from an amazing assortment of food. There are "tastings" twice a year that we took advantage of to help with the decision. I received so many compliments on the food during and after the wedding! Also, Krista made sure that my husband and I had time to eat and enjoy the food (even though were weren't hungry) before the crazy reception. My husband wanted a special kind of beer at the bar, and they made it available for us. I wanted lanterns hung in a very tall tree, and they offered to do that for us. I wanted to have a 7 piece band and they made sure to make seating arrangements so that everyone would fit quite comfortably.

If I have to think of ANY negatives, they would be: 1) The place is not super large. That was perfect for me (guest count 100 + 7 piece band), but, if you want a seat for everyone, I would estimate that 120 or so would be the maximum number of people to fit comfortably. 2) The dance floor isn't huge, but for our sized party, it made it seem more full, and we had a wonderful time! 3) While the staff was EXTREMELY helpful and flexible, getting in contact with them could sometimes be slow. By slow, I mean that it would take about a week to get an email response to a simple question. If it was important enough, I could have called and gotten an answer immediately, though; I just didn't always feel like calling was necessary. 4) It is right next to a train track, and the train passes somewhat frequently. It is strikingly loud when you are outside or when nothing is going on, but, honestly, we NEVER heard it once we were inside and the band was playing.

Other than those four very minor things, the venue is beautiful! I did most of my decor DIY, but not much was needed since the home was already so beautiful. The lawn and gazebo are perfect for pictures. We could not have chosen a better place for us. Southern, intimate, and elegant!

What can't I say about this fabulous venue, the owners and the people who work for them. This was a wonderful place for our daughter's wedding and we are still hearing from friends and relatives about what a great wedding this was. Everyone made our daughter and her husband's day...one they will never forget. The food was unbelievable...and we are still hoping to have more of the scallop "lollipops!" Krista and Mike were wonderful...things were done to perfection and we would not hesitate to recommend The Payne-Corley House to anyone!

The Payne-Corley House and the people who work there/run the venue are amazing. The owner, Krista, was especially helpful, and we had several planning meetings prior to my wedding. She was easy to contact via e-mail, and answered nearly all of my questions in a timely manner.

The venue itself is gorgeous, and everyone commented that the food they had was the best they've ever had. I wouldn't change a thing!

This was a great venue. Lori-Ann Walker and all the coordinators did a fantastic job with my wedding. The ceremony had to be moved inside at the last minute. The transition was quick and all the flowers and decorations were transferred inside. The food was incredible and the Beef Wellington was a hit as well as a few of their salads. The staff was very discrete and professional. I would recommend this venue and the services of all the staff as well. They definitely made the day go as smoothly as possible.

Our wedding turned out perfect at the Payne-Corley House! The property is beautiful, and I've been told by a number of guests that the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding! Janet was our day-of-coordinator, and she was amazing! If anything went wrong, I didn't know about it. Which is how it should be! They are pretty flexible with trying to help make your wedding how you would like it. I think it was a great value for the price we paid.

We loved the Payne-Corley House. We had to have our wedding inside,but everything was wonderful! Krista was great to work with! The food was great!

The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the tasting event they do quartly featuring all their food. The facility was clean, the service prompt and helpful. The gazibo outside is beautiful during the day and lit with tiny lights at night. The house has so much character and charm.

If we had to do our wedding all over again, we would not change a thing about it especially the venue where we held our wedding, The Payne-Corley House. When we first got engaged, my fiancé and I started the large task of hunting down the perfect ceremony and reception site. We visited about five different venues that were all large white southern plantations, but none of the venues felt like the perfect place to hold our wedding until we arrived at The Payne-Corley house. From the first moment I stepped into the house, I knew it was the only place for us. I think I was even surer about it than my wedding dress!

I am so glad that I ended up choosing the Payne-Corley House. Krista and everyone on staff made my wedding unique and absolutely perfect. Krista was able to incorporate everything that I wanted for the wedding, from having our ceremony in front of the house to allowing hanging Chinese lanterns in the trees. Michael, her husband and chef, made a delicious dinner for all our guests, and I continue to get rave reviews about the food even now, two months after we have been married.

I chose to go with the “inclusive package” that included food and beverage, DJ, a cake designer, and florist, and I am so glad I did. It made the wedding process less stressful, and For Goodness Cakes, our cake baker, and Abby’s Floral Design, our florist, incorporated everything I wanted and exceeded my expectations!

I am extremely happy that I chose The Payne-Corley house for my wedding venue. I would recommend it to any future brides, because I had the most fabulous wedding I could ever imagine. I wish I could do it all over again!

Love the Payne Corley House! The house/grounds are just beautiful and the food is absolutely amazing! As if that's not enough, the staff really goes out of their way to make the bride, guests and even the vendors happy!
