We have no doubt she is a very friendly person, passionately socialize with people, but willingness to work With us. She is a immature and lack of motivation. She would not ask where we like to take pictures, she stayed a short period, and when I asked her to take some more pictures, she said she had enough picturesalready. When I sent email to her ask if we can get all the pictures she took, she said she won't give us all, and she told us we would get a cd and revolution pictures in 4 weeks. We can not even preview and select any pictures she took for us, what heck she is her customers' boss.
We have no idea what and where the photos. Oh, What idiot are we, it will be 4 weeks till tomorrow. what rushing when you met one is unprofessional. Hope our marriage lasts when we receive our wedding ceremony photos. She is testing our marriage.
My husband just told me be patient! And silent is golden.

Laura was amazing! We flew in from Dallas to get married in New York and she coached us through the entire process! We were a little uncomfortable at first, but she was so easy to talk to during the shoots. She took AMAZING photos of us and she was very quick to give us our proofs. Plus - the little things she does makes her so great. She sent us chocolates on Christmas which was very sweet. If you are an out-of-towner like we were, she is the best photographer to get. She told us where we needed to go, what train to get on, where to catch a cab, where to stand in line, etc. It was perfect. We couldn't of been happier with our experience with Laura.

Laura was a perfect photographer for our wedding. We got married at City Hall, and she seemed to have shot a lot of weddings there--she knew the space really well, and was able to always be in the right place for a good shot, without being at all intrusive. She has a great bedside manner. Plus, the photos are great!

We hired Laura for our wedding at the NYC townhall and she also kindly acted as our witness. Laura did a great job, she is very friendly, professional and flexible. And the pictures are beautiful. We had a very enjoyable experience and we would definitely recommend her without hesitation!

We got married at the City Clerk's Office in Manhattan and hired Laura to photograph the event. Her communication leading up to the day was responsive and enthusiastic and I could tell just through email that she was the right photographer for us.

When we got to the City Clerk's Office on the morning of our wedding day, she was already there holding a spot for us in line. She knows the city hall marriage thing like the back of her hand and provided way more than photography for us by helping us through the process and providing a calming presence. We felt completely comfortable around Laura right from the start, which put us at ease and allowed us to be truly ourselves in the photos.

She even put aside her artistic integrity for a moment to photograph us in front of the fake city hall backdrop on our request for one tacky photo. :)

The teaser photos went up the next day on her blog, to the delight of our friends and family, and the disk arrived a couple of weeks after that. The photos we got out of that day were perfect - great mix of candid and posed, just the two of us, and of those who were there with us for our day. It wasn't an easy group and she managed to get beautiful shots of everyone, including a very camera-shy 7-year-old.

It was exactly what we were looking for. If we were to do it again, we'd hire Laura in a second.

I would highly recommend Pennace Photography and specifically Laura Pennace! My wedding was a bit of a headache, there were a lot of last minute changes, but Laura was wonderful! She was extremely flexible and responsive to all my needs and met my expectations completely! The day of the event, she was incredibly sweet and fun to work with and bent over backwards to be there for us. We received our disc of photos sooner than she predicted and they were absolutely gorgeous. She took great traditional group shots, as well as very artistic candid photos. I am so happy with the outcome and would recommend Laura to anyone looking for a fabulous wedding photographer at a great price!

Laura was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. She was quick to get back to me in the planning stages, very helpful with her suggestions and guidance, and she left us was a ton of really great shots. Her style was exactly what I was looking for and was really well represented in her sample work. You know exactly what you are getting when you book her services. We also had an album created and it was done really quickly with an expert layout and professional print job. All services are a great value as well!

Laura was great! Not only did the photos turn out beautiful but she basically helped guide us through the City Hall wedding system. She knew all the great spots to get the best pics and was very warm, patient and just plain awesome! Very sweet, professional and talented lady!

Laura was amazing on our special day. After we decided on getting married at the NY City Hall earlier in the year, we started looking for a photographer online. We came across Laura's photos - candid and natural looking, which was exactly what we were looking for (we didn't want anything that looked too "posey"). We reached out to her, and she has been very responsive throughout. Having photographed numerous weddings at the City Hall, she was also able to give us tips on how the whole process goes.

During the day of, Laura came on time and well-prepared. It was a very busy Friday and we ended up staying there for close to three hours instead of the intended 1.5 hour! Laura was patient and flexible, and was able to adjust her schedule and stay with us the whole time. The pictures she took turned out great - natural and fun; and we love every single one of them! An additional point to mention is that we had quite a huge group of family members present, and Laura was able to take great shots of everyone who came!

An acquaintance of mine had her engagement photos taken by Laura and they were EXCEPTIONAL. After seeing her work, I knew she had to be the one to shoot my wedding. A perfect combination of creative, genuine, and purely gorgeous. The way she captures real moments is truly an art of its own. She does all the fun traditional stuff, if that's what you're going for, but she also has her own ideas that set her apart from other photographers.

Laura shot my city hall wedding as well as my big ceremony/reception with family and friends. My expectations were sky high because I knew what greatness she was capable of and I spent 90% of my time with my nose in wedding magazines. Well, the woman did not disappoint. Not only am I thrilled with each and every photo but anyone who sees them gushes over the beauty and asks me where I found such an artist.

For both the city hall and my larger wedding, Laura came prepared to work. She was climbing on chairs, fixing my dress, snapping all kinds of unique fabulousness. And the kicker -- she's a freakin blast!! Spending all day with her, I was sad to see her leave at the end of the night.

Recently, my maid of honor surprised me with having Laura make my husband and I a wedding album for Christmas. The quality of this album stopped me in my tracks. It's like no wedding album I've seen. I am so grateful she uses her talents in such an extraordinary way.

Laura was recommended to me by another photographer, Katie Jane, for my wedding at New York City Hall, and she was fantastic from start to finish. She was very quick to respond to my many emails, which was important as I was getting married the following week. My husband and I are from England, so I had lots of questions about getting married in New York and Laura couldn't do enough to help; she even acted as our official witness on the day and was so flexible; she didnt bat an eyelid when I had to put her back an hour because I hadn't got my licence early enough the day before. I felt a little self-conscious about wearing a wedding dress and having a photographer for a wedding that consisted of just my husband and me, but it's impossible to feel uncomfortable with Laura around; she's so sweet and funny and put me completely at ease within minutes. Laura's personality really fit with ours, so our wedding was just what I wanted, a couple of hours of nothing but fun and laughing! I loved Laura's photos of us, which were a great mix of photography and art photography; exactly as I'd hoped for. Laura really is a sweetheart and I'm so grateful to her for making our wedding so special and enjoyable! I found out about the amazing Laura Pennace through family. I had looked into other photography services for the wedding, but was unable to find someone that I felt comfortable with and of course who also took awesome pictures. Laura is all that, plus more. The package we chose from her was fairly priced, and came with lots of goodies. We had the pleasure of having Laura do engagement photos as well as our wedding photos. On the day of our wedding, there was a freak snow storm in New York. Laura handled everything with ease and was able to calm my nerves about not having any photos outside (it was a blizzard!!). She came up with the excellent idea of doing a post wedding shoot, a few weeks later on a beautiful sunny day. I couldn't have been more pleased with the results! She is professional, flexible, and I felt like I have known her for years. I wish I could get married over and over again just so I can use her and her amazing talent.

I literally couldn't say enough good things about Pennace Photography. Laura is an all around great person and excellent photographer. My husband and I had her as our wedding photographer, and she also did an engagement shoot for us. I am a resident of Denver but my husband and I knew we wanted to get married at the NYC Marriage Bureau in Manhattan. I posted an ad on Craigslist in NY and in 5 hours got nearly 100 replies. Luckily Laura replied to my ad and right away, I knew she was right for us. Her attitude was professional and friendly. Her portfolio was excellent, the price was right, she was flexible and best of all, she was super responsive over email. She was excellent at coordinating with me but best of all, I just let her do her thing and I was so pleased with the pictures. They are sweet and sexy and captured the day perfectly. She was a breeze to work with and I felt so comfortable. I can't recommend her highly enough. You won't be disappointed!

Laura was amazing - I am so happy I found her and got in touch! My husband and I were on a tight budget for our wedding and thought about skipping a photographer. I'm so glad we didn't. Laura was flexible and worked within our budget. She was there for the ceremony and beginning of the reception and got some amazing shots. She was easy to work with and picked up on who we are as a couple. I didn't notice she was there a lot of the time, which is actually a good thing, we have some great action shots. The day goes quickly and of course you can't be everywhere at once, but looking back at the pictures now I get to relive the fun. - she caught the mood of the night. We received our CD of pics quickly after the wedding and Laura helped us put together a great album. I can't say enough good things - she's amazing.

Laura was the perfect fit for us! She was very flexible, which was important given that we needed her to travel, to be available very early in the morning, and deal with the conditions of the beach. She handled it all with humor and aplomb. She was professional and responsible, but she was also so much fun that we just enjoyed the time. She worked with our budget, which was imperative, and was never, ever pushy about a package or adding albums or any of that. We really appreciate her unique point of view and love the photos that she takes. We are absolutely thrilled with the quality of the photos. They are just want we wanted; a blend of photojournalism, art photography, and portraiture. We would recommend Laura to anyone in the area!

Laura has been extremely pleasant to work with and her work is truly exquisite. She came early and stayed late capturing loads of gorgeous images. She was wonderful to be around and has a very calming, professional, and friendly presence. She followed us during the coldest night onto the reBar roof to capture images of us with the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges behind us. And then she ventured out with us again for some truly romantic images along the lovely streets of DUMBO. The quality of her work and her creative eye really make her an easy choice for photographer. Laura was a fantastic choice for our wedding photography! She met with us for candid shots in our hotel room, then led us on a fantastic journey through Times Square for a variety of creative and memorable shots. At the wedding, Laura captured all of our special moments with grace and panache. I love all of the pictures of our younger guests too--Laura was great with children! Pennace Photography is highly recommended for all your special events.

Laura and her assistant were great to work with. Laura found me after I put out a plea that I needed a reasonably priced photographer quick after a fiasco with my original photographer. She was definitely willing to listen to my needs and get a photography package that fit within my budget. Even when I told her I was located in Philadelphia, she didn't make it sound like I was making her go out of her way, she had no problem with the distance. I had her for 10 hrs, from start to finish. The wedding went a little over the time it was supposed to, she stayed the entire time without any complaining.
I received my pictures in a timely manner, it only took a month. Now I can work on my thank you cards with Laura's awesome pictures. Will definitely use Laura in the future and word is being passed around about how awesome Pennace Photography is.

Laura and her assistant Joe were great to work with - they were there with me from getting ready through the end of the reception for a whopping ten hours. I don't like being photographed and Laura made me and my husband feel really comfortable throughout the day. The weather ended up being terrific the afternoon of our wedding and before the reception we went to Central Park and took a bunch of fantastic pictures.

I met Laura at a wedding nearly a year ago when she was new to the New York area. I was impressed by her vision and the shots she was taking and I followed her blog and her work thereafter. Aside from being an absolute sweetheart, Laura is exceptionally talented. I have sent clients to her for various photo shoots and I am always impressed by the photos. Check her out!
