Reissa did an outstanding job as the officiant for our wedding! She listened to our specific needs and customized a ceremony that was exactly what we wanted. She was professional, prompt and had a lovely spirit that really shined through on our wedding day. We would recommend Reissa to anyone looking for an officiant for their wedding day!

Rohn and I would like to thank you for the beautiful ceremony you performed at our wedding. It was absolutely perfect, utterly moving, and filled with meaning. It was so wonderful to be up there looking into each other’s eyes and feeling the absolute truth of everything you said. It was such an emotional ride. The feeling of love and commitment and excitement were overwhelming.

There was almost an immediate sense that you connected with what it means to be marrying someone in a same-sex ceremony. You helped make the whole process easy. Where we envisioned awkwardness, you pointed us to people who were welcoming, and you understood the significance of what a same-sex marriage means to those getting married.

You will always be part of a beautiful memory for us. We will gladly recommend you to anyone we know who is tying the knot. Thank you again.

we had a two days to plan the wedding that included finding a officiant.
Reissa Leigh was quick to pull together the vows and some words that fit us to a tee! it was although she knew us forever. She was very professional and very sweat. The wedding went very smooth...even though I was late coming down the isle...LOL what women isn't. I would highly recommend Reissa to any of my friends or accquantes neededing an officiant.

FAQ for Performing the Wedding

What officiant services do you provide?

Civil Union, Interfaith Ceremony, Non-religious Ceremony, Single Religion Ceremony

Can you accommodate the hearing impaired?

Are you willing to perform a ceremony at a non-religious site?

Of course!

What is your attire for the ceremony?

Conservative Black attire, (Long black skirt and flowing blouse) , sometimes a scarf is added for color.

Are you flexible in the wording used throughout the ceremony, including the vows?

Completely Flexible.

Do you allow the couple to write their own vows, if desired?

I offer that to all my couples.

Do you have a list of readings pre-selected, from which the couple must choose?

I use a template and ask them to review it and change, add or delete whatever readings they wish to. If they want something more specific , I research it and offer ideas to them.

How long are your ceremonies?

Twenty minutes is average, Thirty minutes if the couple adds more readings and additional ceremonials, like a Sand Ceremony.

Do you require that premarital counseling be done?

No. I offer it, but do not require it.

Are you willing to perform pre-ceremony rehearsals?

Yes.

Do you supply a sound system?

Not usually.
