Looking back on our wedding photos, Perpixel was definitely the right choice! James has a real talent for finding the right shots at the right moments. We love to look back on our photos because it really captures the best moments of our wedding ceremony and reception. His style is real and candid and his funny personality made him so easy to work with. We would highly recommend Perpixel!!

James is truly a talented and creative photographer! He is very friendly and easy to get along with and funny! He made us feel very comfortable and made us laugh and smile easily, which was great! He had alot creative ideas for poses. We took our pictures at our reception venue, and he was able to bring out the beauty of the place, which I really appreciate. The wedding photos came out so beautiful, its hard to choose which one is my favorite! I would definitely recommend Perpixel photography for your engagement and wedding photos!

James is probably one of the most talented photographers out there, he is truly gifted!

This is my first review of ANYTHING as I am so compelled to comment on this professionalism and eye for great photography. Considering this is probably your most important day of your life, I'd imagine you'd want nothing but the best.

To be honest, I hate taking pictures, yet James has this uncanny ability to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I mean common, do you really want to look unease when these pictures will be cherished for a lifetime?

James's talent is amazing! He captured some of our most endearing moments that I shocked. Our wedding photos and albums are remarkable and his attention to details is unsurpassed.

Perpixel Photography was one of our greatest vendors but most importantly he is just genuinely a great individual. So much so that I had to highly recommend him and his services to all of our friends for their weddings and events.

I was not one of those brides who dreamed of their big day as a kid nor knew what they wanted, but I DID know that the photographer was going to be THE most important decision we had to make... After all, when all's said and done pictures are all you have left right? Having said that, James at Perpixel Photography is who you NEED to book if you want amazing pictures of your big day. James is literally the nicest, most genuine guy you'll ever meet. He is flexible, and prompt in responding- a trait we found doesn't exist with all wedding vendors. His work speaks for itself... when we got our engagement photos (which of course James took) our friends and family raved about how the pictures truly reflected our personalities. It was blazing hot the day we did that shoot, and never once did he complain or try to cut the day short. On our wedding day, James and his second shooter Astrid were early! To be honest, aside from the mini photoshoot we did pre-ceremony, I don't even recall seeing James throughout the day... He captured beautiful moments without somehow being "in the way". When we received our pictures, my husband and I were amazed at each and every image. We wanted a journalistic capturing of our day- nothing too "posed" and that's exactly what we got! He even captured small details like our wedding favors and "getting ready" shots that we"ll treasure forever. My husband was like many grooms concerned with the price of all things that make a wedding, but even he has raved about how smart we were to book James. Honestly, visit his site and you'll be convinced for yourself. James, thank you so much for everything!!!

This is a MUCH belated review for Perpixel Photography -- despite the lateness, I had an amazing experience working with James. This is the least I can do to show my gratitude.

As other reviewers have pointed out, James is super friendly and you instantly feel comfortable with him. At our first meeting, he went over some of his albums with us. While every album shared similarities in quality and creativity, each was unique to the couple in terms of lighting, angles, and personality. James undoubtedly has a keen eye and understanding of the couple he works with, and he manages to beautifully highlight that couple's personality in his photographs.

Needless to say, my husband and I LOVE our pictures from our engagement shoot and wedding day. The pictures speak for themselves, but I'd like to highlight two specific moments from working with James that reflect who he is as not just a photographer, but also as a person:

1. During our engagement shoot at Corona Lake, we had to constantly manually row a boat to get the right angles. James, as the gentleman he is, did not hesitate to grab an oar and help my husband row. Then later, my car got stuck in the sand. Once again, James helped dig my tires out of the deep sand, not caring that he was sweating and getting dirt all over him.

2. On our wedding day, we had over 1000 guests. Near the end of the night, several of our friends wanted to take group shots... with their own cameras. Now, as a professional, James definitely did not have to agree to take these pictures. I felt so bad and kept apologizing, but he did not show an ounce of annoyance and patiently took the pictures on our friends' cameras.

Overall, our experience with James was perfect. Furthermore, as a wedding coordinator myself, I have had the pleasure of working with him on other events. James is a shining example of professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction. I cannot recommend Perpixel Photography...

A long overdue review but finally have the time to saying praises about Perpixel photography.

We are extremely happy with how the pictures turned out and how James carried himself on our wedding day. "Patient and kind" are some adjectives my family described him as.

We have a huge family an half the people were buzzed off champagne. He took control and posed everyone in a direct but very gentle and light-hearted way.

I love his work ethics, his passion and personality. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

All I can say is that James is a true artist!

He captured every moment in my wedding perfectly--from my engagement photos to the reception! He thought beyond the box and did amazing shots for us, not the boring traditional shots. He was professional and thoughtful about everything he did. He gets to know his clients and makes you feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. He will do anything to get the perfect shot! He is worth every penny and then some!

From the moment I browsed through James's pictures on his website, I knew I wanted him to be my wedding photographer. In our pre-wedding day sit-down, James listened closely to what my fiance and I wanted in our photos and did not disappoint one bit! He arrived right on time on the day of the wedding, and even graciously unofficially acted as our calm, cool, and collected wedding coordinator! He took beautiful pictures all while going with the flow of the celebration and craziness of the day.

The 16x20 canvas portrait that came with our package is absolutely stunning, and James even hand-delivered it to me in person just a few weeks after the big event. All the pictures came out so nicely, and were posted on his blog and website in just about a week's time... Lightning fast! It was so fun to get to share all the pictures with my friends and family on the internet!

I just framed and hung a gorgeous 11x14 artsy and colorful picture on my wall today... I've ordered six sets of all the photos, and the high-resolution pictures are frame-ready and unique works of art to decorate our new love-nest together! James is very innovative and creative with his photographs... He has a keen eye and a knack for making even the most ordinary scene or setting look extraordinary and romantic.

I HIGHLY recommend James to shoot your wedding photos. I really can't say enough about the professionalism and raw talent this guy has!! And he's a sweetheart to boot... You can't go wrong! :)

Incredible photographer and an even better person. My fiance and I were struggling financially because we were both attending grad school at that time--He was very flexible with the packages. We saw his page on Wedding Wire and was blown away by his pictures. We are very happy with the images he produced. It was fun working with him and are very thankful for a new friendship.

I was stunned when my wife and I received our wedding albums from James. Like most of the grooms that I know, I was only mainly concerned about the dollar figures that went into the wedding. I did not understand why my wife wanted to spend a lot of money on a wedding photographer. However, during the wedding, I saw how difficult is to capture "that beautiful moment" in a such chaotic setting. James kept his cool and captured some of the best moments I have ever seen.
