We are so thankful that our life path's crossed with Rev. Toni's. We had no idea as to how we were going to select an officiant for our civil union. However, when we saw REv. Toni's picture on her website, her spirit shined through so brilliantly. We knew she was the one!

Rev. Toni guided us in the selection of our vows with patience and grace. Our ceremony was such an intimate and sacred ceremony. We believe that Rev. Toni made all the difference in the world.

Toni Maddi was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Our friends were married by her a year before, and when we got engaged, they e-mailed to tell us how wonderful Toni was. With such a recommendation, how could we not engage her services?

Toni is extremely professional and very responsive to e-mails. Meeting her in person was like having coffee with a friend; she's very warm and very good at setting people at ease. Putting the ceremony together was so special. I loved being able to customize it, and Toni had great suggestions--all of which we used! At the ceremony, ah... it was just perfect. Exactly what we wanted. And Toni was such a huge part of it. She kept checking on my groom and me to make sure we were breathing, not locking our knees, and not about to pass out! The ceremony felt so intimate and friendly and was just to our liking.

Toni officiated our 11/12/11 wedding and I highly recommend her. She was wonderful to work with. I planned our wedding from out of state so only had the chance to talk with her on the phone prior to the wedding day but she gave us an amazing ceremony and it felt like we had a real relationship. I got so many compliments from our guests saying that it was the nicest ceremony they'd ever attended. Two guests even said that they wished Toni had officiated their childrens' weddings. I can't recommend her enough.

We had an unusual wedding. It was a halloween wedding. Every one was in costume. It was a full Halloween theme. From the zombies as a part of my wedding party to the old hag passing out red apples. Toni was great. She made us feel comfortable and less stressed.

We found Toni to be very warm, friendly and professional. We had a ceremony that incorporated several of our own elements built around the framework and guidance that Toni offered. She was more than happy to incorporate what we wanted and had some very good advice to help with improvements (sharing elements among participants/offering to help prepare materials). She definitely looked the part on the day (she'd even had her hair done!) and was very good at calming nerves and making the whole ceremony feel very human but also deeply meaningful. We can whole-heartedly recommend her to you.

We found Toni to be an excellent officiant for our wedding. She was very personable to us and our families, and conducted a beautiful ceremony.

She provided great guidance and even a document with example ceremony readings for us to choose from. It was a lot of help considering the astounding amount of research we had to do for other parts of our wedding - what a relief!

I have nothing but absolutely positive things to say about working with Toni Maddi. She was everything that my husband and I wanted in a wedding officiant. She is extremely intelligent, thoughtful and professional. She truly listened to how we envisioned our ceremony and then brought it to life. Choosing Toni to be the Officiant for our wedding was the best decision! We e-mailed a couple of prospective Officiants and Toni's response was by far the most warm and professional. We met with her in a coffee shop and she impressed us so much we gave her the deposit on the spot. We loved the format that she uses for making the ceremony more personal. It made the whole process so much easier since we weren't starting from scratch. We wanted a ceremony that was pretty straightforward and non-religious but still personal and romantic and that's exactly what we got. Toni totally put us at ease and was very organized on the day of. She did an excellent job during the ceremony, we got soooo many compliments on the ceremony throughout the night. I would highly recommend Toni Maddi if you are getting married in the Chicago area.

HOORAY FOR TONI!!!!!! Toni was SO easy to work with and she was great about our wishes to have a non-demoninational ceremony. We talked about the ceremony a few days before and it was clear to us that Toni was 100% on it. She gave us a few key pieces of advice, the most valuable of which turned out to be giving our 5 year old ring bearer a fake ring to carry. "don't give a five year old your rings!" Our best man had the rings with him and our nephew had a costume ring in a matching sachet to the real ones - and sure enough, he was swinging that thing around, dropping it in the grass, etc for the 30 mins prior to the ceremony. Many of our guests commented that the ceremony was so moving and that Toni was the best officiant they had ever witnessed. Toni even managed to remind me to breathe (twice) without our guests noticing. She balanced the humor of our story with the the tenderness of the hand ceremony and the seriousness of her personal comments on marriage. Toni shepherded us through a dream ceremony - we cannot recommend her enough. THANK YOU TONI!!!!!!

Toni did an excellent job on our ceremony! We had many compliments from our guests about how much they liked our ceremony and the way Toni presented. Before meeting Toni, we met with numerous other officiants, and none of them compared to Toni. We connected with her from the first phone conversation. Rev. Maddi was really great to work with. She's friendly and open with any ideas as well as providing ideas from previous experiences that she had. We didn't have a rehearsal but Rev. Maddi was able to guide everyone through the ceremony. Her ceremony guide made it easy for us to decide what needs to be included in the ceremony. She is very professional. We added a butterfly release to our ceremony about a week or so before our wedding and she jumped with the idea even though it wasn't discussed originally. We had such a wonderful experience with Toni, and I would highly recommend her to anyone in the Chicago area looking for an officiant. She was very responsive at my initial request for information about her services, and during our planning meeting she was very warm and engaging, and flexible in creating a very personal wedding ceremony. She encouraged us to write our own vows, which I normally wouldn't have thought of doing, but in the end, reading vows was one of my favorite moments of the night! Our ceremony was so unique and special, and was absolutely my favorite part of our wedding. I highly recommend Toni. We spoke on the phone and then met in person. She took the time to get to know us. We were able to select what we wanted (and didn't want) in our ceremony which made it "our" ceremony. She was always very quick to get back to us whether it was by phone or email. Very professional. We got a lot of comments from our guests on how beautiful the ceremony was.

I would recommend Toni Maddi to anyone in need of an officiant for their wedding. She is very prompt to respond back to any questions/comments/concerns we had, she is very professional, and she is very warm and friendly. We had an initial meeting with Toni to discuss what we had in mind for our ceremony and from the moment we met her, we knew she was going to be an excellent officiant for our wedding and the right "fit". We had a non-denominational/non-traditional wedding. I am Vietnamese and my husband is Caucasion. I had wanted to incorporate some of my Vietnamese cultural wedding traditions into the ceremony and Toni was very accomodating to what I had wanted (we ended up incorporating a Vietnamese Tea Ceremony into our wedding ceremony). She had a whole list of possibile "scripts" for our ceremony and we were able to pick and choose from her list and we were able to add/modify things to fit "us". This made the ceremony very clear-cut and easy for us because we had no idea on what to do or where even to begin when it came time to figure out what we wanted said during the wedding ceremony. We were able to write up a personal story about "us" and incorporate it into the wedding ceremony. We were able to write up our own vows and she was able to incorporate these into the ceremony. We had an outdoor ceremony and she projects her voice very loudly and clearly (our guest count was 200). At the end of the ceremony, she had us both turn to face our guests which was completely unexpected but I think for both my husband and I, this was one of our favorite parts of the ceremony. We got to stop and see all of our guests and all of their faces which is all such a blur when you're the bride and walking down the aisle to stand next to your man so this was a very nice touch in the end.

Toni gave us the most beautiful wedding ceremony! We continue to receive compliments on how wonderful and unique it was. Throughout the planning process and the actual ceremony, she made us feel very comfortable and helped us design a ceremony that fit us. She made me feel very relaxed on the day of the wedding which I greatly needed. I can't wait to see our wedding video to rehear all of her beautiful words and message.

Toni was fantastic to work with! Her ceremonies allow couples to have a lot of flexibility and decision-making in how to customize the ceremony to fit each couple's taste. I think finding an officiate is the hardest part of the planning. Toni was a perfect find! After we talked with her over the phone (we live out of town) – we knew she was right for us. She sends you a document to give you ideas of a ceremony and then works with you to make it all yours! We did meet with her to go over the ceremony. We can not believe how many of our guests came up to us after the ceremony to tell us how much they enjoyed it and appreciated all that Toni had to say. People told us it was refreshing, thoughtful, warm, and perfect. And we agree! She was amazing. HIGHLY recommend!

I liked how she had several options for wording for each part of the ceremony. That way we were able to personalize the ceremony but without a lot of creative effort on our part! My husband is from Argentina and his parents don't speak English. She suggested that I do my vows in Spanish and provided a translation. His parents and friends were very touched by that special moment. She also had several readings available in Spanish. It added a lot to our ceremony.

our wedding was planned in three weeks she was so helpful we had little money so she offered up her own home for our ceremony she made putting all the details of a wedding together in a short time so very easy she also recomended a restuarant for our reception and it was beautiful thank you tony for the best day of our lives

We love Toni! She gave us as much guidance with putting our ceremony together as we needed. She gave us many options that we were able to pick and choose, put together in different ways, and add some personal touches too. This made our ceremony uniquely ours. If we wanted to go a with a 'standard' ceremony and vows, we could have done that too. People at the wedding and others who have seen the video always comment on our vows - and Toni was a big part of that. The ceremony and our vows was my favorite part of the day.
I would also highly recommend marriage sessions with Toni - or someone. We did ours with Toni and this gave us a chance to meet with her over the 9 months leading up to the wedding. She got to know us and we got to know her. We still keep in touch. We're considering using her for the baptism of our little one on the way.

We had an initial meeting to discuss our thoughts, ideal ceremony, and her thoughts. She inherently understood us and provided several well-written frameworks to help build a ceremony that suited us perfectly.

On our wedding day, she arrived early - looking very elegant in minister's attire. She was the only person who was able to help me feel less nervous before the ceremony - not even my sweet Mom could do that. I felt like she was a long-lost Aunt who understood us both so well. Having her up there with me made me feel calm.

Toni provided the perfect mix of counsel and encouragement. My husband and I knew we wanted a non-denominational ceremony, but had no clue how to approach it and make it personal and unique for our guests and for us. Even though a major traffic jam caused her as well as several guests to be 45 min late (to absolutely no fault of their own) - she did not rush through our ceremony and still made us feel incredibly special. She did a great job and I would recommend her to anyone!

Toni performed a beautiful ceremony. We ended up writing our own ceremony. Not because we didn't think Toni could do it. We wanted to write parts of the ceremony. Between that and the research I did, we ended up with an entire ceremony. Toni was totally open to the fact that we wrote it. Her reading of it was better than I could have imagined. Part of the ceremony included a passage from a poem my husband wrote to me while we were dating (where are the poems now!). Without even knowning the entire poem, Toni read the passage as if she had read the entire poem. We were most impressed. I recommend her highly to you and I have recommended her to my friends and family.

Tony was WONDERFUL! We found her online and after talking to her on the phone, we were excited that she would officiate our wedding. She was willing to drive over 2 hours to attend our rehearsal dinner as well as another 2 hours (one way) to officiate our wedding. She was very flexible and willing to help as needed. Toni was wonderful. We were looking for an officiant that was comfortable doing an interfaith ceremony and would let us create our own service. Toni listened to what we were looking for and gave us some great suggestions. She made sure the service ran smoothly and struck the right tone for our wedding. We can't recommend her more highly.

Toni was really one of the best parts of our day. Between last minute panic and family discord, she calm cool and really took notice of what my wife and I needed from her. She listened well, and gave us a ceremony that reflected what we believe in. Which is pretty much, each other.

We were very pleased with Toni's services. She was willing to work with us long distance (we live out-of-state so all coordination was done via e-mail and phone, with one face-to-face meeting) and things couldn't have turned out better! A very personalized ceremony was developed and she did not have a problem with us having a priest present and part of the service. Some officiants that we talked to weren't as flexible on that point.

Toni was able to provide us with great ideas on how to incorporate my son from a previous marriage into our vows. We got very positive feedback on our ceremony and were very happy with Toni as our officiant.

Toni is friendly and well experienced. She gave us some helpful tips to get through the day and was patient. She is completely flexible on the ceremony details--she will provide a few templates for you to choose from or you can write in bits of your own if you choose. We went with her because she is confident and respectful even if you are not having a faith based ceremony.

Toni did an excellent job for our wedding. She met with us beforehand, was familiar with our wedding location and offered suggestions, and provided to us mutiple scripts with different options, any of which we could use. What was important to us was that she allowed us complete control over the script, and we used it (which some couples might not have the patience for). We pretty much laboured over every detail of every word, and Toni used it verbatim, with no concern over loss of control. Toni did keep one part for speaking on her reflections on marriage which we did not know ahead of time, but it was beautiful. The most heard comment all night from our guests was how interesting the ceremony was, how it kept their attention, and how it really reflected me and my husband. Great job, Toni!

Toni was very charismatic and appeared to have quite a bit of experience officiating, which was exactly what my husband and i were looking for in an officiant. We wanted someone who could support us during our ceremony and help guide us, which was great. She offered us sample scripts as well as the option of customizing how our wedding ceremony could go. We were able to incorporate some customs and traditions that were important on my side of the family, and she did that beautifully.

The only reason why I gave her 3 stars for professionalism was that we found out 2 days later, that she was very short and condescending to my sister-in-law who was giving a speech at our wedding. She made our sister-in-law feel awful about giving a speech, only because my sister in law forgot to email the speech to her. Despite this, she did a good job in officiating our wedding.

Toni was great up until the night of our wedding. She had assured us that she'd make sure things would run smoothly and we could relax and enjoy the evening. Our wedding was to start at 6:3opm and she had told us the previous evening that she would be there an hour and a half early ( 5:00pm). She eventually showed up around 7:30pm without even calling us or leaving us a message as to where she was or if she was even coming. We were basically left to fend for ourselves and keep the timeline of the event on schedule. We ended up starting to ask around in the audience if there was anyone else available to marry us. The worst part was when she did show up, she didn't even apologize or own up to delaying the entire wedding. (And as anyone involved with a wedding knows, even a little delay can cause a huge ripple in the schedule!) As a kicker, she ended up leaving, not saying goodbye and letting us foot the bill for her uneaten meal at the end of the night. I always give people the benefit of the doubt but when they don't even acknowledge something as large as delaying someone's wedding in which people spend thousands of dollars on..I start to wonder.

I had the honor of working with Toni at a wedding that I shot. She was very professional and handled the outdoor wedding really well. I highly recommend her services.
