My husband and I checked out Pete Chambers DJ Entertainment and Event Lighting pretty quickly after reading the great reviews on their site. It only took one phone conversation with Pete to know that we had chosen the DJ company for us. We had DJ Jay and he was fantastic! He totally followed our suggestions for the play list (and do not play list!) and helped us to really pull our night together. We also used their full-room Uplighting package and that absolutely made the room at the Renaissance Boston Patriot Place stand out. Pete Chambers DJ service provided us with an excellent DJ for our wedding. Communication with Mr. Chambers himself and with the DJ we worked with was excellent. They helped us through the planning processes, let us know what information they needed, helped us organize our thoughts and figure out what decisions we needed to make. They were responsive to all communications and were both friendly and professional. On the day of the event, our DJ showed up hours earlier than necessary because he had not been to the venue before and wanted to be absolutely sure that he left enough time for the trip. He performed excellently, and did a great job providing music that was good for each part of the event (cocktails, dinner, dancing, etc.) while taking into account our music tastes.

We definitely paid a little more than we were looking to spend on a DJ, but we got great service throughout the process. It was a very positive experience - absolutely no complaints.

I was a bride who wanted to race through the meal to get right into the dancing with as little slow songs or group dancing as possible, but Pete Chambers knew exactly what to play to get everyone up and dancing! Especially the "circle dance" where the bride and groom are surrounded by EVERY guest dancing in a circle around them...at first I thought this was silly, but my guests were laughing and having such a good time, and my husband and I really enjoyed it!!! Pete is a flexible, fun, insightful, and creative master in his field. He truly made our special day, remarkable! Our DJ was Gary James and he was great, we met online using Skype and went over what we wanted and he guided us to figure out a plan for the day. We were in great hands with Gary, everything went smoothly that day and I didn't have to worry about a thing. The music was perfect for every generation and he loved it.

For my mid-July wedding - my mom's gift to us was our entertainment selection. My fiance (now husband) chose Pete Chambers after extensive research. Pete was a ton of fun to work with and very accommodating all while retaining that certain level of professionalism needed for a wedding. The red up-lighting used during the reception was not my idea - it was Pete's - and it added the perfect touch! The circle dance and a couple other fun activities really made this wedding perfect. Gary was a great DJ and I am so glad we hired him! Originally I had hoped to save money by just having a friend play some music off of an ipod, but some wiser friends and family encouraged us to hire a DJ, and I'm so glad we did -- it was definitely worth it, and Gary was really great! Working with Pete Chambers and DJ Petey-D was an excellent experience. The website made it easy for me to pick out the perfect DJ for me, Petey-D. He was flexible and creative in working with me to have the best dance music possible. My husband and I used Pete Chamber's DJ services for our wedding in Point Lookout, Maine and he was amazing. Pete was helpful, professional, responsive, and knowledgeable. Gary really worked well with the crowd, played amazing music that got everyone, even our 85 year old grandparents, out on the dancefloor, and even took some special requests from our guests. Tom (our DJ from Pete Chamber's entertainment) did a fantastic job at the wedding, and we were so pleased with the way he ran things. My husband and I had an April wedding at the Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, NH. We were a little nervous about hiring our DJ, photography, etc because we live approximately 5 hours away. Pete made our experience so easy and affordable! He was able to give us everything we wanted in our price range and we are SO thankful for that!

Pete and his team conducted themselves so professionally all night, and there were even a few surprises for us too! When the dancefloor opened up is when Pete showed us his real skills and his amazing ability to read the crowd. Pete and Michelle did a great job at my twin sons' Bar Mitzvah in October, 2011! There were over 30 kids there, plus about 100 adults, and I wanted them to keep the kids busy without giving the adults a headache. They came up with lots of games and activities for the kids (and even the adults played along!) and managed to play every song we requested, even all of Mom's 70's songs! They were very helpful with suggestions, and very respectful of the kind of party we wanted. They kept things moving until the end and everybody had a great time! I would recommend them to everyone! Just wanted to send along a HUGE thank you for hooking us up with Jay. He was WONDERFUL!!! He was on time, funny, but w/o the "cheese" and was always looking out for the best interest of the bride and groom. Most importantly, he had people on the dance floor ALL NIGHT. He played a great mix of songs that catered to the entire crowd. I've had many people comment on how great our DJ was. Again, it was a pleasure doing business with you and Jay.

From the first conversation, which was quite entertaining since it sounds like you're talking to a radio (his voice is so soothing!), to the follow-up phone call (well wishes and the request to keep in touch!), Pete Chambers is the DJ of DJ's. Pete met with us beforehand in his studio to customize our wedding, playing us numerous samples and offering us ample creative suggestions (many of which I used). His online program allows you to edit and tailor your wedding from your wedding song choices to your garter toss theme (ours was a song from Ferris Bueller!). He has thousands upon thousands on the program for you to choose from, even to add to your, "must play", "please play" and "definitely DO NOT play" list! You even get to choose his attire. Talk about having your wedding your way! He arrived to the wedding in a completely professional manner, very early. His set-up was completely neat and low profile. Pete surrounds his gear with a façade so you don’t see any equipment or cables. And he gives you incredible audio quality from his Bose-JBL sound system! He granted any request we made and was very flexible with our "flowy" timeline. He made sure we got all of our events in before the videographer left, while being very non-intrusive. Best of all, he was a very easy-going DJ. He played the music types we wanted during the social hour, dinner hour, and dance time. He was not a loud, overbearing cheesy DJ (his motto – “You’re in the NO CHEESE ZONE!”). We also used his Uplighting. It was beautiful! The fixtures were small and were not in the way. The Dance Floor Lightshow also added to the life of the party. The best part was that the Uplighting was also able to bounce to the beat of the music too! Pete came recommended from a friend. After reading a few reviews I agree whole-heartedly with them. He is the best DJ I have ever experienced as a Bride, or as a guest. Pete Chambers is 100% recommended.

Pete was a pleasure to work with for our wedding at the Atkinson Country Club. He provided both ceremony and reception music for our event. He is very thorough in the planning process which is helpful for someone like me who had no idea how many details went into planning a wedding! His online system for making music selections was a nice feature. I am not big into music and did not take full advantage of the system but one of my coworkers who is getting married next month told me she wished her DJ offered this service. Pete was very accomodating for my lack of vision and helped me make the perfect music selections for my ceremony. He also did a great job of feeling out the crowd and keeping the dance floor packed considering we had a Sunday wedding.

The best part of the night for me was the circle dance that Pete used to get people on the dance floor and ready to party for the night. All of our guests were good sports and it helped to kick the evening off with what will probably be my favorite part of our wedding video!

Pete Chambers was exactly what we hoped for and much more! He was always open to our ideas and supplied us with the best party/reception we could ever imagine. He has a great MC voice and knows exactly how to get the crowd moving and in tune. We had Gary from Pete Chambers' DJ Entertainment emcee/DJ our wedding, and we could not have asked for a better, more responsive host! He had so many fabulous ideas, from "That's Amore" (gets people out on the dance floor), to the "Song Bounty list" which raised over $300 for one of our favorite charities (ask them for more info if you're curious!). Gary had a great variety of music which had nearly everyone dancing the night away! My own mother, who I had never seen dance in my entire life, even got out there (and no, she wasn't drunk, LOL!)! I KNEW I had made the right choice right there and then! I would not hesitate to hire Gary James again--he was a true professional and a master of his craft! Pete was GREAT!! The price was perfect, and he was available on relatively short notice for our wedding, too. We hired our wedding DJ through pete chambers. We ended up with Gary who did a phenominal job. We had a very specific age crowd of between 45-65 perdominantly. We requested that he play a good range of oldies and classic rock. Not only did he do an amazing job finding music within the confines of our desires, but he also rejected requested songs that did not fit into our mold. People were up and dancing all night, and no one left before the wedding was over. I was impressed myself, but more impressed when family members kept coming up and commending us on our music selections. If I ever had a big party again, I wouldn't hesitate to hire pete chambers again. Best value for your money!

Pete was awesome throughout the process! He gave our son a lot of ideas for his Bar Mitzvah and also really used his feedback on song selections. Pete did a great job keeping the music quieter during the adult dinner hour, yet the kids were entertained the whole evening! Fun games, great times!!

After all the planning and details put into this night it was nice to just sit back and let our DJ do his job. And what a fabulous job he did!! He could read the crowd and knew exactly what to play to keep them dancing. Everyone is still talking about what a great night it was! Great music, great entertainment, GREAT JOB GARY!!!! We can't thank you enough for giving us such wonderful memories that we will cherish forever

We hired Gary James from Pete Chambers DJ Entertainment. Gary was by far the best DJ we've ever been entertained by. He had the right music, a great voice and made us feel like we were important to him. He took the time to meet with us and called several times just to make sure everything would be perfect. I've never heard of a DJ taking that much time with their clients. Judging by the fact that we stayed an extra THREE HOURS dancing to the great music says it all. I think we would have stayed all night except for the neighbors across the beach. I can't believe how many compliments I received on Gary's performance from both family and friends. Thanks again Gary, you're the best!

I was in a state of panic because my DJ cancelled (friend of the family). I contacted Pete Chambers and he recommended his associate Gary James. From the moment I spoke to Gary on the phone I knew I had made the right choice. He took the time to meet with us to make sure everything would be perfect and it was. The reception was outside on a very hot August day but Gary played just the right music that kept everyone dancing in spite of the heat! He is a true professional and his radio voice made the introductions (some names were pretty difficult but he got them right) sound great! His equipment sounded like we hired a live band. My misfortune turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. I would highly recommend Pete Chambers and Gary James. Don't even think twice!

The DJ was perfect! He got everyone dancing, he was hysterical, and he had great timing. He introduced several games to liven up the evening and they got everyone laughing. I photographed a wedding at the Atkinson Country Club. Pete was the hired DJ. He's very professional. Plays the right music, and keeps the dance floor busy. I can't recommend him enough, if you hire Pete, you will be happy you did, and everyone else too.

I worked with Pete Chambers this past summer at the Atkinson Country Club for a Sunday wedding, which from experience sometimes have a lot of the guests leaving early due to work the next day, leaving the dance floor empty and making my job as a photographer that much harder to capture the party vibe of the reception. No such story this wedding Pete had the dance floor crowded the entire night from the moment the couple entered the room till the very last dance. He kept the pace and the excitement of the night moving right along so there were no lulls in the party. His playlist through out the night had something for everyone, from those that work looking for a more relaxed dinner music to pretty much everyone at the wedding who wanted to shake it the entire night. Speaking from a coordination stand point, Pete was great as he and I had a steady flow of communication so that he made sure I was aware of upcoming moments and I could let him know when I needed to steal the couple away for some of their portraits they didn't miss anything while we were out of the room. Anyone looking for a DJ that is going to keep your dance floor packed and create a night your guest won't soon forget, I highly recommend having Pete Chambers handle your night.

Pete was the DJ at a wedding I shot in September 2010 at Church Landing in Meredith, New Hampshire. Because I see many DJ's, I see the full range of talent. I thought Pete was at the upper end of the range. First, Pete had and awesome light show to go along with the music. Second, Pete encouraged audience participation, especially during the "That's Amore" dance. Lastly, Pete kept me informed of the progression of events and made sure I was ready before he started...which helped just prior to the boquet toss! Thanks Pete!
