Peter Hennes Orchestra

The Peter Hennes Orchestra made our wedding! My husband and I were looking for a band that would make our celebration truly memorable and special; Peter Hennes did not disappoint! The quality of musicianship was excellent and the variety of music available was fantastic.

We can't say enough about the Peter Hennes Orchestra. They MADE our wedding reception truly extraordinary. From the time they began playing until the final song, the dance floor was filled with happy guests and the wedding party. The staff at the reception venue said Peter Hennes was the best band they had heard play for a wedding, and everyone came up to us and said it was the best wedding reception they had been to.

As the mother of the bride and the wedding planner, I have had so many compliments on my daughter's wedding reception. I wish that i could take credit for it all, but the comments from my guests always end with "that is the best wedding band that we have ever seen." The feedback is from many people who have heard lots of the other Chicagoland bands, so I am thrilled that I picked the BEST wedding orchestra in Chicago! "That band was awesome...where did you find them...I have found the wedding band for my daughter's wedding" and the praise goes on and on!

What is truly impressive is their ability to get EVERYONE on the dance floor! Twenty-somethings, teenagers, parents, and grandparents...everyone loves their music.

Each member of the orchestra excels in what they do and the music is so tight. arrangements perfect, vocals truly amazing. I can't say enough wonderful things about the Peter Hennes Orchestra. Peter is a joy to work with and willl make everything happen on your big day even better than you can imagine.

The Peter Hennes Orchestra is an absolute necessity. They were the highlight of our wedding and impressed all of our guests. We looked like heroes because Peter Hennes was able to get every guest of ours out on the dance floor at some point. They were phenomenal and we are glad that we did our research and discovered such a perfect band.

The Peter Hennes Orchestra is simply superb. Everyone at my wedding was dancing like crazy from start to finish. And at midnight, when our time at the venue had run out, people were still going nuts for the music. They are a phenomenal band and I recommend them unreservedly!

Our guests could not stop raving about this band. The dance floor was packed immediately following mother-son dance thru the encore (that’s right, the crowd demanded an encore at the end of the reception, and the band obliged). You will not regret selecting the Peter Hennes Orchestra. True crowd pleasers, and great musicians.

We wanted a band that was not just the typical wedding band and one that was a cut above the rest. The band/orchestra we would pick had to be one that we would gladly watch in a concert setting. Peter Hennes honestly exceeded our expectations. And I'm not always so easy to please:) Fun to watch, beautiful voices, easy to deal with and knowledgable without being pushy, I would challange anyone to find a better group of musicians in the Chicago area. Their sound is what drew us (we listened and watched them on line) and they did not disappoint. Funk, rock, R&B, we wanted to hear music we would want to hear at a concert and sung by showmen and women. And that's what we got. If I may may make a suggestion to any who are considering Peter's orchestra: go for the larger ensemble which include female vocals and horns (we had I believe 10 pieces in all). It's absolutely worth it. Then you get to hear the orchestra at its best.

We were thrilled with the professionalism and performance of the Peter Hennes Orchestra. We had heard great things about them prior to our wedding through a friend of a friend. We also listened to some live tracks online. They were even better in person (if that was even possible). Not only were we impressed, but many of our guests remarked how great they sounded and how they didn't want the night to end. If you ever wanted someone to help lead your party, they are the ones to do it. They exceeded our expectations!

I was pretty leary of just how worth the money Peters Hennes Orchestra would be. But from the second the first note was played I realized that they are worth every penny and then some. My husband owns a music store,so there were many many many musicians that were guests at our wedding and we heard nothing but rave reviews from everyone. My dance floor was packed all night. People are still telling me how wonderful the band sounded. My suggestion would be hire this band,we all plan our weddings on a budget and I was not an exception to that rule. I cut costs in other areas to be able to have the pleasure of listening to the Peter Hennes Orchestra all night. I would hire them again in a heart beat.

Peter and his musicians are the best wedding band you'll ever find. Their singers, sounds and energy made our wedding one that everyone is still talking about. They were awesome and I would recommend them to anyone. They're pricey, but worth it if music is going to be a big part of your reception.

We had PHO play at our reception and they were fabulous! Very high energy, sounded great and got everyone up dancing. My sole criticism has to do with their timing. We had preselected our first dance as well as the father-daughter dance, etc. but we were not given any sort of notice that those dances were going to start. So I was on one side of the reception hall and my groom was on the other side when our dance began -- thereby we had to dash through the guests to get on the dance floor and missed the start of the song. Something similar happened with the other planned dances as well and we felt like with a little heads up this could have gone much more smoothly.

But the sound was awesome. We had 11 pieces and they were fantastic. If you are looking for a live sound and can afford to pop for a band of this size PHO is by far the one you want. Their website is good and has pictures, etc. and Peter will send you a cd in the mail so you can hear them play. The band helps set the tone of the event and having PHO made our event jump, jive and wailin!

By far the best money we spent on our wedding. Everyone was dancing all night long. I told Peter after the wedding, he was the one vendor I would have paid more then what he asked for!

What a band! If you want to have an unforgettable party, this is the band!

I worked with Peter Hennes for the first time this weekend and was blown away! The dance floor was packed all night: fabulous musicians and very high energy. From a planner's prospective, they stuck to the timeline, their announcements helped guide guests through the evening (but were unobtrusive) plus they were really easy to work with! I have added Peter Hennes to our list of recommendations!
