Photo Card Chef
Doing business with this company was the worst mistake I made. I ordered wedding announcements from this organization that printed them with known spelling errors. When I addressed the problem, Ellie starts by rattling off her company policy via email about all that she does not do and offered to let me buy announcements a second time at a discount. Common practice seems to blame the customer for the mistake, refuse to fix the problem and demand to be paid twice to get what you want. Not what I call good business practice.
I asked for a call when I could no longer get an answer when I called, and I was only emailed back. Not only is she a poor business person, she's a coward. If she would have replaced them at her own expense, I would have been able to overlook the poor quality printing job. The announcements are run of the mill pre-designed templates. Ellie makes no effort what so ever at customization. The tactics she uses gets you focused more on the graphics, then entered spelling errors rendering them embarrassingly useless.
Word to the wise, take your business elsewhere. You will save yourself loads of money, time and frustration. I have gone through the Colorado better business bureau and my bank simultaneously to deal with the issue. Ellie still refuses to practice any good customer service. I am getting my money back ultimately with my bank withdrawing funds from the bank for this business, so she can tell her story to her bank when the money is then drafted out of her account, but it has been an ongoing problem for over a month with no effort made on the part of the company to make amends.

Unfortunately, this customer included the spelling error in her original text, and then approved the proofs for print with the spelling error. We did try to offer a discounted reprint to fix the error that she approved for print which she refused. We are sorry that this mistake was approved for print, but only offered quality service that agreed fully with the terms of purchase.
I spent nearly $200 on 75 invitations from Photo Card Chef. They were a double sided 5x7 photo invitation. The cards themself were a bit flimsy and I was disappointed with the quality of paper used. The big problem was the envelopes. They sent envelopes that were see-through and too big for the invitations! They were awful. At $2.50 an invitation, I expected much better quality. I emailed Ellie at PhotoChef Cards letting her know I was too embarassed to send the invites out in the envelopes and asked her to replace them with a higher quality card. Here was her response:
"Unfortunately the envelopes that we send are standard envelopes as we do not offer a thicker stock envelope. The envelopes that come with your card are a free service provided by our printer, which is why envelopes are not extra. I recommend finding an online company for a high quality envelope."
At $2.50 a card, I can't have a decent envelope and she wants me to order one online to match the invite she sold me? This is unreal. I have been running around all day trying to find something to work without luck. She should not be running a business with this attitude.

We are very sorry that the envelopes were not up to this client's standard, but in no way are our standard envelopes see-through. The envelopes are included as a free service by our printers and so, are a free service/inclusion for the customer as well.
Copy of email sent to company: I wanted to contact you one last time and tell you that I truly feel your coupon for 50% off graduation announcements ex: 4/11/2012 was misleading, and here is why. I emailed you on 4/11/2012 at 8:30pm and I was emailed back by 10:44pm. The reason I emailed was because I could not get the coupon code SV7VCP37LMT6 from facebook to work. Your response was: "I’m sorry, but the coupon expired at closing time on the 11th and cannot be renewed or extended. I do apologize that you were not able to complete your order before the expiration of the time-sensitive coupon."
However your post ( which since has been removed and I do have a printed copy of it) did not state a time in which it ended, it only had the date. If you intended it to end by a specific time you should have printed the time with the coupon. I apologize for sending this again but I have recently sold a business in the event industry which I was in for over 11 years and saw lots of misleading things that was just to get customers money. This was probably not your intention, but by not honoring what you posted and then removing your post because I questioned you, sure seems fishy. You could have very easily posted that you intended it to stop at a specific time as well as date, but failed to post that information. Since it was an error on your part you could have easily honored the offer. If you had honored the offer and commented on the mistake, future customers would have gained more trust and respect for a company standing up and doing the right thing. Business do make mistakes it is how they handle them that make a difference. All of our communication took place on 4/11/2012.

The customer received the discount shortly after we received her email, so we are not sure why she has decided to still complain. She did receive her discount that was quoted on facebook.
I ordered my wedding invitations through photo card chef and they turned out wonderful. When you email or call customer service, you get Ellie directly who is flexible and friendly. I was very pleased with the way that my invitations turned out and I would definitely order from her again.
LOVE Photo Card Chef! I used them for my graduation announcements as well as my wedding invitations and I couldn't have been happier! Customer service was great, I got to design my invitations how I wanted them to look, the order came in quickly, the price was good, and even when part of my order was left out, they didn't bat an eye at replacing what wasn't included with the first shipment! Everyone "oo'd" and "aww'd" at my invitations and I was proud to tell them that I designed them with the help of Photo Card Chef!
We spoke with Ellie and she took care of us very well. We ordered some invitations at the last minute and she was able to send them to us by the 3rd day! That was amazing! We were so worried about the usual 2-4 weeks it takes to mail anything and Photo Card Chef was great!
