Gregory was so great to deal with from the start. He was nice and made time to come and see me at hone to show me his work.
The day of the wedding he was on time and took great photos. I would defiantly use him again!
I selected Greg's after looking at his online portfolio and discussing in depth with him what I wanted for my wedding. He seemed very professional at first and his rate was really low. I never thought it would be so difficult to photograph a wedding (I take better candid pics at family events!). The photos were a complete disaster. He brought the wrong lens, so missed most of the ceremony - including kiss the bride. I'm told he was out smoking through much of the day.
The family portraits were horrific - people we not posed and the lens he used made people in the back look like midgets. While he said he was great at candids of the guests at the reception, they all sucked. He only got a few people and missed most of the family - who I told him to focus on. The worst part of the situation was he only took 3 pictures TOTAL of my groom and myself. We were supposed to stop and take some photos but it was raining and he didn't pull us aside and say we needed to do them elsewhere. After the fact, many people told me he was out smoking through much of the day, which explains why he missed so many shots of the ceremony and the reception.
I asked him that he could make it up to us by doing another photo shoot of my husband and myself, and he kept avoiding the entire situation. I guess that's a good thing as I would have been furious during the entire shoot. The only good thing I can say is my mother-in-law at the last minute hired a videographer for us - which was great!!!
AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS!
OMG - this guy was HORRIFIC and almost ruined the wedding date. Not only did he not bring a the proper lense to take family portraints (so everyone looked totally wacko), he missed critical portions of the ceremony (i.e., "the kiss") because he was out smoking. The portraits he did do were aweful and he didn't stage people properly and did a terrible job trying to get the kids settled down. But the worst part, he completely forgot to take photos of the bride and groom (it was raining so we couldn't go to the scenic setting, but he never took us aside to get some shots!!!). He also didn't take many good photos of people during the reception (again, because he apparently was out smoking most of the time!!!)
I gave him several opportunities to fix it by scheduling a reshoot (which was a pain getting all dolled up again), but he never followed-through and totally dropped the ball. Fortunately I found a
DO NOT USE HIM - DO NOT USE HIM - DO NOT USE HIM
(I'm a pretty chill person, and normally don't go ballistic on service providers, but this was truly horrific. I saw my videographer at another wedding and he told me that Greg is not a real photographer and is really an assistant and a real jerk!!!)
It took over a year to get our album and it was promised to us much sooner. We met every deadline and he kept losing our layouts and photo choices so we kept having to reselect and send. The first half of the album turned out great, but the second half seemed half done and more photos could have been used. His professionalism was poor as he was over an hour late to our engagement photo shoot. I also never got a photo of my mother and me alone at our wedding. If we had to do it over we would have selected another photographer.
