Our officiant, Bethel Nathan, recommended Chana and Don to us, and we met them at the Bridal Bazaar. Their fun loving and genuine personalities, in addition to their gorgeous pictures, immediately attracted us to them. For us, it was important to not only have beautiful pictures that will last a lifetime, but also to have photographers that we could connect with and be comfortable with. Your photographers are one of the few people who are with you throughout the entire wedding day and they are part of some of your most intimate moments. If they make you feel uncomfortable or that you can’t be yourself, the pictures will suffer. Given this, Chana and Don were perfect for us. They are so much fun to be around, are truly great people, and we were so happy to have them be part of our big day. They took both our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures and did an amazing job. Throughout both of our photo sessions with them, they felt more like good friends who happened to be taking our photos and not just someone who was working.
In both instances they went above and beyond the call of duty to capture our special moments For example, our engagement photos involved train tracks and walking through the waves in the ocean. Not only were they dodging trains (we literally had to run off the tracks to avoid being hit at one point), but they got into the Pacific Ocean on a cold day to capture some amazing moments of us splashing in the waves. Similarly, at the wedding they were both lying on the ground and doing whatever was necessary to capture the moment. They are troopers and they worked tirelessly to capture every detail, and the quality of their work shows that. We highly recommend them and honestly cannot imagine anyone not getting along well with them or being unsatisfied. Another thing we noticed about them, is that a lot of their customers are repeat customers and that they will photograph a couple from engagement, to wedding, to children.

Amazing photographers!!!! Chana and Don are so fun and easy to be comfortable with. They made our night fun and we got amazing pictures very shortly after we got back from our honeymoon. So glad we chose them for our wedding day.

Chana and Don are amazing and make such a wonderful team!! They are both so much fun and casual but energetic, makes you feel like you have known them all your life! Both our engagement and wedding pictures are beyond words beautiful. We find ourselves looking at our wedding pictures a lot, and every time we are able to relive the day. Everyone has complimented on the photos and some say they look like magazine pictures!! We are forever grateful to them both for capturing our special day in such a beautiful way, photography was very important for us and they did not disappoint.

They were the first vendors we booked, and the only one of the hundreds of vendors at the Bridal Bazaar that stood out to me. As soon as I met them there and saw their work, I texted my husband and told him. They’ve been working together as a pair for ages, and it shows. They’re casual and really focus on telling a story through candids. Of course there are the requisite posed group photos, too. Included in all their packages are 2 photographers, 4x6 proofs, and the digital hi-res copies (on DVD) of all the photos with no watermarks. This means you can do whatever you want with the photos. But if you decide to order prints/albums with them (and I recommend you do), their prices are very reasonable. We ordered an album for ourselves, and smaller ones for our parents. AND, if you’ve heard nightmares about waiting months for your photos and never hearing from your photographer, I guarantee you won’t have that problem here; they have a 2-week turnaround. Chana emailed us 5 days after the wedding to tell us that the photos were all online. We had our proofs and DVD in our hands 9 days after the wedding. Oh, and they also do destination weddings!
These two are very fun and almost blended into the background during the day. Their pictures were lovely however I wish I would have had more candid/creative photos. Their pictures tended to be more posed/portrait style. I don’t think it is a reflection on their skills at all; just wished I’d had a better sense of what kind of pictures they would take over all.

Chana has been an active photographer since 1993, and Chana and Don have been working together as a team since 2000.
Since we have photographed over 400 weddings, we are very familiar with almost all of the San Diego wedding venues and are very familiar with various cultural customs. We have photographed many Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino, Hispanic, Italian, Jewish, Catholic, Syrian, Korean, Hawaiian, etc weddings and are very knowledgable with the different customs which include the tea ceremony, hora, breaking of the glass, signing of the ketubah, cord/veil/coin/candle/sand ceremony, the traditional throwing of the chestnuts and dates, etc etc. This is what makes what we do so fun and exciting!
We have been flown to many locations to cover spectacular weddings, from Maui to Cabo San Lucas. Fun!!!
We were both born and raised in San Diego and absolutely love living in Ocean Beach. Both of us are always taking advantage of the sun, the beaches, riding bikes, having barbeques, hiking at Cabrillo, playing tennis and poker and pool, traveling the world, and having an all around good time! It's all about celebrating life and having fun every chance we get!
