We were 100% satisfied with their service from the day we first met and booked them, through our engagement session, wedding day, and even beyond. You definately don't feel forgotten by them after the wedding is over. They make you feel as if your wedding day is as important to them as it is to you. You will not feel like "just another client /booking " with these two. And the way their photography skills compliment each other leaves no angle or emotion left uncaptured.

Kelsy and Butch are truly amazing! Instantly, they make you feel as though you have been friends for years. Their work is timeless and they do it effortlessly. They will do WHATEVER they can to accomodate your needs, and figure out needs you didn't even know you had!! The McCartney's are the most genuine, down-to-earth people, and truly want nothing but the best for you. They don't know how to take a bad picture, so you definitely will not be disappointed!!

As two busy young professionals, my husband and I hoped that we would evade the stress of wedding planning. We can honestly say that Kelsy and Butch provided us with the ease of mind we were searching for! They made the whole process incredibly easy through constant communication and answering any questions that we had. Combined with their genuine efforts to get to know us and their astounding attention to detail, we were reassured that we had made the absolute best choice in asking them to document our special day. We also felt that we were in good hands with a couple who clearly have a deeply caring and loving relationship themselves!

Kelsy and Butch are SO amazing and wonderful! They did an incredible job for our wedding and also our engagement session. They are so easy going and easy to work with. (I remember revising the wedding day timeline with them probably 7 times and they were more than happy to make it perfect for us) After looking at other wedding photographers, there really is no comparison-- the McCartney's photos are really that great! :) Their photos are so much more natural and less posed and stiff-looking. We do know that we spent a decent amount of money, but we truly believe that it was completely worth it and the photos are something you will have forever. We think its also important to realize you are getting two photographers and not a photographer with a back-up shooter. Kelsy and Butch both have an incredible eye for detail and are SO good at what they do! We are very happy we were able to work with them and would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

LOVE, love, love their work. They are so great to work with, make you feel SO comfortable. My only regret is that I didn't have more time between the ceremony and the reception for pictures and that I didn't have more time with B&K!

Hi, I just want to let you know some of the many reasons why we decided to go with The McCartneys Photography (aka Butch and Kelsy).

Let's start here~When my Husband and I started planning our wedding in July of 2012, we started out with a budget and a priorities list (of about 15 priorities). When it came down to it the photography came in the top 5 in both lists. If you are putting any time and effort into your wedding it's really kind silly to not go with a photographer that's going to capture all of you details, effort, and special moments (and to have it look as nice as you prepared it to be)!

Some more amazing things that we loved about Butch and Kelsy are: They dressed super professional and looked like they were going to a wedding, Butch went with guys prior and Kelsy was with the girls before the ceremony, and of course their pictures look like they are straight out of a magazine/fairy tale.

If you want two professional/understanding/trendy/great people with great ideas~you are simply missing out on what could make a huge difference on such an important day/milestone in your life! :)

Then look no further than Butch & Kelsy McCartney! They are simply amazing and as an obsessive lover of pictures I knew that I wanted to make sure our wedding photos were ones to remember and would last a lifetime. Let's just say they were so much more than I could have imagined. Moments were captured that I never knew possible and our love story was told beautifully through pictures that could be in any bridal magazine. Kelsy and Butch made us feel really comfortable in front of the camera and also helped calmed the nerves on our big day. Pictures are one of the only tangible things that remain from the wedding so it's important to get great shots that capture the day. They did a great job of putting our wedding story together and we will always be able to look back on that.

Kelsey and Butch were the most wonderful photographers!! We loved their style and their easy going nature. You can really tell that they enjoy taking photos because they have fun while they are doing it! A family friend highly recommended that we take a peek at the The McCartney’s Photography. Wow, were we in awe! After a few emails/phone conversations we felt an instant connection with them and their photography style. Kelsy and Butch are such an authentic duo and were genuinely excited for us and the details we were planning to incorporate into our wedding day.

Before we could commit, like most couples, we had a lovely little budget to abide by so we gladly re-arranged ideas, costs and put photography as a top priority. After all, you get ONE day..ONE chance for your Photographer to capture YOUR day. Why wouldn’t you want to feel 100% confident in the Photographer you hire?

The McCartney’s were wonderful at walking us through the start of our engagement session and after much laughter, we were completely at ease at being photographed. The images from our e-session captured us wonderfully and left us smiling from ear to ear.

Our wedding day arrived and Kelsy and Butch couldn’t have been a better fit with our family and friends. They jumped right in and took control of what they needed to accomplish. They share such a unique perspective and true talent for this art and it shows; our wedding day images are absolutely breath taking! Looking through our images brings us back to our day (that flew by entirely way too fast) and we are able to enjoy the emotions all over again. Every.single.time!

We are forever grateful that we put photography as a top priority. We feel blessed and honored to have had The McCartneys along during this memorable time in our lives!

What a team! Kelsy and Butch absolutely love (and are fantastic at) what they do! They were dedicated to getting to know us and capturing every detail of our wedding story. I found the McCartney’s when looking for wedding photographers in the Wausau area; they caught our attention with their photojournalistic approach to weddings, attention to detail, and the way they could capture the energy and emotion of the moment. I also noticed they were friends with another photographer friend of mine. When I asked him what he thought of their work, he told me, “If they are available BOOK THEM…you won’t be disappointed”. And he was right!

We met Kelsy and Butch in downtown Wausau for our engagement session. We were a bit nervous to be in front of the camera, but they put us at ease right away. They were extremely professional and captured all the magic moments of our wedding day, from getting ready, to our ceremony, the reception, and all the little details that made our day special. We are so happy with the quality of our prints and the wedding coffee table album that tells the perfect story of our day.

Regardless of whom you choose as your photographer I think it's critical that you meet with them a couple of days before your wedding to highlight the shots that you don't want them to miss. Kelsy and Butch are VERY good at what they do but they can't read your mind.

We also had asked for a timeline recommendation from the McCartney's and then made some modifications (mostly eliminating some of the portrait time) to ensure that our guests weren't waiting too long between ceremony and reception. My suggestion to future brides is your guests can wait, take all the portrait time you and your new husband want...it's your day and you don't want to be rushed. I loved our venue and wish we had spent more portrait time around the site and in the park in front of the venue.

Overall, we loved working with the McCartney’s! The photographers were definitely the most important part of our wedding and we feel our money was well spent on the McCartney’s exceptional style.

After my first brief conversation with Kelsy McCartney, I was convinced my hubby and I needed them for our wedding photography. Kelsy and Butch were incredibly helpful, cheery, and accommodating from that first phone call. Hiring the McCartneys meant exceeding our initial budget for photography, but we are so thankful we made photography a priority! We cared more about having incredible photographers capture the essence of our wedding than we did about anything else that we knew wouldn't last past that day. As a result, we have hundreds of beautiful images that make us feel giddy inside every time we look at them because they take us right back to the amazing feelings present on that magical day!

I think the McCartneys would be an especially wonderful choice for a couple who's not exceedingly comfortable in front of a camera. It's impossible not to feel relaxed and joyful around those two-- their love and happiness for each other and their job is absolutely contagious.

In retrospect, the only thing I was a bit heartbroken about is that I don't have a photo of just my two sisters and me, who were my maids of honor. I figured that would be an obvious shot to get before the ceremony, but I don't think anyone should assume their photographers will get every shot they hoped for. If I got to do it over again, I would have been more specific about photos like that. Overall, though, as is evidenced by my ratings, we were absolutely thrilled with the McCartneys. If you haven't booked them yet, do it soon! :) I've recommended them to many, many friends and will continue to do so. Thanks again, Butch and Kelsy! :)

Kelsy and Butch are a dream photography duo! It is clear that they truly love what they do and love working with each other. They always kept us at ease and the awkward posed moments never seemed to happen. Perhaps most importantly, the photos turned out beautiful and were a perfect representation of our special day.

Kelsy and Butch are simply awesome! From the first time we met them during our engagement photo session to our cememony and reception, they made us feel so comfortable around them and in front of the cameras.

Our pictures turned out better than we ever hoped, and they captured all the moments that we will never forget. They also do a great job in the presentation and packaging of photo prints ordered.

We met Kelsey at a bridal expo and were immediately impressed with the unique pictures they had on display as well as her personality. We setup a meeting to meet Kelsey and her husband Butch who are both photographers. We felt we had a great meeting and were very happy with the way they present their business and options to the customer. They are professional, confident and know what works. That said, they are great listeners and are very open to ideas. They took pictures of our whole wedding day. From us getting ready (which was great to have both Butch and Kelsey taking pictures of each of us before we saw each other), through the ceremony, dinner and dance. They are so respectful and made us feel at ease. Because we were so comfortable with their ability to capture and create great moments, we asked them to pull us aside at any time if they felt it was a great photo opportunity. We were not disappointed. The pictures were amazing. Their great chemistry together shows while they are shooting and comes through when you see the photographs. Of all the decisions we had to make about our wedding day, the decision to use The McCartneys was the best choice we made. They are friendly, kind, compassionate and easy to work with. It has been great to see the McCartneys continue to be more successful including features in major wedding magazines. This is not a hobby for them. They are a husband and wife duo who has photography as a full time profession. Their livelihood depends on their success and they have shown they have the talent to outshine all the others.

The McCartney's were great to work with and gave us the most artistic wedding and engagement photos we've ever seen. Their style is incredibly unique and unparalleled. We searched long and hard to find a good photographer for our wedding and the McCartney's work blew all other competitors out of the water. They were so much fun to work with that we plan on hiring them again for future events!

We really enjoyed that they work as a team, splitting up to capture all the special moments. They are recently married and young, you can see that through their images, focusing on the candid events throughout the day. Butch & Kesly were extremely flexible when we frequently changed our travel schedules to meet with them. We can truly say that we plan to stay in touch and that we have made new friends! Side note: we also ordered our Christmas photos from them and they arrived less than 2 days later, WI to CA...amazing!

Butch and Kelsy are a dynamic duo. First, they were upfront about their photography style, their prices, and expectations for services provided. They even worked with us to tailor a pre-set package to better fit our needs. Once we officially had a contract signed with them, they continued to be accessible and were more than happy to just touch base from time to time and to answer my frenzied bride questions.

Our engagement session was fabulously fun and relaxed, and we were proud to use those pictures for our wedding guest book and save-the-dates (which the McCartneys designed). When the actual wedding day came, Butch and Kelsy needed no direction, but were more than willing to do what they could to give us what we were looking for in our pictures. They were an integral part of our day, from start to finish, but they worked inconspicuously when appropriate.

Shortly after we returned from our honeymoon, they were in contact with us to give us an idea of when our photos would be ready. They put together a blog with a subset of our pictures that we really enjoyed showing off to our friends, and then gave us online access to our complete gallery. We were able to share that access with family and friends so that our guests could order pictures, too.

It was incredibly difficult to choose our favorite photos in the gallery - each one seemed to capture a glance, a special moment, a strong emotion. We were able to re-live our wedding day over and over as we poured through our pictures. Butch and Kelsy also put together a little video/slideshow of some of the day's highlights, which was fun to share with those we invited to the wedding but were unable to make it. Okay, I'll admit it was fun to watch on my own, too (I may have shed a few tears . . . ).

In the end, we received a few printed portraits, all the digital negatives, and a priceless coffee table book that the McCartneys constructed from the day's images. We we thrilled to display both the book and the portraits in our home. We are sure to be giving framed McCartney photos to parents, grandparents and Godparents this Christmas!

I was looking for a photographer that was going to give me a photo-journalist point of view on our wedding day and they did that and so much more. We have so many amazing photos that we love and have actually worked with Butch and Kelsy since then because we just love them! My husband just commented this afternoon that we should have them take photos every couple of years because we love the way that they are able to capture our happiness and sense of adventure.

Jeff and I have so many wonderful things to say about Photography by McCartney that we don’t know where to start! Butch and Kelsy are a fun, dynamic, professional photography duo. They shot our wedding in November of 2009 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and it would be impossible to have gotten better pictures to immortalize our special day!

Butch and Kelsy were with us as we got ready in the morning until late into the reception, capturing an amazing amount of photos chronicling the entire day. The angles used, poses staged and portraits shot were incredibly creative; these two have an astonishing talent for creating visually-stunning images and effectively utilizing any and every space available to them. Personally they are just as fun as the images they create—they aren’t stuffy or strict, and melt in well with a bridal party and reception crowd to snap wonderful in-the-moment action shots!

Our package included a hardcopy book featuring some of the photos taken throughout the day; everyone that has seen this book is taken aback by the quality of the images! Pictures were taken at a few Milwaukee landmarks such as the Mitchell Park Domes and Calatrava expansion of the Milwaukee Art Museum—people think they are looking at a bridal magazine and not a collection of our photos!

Butch and Kelsy are fabulous photographers; the service is professional, the product absolutely AMAZING, and the price competitive. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better value for the quality of service and product provided by Photography by McCartney.

Butch and Kelsy were great to work with! Their enthusiasm was fantastic and helped make our wedding day a lot of fun. The pictures turned out great and the price was incredibly reasonable.

I used Photography by McCartney for both my wedding and my newborn's first pictures. They are an excellent team that had more of a photojournalistic approach to their photography. They captured our wedding as it happened as opposed to staging things. I've always thought it unusual when a wedding photographer will stage the first dance or cake cutting... Butch and Kelsey were there for the entire thing and did an amazing job. Instead of the generic group photos we went to a park and just had fun with our wedding party. My husband absolutely hates having his picture taken, on our way to the reception after all the photos he said, "Wow, that was actually fun!" That basically sums up our experience with Photography by McCartney. It was fun and we have amazing pictures that will help us remember our special day forever.

I looked around for awhile before I came upon McCartney photography. I was astounded by their raw talent and how little they charged compared to the "big guys".
