We chose Verdi photographers after seeing their work in a couple of wedding magazines. They returned our initial inquiries promptly and always answered our email or phone calls cheerfully and directly. They were professional and friendly. They made taking pictures fun and really put us at ease. Our pictures are fantastic! They captured the magic of our day beautifully and our pictures are just as I imagined. They captured so many moments that we hardly remember because we were so caught up in our excitement,but now we can look back and relive the whole experience through new eyes. They are true artists and make a fantastic team!

I chose Photography by verdi because the photos were what we really wanted to spend our money on for the wedding. I had all kinds of settings and pictures that I had picked out that were important to me. I put 2/3rds of the deposit down for the pictures when we started talking about what sort of pictures we wanted. They told me that they didn't want me to send them any ideas because it would stiffle their creativity. I thought Hmmm yeah I guess that I don't want to do that. So I said ok I look forward to seeing their creativity. Thay have a great website, so I felt good about that. They sent me an e-mail 3 days before the wedding, I had deleted my picture ideas by this point, asking me what ideas I had for photos. Excuse me? What happened? The day of our wedding,Thank god we picked a cute creative hotel, because that was all they had. Pictures of the wall AC unit and a nude painting in one pic. Horrible. Instead of them driving up after they were done taking pics of us at the hotel, they waited in their car for 45 minutes and followed us up. Really? not going to get to the location and take pictures, huh? The wedding was on a train, aside from the hotel, not a single picture was taken of the wedding party off the train. That means all of the pictures have this guy in a cowboy hat in the background or the rusty metal fence (Not vintage cool, Trashy) from the viewing car. I haven't gotten the album that comes in my package yet, they told me 50 pics in one e-mail and now saying 40. Why tell me 50 if they were not cetain?! Then I have 50 pics picked out and then they say oh oops. Now, it is December, 2 months after the wedding, I've looked through all the photos... wow. I have cried too many times over the result of their complete lack of creativity. I am now writing reviews so that other brides can make a better choice. We are going to pay another photographer to take some good pictures. Mindy and Rich (photographers) have made this a nightmare.

As anyone can see, when you have 35 reviews, all 4.5 and above, and mostly 5.0's. and one is so obviously negative, where the fault lies. I have all the emails to back up everything that we are responding in writing. It is true, that we do not accept lists upon lists of photos to capture. When a couple hires us, they hire us for what they see on our website, like they should do, no matter who they hire. If you want to send a photographer a million magazine clippings of what to shoot, you obviously do not have confidence in the your choice of who you hired. We never once emailed her three days before the wedding to ask what we should take. We have been in business for 20 years and know what photos to take for a wedding as can be seen in the many, many reviews above. When we arrived at the adorable hotel she had picked out, she remarked to us how SHE had selected it because of its decor. Naturally, why wouldn't someone take photos of the bride in this room getting ready with the decor as a background. It is similar to when we go to a bride's house and they say "oh this is the staircase my father built, or the garden my mother toils away in every day." When we left the hotel for our ride up to the train, we had full intention of stopping along the way and in fact, waited for them to load the cars, while one of her bridesmaids went back and forth looking for things, people, items they didn't know where they were. To say they were disorganized, would be putting it mildly. After a solid hour sitting in the parking lot, we finally left, knowing that they now had used up their time for stopping elsewhere for pics as we had a train to catch that was full of not only the wedding and their guests, but total strangers and tourists as well. The whole drive up to the train, we kept on talking as we passed locations, about how cool it would have been to have had the time to stop here or stop there. When we arrived, we had to wait for them to pull into the parking lot, and then carry all the wedding paraphernalia from their cars, as she states "why didn't they take photos of the guests". How on earth would we know who the 80 people out of hundreds of people were, that were their guests? When we boarded the train, we then asked about taking photos once again with the wedding party only to be rebuffed by her ambivalent attitude that she and he had to now decorate the train with boxes of train whistles for the children, plates, sporks, napkins, food, banners, sign in boards, little succulents in vases, etc. which took another 45 minutes or so and then the train whistle blew and the train left the station. They had a viewing car and all the wedding guests from two closed cars spent most of their time outside in the one viewing car which was inbetween the two other closed cars, naturally. How on earth she thought her guests, YES HER guests wouldn't be in the backgrounds of the photos, is beyond us. And, being her guests, why would we think that they shouldn't be included in pictures??? Then, in an effort to respond to our customers on a very timely basis, Rich answered an email she sent, when she should have had her contract on hand about how many photos came in her album. Mistakenly, he wrote 50 instead of 40 as we operate out of two different locales, the east coast and the west coast. When he noticed his mistake, he apologized profusely to her. Should he have waited three days to respond when we got back to the office from shooting a destination wedding, our answer now would be yes. But we try and treat our clients, with the type of treatment we would want someone to do for us. So, this review came out of her anger because then she wanted 50 photos and didn't want to pay for them. In the end she did put the 50 in, 10 extra and DID PAY for them. Does that sound like someone who is crying every night over her photographers and wants or NEEDS to hire someone else, WE THINK NOT!

Mindi & Rich were fabulous! The helped to create memories and to make our day special. Their pictures came out perfect. We are still getting compliments. I would recommend them to anyone. They are fabulous! They work great as a team and totally understand the flow of the day. They will always be our go-to photographers for any of our future special occasions.

Mindi and Ashlyn did an amazing job between still photography and the fusion video of capturing all of the big and small moments of our wedding. After many emails with Mindi and Rich during the planning process, they knew that Jordan and I really wanted just a handful of the "must have" photos and the rest to tell the story of our beautful day with many scenic shots. The coffee table style photo album came out amazing and Rich was great with working with me on a few minor tweaks. The fusion video is a must-have for anyone who wants a video to just capture the highlights within 3-4 minutes and not sit through an hour long video. I have started recommeding Mindi and Rich for the events I do professionally as well.

We found out about Verdi from an add on Facebook and met with them within 3 days of contacting them. We absolutely loved their work and booked them two days later. We've had an amazing experience with Verdi from our vintage apple picking engagement shoot to our wedding day. They have such a spectacular eye for background, angles, color contrast, and absolutely everything. They have provided the finest quality of services and captured all of the details and big moments from our day, without being imposing. Our guests and bridal party have mentioned that they barely noticed there were there. They also created an amazing fusion video for us of photographic stills and video set to music. When we watched the video, it brought back all of the memories and emotions of our wedding day. They managed to capture us completely and their photos and fusion video embody not only the occasion, but also who we are and what is important to us. If we ever need professional photos, we will definitely contact them in the future.

Rich and Mindi were absolutely amazing throughout the whole wedding process. When we first met with them we knew immediately that they would be our photographers. My husband is extremely shy, but after our engagement shoot with the Verdis he was completely comfortable and even excited about having his photo taken!! On the day of the wedding they helped with so many things beyond the realm of "taking pictures". They even helped make sure my veil was on right!! We did not feel that photographers were at our wedding, but friends and people that we were happy to share our day with!! Anyone looking for amazing photos while working with great people should check out photography by verdi! My sister had such a bad experience for her wedding with the photographers she chose... so I was worried about this. Let me tell you, there is NOTHING to worry about when working with Mindi and Rich! They were so accomodating to make our wedding perfect and capture all the right images. They even came to Kansas to do our engagement shoot!! The two of them have such a good eye for beautiful angles and light. Their creativeness shows in all of their work. They were so nice on our wedding day. They even shuttled my hubby and I to a different photo location because it was so hot that they didn't want us to walk! These 2 are genuinely nice people with great hearts, and also happen to be AMAZING at what they do! We got our shots back so quickly after the wedding, so we didn't have to sit around anxiously and wait too!!

WOW is all I can say. They captured the entire night from start to finish. I highly recommend doing the upgraded package if it is in your budget as the video is really fun to have and a great was to share your day with people who could not make it. The pictures they take are not your standard boring ones so if you are looking for that, this is not the place for you. They create ways that every picture is interesting and make it where people want to see the pictures. They are fun to work with and get great shots all night so you will have ones of the reception that are keepers even! They did such a great job that if I have any other photo needs they are the people I would call.

They shoot weddings in New York and as well in Arizona. The pictures they took were STUNNING!! They took so many amazing shots we found it very hard to narrow down our choices for our wedding album. What’s great about their style of photography is the capture the real moments. They see the emotion or what is special and they shoot at the perfect time. But they’re also not intrusive with their shooting. We never felt like they were all up in our business. I couldn't be happier with the Verdi's services. Upon initial contact they were friendly, responsive and completely up front about their services and pricing; they cut us a good deal and were easy to work with.
On the day of the wedding, I was glad to have them around. While we took our posed photos, they were patient and professional, and Mindi kept the session fun and breezy, helping reduce our overall wedding stress. During the ceremony and reception, they slipped into the background, never getting in our way --but they still got great shots of everything.
And the pictures were great! It's nice to have cool people be your photographers, but what's the point if the shots aren't good? Fortunately, Mindi and Rich produced absolutely stellar photographs, from the formal posed pictures to the candid reception pics. Our photo album is ridiculously great --creative, unique, and beautifully composed. Everyone who has seen the pics just raves over them.

Photography for my wedding was extremely important to me. After everything is said and done, all you have left are the memories and the photographs. I didn't want the old fashioned "stand here, face this way, tilt your head, no lower, chin up, raise your right arm, nclench your hand, smile, no less teeth, look this way" kind of pictures. They come out beautiful, don't get me wrong, but I wanted my pictures to tell a story. I wanted them to be more natural and free. I did alot of research, and came to the conclusion I didn't want someone who took pictures for a living. I didn't want a wedding factory, I wanted a photographer, a storyteller, an artist for my photo's. I wanted someone who had a passion that showed through their work. After alot of research, the one photographer(s) that kept popping up was Photography by Verdi. Luckily enough, they had my wedding date open, and I immediately made an appointment to meet with them. We drove up to their beautiful home in LI, and you can feel their warmth as soon as you walked in and up to their studio. They were the nicest people, and we instantly felt a connection to them, which was something I also felt was important. I have a tendancy to feel intimidated by some people, and I certainly did not want to feel intimidated by my photographers. But when you meet Rich and Mindi, you feel like you've known them forever. They showed us a slideshow of their work, and they had us. Everything they showed us was better than the last! They captured moments in people's lives! You saw the joy in the bride and groom's faces. You saw every emotion in their photo's. We booked then and there, and it was the easiest and best decision I ever made! They were so great at the wedding, they had such an eye for detail and for great photo oppurtunities. They were unobtrusive, yet there for everything! When I got my pictures back (less than a week after the wedding by the way) they caught things I didn't even know were there or were happening! They managed to get photos of all of my guests, without most of them even knowing it! I am so happy we chose them, I now have the story of my day in photo's, better than I ever expected! I can't wait to find another reason to have them take our photo's!

I having been dreaming of my wedding since I was a small girl. I spent hours reading wedding magaines and now I am in one. My wedding photos were recently publised in a magazine because my photographs were truly a work of art. Photography by Verdi are a husband and wife team. They truly love what they do and it shows in their work. My photos do not capture the moment but rather capture the essence of the moment. When I look at my photos I don't see the picture I feel the picture. My wedding was over in the blink of an eye and all I have left are my photos. When I look at them I truly relive the experience. Mindi & Rich Verdi are not just wedding photographers, they are artists. They caught every smile, laugh, tear, and raw emotion. They did this without me even recgnizing they were there. They also are unique and innovative. I did not want cooker cutter photos. I can honestly say that I have never seen photos like mine before. I had a lot of ideas of what I wanted and they really went above and beyond to capture them on film. I guess it all come down to this "they just get it". They have an eye and with it capture magic. I feel so fortunate that I used them because you only get one shot. So many of my family and friends regret their photographer chooses. Again it is not something you get to do over. People hem and haw over the price etc... but in reality it is one of the only things you take away from the day. It is your legacy an heirloom for future generations... THATS PRICELESS..... I strongly recommend Mindi and Rich Verdi. Just make an appointment and go see their work. I promise you will not leave there home without booking them! They are a family and will become part of yours for years to come. They will create your heirlooms for you!
Where do I start, Mindi & Rich are wonderful people as well as artists. They captured moments in my wedding that I will treasure forever. The pictures were candid & captivating I had such a hard time picking out of the 1400 or so proofs. Everything from the proof book to the thank you cards to the final album was perfect! When I got home from my honeymoon the pics were already on the website, I stayed up till 3am looking at every single one! Mindi & Rich were worth every penny, remember all you have left in the end are your memories & the pictures of your special day & I always feel that you do get what you pay for! DONT SKIMP GO FOR IT!

AMAZING!!! Rich & Mindi are simply amazing. From the unique pictures they take to the wedding albums they put together .. they are top notch. What makes them so fantastic is that they capture the full ambiance of the venue and the attitudes of the wedding party. I have photos with the groom and groomsmen walking in the woods and my bridal party and I playing on a life-size chess board. (Our wedding was at a Castle)
They are so professional and they completely blend into the background. No bright lights ... no asking us to stop and pose .. they just snap away and collect the most amazing pictures.

As you know (from speaking through my mother) Vic just returned from Iraq at the beginning of November and having the album for his return home was soooo special!
