Reviews for Piazza in the Village

I got married here in May of 2013. Every guest at my wedding said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. The Piazza waits on you hand and foot, and makes you feel like a queen. They are very professional, and have a lot of personalized items to offer such as: name emblems on the dancefloor, the name waterfall thing, the engraved words in the wood in the chapel, etc... My wedding coordinator was Michelle, and we got the premier package. It was an amazing night, that I will never forget.
Pros: Beautiful venue, one-of-a-kind, food is delicious, lots of options on food and hors d'oeuvres, very professional staff, they send you a copy of ceremony on video, very little decor needed in chapel because it is breathtakingly beautiful on its own with just the candles.
Cons: A wee bit expensive, but you pay for quality. One hiccup of the night, I specifically told them I needed a vegetarian option and told them what table # the guest was at. I found out weeks later they told her they didn't have a vegetarian option. Also, I had three flavors to my wedding cake, they told me and my husband they would walk around with each of the flavors and ask guests which one they wanted. They didn't they just cut and served and guests didn't even know we had 3 flavors. That kinda ticked me off when I found out weeks later. Overall, if that's the worst things that happened, it was an amazing...

Very pleased with our experience! From our first tour to our grand exit, Piazza was wonderful to work with. Heather was an amazing coordinator and made sure our wedding day was absolutely flawless. Food was amazing, atmosphere was incredible, staff was attentive, and Heather made it all happen! The price was 100% worth the perfect day and wedding of my dreams! Don't have a single complaint about my experience-- HIGHLY recommend Piazza!

The Piazza in the village was amazing, the chapel is gorgeous, and the grand ballroom was fantastic! We had great people working with us the whole time that we were planning our wedding. Everyone there does a great job of making sure everything you need is taken care of and removing as much of the stress from the wedding day as possible. The only thing is that it is a little pricey, but most wedding venues are and you really get what you pay for at the Piazza!
GUEST

Piazza in the Village was the first venue I looked at and instantly fell in love with it. The staff is very friendly and flexible and my wedding coordinator there was the best. The prices are very resonable for what you get. There are many packages to fit your needs, but I would definitely recommend upgrading to a higher package. Piazza gave us the wedding of our dreams and we would recommend the venue to anyone!

Wow! This place took my breath away when I first saw it and didn't fail to impress from that day forward. The team at the Piazza, led by Michelle, was absolutely amazing! The service is over the top and the experience from the planning meetings to the open house to the actual wedding are worth every penny. You really can't go wrong with this venue. Plus, it makes for the most beautiful pictures!

Any questions you may have they have all the answers to and they also help make planning a wedding as stress free as possible. All my guests still talk about how amazing the Piazza is both with staff, beauty and food! i totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a wedding venue!

A big shoutout to April Harrison for making sure our wedding was AMAZING! The Piazza was by far the most elegant, timeless, gorgeous place we could have had our wedding at! The staff, the food, the facilities, service, EVERYTHING was exceptional! My family cant stop talking about it!
Thank you so much for making the wedding of my dreams come true!

We loved the Piazza and our coordinator, April. She was amazing and everything went so smoothly! Piazza handled everything and the it is such a beautiful location. We did have the reception in the smaller ballroom, and it was great for our intimate wedding.
GUEST

Piazza and all the staff there was so amazing. It was our biggest expense by far but well worth it! The only thing we didn't like was that they have strict time lines and you pay for any extra time needed. I would do it again if I had to... The venue/service made our wedding the best!!!

I booked my wedding at the Piazza about 2 months ago and I am SO EXCITED that I am able to have my wedding here. Honestly, the only reason I think we decided to book with the Piazza is because of Lorna... and because it's BEAUTIFUL! Lorna is such an amazing, sweet lady. When we first toured she made me feel like I was the only bride who was ever going to get married there. The Piazza was the first venue I looked at and after that we toured The Milestone, Ashton Gardens, and some smaller places around the Dallas area; but my mom and I kept finding ourselves thinking, "These places are nice... but she doesn't give a tour like Lorna does, and this sure isn't the Piazza." My mom and I decided to have another meeting with Lorna to get a second look and to run some numbers. At the second appointment Lorna was so excited to see us again and sat with us for almost 2 hours just running numbers and giving us different options; I think we almost closed down the place that night, but she never rushed us. After begging and pleading my parents to give me the go ahead, we finally signed during the third appointment. I don't think it's just a job for Lorna, you can really tell that she absolutely loves what she does. Even though I am a booked client now, Lorna still treats us with the same kindness and respect that she did on our first tour. She is always a call or a text away and never hesitates to answer my questions. I think I've always known the Piazza was where I was going to get married; but I am so thankful Lorna was there to help show my parents how amazing I already knew the Piazza was going to be!! I cannot wait for my wedding and to meet the rest of the staff. If they are anything like Lorna it will sure be one magical day!

I searched in 5 cities for a wedding venue because I was looking for someplace special, not just a hotel or another ‘typical’ wedding venue. I loved Piazza so much; I decided to have a destination wedding in Dallas just to get married there. Piazza’s story of how it came about is very apparent when you walk the grounds, they are just so accommodating to the bride and groom and attentive and professional every step of the way. My fiancé and I did have to save our pennies for this wedding, but what I’ve learned throughout this experience is: you get what you pay for. Sometimes things are over priced, and sometimes, things cost a little bit more but you get so much more out of it. It was worth every penny. My guests are STILL talking about the food, and the venue and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience with them. We had some pretty ‘interesting’ requests, but our coordinator, Michelle, didn’t miss a beat. She was very professional and thoughtful in assisting us in dealing with our families and she even assisted with setting out items on the day of the wedding. And because my husband and I are in the military, we invited guests from all over the place…Piazza offers video live stream, so we had guests watching our wedding from Germany, Korea, Afghanistan and Jamaica. I know that wouldn’t have been possible if we went through a different venue. Piazza in the Village made our wedding day more special than we could have dreamed.

I was originally supposed to get married at Chapelle, but the venue closed and I didn't know until 3 days before my wedding. Piazza stepped in and gave me my dream wedding and made it happen within 3 days!! April was my coordinator and I've honestly never known such a good hearted person. She made sure everything flowed correctly and she did it with such grace. Her, Robyn and Michael were truly blessings from God. I will never forget them or forget how special they made our day.

Even though it is a little pricey, it is worth every single penny. The food is delicous, the service is amazing, it is very convenient for guests, and everything you ask for will be done. The wedding planning process and the wedding day could have not gone any smoother. I highly recommend using the Piazza for your events. I still get compliments on our wedding.
GUEST

My husband and I loved the Piazza. It was absolutely beautiful. It didn't need much decor. Most of all the reception and ceremony being connected together was very convenient for guest. I would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a beautiful, all inclusive, and elegant venue.

From the very first meeting with the Piazza (and gorgeous Lorna!), I was SO impressed with it. I felt incredibly taken care of from the time we signed our contract until our amazing wedding day.
First of all, the Piazza is impressively beautiful with every single amenity you could imagine wanting or needing on your wedding day. Second, Michelle is the single most amazing coordinator on the planet. She is so incredibly sweet and went way, way above and beyond to make our day special. She is easy to work with and will truly do anything and everything she can to make your day exactly how you want it. Finally, our wedding went off without a hitch. That never happens. But literally, everything that was supposed to happen, did happen, and at exactly the right time. I cannot say enough good things about this venue (or the amazing Michelle--seriously, I think she might be a super hero), but if you're thinking about booking here, you really...

I had my wedding at Piazza on May 18th, 2012! Everyone there is so incredibly dedicated to their work and try their best to make sure your wedding day goes off without a hitch. Tabitha was our wedding coordinator and she was absolutely fantastic to work with! Even though we were running late due to hair and makeup, Piazza was able to keep us mostly on schedule and we did not miss any big events! Heather, who is one of the owners, is absolutely lovely to work with, as well! The food is incredible! Our guests still cannot stop talking about how beautiful the wedding was, how beautiful the venue was, and how great the food was! Overall, in my opinion, this was the absolute best choice for our wedding venue because they really delivered our perfect wedding day!
GUEST

All my guests LOVED the food and the venue! It was a beautiful wedding and reception and wouldn't change a thing. They are kind of pricey and tend to nickle and dime, but it's well worth it at the end.
GUEST

The chapel at the Piazza is by far one of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen. I even switched venues just because of the chapel. I loved how everything was at one centralized location so that guests did not have to worry about getting lost going from the ceremony to the reception. Our wedding planner(that the Piazza provides for you), Michelle, was more than amazing. The Piazza is certainly not a venue that you want to choose if you are on a strict budget or trying to save money because it is quite pricey(but TOTALLY worth it!) This is one of the very few venues in which going to see it in person is better than the photos on their website!
GUEST

Our wedding at the Piazza was incredible. Everything came out as good or better than we expected. We can't say enough about our coordinator Laura. On the night of the wedding, my new husband and I did not have to think of a thing. It was definitely a night to remember. I was a premier bride and highly suggest that package if you can afford it. You get alot of little extras that really made the night.

I contacted Lorna at Piazza in the Village, we corresponded several times. I stated to her that I was not flexible on our wedding date. I Called her 2 days prior to our tour to make certain the venue was still available. I told her if it booked up to let me know and we'd cancel our tour. We drove 1.5 hours to get there all to be asked as soon as we walked through the door "if we were flexible on our date". Apparently, they had booked this place the evening before and didn't have a chance to give us a "courtesy call". Lorna had to arrive to work prior to the tour but didn't think for a second to give a courtesy call. To top it off HWY 114 is completely under construction which will not be complete anytime soon. She didn't have the ability to tell us ahead of time to use an alternate route. She tried selling us on the Grand Ballroom for a 100 people which would look absolutely ridiculous as it seats close to 300. The venue is beautiful but Lorna is not "up to speed".

MOST AMAZING NIGHT OF MY LIFE AND IT WAS BECAUSE WE GOT MARRIED HERE!!! From day one of walking into this venue and being completly wowed by the beauty of this place to meeting Robin and David.... to the very end where I cried because I was going to miss them all so much.... HANDS DOWN THE BEST PLACE TO GET MARRIED IN DFW AREA!!! Laura was my coordinator and was always helpful... Linda was my captain and I mean there was not a second I didn't have a drink in my hand!! All of our friends and family kept asking where did you find this place.... we even had someone write on our facebook we all feel like we should send you a thank you card for the most amazing wedding we have ever been to!! AND IT WAS ALL BECAUSE OF THE PIAZZA!!! From the food, to the staff, to the venue, to the vendors they are associated with this place is where you want to start your new chapter LADIES!!! They have thought of it all!!! From the surround sound system, to the drop down tv's to paly a slideshow before your wedding.... to the bridal suite where you can watch the guest enter to the photobooth, the ice sculpture, the smallest details this place is worth every dime!!! If I could do it all over again and again and again the Piazza would always be my choice!!!
GUEST

If anyone were to step foot in this place you would know it is drop dead beautiful! You are assigned a wedding coordinator 3 months out. Laura was mine and she was FANTASTIC! She was super sweet and was really flexible with my crazy retail schedule. She answered any questions any of us (me or my parents) had. Everything ran so smoothly (minus the dj but that isn't her fault). Plus to this day I still have people commenting on the food and how amazing it was! The chef there def. works his magic! So many people commented how gorgeous the wedding was!! Thank you Piazza!
GUEST

AMAZING!! So glad we chose the Piazza for our wedding. Everything was PERFECT! They ran everything completely according to schedule as planned! Michelle was my wedding planner and we loved her just as much as the venue! She took care of everything for us and it was a joy to work with her!

I write as the mother of the Bride. My daughter Brandi married Kevin Aug 5th, 2011.
From the first day that Randi told my daughter of the Piazza, it has been nothing but the most delightful expierence for Brandi.
When you enter into an agreement with the Piazza, you are assigned a a staff person that is your special representative, to assist in the planning of your wedding or event. The details and the special touches they give to both the bride and groom is beyond words.
Michelie from the beginning assisted Brandi and Kevin with the planning and vendors. The night of wedding Michelle and Bethany, graciously handled the wedding and reception evening working with families members, the Bride and her attendants, as well as the Groom and his attendants. Making all so comfortable.
The Piazza coordination was both efficient and professional. Kate Foley Design came in and transformed the beautiful chapel and ballroom area into a floral wonderland., Keith Long who officated at the service was so personable and warm. The Piazza staff was gracious in accomodating the wonderful ,delicious, oversized wedding cake made by Michelle ofTexas Star Bakery.
The Piazza reccommende the Dj, Randy Ro Productions , and you must visit his website, he has the reception broken down into sections and you can choose from various songs or pick your own. While the Piazza has built in cameras to video the wedding, which are fabulous, Brandi and Kevin wanted another video team to film the entire wedding and reception. Betty and John of 2 Talents Video, were like family the entire evening. Again Michelle and Bethany accomodated them when needed. The guest and the famiies as well as the Bride and Groom simply enjoyed the evening.
The most difficult thing about hosting an event at the Piazza is the multitude of choices they offer, from lighting, the color of lights, the food choices, bar choices, to effect the mood you want. It was all the small details that made this wedding so magical. Experiecing an evening at the Piazza, I thank you for your professionalism and warmth.

LOVE the Piazza! We booked our wedding here over a year in advance - once we saw the site, we had to have it. Yes, it's a little pricey; when we first sat down with Robin and saw the food and bev minimums, we had a minor panic attack. However, when you add up all the costs involved, it really all evens out. We saved a couple hundred on transportation alone just by having the ceremony and reception in the same location. These guys have literally thought of everything. The staff are amazing; Laura was out coordinator, and she was always super timely about getting back to me and answering my (many) questions. She really took care of everything for our wedding, including using her "MacGyver bag" as my husband called it to fashion a bout for one of the groomsmen out of other florals when the florist sent them over one short. Literally everything has been thought through and designed for the perfect event at this place. The staff was constantly coming up to my husband and I at our wedding asking if we needed anything; hors d'oeuvres were set at our places (since we missed cocktail hour taking pictures), we were served first, drinks were brought to us wherever we were, and pieces of each type of cake were set aside at our places as well. Laura kept checking in throughout the night to make sure things were going the way we wanted, and if there were any issues or catastrophes, I didn't know about them. There were all manner of staff there for our wedding, and everyone kept talking about how beautiful, fun, and well-planned our wedding was. This place knows how to handle an event, and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Piazza in the Village made my dream wedding come true. From the minute I set foot in the chapel, I knew I had to get married there. It is a little pricey but definitely worth it! Laura was my wedding coordinator and from the start, she was incredible. She took so much stress off of me and I knew when she said she would take care of it, she would. I had her cell phone on speed dial and definitely used it. She was so quick to respond with everything and so helpful. This venue definitely has the wedding process down to an art. Everything ran so smoothly, I didn't have a chance to worry about a thing cause they were on top of everything. We wanted to have a buffet but had too many guests so we ended up having a plated dinner. The food was amazing! everyone we talked to mentioned how great the food was as well. The photobooth was a huge hit! I had a scrapbook for guests to glue their picture and write us a message. I think this is one of my most cherished items I have from the wedding. My husband and I laughed hysterically the first time we went through them. On my wedding day, Laura and Katie Randolph were by my side and knew when I needed something before I even knew. I can't thank them enough for making our special day perfect. The Piazza really did think of everything here. My wedding was great, just wish it wouldn't have flown by so fast!

Piazza in the Village offers excellent service. The venue is hands down the most beautiful and breathtaking venue close to Dallas. They think of every detail! If you haven't been in person, check it out. The photos are gorgeous but don't do the place justice. My wedding planner from Piazza was fantastic (Laura). I actually didn't have to hire an outside wedding planner b/c Laura was so helpful. I had her cell phone number and she was always there when I needed her. There was literally NO stress the day of my wedding b/c everything runs so smoothly there. The only "negative" I could say is that they nickle and dime you for EVERYTHING!!! It was a really expensive venue but worth every penny!!!
Can't comment on the food much b/c I was too nervous to eat. Everyone (including my husband) said the food was delicious. We had action stations and I think it worked out well. Looked delicious:)
The biggest hit of the night was the photo booth. When people dress up and take photos it prints 2 copies. One for them to take home and one for the bride and groom to keep. The Piazza had a great idea to have a strapbook laid out for the guests to paste their photos in and write a msg along with it. The photos were hilarious (especially toward the end of the night). I ordered photo booth frames online at http://photoboothframes.com/ and gave them to each guest as a party favor.

I got married at piazza October 2nd. All the way up to the wedding day i said that piazza was overpriced and was quite adamant about that. Until i saw what an amazing job their whole staff did. The best run wedding chapel ever. They earned every cent they made. Towards the beginning when they first opened up they were nickeling and diming, but after they see what works they cut alot of that out. The Chapel is breath taking and the ballroom is just as spectaculor. The food was out of this world, everyone couldnt stop talking about it. Michelle is a godsend, she made sure everything ran smoothly there is no better place.

I had the absolute perfect wedding here!!!! There were a few issues in the beginning regarding who was actually coordinating my wedding and it took a couple of phone calls to get everything figured out, but was well worth the small amount of trouble. Michelle and Heather were wonderful to work with!!!! I cannot express that enough. Even when my husband became very ill and we thought there was a possibility we would have to put everything on hold for several months, they helped me and reassured me that everything would work out. They were as flexible with me as possible and in the end it was all SPECTACULAR!
The food is amazing! The waitstaff is amazing!!! Everyone in attendance for the ceremony and reception told us this was the best wedding they had ever been too. I still get compliments from friends when I see them. Oh, and they even web-cast the ceremony live for friends and family who were unable to attend! We had many more people with us than just those in the chapel.
I wish we could do it all over again! We just had such a wonderful, wonderful time!
Again...IT WAS PERFECT!!!!!

My father-in-law just got married at the Piazza this past May and I was completely ashonished how the staff treated the bridal party and the family of the bride and groom. The staff was soo rude. The bridal party was running late and the staff continously harrassed the bride about needing to hurry. At one point I got volunteered by the wedding coordinator to set up the table arrangements in the reception hall. I had no clue what they were suppose to look like and neither did the coordinator. I also had to be the messenger for the caterer to the wedding coordinator. They had me walking back in forth from the chapel to the reception hall ( which was down the street from the chapel) to get questions answered that I believe they should have known months in advance. There was NO COMMUNICATION between the staff. This kind of \"professionalism\" continued the rest of the wedding. In the end, the bride ending up CRYING right before they were suppose to do their last dance because of the constant issues they were having with the staff. I would think if you are in the wedding buisness that would be you NUMBER ONE goal...make the bride happy dont make her cry.

Great venue! The food and service was perfect. Would definitely recommend.

The Piazza in the Village exceeded our expectations. Everything was fabulous. Michelle was an excellent coordinator and really gave us peace of mind. The manager, servers, and all the staff were top notch. Food was excellent too. The place is a must for a beautiful wedding. Yes it is costly but they did not disappoint. You must see this place for yourself!
GUEST

The Piazza is simply beautiful!! I immediately fell in love with the chapel when I saw it; the acoustics are amazing! Things are very pricey at the Piazza, for example, my father wanted Guinness served so they charged him almost 5x as much as it cost per case for them to serve it, along with paying for the open bar. I guess it's a given, but when they tell you anything, especially about things being included towards your minimum, make sure it is written out in the contract before you sign it. The girls that work at the Piazza are extremely helpful and get back to you quickly about your questions. In particular, I really enjoyed working with Michelle and Alex. Michelle was the best at helping me prepare for the wedding and was on top of everything that needed to be done the night of the wedding. Michelle had all of the details in check. The food and atmosphere at the Piazza are the best! I would recommend the Piazza to anyone. I really loved getting married here and celebrating in their reception hall after! My husband and I had a magnificent wedding here!

I absolutely Loved my wedding! My husband and I signed our contract to have our wedding here BEFORE the facility was even BUILT! The staff of the Piazza is so honest and attentive that I would not have gone anywhere else. While there are less expensive venues in the metroplex, few venues include all of the services that come with the Piazza, and it's so unique!! I would tell Brides who are working with a budget but want a truely unique and beautiful experience to consider having your wedding on a Sunday or look into creative ways of finessing the touches of your wedding yourself. Your wedding really is an investment and the return you get on it is the memmories and joy of knowing that you started your life together in a way that aptly represents you and your husband. The Piazza is the only place to get married. The end.

Our dreams came true here. EVERYTHING was perfect. This is where you have platinum weddings. Infact, one was on TV at this venue shortly before my wedding.
Alex was AWESOME! FOOD WAS GREAT!
GUEST

The staff at Piazza were good to work with but were newbies to the wedding industry. They are still working out little kinks which is to be expected of a brand new venue but learn quickly from their mistakes. I would definitely choose them again despite the few small things that were not handled to the best of their ability.
