"Pickled Okra is an AMAZING Band! They are a group of talented , Fun , entertaining and truly nice people! I had never heard of them before Sept. of 2012. While helping our daughter make plans for her upcoming wedding , I asked her what band she had chosen? Being in the music industry , I knew she would probably book a big name band. To my surprise the entertainment would be a band I'd NEVER heard of.....! My daughter assured me they were wonderful. The nite of the wedding I was introduced to the Band , they really dressed the part and I couldn't wait to hear them! Everyone was completely blown away at their talent and Huge variety of song choices! While trying to visit with family members and guests almost every conversation went to "WOW!!...they are awesome!" Its hard to explain how cool it is to hear *Led Zeppelin , *Pink Floyd and The *Grateful Dead preformed by these Bluegrass Masters! They are sooo FUN to watch and listen to! There is nothing too big or too crazy for PO to take on , they are fearless , and the result is by far one of the most entertaining Bands I've ever seen! Our daughters wedding was Beautiful and very special , and the music/entertainment was unforgettable! It doesn't matter if your 5 years old or 85 years old........ You will LOVE "Pickled Okra!!!

We got married at my in-laws' house in Chelan, Wash., doing most of the planning out of state. I contacted Pickled Okra, sight unseen, based on their videos and online reviews. From the getgo, they were responsive to my questions about scheduling, costs and equipment. The high degree of professional service continued right through the day of the wedding. They showed up right on time and followed our instructions on parking, setup, timing and all the other logistical details that go into moving that many vendors in and out of a small space in such a small time frame. I mention all these details because they become all-consuming on the days leading up to the event. But the real reason to hire Pickled Okra is the music. We had a motley crowd, not all bluegrass fans, and I'd bet every one of them complimented us on the music at one point or another. The group sounded fantastic and has a very long list of great tunes in their playbook. Any band that can pull off "No Woman No Cry" -- with a mandolin, at a wedding -- and leave the guests singing along at the end of the night is well-worth hiring.

Pickled Okra was the best choice we made during our wedding planning! Paisley & Todd are the absolute best and were so easy going, they completely took the stress out of that portion of the planning. We had a very laid back ceremony & reception; we literally only gave them a few specific songs to play and from that, they totally got our style and played a killer set. If your looking for that old-school twang with a modern twist, these guys are as good as they come!

I have seen this band at two other venues and they are absolutely THE best. I never thought I would have a live band at my wedding but after seeing their energy and sheer love for music and a good dancing crowd I just had to have them. They bent over backwards for us even though they already had other commitments they came through! Wonderful down to earth people... what a steal! I could go on all day.... THE BEST!

While I didn't hire PO for my wedding, they did a terrific job playing at our Evergreen Mountain Bike Festival. Everyone from kids to folks in their 50's had a blast listening to their original new-grass songs and classic rock songs made twangy. I highly recommend them for any event.

If Pickled Okra’s special brand of Americana music can be described with words, one might say “old-school, porch-settin’, sing into a can-style bluegrass”. If you ask them, they might call it “ham and cheese grass”. Either way, their music is full of ideas borrowed from old time fiddle tunes, jazzy delta blues, pop, rock, reggae and funk as well, for a sound that is timeless yet modern in it's own quirky way. It’s kind of like stepping back in time, but with indoor plumbing. This group - made up of two married couples, all characters in their own right - is undeniably charming, and undeniably entertaining. Not to mention pretty darn talented.
