Piece of Cake Events

I came across Piece of Cake Events after an unfortunate situation with another wedding coordinator. I wanted a day of coordinator so that I could truly enjoy my day, and not have to depend on my parents or bridal party to take care of anything so they could enjoy the day as well. When I met with Christine, I instantly knew that she was the person that I wanted with me on my wedding day. From that moment on Christine was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was always extremely responsive with any questions or concerns that I had. She helped me out with many ideas and suggestions. I was also lucky enough to also have Christine with me at my rehearsal, which I feel was such a great decision! She got a feel for the church, the officant, and all the logistics for the ceremony. She arrived on time and ready to go on the wedding day, and from there on out was an absolute asset to me! You dont realize how many small things happen on your wedding day, and it was so nice to have her there with me. When I needed a break, there she was, when I was having issues with guests, she was right there. No matter what happened, she was there to solve the problem! I would hire her all over again! I most definitely recommend Piece of Cake Events to any bride out there who truly wants to enjoy her wedding day!

We contracted with Piece of Cake Events for our daughter’s wedding and could not have been happier with our choice. In the beginning, we debated on the need for a wedding planner. However, with the ceremony and wedding in another state, we decided to hire Piece of Cake Events. From the beginning, Christine offered wonderful suggestions. This covered everything from a calligrapher for the invitations to recommendations for the welcome bags.

I don’t think that anyone can imagine the number of details that need attention the day of the wedding. We quickly realized how important Christine was to the smooth running of the event. Throughout the wedding day, Christine was there guiding the process. This started early in morning with ensuring that everyone was getting ready on time, sending the bridal party on their way to the ceremony, and distributing corsages and pinning on boutonnieres. At the chapel, Christine orchestrated the procession and then lined up everyone after the ceremony for the receiving line. After the luncheon, Christine gathered our relatives for photos and stayed with the bridal party as they walked around the campus with the videographer and photographer. Later in the day, Christine made sure that everything was set for the reception. Her assistant was on site at the hotel to load guests onto the buses.

Christine’s calm and professional presence ensured a smooth and glitch-free wedding day. More importantly, we were able to enjoy the moments without having to worry about the details. We are very thankful to Christine and Piece of Cake Events for making the day such a huge success.

Christine was just amazing... there are no other words to explain how great she was the day of my wedding! I hired her for Day of Coordination and she did so much more than that... Over the course of a year, she helped me SO much - gave me recommendations on which vendors to use, where I can find certain things I was looking for, even helped me plan my wedding photo locations!!! The day of the wedding she was with me every step of the way. I don't know what I would have done without her!! Even my sister was saying she was amazing and wanted to take her home!

I really don't know what I would have done without Christine the day of my wedding. She was my rock! Christine kept everything on time and organized. If any problems arose she was on it (I was lucky and only had one minor issue). She is an absolute pleasure to work with.

Christine was great!!! She truly saved my day. In the meeting prior to my wedding she always gave me great advice and truly calmed down all my woes and worries about the wedding. The day of, she was seriously a super woman. I have no idea what I would have done if she was not there. She made sure I stayed calm despite all the drama that was going on around me (my dad and brother being super late and missing my walk down the aisle). She managed to keep us on time and on schedule and i didnt have to yell at as many people as i thought i would haha!! She even found my stepdad at the reception hall when we needed him for pictures. I always knew she was there even when i didnt see her. She truly was the best vendor and I don't know what i would have done if i didn't have her there.

Where to begin on the amazingness that is Christine at Piece of Cake Events. About two months into our wedding planning process, I realized that I desperatly needed someone to run my day. I didn't want to worry about what time things were starting at, when the flowers were arriving, whether the limo's were on time or not, where the photographer was etc. We decided to meet with Christine based on othere amazing reviews we had read about her. We decided on the spot of our first meeting that we wanted to hire her. She was organized and extremelty professional and courteous but above all she just seemed normal. So many of the vendors we met with seemed fake and so caught up in the business that it just felt like we were being feed line after line of bs. Christine seemed the total of opposite. She totally understood our stress and knew just what to say to make it better. Christine ran both our rehersal and the day of our wedding. I can tell you with complete honestly that she was our best vendor. Seven months after our wedding and my parents are still raving about her to anyone they can. She took care of us, my parents, my in-laws, and all our vendors. I was the calmest bride ever because I knew Christine had a handle on anything. I will continue to recommend her to EVERY bride I come in contact with.

I have to admit that I was completely overwhelmed when I began planning my wedding. A detail-oriented person, I was determined to do everything on my own and make everything absolutely perfect. The only problem was, I had no clue where to start! I cannot begin to explain how fortunate I feel to have found Christine. Not only is she organized, resourceful, professional and reliable, but she is a fun! She made us feel completely at ease, and we immediately felt that that the most important day of our lives was safe in her hands.

We hired Christine as our day-of coordinator and I can’t imagine our wedding without her. Upon our first meeting, she helped us organize and prioritize our completely overwhelming and seemingly never-ending wedding “To Do” list. She was excellent about checking in periodically during the planning process, and always offered excellent advice and several amazing vendor recommendations. When it came time to do our details meeting the week before the wedding, she basically saved my life. I left our meeting and nearly cried out of sheer happiness and relief. I honestly felt as though I were the only person who knew all of the tiny details that I had been planning for the past 11 months, and she just took them all out of my hands and into her own. She is the reason that I was able to relax and enjoy my wedding day – which is simply priceless. She handled everything from anxious parents, to tardy vendors, to a broken dress bustle, and I’m sure a HUNDRED other things that she never even let us see. I honestly don’t know how she does it, but this is truly her calling. Christine ensured that our wedding day was exactly what we had dreamed of, and for that, I can never thank her enough.

If you have the opportunity to hire Piece of Cake Events, do not pass it up! I would recommend Christine to any bride wanting the perfect wedding day – she is simply AMAZING. Thank you, Christine!

Looking for outstanding service, look no more! These gals are the best of the best! They are attentive without being pushy, they are calm when your nerves are frazzled, they worry about everything you would, but now don't have to! My wedding day was everything it was supposed to be and more because they were there to help me. I was actually really sad when it was time for them to go. My dress had a stain and they literally found a CVS and bought club soda to remove it. I was hungry - t hey had snacks, my makeup needed fixing up - they went and found the most exact likeness of the color i was wearing to touch it up! I was fine all morning until we got to the Church. They were the only ones left with me and truly calmed my frayed nerves before my walk down the aisle. Superior, customer service and overall, truly beautiful people to work with. Words will always come up short when I try to explain how phenomenal Piece of Cake Events was on my wedding day.

Christine was amazing! Our wedding involved a lot of DIY which meant a lot of outside coordination and setup. On top of doing a ton of other things Christine and her sister/assistant Lisa helped make sure this all went smoothly and turned out just how I had envisioned. She was so calm and organized and a great person to have around on the wedding day. There were some slightly scary situations that came up the week before and she followed up on them as many times as needed to make sure we didn’t have any issues on the big day. I think another thing that was among the most helpful was working on the timeline with me and then helping to make sure we stayed on track. The day just goes by so fast and without her I think we really would have fallen behind during a few of the earlier stops. We also had a ton of contact before the wedding itself and she helped me to track down centerpieces (I finally picked ones I wanted and then they were discontinued from the provider so she managed to get them through the manufacturer), provided some vendor recommendations, and gave me advice and input along the way. If you’re on the fence about a DOC, it really is a huge help and great piece of mind and I definitely recommend Christine!

they were beyond amazing
so attentive to my every need, and even attentive to the needs i didn't know I had. They were a pleasure to work with, and they were my top vendor.
i really dont know how i would have made it through the day without them, and i can't imagine what my wedding would have been like if they weren't there.
Every time I turned around they were ready to lift my dress, or fix my veil or help with my purse.
my florist forgot to light the candles at the reception hall, and so my DOC ran off to climb the tables and light the hanging candles on my centerpieces.
when my dress got dirty, they had shout wipes on hands to clean my dress. My bustle failed me, so they happily pulled out pins and redid it.

As stressful of a day as it was, Christine took away all the worries that we could've had. She went above and beyond any expectations we could've had. Mother nature didn't cooperate with us on that special day, but Christine did everthing within her power to make sure we got the most out of the day. A great example of how she showed her dependability was when the chargers we ordered were switched for the wrong color, she got up early to meet with the vendor of the day of to make the switch. This was just the start of an amazing day she provided for us. Words cannot describe the gratitude we have for everything she did, and would definitely recommend her services to anyone in need of a d.o.c. If you want a stress free day, Christine is definitely the way to go. Christine you rock!!

We hired Christine as our day of coordinator. We cannot say enough good things about her. She was by our side all day, always involved, but never got in the way. She was really on the ball when it came to organizing our vendors, calling them to confirm before the event, answering any last minute questions I had, and additionally asking us about things that we had not even considered but were vital to our day being perfect. The day of the wedding she handed out my tips to the vendors so I did not have to, she was very aware of everything going on around us when it came to the vendors, and if anything went wrong she was on top of it but always kept us informed. Not only did she take care of my husband and I, but was very attentive to the bridal party and guests (a couple of examples: One of my bridesmaids dress strap broke and she took care of it, also my new sister-in-law who was a guest at my wedding had a huge run in her stockings and Christine went out of her way to find her new ones). Although, I was the one who decided to hire a DOC and dealt primarily with her, my husband was raving about her after the wedding saying how he couldn't get over what a huge help she was and what an amazing job she did.

Christine - You did an amazing job as a day of coordinator. I couldn't have asked for a better person to work my wedding. Everything ran smoothly and you handled every issue perfectly. Whenever I thought I might need you all I had to do was turn around. You were very attentive, calm and totally professional. I wish we had your help throughout the whole planning extravaganza. If I had know about you earlier I would have hunted you down and nabbed you. I will rave about you for a long time. I will look through the many family's pictures and say "that girl hiding in the background - yeah she was amazing!" Everyone was impressed and you were totally needed. I used Piece of Cake Events as my "month of" coordinator. Christine was an absolute pleasure to work with. She really went out of her to accommodate me at final vendor meetings and was always very quick to respond to all my emails. On the day of her and her assistant were on point with everything. They got us water and food, constantly making sure we were ok and set up everything. It was so nice to have my family and friends just enjoy the day instead of having them help out. I was stress free on my wedding day and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I was extremely lucky to have worked with Christine from Piece of Cake Events through out my wedding planning. She was fantastic! She helped in designing my menu, picking out the favors, assembling my invitations and countless other tasks. I could never have done it all without her.

She was VERY sweet, and SUPER nice. Probably the least expensive day of coordinator I could find. To be fair, I would say my wedding was very difficult for any of my vendors to deal with as my mom was acting crazy which I had told all of my vendors in advance would happen. I hired christine to help mitigate that...to deal with my mom the day of so that I would not have to worry about it, and also help coordinate our prewedding photography session at another site before we arrived at our venue.

I would say that from what my fiance told me, she DID end up trouble shooting the fact that he forgot his tie at the photoshoot (!) and she dealt with that without my even knowing. She also showed our photographers around the photoshoot site as none of them knew where it was or what was available. Those 2 tasks were indispensible that day.

There were also times though when she seemed to get stressed (ie getting everyone into the limos on time) and I ended up getting involved as she would keep asking/coming to me with issues (things like..."we need to get everyone moving") which were things that i had hoped she would just step up and handle. The parking permits that I had given her in a packet with all of my other contracts in advance were not used the day of the wedding so I ended up having to pay again for parking for 2 cars at the photo site. After the ceremony when my mom was giving the venue staff a really hard time with the centerpieces (rather than attending the cocktail hour like the mother of the bride should be doing), christine ended up approaching me about the issue which really stressed me out, rather than taking it to my bridesmaids/groomsmen/brother or really anyone else...I just wasn't sure what I could do about it at that point.

Overall, she was really nice and I do think that she was helpful, but I do wish that I hadn't been involved or had to know about many of the issues that came up that day.

We have partnered with Christine on several occasions and she is simply one of the best! She is dedicated, talented and passionate.

Having worked with Christine on several weddings I have been able to establish that she is in complete control as the Day of Coordinator. I worked with Piece of Cake events in the beginning of May and wow are they just fantastic. They put together a wonderful wedding day for a very gracious bride. Everything looked amazing and made my job all that much easier to film. 5 stars for this wonderful company!

Christine is a very talented and creative planner; you need her on your team. She will help you with every aspect of your wedding from pre to post. She is especially skillful with taking your budget and putting your ideas with her ideas and she comes up with what amounts to miracles. She is a doll to work with as she has an even temperament, laughs easily and she is a can do woman that delivers every time.
