Pink Lily Memories

Hi! I am the groom's mom. Our family absolutely loved the wedding ceremony at the beach with Pink Lily Memories, Rev. Stacy Canaan. She had great ideas for the wedding and even included our son's aunt by providing her a fantastic reading about love and marriage :) Totally new to me & we've attended many weddings over the years! Stacy officiated our wedding on July 3, 2010, and she was easy to work with, flexible, affordable, and friendly. She was great about communicating with us, and when we needed to get married prior to the wedding (insurance reasons), she was great about making time for us quickly and doing a very short ceremony to make it "official."

If you want a fun, memorable, nontraditional wedding, Stacy is the right officiate (although I suppose she can do traditional too!). I had originally developed a ceremony because a friend was originally going to officiate for us, and Stacy was great about working with the ceremony I'd developed (even the weird additions I made) and helping to develop the ceremony into something better. I felt terrible initially because when we first met with her, she handed us a ceremony that she had developed and I was like, "Oops, here's ours." She was completely flexible about going "outside the box" with our ceremony. She even researched other creative ritual ideas that were awesome- we ended up not using them (just because we didn't want to have to find the additional supplies), but if you have her officiate your wedding you should check out some of the ideas she came up with. They were unique and meaningful. Stacy helped make our ceremony "ours" and nothing that anyone else can recreate, which made it special for me. My husband loved that Stacy and I worked together to keep the wedding short! Even our ultra conservative relatives said they enjoyed the ceremony, despite their issue with us not going with a traditional Catholic indoor/church wedding.

We met Stacy through our DJ, Jason Canaan, who is her husband. This was great, partially because it was helpful to have them working as a team through the process and it cut down on the amount of travel time to see vendors, and partially just because we absolutely loved both of them. :)
