Cheryl did the cakes, lemon bars, and brownies for the dessert bar at my wedding, and boy, did my guests love them all! Most guests were surprised how tasty the cake was, as they all said that wedding cake is normally dry, crumbling, and blah. Instead, our chocolate/chocolate with fleur de sel and vanilla w/fresh fruit cakes were moist and stunningly flavorful.If you special order cakes/baked goods through Pinkie's, do confirm everything (really, everything, from approx. real slices per item, requirements regarding changes to, or reducing, order, and delivery date and confirmation of delivery method) in writing ahead of time with Cheryl (it used to be someone else who just wasn't on top of things like they should have been). And also confirm how many people each item will feed. I had a huge sheet cake left over afterward!

This bakery is finger-licking-good! (Or whatever the equivalent should be for baked goods). Cheryl Burr, the owner, is as sweet as her cakes and a pleasure to talk to. She doesn't have a storefront and works mostly making special occasion cakes and pastries, but if you have a special occasion that calls for a yummylicious cake, Cheryl is your gal! I highly recommend her chocolate cake, it's to die for! I got married April 18, 2009. Cheryl and Pinkie's bakery DELIVERED as expected. No, beyond expectations! Her presentation cake was gorgeous and EXACTLY what I asked her to do. Our 3 flavors of cake were even better than during our tasting and everybody loved them. The cake was so good, we had none left to take home with us. NONE! (and we ordered cake for 150 ppl when there were only 113 present at the reception). If you need a cake, get it from Cheryl. It's worth every penny. BTW, I saw she started selling her delights at Rainbow Grocery. We bought some of her carrot cake and it was delish.
