Reservation Information
We want to make your special occasion a beautiful memory that will last a lifetime. We have guidelines in place for making your event run smoothly with our service as a part of it. We put the well-being of our horses and your safety as our highest priority.

Carriage Travel Information
It takes approximately 15 minutes to travel 1 mile by carriage. Please bear this in mind when you are thinking about how to incorporate our carriage into your event. We will have the carriage travel a maximum of 3 miles before the horse will need to take a rest. If the distance you need to travel is longer than this for your event, we will be happy to meet you at a closer site to your event so that the ride may continue as planned.

We prefer to keep to roads that are 35mph and under. Anything else requires a police escort for the safety of our passengers and horses. It is also a nicer ride for our passengers on quieter streets. The distraction of traffic is made minimal by this.

The speed of the horse is kept at a leisurely walk with the occasional trot. Our horses are carefully conditioned to the hard surface of the road but it is healthiest for them to go no faster than a trot on this hard surface. Besides, you want to enjoy the romantic moments of the ride.



F.A.Q.'s

Do you decorate the carriage?
Yes, we do decorate the carriage. Please tell me the color theme of your event and I will coordinate something with the carriage. We use silk flowers and lovely fabrics in most colors. The horses also can be decorated with flowers in their manes and tail or braiding. If you would like to be more involved in decorating, I appreciate your input and have many ideas. Anything additional like fresh flowers will be at your own cost.

Are you available for photography sessions?
Yes, you will have our full cooperation for any photography. The horses are very photogenic and enjoy every minute of the extra attention. We are also available to go to photography studios for photo shoots prior or after your event, just ask. We love photos and if you have any of your event that you would like to share with us on our website, please contact us. We do like to post pictures of each of our rides but if you prefer not to be included on our website, please let us know.

What is your policy on paying for an event?
We require a $100 deposit to hold the date that you need for your event. This deposit is non-refundable. We also require that the balance be paid in full 2 weeks prior to your event.

How do the horse and carriage get to an event?
The horses and carriage have their own trailer that is sized just right for them. It is a roomy seven feet wide and seven feet tall with eighteen feet on the floor. Two horses and the carriage can travel in it comfortably.

When do I need to schedule with you?
To be sure that you get the date that you need us for, please book your event at least two months prior to the date. If your event is within that two month period, you can still check with us to see if we have had a cancellation.

What area do you service?
We service northeast Florida, which includes all of Jacksonville, Gainesville, Daytona, Lake City and surrounding areas. Travel within 40 miles of our location in Middleburg, FL is included with your service. Anything over 40 miles is available for a charge of $1.50 a mile.

Are the horses messy?
The horses are very clean animals and recieve a thorough bath before embarking to your event. They wear a horse diaper called a Bun Bag, which is discreetly kept under their tail. The bag opens when they lift their tail to defecate and closes when they lower it. This keeps the smell and sight of manure away from your event.

What happens in the case of rain or a cancellation?
We do have a top for the carriage and can handle rain. In the case of severe weather like lightning, heavy rain or high winds, we will cancel our service. Again the safety of our passengers and our horses is our main concern. You will recieve a full refund if we have to cancel due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. If you need to cancel our service, you will recieve a refund minus your non-refundable deposit.

Can the horse travel on the road like a car?
Yes, the horse and carriage has the same rights as a car to be on the road. The only requirement is a slow-moving vehicle sign on the rear of the carriage, which we provide. The carriage is also equipped with lights for safety of night-time travel.

When does my time start?
Your time starts when the carriage arrives to pick you up at your event.

Does the carriage have a top?
Yes, the carriage does have a top for shade, shelter from rainy weather and those romantic moments.

What about gratuities?
We do accept gratuities but they are not required. The best tip that you can give to us is to kiss our horse and share your good experience with your friends and family.
