I wouldn't consider myself an "anti-bride" but at the same time, I wasn't the type to imagine my wedding day as a child. I'm not a "girly" girl and while I approach these things with a game plan, I do get easily overwhelmed. That said, I couldn't be more happy with my choice to go to Pizazz for my wedding dress.There are a couple of reasons why I chose to go there:1.) They carry 5 of the designers that I was interested in -- Pronovias, Casablanca, Maggie Sottero, Sottero & Midgley, and Mori Lee (This was more than any other store)2.) Their website showed what was "in-stock" so I knew exactly what I could try on 3.) They list their prices on their website -- who does that nowadays?When I was ready, I called their store. To be honest, I was a little put off when I got an answering machine. I left a message but also sent an email -- just in case, anxious bride syndrome, I guess :). Brenda got back to me the next day and apologized. She explained that it's just her and her assistant and it's a busy season for proms and whatnot. Understandable. We scheduled the appointment when it was convenient for me and my party. We showed up yesterday, entered the cozy boutique and got started. Bethany (Brenda's assistant) took the lead. I had a bunch of pictures that I had printed straight from their website. Bethany began pulling the dresses I had listed. She also pulled a dress that wasn't on my list because she was attentive to the styles I liked and what I said I needed. I'm usually a very self conscious individual but I felt very comfortable here. We tried on a handful of gowns, including my favorite, the Pronovias Gomera, but at the end of the day, I ended up saying "YES!!!" to the one dress that Bethany had picked out for me -- a brand new 2012 Maggie Sottero.I couldn't believe how easy this was and how affordable it ended up being. I was honestly ready to spend 4 times what I did. There wasn't any pressure and they were considerate enough to make sure I wasn't overwhelmed throughout the appointment. I didn't think I would do it, but I cried when I knew that I was wearing my wedding gown. And it was all thanks to Bethany. This isn't Kleinfeld's or any other glitzy "salon." It is, by definition, a boutique. And while quaint, it is well stocked and it had the personal attention I was looking for. The only downside is that they don't do alterations.I walked out of their doors with my dress in hand. It is PERFECT.Thank you again, Bethany and Brenda.

My bridesmaids purchased their dresses from here as they are one of the few shops in Maryland that carry the Barri Jay line. Overall everything went well. Brenda the owner is a nice lady and I really enjoyed being helped by Bethany! She was great - super friendly!
I searched and searched for a certain Maggie Sottero Destinations dress and I couldn't find it anywhere. Finally, I stumbled across Pizazz's website and it said that they could order the dress. I made an appointment and met with Brenda. She's very friendly and knows what shes doing. Brenda had me try on a very similiar dress to see how I liked it. It was great, so I ordered the original dress that day. I'll add another review once the dress comes in!

Beautiful dress, best price in the tri-state area, wonderful to customer response and questions and helpful. The hours are tight and since it's only one person running the shop, it can be less flexible when you are working but make an appointment and everything is perfect.

The personal touch that you get at Pizazz is second to none. When I walked in I was greated with a huge hug and smile. I found my perfect dress in one stop and found my bridesmaides dresses there as well. Pizazz was also able to alter all of my bridesmaids dresses, my dress was a hard dress to alter so Pizazz reached out for another seamstress to make sure my dress was done perfectly and it was. I also purchased my veil from Pizazz and it went perfectly with my dress.

While I was completely satisfied with my dress, Iwas somewhat dissapointed in the amount of time and feedback I got once I ordered my dress. I ordered my dress in mid may and received it in December, my mom did not get hers until april. This caused undue stress for her. The selection was wonderful and you do get one on one service while trying on the dresses, it is just after the order and payment that I was dissatisfied.

Sometimes I get 200+ emails a day and I do try to go through them but occasionally there are so many I do not see all my customers emails. I try to first delete all the junk so I can get to a cusotmers email. But I did answer all your emails, and you did send a lot of emails as I remember. I checked your mothers order and you came in extremely late for your mother's dress. I am sorry that you were not extremely happy in the end. I do work very hard for every customer to give you a great result. My goal is to make every bride feel special and very happy that they chose PIZAZZ! out of all the other shops they could have chosen. I purchased some accessories here and was very happy with them. Pizazz is a little pricey, but everything is of a very high quality and the lady who helped me was very nice.

Pizazz is great because I was able to buy my wedding dress, my invitations, and other stationary all in the same place and they offered me incredible value for the cost. Definitely recommend.

I had a major problem with my dress. When I was ordering a brand new dress the lenghth was not measured correctly, so it came in too short. I had to pay for expensive extra material and for seamstress to get it fixed. Also, the bustle was sewed on so lightely that it ripped during the reception. Overall I am satisfied with the dress, but I was not too happy with the service.

Monika, As you know, your Mori Lee Dress only came in 3 lengths from the factory. I could order it in 55", 58" or 61". You were in between the 55" 58" with high heels. You thought 55" would be fine because 58" would still be too long with your heels. You said you would adjust your shoe height to match the dress, but in the end you still chose too high a heel. I enjoyed working with you and I am sorry you were not pleased. Thank you for sending your pictures, we loved seeing you in your beautiful gown and your husband. God Bless you in your marriage.

Brenda,She is very nice to work with and very accomadating. During the Wedding Planning process things can get very hectic and she was very patient with me and was very flexible with scheduling appointments. She and her tailor were very fun and were true professionals with plenty of experience, which was comforting. Overall a great experience.

DO NOT go to Pizazz for anything wedding related. The owner, is never on time or open for that matter. She is very unprofessional. She will not listen to you, and will do whatever she feels best. She is not organized, and therefore loses everything(dresses, orders, or forgets to place an order). She is very confused at all times, and lies about everything to make it look as though she is never wrong. Terrible experience!!! The worst thing is she was excellent the first time I met her. Then after she had my business, and my entire wedding party, parents, flower girl, and invitations (which she ordered with the wrong date printed on them!!!) She acted completely different. She does not care about you!!!! She is only concerned with the money, and once you have paid her- WATCH OUT!!!

Elizabeth,I am very disappointed in your comments. I bend over backwards with every one of my customers including you and your girls, and I can not believe that you feel this way about your experience at my store. The only problem was that one of your bridesmaids dresses was left at the vendor's factory by accident. That has never happened in the almost 10 years I have had my store, and completely beyond my control. You were in my store when I called the vendor to find out what happened, so you heard exactly what happened to that dress. (my invoice said it was suppose to be in the box.) The vendor said it would be sent to my store as soon as it arrived to them from the factory. I even paid 2 day air to get the dress here faster for your bridesmaid.One of your other bridesmaid waited till the last minute to pick up her dress, and I even paid toward her alterations which was totally not my responsibility.And your invitations were exactly how you wanted them. I even second guessed myself after reading your comments and called Carlson Craft Invitations, because as far as I knew, I hadn't made an error in any of my customers, and they assured me there were no redos, so I really do not understand. Your comments are slanderous.The integrity of your comments are completely untrue, dishonest, and false.

The owner and staff at Pizazz treated me like family. Prices were very reasonable, and service was top flight!
My sister chose Pizzaz to get her bridesmaids dresses for her wedding. As the maid of honor, I worked firsthand with the dress owner, as well as the seamstress in charge of alterations for the shop.
Our experience started off well. While we were pleased with the selection, and the interaction we had with the owner (who did our fittings herself), it did not end well. It seemed that after we had paid, they no longer cared about the service they were providing.
Four bridesmaids dresses were purchased, sizes suggested by the owner at our fitting. All of the dresses needed alterations of course, as can be expected. Unfortunately, our dresses, with a supposed deliver of 8 weeks, actually took 12 weeks to come in, leaving us with two weeks to get our alterations. But the owner assured us there would be no problem getting them all done in time, and would charge $10 an hour.
The seamstress did one dress for the price stated, and then as she was measuring a bridesmaid for her alterations, stood up and announced she was not going to be able to do that dress or the other two, becuase it would take too long! she referred us to a woman in the area who did alterations, although she did not speak English, and charged $40 an hour!
I visited the shop, and complained to the owner, and the seamstress came in to defend herself. She admitted to me and another bridesmaid, that another bridal party had lost weight, and all needed their alterations done again, and even though they did not have appointments, as we did, she needed to take care of them, because they had made a larger purchase! The owner only defended her, saying her mood was due to her being sick.
So not only did she not do our alterations, but she pushed us aside to help a last minute, bigger commission party.
Needless to say, we did not get our alterations done there, and actually not at all due to the lack of time we had left. We ended up using hemming tape, and doing the alterations ourselves! Thank goodness they were not too major and no one could tell.

Pizazz was an amazing experience for me and my bridal party!! Pizazz provided beautiful dresses for my flower girls, bridesmaids and myself. Pizazz was dedicated to me as the bride...and very open to the entire wedding party coming in for private fittings. Pizazz gave the best price and searched everywhere until she found the dress that I wanted for my bridesmaids! I highly recomend Pizazz to all my friends especially since many of them are all starting to get married!
