Everyone at the Platinum was very nice, and I would have my wedding there again in a heartbeat. The AIP was great for a bride among a destination wedding - they set me up with great vendors. The wait and bar staff at the Platinum are top notch - Oscar and his team were very helpful. Our wedding coordinator was helpful but sometimes I wouldn't hear from her for weeks after I sent at email. She also was MIA for most of the night during the reception - but was really helpful in coordinating the ceremony. My wedding band was lost/stolen and no one from the hotel helped. Kind of left a sour taste in my mouth honestly.

We stayed here for 3 nights during the wedding. We wanted to have enough room for everyone to come over after dinner and cut the cake/hang out. We went with the mid size suite and had 20 guests in it, it was about 1200 sf. Having the full kitchen and balcony was a nice touch. We upgraded to a strip view room and everyone enjoyed the view! I had room to decorate and lay everything out, so nice. I ordered room service breakfast the morning of and it was delicious! We didn't eat there besides the breakfast. The entire staff was so nice and helpful. It was really close to Battista's, we even walked from there. Pretty close to the strip as well. My husband was really happy with the room, he couldn't believe that we got so nice of a room for such a good deal! I would for sure stay there again.

This hotel was perfect for our destination wedding. Our guests were able to stay in the same hotel as the wedding and for a very reasonable rate. I received many compliments on the rooms, the food at the hotel, and service. I would definately stay at this hotel again. I worked with Jamie for the wedding planning part and she was great, she was very helpful and responded promptly to any questions I had. Our wedding was in the Misora room and the view on the roof was absolutely amazing!! A main reason I liked the Platinum was for their wedding packages, it included all the vendors which made planning from another state a lot easier!

I used the all inclusive package The Platinum provides for my wedding and it was an effortless, fun process and with beautiful end results. The Platinum Hotel provided my family, fiance and I with first class service from start to finish and the vendors they use are first rate as well. I am SO glad I had my wedding here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect wedding location and service.

I got married on 10/19/12 and our Event Manager, Miya Williams was wonderful. Miya went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day was PERFECT! No task or request was too big for Miya and her colleagues at the Platinum. Miya made planning a wedding in Vegas from DC a stress-free and positive experience as she responded to all of my emails and phone calls promptly. All of my guests were pleasantly surprised with my Vegas wedding. The Platinum Hotel is your venue if you are looking for a beautiful venue, excellent service, and the wedding experience of your dreams.

We worked with Miya at the Platinum hotel as our wedding coordinator, and she was fabulous every step of the way, from the months of planning, to the rehearsal, to the day and night of our wedding! Miya is so on top of everything, organized, friendly, and definitely went out of her way to make our day absolutely amazing! The rest of the Platinum staff were also great and ensured that things ran smoothly. The venue itself is beautiful, the food was great, and everybody was helpful and friendly.at the Platinum you get to be close enough to the action of the strip, with a great view, yet tucked back enough to give you a great private venue for your event that is uniquely yours. Our guests loved the big luxurious suites at the Platinum as well. I would definitely recommend the Platinum and wouldn't have changed a thing about our wedding - it was perfect!

Miya Williams and the rest of the staff at the Platinum Hotel were nothing short of fantastic. From the very start, I had 100% confidence in Miya's professionalism and attention to detail to make our wedding perfect. As a bride planning a wedding from a long distance, Miya helped make every bit of the planning easy. She provided recommendations for all of our needs -- music, bakery, photography, etc. -- and she coordinated with every one of them herself on the day of the wedding so that I didn't have to worry about a thing. Our wedding was held at the Misora at the Platinum Hotel, and we received so many compliments about the venue, the food and the staff. Our guests also very much enjoyed staying at the Platinum, as well. If you are considering a wedding in Las Vegas, I highly recommend Miya Williams and The Platinum Hotel for an unforgettable event!

I know it seems an easy eval to just throw 5's out there - but really, all the staff at Platinum went beyond all our expectations. They responded immediately to every little request, the food was amazing, the staff added details to accentuate my own details without me knowing - like making signs for the food stations to match the menus I sent down - the space far exceeded every guests expectations - when i asked my sister in law what she thought about this vegas wedding, she said she would never have expected to see such a classy and fun affair. The best decision we made was to book Platinum, bar none. Worth every penny and then some.

The Platinum was the perfect place for our wedding. The staff were incredible, the food fantastic, and the views from the Misora rooftop deck were amazing. From start to finish, I could not have been more pleased with the Platinum, particularly Jamie Maldalena, our wedding planner. Planning a wedding from a distance can be challenging, but Jamie was quick to respond to all of my questions - sometimes within minutes of me emailing her. She really went above and beyond what you would expect - from buying my fiance and I lunch at the hotel's restaurant when we met with her a month before to finalize details, to bringing mimosas to the room while we were getting ready, to finding a hammer the day of the wedding so we could do our wine box ceremony. You can really tell when someone is passionate about what they do, and Jamie certainly is. In addition, the concierge, Gita, was a great asset. She sent us babysitter information a few months before, found someone to steam my dress the day before, and found a notary the day after. As for the wedding itself, we really couldn't have asked for anything more. I mentioned to a friend when we returned that I don't think we had a single snag - at least not one the amazing staff at the Platinum let us know about. Highly recommend. Really don't think you could find a better location or service for the money.

I cannot imagine my wedding anywhere else. I was one of the many brides ripped off by Griffin Mansion this year and after crying for what seemed like forever over my ruined wedding. I got back out there and started looking at other places to get married because we had 40 people from MN flying out to Vegas to watch us get married it's not like we could pick another date! Platinum got back to me right away with and I had to decline them at first and I told Jamie my issue that just happened with Griffin and she jumped at the chance to help us. I am not kidding you I went from dred to finding a new place to get hitched to excitment in a matter of an hour!!! I was finally excited to have my wedding again!! Jamie and Miya were nothing but amazing with EVERYTHING they were quick to respond to emails and Miya even held my bouquet that I had sent out there in her office for a week before I could get there! They were awesome and after the nightmare with Griffin it's like the Platinum was totally ment to be and it was perfect everyone LOVED the food and the view!!! I jump at the chance to tell anyone that wants to get married in Vegas to get married there! OH and not to mention the rooms there are AMAZING as well!!!!!! Thank you Platinum hotel and everyone there for the amazing wedding!!!!!!

Miya made sure everything was just right!!! The food was presented beautifully and delicious...and the ceremony was simply beautiful!!! We highly recommend The Platinum Hotel...and their preferred Vendors...oh, the pool deck view was awesome...The Las Vegas Skyline view was breathtaking!!! The venue was perfect for what we wanted. It's unfortunate that the service was horrible during our stay at the hotel and for my wedding. The service was so slow that it caused my whole timeline was off. I had to pay extra for some of my vendors to stay late because of the poor service. They did offer to comp some of the vendor fees since it was their fault. The planning from afar was so great and leading up to the event it was wonderful working with everyone. Nothing beats the view from the Misora room so I can't say I regret choosing them for my location!

It was absolutely perfect! Miya was amazing the entire way through. She was attentive, quick to respond on emails, and assisted me with so much! Her staff was on top of it all, we didn't have any complaints what so ever and received nothing but compliments from our friends and family. If I had the chance to do it all over again i would and I wouldn't change one single thing!

When our original wedding venue fell through in January of this year, we were absolutely distraught at the thought of having to search for another wedding venue which would meet our requirement or an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception with outdoor dancing area. Anyway, after reading reviews on here, we were quickly pointed in the direction of the Platinum Hotel.

Having looked over the website and read numerous reveiws, we knew this was the perfect location for our ceremony and reception and we only wished we had found this hotel earlier.

From our initial inquiry with Nicole Mehlhaff in February through to our wedding on the 10th September 2012, every single aspect of the planning has been effortless and that is thanks to Miya Williams and her team. It was particularly stressful planning our wedding from the UK and I was nervous having never seen the hotel in person but Miya helped me every step of the way and promptly answered every single one of my hundreds of questions, putting my completely at ease.

The venue istself was simply stunning and the service, food and bar was incredible. All of our guests said that it was the best wedding they have ever been to.

Our wedding was held in the Misora Room and we had 22 people in our party. The room was the perfect size and it really was the perfect location for an intimate wedding and then of course dancing the night away outside under the stars of Las Vegas.

This venue deserves every accolade they receive.

Our wedding was flawless and effortless thanks to the staff of Platinum Hotel and Spa! Nathan Anderson and Steve Owens made booking rooms for our guest easy and Jamie our event coordinator was a true blessing! She made the planning effortless and kept me from stressing about anything! She is the best at what she does. Our wedding was on the rooftop and she made sure every detail was perfect to what we wanted. She was even patient with us to wait for the sun to set just a little so we could have our kiss the bride moment at sunset. Platinum Hotel rooftop and misora room is hands down the best place in Vegas to get married!

We had our wedding with 80 guests at kilawat/pool. I worked with Jamie Madalena and she was truly a lifesaver. Planning a destination wedding can be stressful, but with Jamie and platinum staffs help it was easy and fun! Always same day response to my millions of emails, and always with the answer I wanted to hear. Jamie and the staff went out of their way for mysrlf and family. Our wedding was goregous and I didn't have to do a thing. Food was better than average , fully stocked bar, great setup. I didn't have one complaint about out wedding day and guests are still raving about how wonderful our wedding was. It's a great classy location with an amazing view of Vegas in the background. We felt it was a great $$ value as well! The hotel and rooms themselves are so nice too, huge with everything you need and a closr walk to the strip. The rooms are apartment style, perfect for gathering in-getting ready, bachlorette party or just hanging out with family/friends.Book the Platinum, you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend!

Overall my event at the Platinum Hotel was beautiful. I would however have allocated more funds towards food and less for the bar. The food was absolutely amazing. The decorations, venue, food, fireworks and DJ Klassick was all top notch. A night that I will always remember.

Would recommend this to anyone. They made this day the best day of our lives. Beyond exceeded any expectations that I had. The venue was amazing, the food was to die for and the staff were exceptional. Would not have had it any other way and we will be renewing our vows here in the future!!!!

Our wedding at The Platinum Hotel was Perfect!!!! (and I never use the word perfect!) The Misora was absolutley beautiful and decorated to perfection, the food was awesome, but most importantly the staff was amazing!!! Miya, our wedding coordinator, made our day perfect! She was on top of everything and all we had to do was show up! We are forever grateful for Miya! Also the Platinum staff: Alejandra, Josh, Nate, and Pedro were great! Our vendors were just as amazing as well, the officiant was awesome (Pastor Pete), the cake was gorgeous and delicious (Kathy Rude), the DJ was on it (LeLand, DJ Boogie), the photographer was the bomb (Ron Miller), the videographer was great (Memory Lane), and the florist was very talented (Roxi Floral). We couldn't have imagined it was going to be THIS amazing! Thank you Platinum!

Our wedding was absolutely amazing. Miya did a fabulous job to make sure everything went off without a hitch. The food, decor, venue, drinks, and entire process was an absolute breeze. The only thing we wished was that would could have had the venue after midnight which was unfortunately not available. My other concern would be for guests staying on the same floor as Misora. We had an amazing group of and things got loud, the guests on that floor complained and we were asked to keep it down, an absolute impossibility at our reception! Everything that Miya did was beond our expectations, if we lived in Vegas we would definitely have future events taken care of by her.

Miya was amazing to deal with and she made our day beyond perfect. Our only complaint (and this has nothing to do with Miya at all!!!) was that our reception was shut down early due to noise complaints from guests staying on the same floor as our wedding reception was happening. We feel this is poor planning on behalf of the hotel, not us and unfortunately we suffered the consequences. We also would have hoped our event could have gone past midnight which was not available. Everything that Miya helped with went off without a hitch, she was an absolute star and we would definitely refer people to her.

This is THE venue. Classy and elegant. Everyone made our wedding day an event to remember.

This place was incredible. Many of our guests raved that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. All of the hotel staff was amazing, and I will never stay anywhere else in Vegas again.
Jamie, the wedding coordinator was amazing. She made sure the wedding went perfect and did a wonderful job. She was quick to respond and made the whole experience very low-stress for me. The ceremony and reception spaces looked more beautiful then I could have imagined. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing.

We recently had our wedding there and we chose the all inclusive. We could not have been more pleased. Miya handled everything for us and she was a dream to work with. Everyone that works there that we came in contact with; was so helpful and friendly. Keep up the good work....

We recently had our wedding at the Platinum Hotel and it was AMAZING! I would recommend them to absolutely anyone looking to get married in Las Vegas. We received so many compliments from all of our guest (45 total). We chose to do the all inclusive package of ceremony and 4 hour reception which consisted of: officiant, videographer, photographer, florist, DJ, cocktail/hors d'oeuvres hour, buffet dinner, and open bar. The food was amazing, the view from Misora was stunning (especially at night), the staff was unbelievably helpful, the all inclusive package was so stress free, Oscar the bartender was amazing, Alejandra was so polite and made sure everything was perfect during dinner and sent my bouquet & left over favors back to our room when it ended, and Jamie collected my favors before and put them at everyones place settings as well as she let me ship stuff to her for the ceremony and she set it out for us.


I was originally working with Marie, then Miya, then Jamie. All of them were so helpful, but Jamie went above and beyond anything that I ever expected. She was so amazing, helpful, quickly responsive, and made sure everything was perfect. Our wedding was on a Thursday, and then there were weddings on Friday and Saturday but I would have never known that if it weren't for a sign in the lobby. Jamie made it seem like our wedding was the only wedding taking place at The Platinum the entire time. She made us feel like we were so incredibly important from the time we arrived to the time we left. She was in constant contact with me in the days leading up to the wedding to the wedding day itself.


In addition to our wedding, the Platinum Hotel allowed us to host our Meet & Greet (welcome party) in the Kilowat restaurant on the 5th floor the night before. They even closed off the pool area to make it more private. The appetizers were very good, and the spinach dip was getting rave reviews! When we ran out of apps, they asked if we would like more and quickly replaced them with hot and fresh appetizers in minutes. It allowed all of our guest that were not staying at the Platinum to learn where the hotel was, and how long it would take to get there so they would arrive on time the day of the wedding. Many of them took advantage of Stir's Happy Hour on the first floor before & after the meet and greet as well as before the actual wedding. Stir has unbeatable prices for Las Vegas!


The rooms at the Platinum Hotel are HUGE! They are like staying in an apartment while on vacation. A full kitchen, huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and double sinks, private bedroom, full size living room, huge balcony, AND a washer & dryer. This was our first time in Vegas and we both agreed (as well as our guest) that when we come back to Vegas we will be staying here again. It is a 5 minute walk to the strip, but yet so quite and relaxing. We went to a few other hotels where our others guest were staying and it was so loud, confusing to walk through, smoky, and very very hectic! The Platinum is so clean, quite, and extremely easy to find your way in.


Overall, I was so pleased with how everything turned out! I am so excited to watch our ceremony video as well as see all of our pictures. If you are planning a wedding in Las Vegas, I would recommend the Platinum Hotel. EVERYTHING was PERFECT! I wish we could repeat the night...

I have worked with Miya Williams as my wedding planner at the Platinum and had chosen the Misora room and terrace for our ceremony and reception with 40 guests.

Miya is an amazing planner!!! She responded and catered to all my requests and on the day of the wedding her and her team were extremely flexible! We could not be happier to have chosen this venue! The view alone is worth it but the service and support by the Platinum team make this the ultimate wedding choice for Las Vegas.

I would never have made a different choice! You get your ceremony and reception in one place and you have a team of professionals working with you on the planning and on the day of the wedding! They also were amazing to provide us with a room on the same floor as the wedding which made things easier during preparation.

I am amazed! There is NOTHING that I wanted that I didn't get! And for this price, you just have to go with Platinum! Not to mention that they worked really well with the vendors they suggested and in the end everything came together seamlessly!

We were nervous because we had not been to the Platinum before and planned the wedding sight unseen. My fiancee and I checked in late Wednesday night after a long day of traveling from DC for our Friday wedding and as soon we we walked in the door, Lina at the front desk says "Hello, Michele?" without me having to give my name. Everyone that worked there was so accomodating and friendly. I loved how small the hotel was because I ran into friends and family in the lobby constantly and it was easy to get in and out of doing errands as opposed to a large hotel like the Cosmo which is huge and can be a pain getting to and from your room. The valet guys were considerate when parking our car and would leave it out if we had to run right back out doing errands. The suites were large and having a living room was great because my suite became wedding headquarters with all the bridesmaids, my mom and aunt hanging out while the hair and makeup was done.

We did an all inclusive ceremony and reception that included the florist, dj, videographer and photographer. I started initially with Nicole/Marie then they left and I had Miya, who is AWESOME. She answered all of our questions, and was wonderful the day of when my finacee and I were slightly frazzled. The fact that she coordinated with the vendors was a huge stress reliever for us. She brought us plates of food at the reception and had a drink waiting at the table for us. Our fried shrimp appetizer was amazing. The sea bass was good and so were the mashed pototaes but the chicken was a tad dry.

I loved loved loved Chiemi from Chiemi Photography! I was nervous about her because there wasn't much information about her on the knot, where we get a lot of our info but she was amazing. She jumped on chairs, got on the ground, to get the best shot. The few pics that are done look amazing!!!

All Night Long DJ was our dj and provided uplighting. He was great with the music and burnt a cd of all the major reception songs, which was awesome!!!!

Memory Lane Videographer - these guys were good too. Our wedding dvd turned out wonderfully although they did try and upsell us to use more then one camera which we said we didn't need and were fine without.

Roxy Florist - the yellow rose bouquets and red rose/blue hyndrea centerpieces were beautiful!!!

All in all, we were going for a fun, swanky, Vegas wedding and we feel the Platinum totally delivered!!!! The Misora room was so beautiful decked out with the blue uplighting and white linens that make the centerpieces really pop. The view was amazing and honestly the best part of the Platinum. We loved every minute and wouldn't change a thing.

Let me start by saying I am a very hands on, detail oriented (some would say picky) and extremely indecisive person, because of this I'm sure I am not the easiest person to work with. This was my first (and last) wedding or any other type of event that requires this amount of planning, so when I say I asked a LOT of questions it would be a understatement.
From the get go Nicole (the catering manager) was extremely helpful and willing to work with us. We had narrowed our venue hunt down to Platinum and one other non-gaming hotel and Nicole bent over backwords to accomidate our needs and wants where the other venue we were looking at acted as if everything we asked for (which was included in every other venue we had looked at) was twisting their arm. Not to mention we were able to have 80 guests for the same price we would have paid for 48 at the other venue. I cannot say enough good things about Nicole.
Once the contract was signed we were handed over to Miya (the wedding coordinator) who was also great. She didn't seem to get flustered with my never ending questions, and she was very helpful. My husband and I are both local, and it was really important to me to plan out every detail from the tealight holders to the linens and everything inbetween. Miya allowed me to do this, but Platinum would also be great for the bride that wants someone to do it for them. My only complaint would be that during certain moments of the reception she was m.i.a. If it weren't for my photographer walking us thru the cake cutting, bouquet/garter toss we wouldn't have really known what we were supposed to do. I can't say this is all Miyas fault tho because we we're running behind schedule and ended up doing things at a different time then on our planned timeline.
The last person I really delt with was Alejandra. I'm not sure what her title was but she was there for set up and for the entire ceremony and reception. She was amazing. She and Miya let me come up and explain how I wanted everything set up and they really did an amazing job of making all of my planning come to life.
Honestly every single person we delt with at Platinum from the valet to the management was extremely helpful and polite. Whoever is in charge over there is doing a phenominal job, and it seems like they have a really great team.
Now, for the details... The food was amazing, we hadn't paid for a tasting so we were both plesently suprised. The bartender at our reception was great, she made sure Nathan and I were always taken care of. One thing that didn't really sit well with me is that 20% gratuity was included in our bar tab, and she still had a tip jar out. I think the 20% should have been enough. Our suite was great, they upgraded us and it was just beautiful. They really did a great job of listening to what I wanted, and Misora looked beautiful when they finished setting it up. One thing I noticed is they never set up the side of the terrace that we didn't use for the ceremony. We took our pictures on that side of the terrace, so they weren't able to do it before hand but I thought they might set it up once we were finished up. The tables and chairs were just kind of scattered around, but really wasn't a huge deal because most of our reception took place on the opposite side. We did have one card (with cash in it) that a guest left on their table instead of putting it in the card box which we never ended up recieving. I cannot say what exactly happened to it, but I would like to think it just somehow got misplaced and hope that it was the only one. At times a few emails had to be sent before I got answers, but like I said before I asked so many questions and I understand they are very busy as they do a lot of weddings. Both local and out of town guests were blown away by the view of the strip from the terrace, and the fact that it is something different. Last but not least, it is amazing that Platinum gives you the choice of an all inclusive or bringing in your own vendors.
My husband and I couldn't be happier with our choice to use Platinum for our ceremony and reception venue. They made planning a wedding a really fun experience and I really can't say enough good things about the entire staff at Platinum! I would recommend this venue...

We used the Platinum for our reception based on a recommendation from a friend. The value was unbelievable and the view from the Misora room was incredible. We were able to get most of the plans sorted out during our menu tasting. Jamie was great to work with. She was very responsive. We shipped her our recpetion name cards, table decorations, champagne flutes, and serving utensil ahead of time and she set everything up for us the day of our reception. She also contacted our vendors and told them where and when to arrive. We were really happy that she was present during the reception. They saved appetizers for us (we arrived later than the guests) and at the end of the night we got a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! We didn't even know they were included. Jamie even brought me a drink in the bathroom when we first arrived! We were able to get signature drinks without an additional charge with the open bar. Everything was so great, I wish we could do it all over again!

My husband and I got married at the Platinum Hotel on April 21, 2012. We were so impressed with the Platinum and all of their staff. Everyone went out of there way to ensure our special day went smoothly. Miya was our wedding coordinator and we couldn't have been happier with anyone else! We can't thank her enough for her hard work, long emails, phone calls, and extreme patience. Because my husband and I live on the other side of the U.S., it was only natural that we initially felt a little nervous about planning a wedding thousands of miles away. However, Miya ensured to keep in constant contact with us. She made sure to send us detailed outlines of everything for our wedding day. She even showed up hours before our wedding to set everything up! It looked so amazing after everything was set up; just like we hoped for! Miya made the planning process so easy! At the end of it all, it was so worth every dime we spent!!! From the cleanness to wonderful hospitality, our family and friends were so impressed! The only downfall we encountered was problems with the microphone and the DJ. However, it didn't take long before the Platinum Hotel Staff jumped in and fixed the problem. They ensured that we were satisfied with the end result. We will always remember this special evening with the views of the Las Vegas Strip and spending time with family and friends who traveled from all over the world to celebrate with us!!! It was truly a memorable evening at the most perfect venue!

We were so pleased with the service and staff at the platinum hotel. Leading up to the wedding day I received immediate responses to all my questions. and always felt that I was in good hands The catering department also helped us to build a custom menu for our guests and we received multiple comments about the great food!

Platinum Hotel offered a picturesque venue for our wedding. With the beautiful Vegas skyline at night as our backdrop we could not go wrong. We celebrated in the Misora room and it was perfect for roughly twenty-five people. We easily could have fit more if needed. The food was absolutely delicious too! Platinum offered a wonderful package and worked with us on everything we wanted/did not want. There were a few hiccups with the wedding coordinator but overall everything turned out "happily ever after." Thanks Platinum for providing a beautiful backdrop on our wedding day.

I recently held my wedding ceremony and reception on their rooftop terrace and it was AMAZING! The back drop of the Strip is so beautiful but the service is what really counted for me! The banquest staff was really on top of it and made everything successful. Alejandra our banquet captain for the evening took care of every little detail as if were her party and she made sure we felt comfortable and made sure everything was perfect. Oscar our bartender was on top of it.... let's just say we never stopped drinking and he managed the flow perfectly! Miya, Josh & Nicole were also excellent in executing the details before we arrived. The food was also very good and the staff helped ensure we stayed full! Thank you Platinum for an awesome wedding!

I could probably write 10 pages on how good the Platinum and every single employee there was so good to me and my friends and family during our entire wedding experience -- from booking the hotel block and the ceremony/reception space to checking out. I am so thankful that they made my wedding day and my entire vacation as close to perfect as it could get.
It took me almost 6 months to find a venue once I'd decided to have a destination wedding in Las Vegas for 50-70 people (we ended up at 65). I knew the criteria I was looking for -- something that was well priced for both myself and my husband as well as my guests who would feel an obligation to stay where the wedding was being held. I also did not want to get married in a chapel down the hall from a Taco Bell (yes there is a place like that). But most importantly, I wanted it to be cool and reflect Vegas - no point in dragging people across the country to get married in a place that I could copy/paste from my hometown. The Platinum is the perfect union of all three criteria.
However, as we all know, something that looks perfect on paper isn't always....but this really is! From my first points of contact with Nathan and Nicole who were so knowledgeable and helpful and responsive!!!! to getting into the nitty gritty details with Marie (the planner), Gita (the concierge extrordinaire), and Steve (reservations manager) everyone was in lock-step. I planned all of this from a distance, so details could have easily gotten lost in translation, but they didn't. Everyone was such a professional and just so good at they're jobs that my friends and family thought I'd been to the venue several times (nope, all from my living room).
So right about now, you're thinking - something must have gone wrong. Well, about 2 weeks before the wedding, Marie (the planner) left the hotel and Miya stepped in. While this could have been a disaster, it wasn't. Miya picked up right where Marie left off as if I'd been working with her the whole time. And in the days leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day itself she was so amazing and helpful from all the stuff I shipped to the hotel ahead of the wedding (decor mostly) to leaving us some food and drinks in the room for when we got back from the reception (cause you never get to eat at your own wedding). The reception venue itself (we used the Misora rooftop) is pretty amazing. Our pictures are of us and the entire strip behind us...and the pics they use on their website are very true to life, which I found not to be the case at other places in Vegas. The food was delicious -- and my husband is a chef so he was sure to at least taste all of it. But other than that we got so many compliments that the food wasn't standard wedding fare, which made us feel really good. The bartender was also excellent and had a lot of people's drinks in his head by the middle of the event :) Alejandra is the manager in this area and did the most wonderful job making sure I was taken care of and that I got some food and drink (not that I was able to get a lot -- pulled in so many directions).
The rooms are to die for!!! ~900 sq feet is the smallest one!!! That's twice the size of my first apartment :) All of the rooms have jacuzzi tubs, which is such a treat after a long day -- even not your wedding day. Our room had a view of the strip which is gorgeous, but some of my other friends/family staying there had views of the mountains or of the pool. Every single person who stayed there was beyond impressed and my husband wants to buy one now :) My father in law, who travels as part of his job says it's the 2nd nicest hotel room he's ever stayed in and the first was $600 a night -- the Platinum was hands down the better value! My mother, who chose to stay in another hotel called me to complain that it took her 2.5 hours to check in there because of the lines and that the first 3 rooms smelled to much like smoke. I promptly told her this was why I chose the Platinum. Not to say there won't ever be a line at check-in, but they are properly staffed to minimize any wait AND the rooms never smell like smoke b/c it's a non smoking hotel. It's also very nice (especially for my mother in law who is disabled) not to have to walk a mile through a casino to get to an elevator to get to your room.
Before I wrap this up, I do need to mention the incredible service once you're at the hotel. In a few short days, the concierge (Gita) found a place that would press and steam my dress (which was wrinkled during travel), got us tickets to LOVE, reservations at Craftsteak, and on the list for Chateau (we were lucky and she got us in free too). She knows the people and the places to go! The front desk staff was amazing -- and got my welcome bags out to my guests at check-in without a hitch. And the valets were also incredibly nice since I kept losing my valet cards (I wouldn't recommend this - but I had a bad case of bridal brain).
Overall, I could not have pulled off such an amazing event without the people at the Platinum. They make it look easy -- and I know that I am not always the easiest person to work with. It's been almost a month now, and people are still talking about how it was the best wedding they've ever been to, and some of them are people who originally complained about having to travel anywhere for a wedding (yes, you guessed it...family). I'm looking forward to planning my 5 year renewal at the Platinum :) and I know where I'm staying when I go to Las Vegas from now on!!!

From the moment we started looking for a venue, Nicole was more than helpful. After deciding the Platinum was right for our 'wedding vision', the service we received was above and beyond what we expected. Nicole and Marie were very helpful in sourcing out linens & decor as we were planning all the way from Alberta. They gave us a list of preferred vendors - we used several of them! We also spent the week of the wedding at the Platinum - we were totally blown away with the level of service that we received from each and every staff member we encountered. Thanks to all the staff for the greatest day of our lives!

I wanted the lights of Vegas behind me as i said my "i do's" - and the Platinum's Misora Terrace gave me just that. it was beatiful.
BUT - there are so many reasons, i cannot in good faith recommend this venue to any other bride.
so many details for an outside, night time wedding in November were unattended to.
the food was good - but was never replenished, there was no lighting during my ceremony (my officiant held a flashlight to read through out ceremony), the there were 2 space heaters and neither were placed in functional locations, the speakers thoughout the terrace area were not connected, the main floor to ceiling doors that connect the inside space to the 17th floor roof top terrace were broken (that was the whole reason for booking that venue), the room was not set up correctly even though detailed instructions were given. the wedding planner (who came with the package) was only visable for 15 minutes - then the rest of the night was up to me - i kept everyone on schedule...it's a good thing i am a corporate event planner and know how to run an event - otherwise, this would have been a total disaster - instead it was just stressful and disappointing.

Nicole Mehlhaff was amazing. Very flexible on arrangements, responded quickly to any questions we had, and very professional. Nicole was always one step ahead of us...wonderful to work with.

Our wedding dinner was outstanding, we ordered room service several times and was always warm and within the time stated.

We look forward to many anniversarys at the Platinum hotel.

My wife and I got married October 28th at the Platinum Hotel. We looked at several venues but as soon as we saw the Platinum we were sold. Marie & Nicole at the Platinum Hotel were great to work with. We had several changes in the last few weeks and the people at the Platinum were very accommodating. The food was amazing, the service during the reception was great, and the backdrop of the strip was beautiful. Even the Las Vegas locals were taken back by the view and asked me where I found this place because they loved it so much. All the guests from out of town loved the hotel rooms and the fact that there was no casino in the Platinum and it was no smoking. The Platinum's prices were very reasonable, I felt we got great value for our money. Several of my friends told me that have been to numerous weddings in Vegas and the Platinum was by far the best venue they had been to. I am extremely happy with our decision to use the Platinum and I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

*When my wife was getting ready for the big day her hair clip broke and she called the concierge. Within minutes he was up in her room with a hot glue gun. She needed some olive oil later and called the concierge, again he was up with what she needed in minutes. Everyone at the Platinum was extremely accommodating and made it an unbelievable day.

My husband and I loved every moment of our wedding here. The staff, especially Marie & Nicole, were wonderful to work with. They were always quick to reply to the millions of questions that we asked along the planning process. We loved that we were able to customize so much of our ceremony and reception and make it so unique, a rarity in Vegas.The ability to bring in our own vendors really helped our budget out.
The food at our wedding was the best food I have ever had at any wedding ever! We arranged a tasting about a month before our wedding to finalize the menu. Everything was freshly made and plated (on the wedding day as well. No food sitting in a warming oven all day here!) and they even changed up the sides, because my husband is so picky when it comes to veggies.
We held our ceremony on the 5th floor pool deck. It looked so beautiful with the sun sinking just behing the strip hotels as the ceremony started. For dinner, we moved into Kil@Wat. And after dinner, dancing took place back out on the pool deck. Those that weren't dancing lounged out by the fire pits. People were relaxing out on the couches and daybeds.
The staff was even friendly enough to bring out towels when a few of our guests decided to utilize the pool.
I feel everyone of the staff went above and beyond. Everyone we interacted with from the valet, bell desk, room service, bartenders and servers was so nice throughout our entire trip. Our guests are still talking about how this was the best wedding ever!

We have a beautiful wedding on the rooftop and our reception in the Misora room. Our guests had a wonderful time, the food was excellent and things went smoothly. I would do it all over again if I could with little to no changes. WONDERFUL WEDDING. More than I could have dreamed.

The Platinum definitely deserves a 100% for their hard work making our special day amazing! The staff was incredible, from the valet to the servers at the wedding the service was top notch! As a bride, I thought I would spend much of my wedding day helping prepare the ceremony/reception area for our big event. To the contrary, everything was taken care of & looked amazing! Our friends & family are still (3 weeks later) raving about how good the food was. We went with steak & chicken for everyone & still didn't break the bank. The Platinum also accommodated our guests with dietary restrictions at no extra cost. Looking back, there is absolutely nothing I would change about our wedding, it was truly a dream come true. I can't thank the staff at The Platinum enough for everything they did. I would recommend this facility to anyone considering a Vegas wedding-phenomenal!!!

The rooftop patio was the perfect place for our wedding, everything was great and I would have rated all 5's except for one department. The companies disorganization in the accounts receivable department was unbelievable. Before the wedding the Platinum Hotel charged my credit card THOUSANDS of dollars extra by accident (they mixed up my file with someone else's) they refunded most of it but I am still waiting to get back the full amount. Then after the wedding I was charged for the 2 rooms provided for myself and my now husband to get ready in when I was told they would be complimentary. (another $500) After a couple of weeks and alot of confusion I did get that back. Honestly everything else was great, but when it comes down to it the time and stress wasted trying to get my money back from them has really left a lasting impression.

The Platinum was the perfect place for our wedding and I would recommend it to anyone. Everything was just perfect.
Nicole set us up with a great list of vendors for the music, photos, cake, and flowers. Marie was fantastic at making sure that every detail was as I had asked, if not better. Alexandra was fantastic and even helped do our favors for us. The bartenders were great, and our guests loved them. The front desk staff was so helpful from getting us in early, to dinner reservations, to even getting a garder for me. The rooms were clean, the beds were so comfortable and the size is great. It is really nice to have the kitchens as well. The pool was so great for the kids, and the rest of us. Having breakfast out on the patio by the pool was awesome.
This is a great hotel as it does not have the casino or smoking at yet it is minutes away from the strip and the monorail stop.
I would recommend the Platinum for anyone to stay at and for anyone who is planning a wedding.

I really wish I could give higher ratings because Nicole and all the staff at The Platinum far exceeded all of our expectations for our wedding and reception. Every member of the staff bent over backwards to fulfill any requests we had and made our stay amazing. Most of the staff knew us by name and went out of their way to make our special day a special week. The rooms were tremendous, especially being there as long as many of us were. Nicole, the Catering Manager was especially awesome. Bad weather descended upon our outdoor ceremony at the last minute and she transitioned our ceremony to a beautiful venue indoors without a blink or any stress whatsoever. Nicole then stayed on through the entire reception to ensure everything was done exactly as we wanted and no detail was overlooked. And believe me, we had some very out of the ordinary details! She coordinated with all our other vendors and was a great great source of support in planning a destination wedding. She is quite simply amazing and I cannot say enough good things about how wonderful she made our wedding and reception. The Platinum ensured our wedding and reception was one our family and friends will be raving about for many years to come. If you want a really nice place to spend your time while you are in Vegas, it is impossible to do better than the Platinum. If you or someone you know is planning a Las Vegas wedding, certainly there are a lot of decent places that will accommodate you. But if you want true value, an excellent event, and to be treated like royalty, I highly recommend you go to the Platinum and all its staff.

Overall it was a great event.
The staff removed food before our guests including us were done with it. - I didn't get a piece of wedding cake because mine was removed.
There were several charges that were not previously discussed. There were issues with our room reservations.

Overall it was a good and we would get married there again and everyone had a fabulous time.

What can I say about Nicole and the Platinum! Im an extremely lazy person so the fact that I'm even taking time out to write this speaks volumes of them! I was originally working with Kathryn from January to about September when i found out that she was leaving and Nicole was taking over. i did have a bit of a bridal freak out mainly because we live in DC an was planning this via telephone and email...since we already flew out there to meet Kathryn and see the Venue, we were kind of nervous...but Nicole never once let any ball drop or anything slip. She swooped in a picked up when Kathryn left off with true grace and professionalism. Our wedding was pretty hand designed from the food to the set up so I was worried but she ran over everything with me from the big things to the little details which I didnt even know! She was amazing and honestly one of the sweetest vendors I have worked with including when we originally planned the wedding in Maryland. On the rehersal day she even had a real bouquet of roses for me to carry and made sure our suite had chairs and flutes for the dinner and extra robes for the bridesmaids the next day! After the rehersal we were greeted in our suite to a note from her a some champagne! She was in the background the whole time of the wedding making sure everything flowed well. Even when the wedding was late she never rushed or pushed me to go (though the delay was my fault..)! She made sure my vision was shinning through in every aspect of the wedding. The staff was extremely quiet during the ceremony and i even forgot they were on the terrace! I loved the bartender and he tried to always make sure i had an apple martini in hand! The sunset on the Misora Terrace is the most amazing sunset I have seen in my life and I have seen sunsets from all over the world. the strip lights made it so unique that most people just stared until it got dark! It made our dancing, toasts and pictures one of a kind. After an amazing day and shoot on the strip (Images by Ingrid...YOU WONT REGRET THEM!!!) we came back to the suite to find an array of chocolate covered strawberries and a cheese platter waiting for us with another note! I mean i was smiling from the rehersal until our afterparties were over due to the flow and professionalism of the Platinum...every single part was AMAZING! THANK YOU NICOLE!

Thank you Nicole for all of your hard work! The view was breathtaking. I appreciate all of your help. The only complaint I have is that the Platinum should be a little more professional by not changing wedding planners 2 weeks before your event :) Although, I was very happy in the end with Nicole-she was amazing! Thanks again!

The Platinum is Awesome. Nicole did a wonderful job as well as the staff to helping my dream wedding happen. All the guests had a wonderful time and said the food was so good. I had a mishap with the DJ and had to fire him, Nicole went out of her way to find me a new one who was there and ready to go in 30 min. I couldn't have asked for more and definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone. I had the mishap with the new wedding coordinator, and was a little worried as well. Nicole knew everything and didn't skip a beat so no complaints there. Thanks Again Platinum

I am so glad we chose to have our wedding here! Kathryn was incredible and organized, always answering any questions we needed. The food was wonderful, the space was amazing. It was absolutely the perfect spot!

I just had my wedding on 9/26/2009, we had our ceremony and reception on the top floor. The ceremony was out on the terrace and the view was amazing and the reception was inside with a 360 degree view of the strip. They were amazing to work with given our situation, my husband is in the Military and had issues getting here on time so we needed to push back the time and ended up having our ceremony there and they were very accommodating and even let my husband use the spa to freshen up because he was coming to the wedding after being in the field for 2 weeks!! So they were great the food was amazing and they were just a pleasure to work with overall, I am happy we got to work with them!!!

I recently had my wedding here a month ago, and given The Platinum's terrible recent reputation economically and their obvious internal hardships, I should not have been surprised at the less-than-average performance on my wedding day. My fiance and I had a wonderful tasting and what seemed excellent communication until a few weeks prior to our wedding. The food came out NOTHING like what we ordered or were forced to pay for, the quality was so poor and presentation so poor it was an embarassment. They also were not prepared at all in the food service timing of it and my guests had to wait AN HOUR to eat, which meant we had to cut really important things out of our night. The communication and organization by the only two wedding coordinators there was so disorganized that I had my wedding party making comments the entire rehearsal. They destroyed my VERY expensive centerpieces, and threw in miscellaneous costs at the end. The two good things I will say is my guests enjoyed the rooms at the hotel and the bar was great - we had a good bartender who was great with the guests. This was the best day in my husband and my life regardless, but it is so sad and disappointing to think how much better it could have been for our guests if we would have gotten married somewhere else.

We just had our ceremony and reception at the Platinum Hotel and Spa in May... and it was awesome. The venue is really pretty and modern (just my husband's style!!) In addition to being a beautiful place for our reception and ceremony, they also provided us with a complimentary suite. I have to say that the suite they gave us was nicer than the suite we stayed in at the Bellagio for our honeymoon Finally, I was so happy with the service!! The coordinator, Kelly, is awesome to work with. I think she has mind reading abilities, because everything really came out so smoothly and perfectly and I gave limited direction. Thanks Kelly!!
