Huey Le is an amazing entertainer! We had so much fun working with him. He knew exactly what we wanted and he knew how to keep the crowd on the dance floor. Having a DJ provide the entertainment rather than the typical Vietnamese band is new to my family. They were skeptical and kept encouraging us to get a band instead but I knew Huey would deliver. We asked Huey to play a mix of Vietnamese/American music at the beginning of reception to please the older generation then once they leave, we started partying our way. Huey also provided the up-light. He took an ordinary ballroom and turned it into our ballroom. The ambient was great and it described us perfectly. We received countless compliments throughout the night. Our guests had an amazing time! Everyone was dancing, even my 95 year old grandpa. It was priceless. My parent's friends and our older relatives said they've never had this much fun at a wedding before. The atmosphere, the people, the lighting and music made our wedding an unforgettable event and we couldn't have done it without Huey. Thank you soooooo much Huey! You went above and beyond our expectation and we couldn't thank you enough!

We miss Huey and his team of awesome guys!! If you want a REAL party (not just some limp attempt at having fun) where EVERYONE (young and old) is just spilling off the maxed-out dance floor, that's also tailored to your tastes, and a team of guys who are trustworthy, charismatic, and real pros, you're done looking!! We were blown away by how expertly executed everything was! They worked with our tight schedule, our photographer, banquet manager, videographer, special guest performers, and everyone in-between flawlessly and they always kept us--the bride and groom--their top priority. We wanted entertainment that would wow our family and friends and show them a really good time, as a statement of how much we appreciate their love and support. Let's just say, Platinum Peaks Entertainment went over and beyond our hopes! They also did our ambient lighting, everything from up-lights, strobe lights, to gobos and believe us, it was one of the best realizations from our wish list!! Our banquet room completely transformed into a gorgeous and enchanting space! The variety of lights could transform from romantic and warm to hot clubbing scene by the night's end. They even set up (projector/screen) and managed our slide show/photo montage and arranged music for it too! After we left our very first meeting with Huey, we knew in our guts that we were in good hands and that we needed to not worry one bit (considering the million other things we had ahead of us). Thank you thank you thank you thank you Team Huey!! You guys really rocked the house!!!

Platinum Peaks is by far the best company out there! We got married in Nov 09 and the best choice we made was hiring Platinum Peaks. Their customer service was amazing - making everything easy and effortless.

At the wedding, our guests couldn't stop complimenting us on the DJ services - everyone walked away saying it was the "best wedding" they had ever been to! To this day, months later ... everyone is STILL talking about it!

Dj Huey Le with Platinum Peaks Entertainment was AWESOME!!! I am so glad that we chose him to DJ our wedding reception. He totally personalized the music to fit us, and kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night. He was personable, professional, fun, and affordable. We also rented a photo booth from him, and everyone had a blast with it!!! I highly recommend him to all of my friends and family for any of their events.

We are just THRILLED and SOOO happy to have found Platinum Peaks! They were just AMAZING - from the moment we met with Huey until the 2:01am closing of our reception, Huey and his staff were professional, fun, entertaining, and just delighful to work with. I have never seen one person with thousands and thousands of songs to choose from for our ceremony and reception. At first we just hired them to do our reception music and emcee, but then while the planning went on, we realized we needed more - and they had it ALL. Photobooth was kick ass! Huey Le was AMAZING! We found out a week before that we needed to also have a dj for the ceremony. We called Huey and he said no problem. He showed up to our rehearsal and coordinated the entire thing and ran the ceremony smoothly. We found him through another wedding we'd been to and we are so beyond happy with what he gave us. DJ Huey and his team are the best!!!! When I started the planning process, I did a lot of research to find the best DJ. My husband and I both agreed that music/DJ/MC were the most important part of a wedding reception. Fortunately, we found Huey. Thanks to his outstanding DJing and MCing skills and lighting skills--- our reception was amazing! He had everyone dancing from my young nephew to my grandmother. All of our guests continue to tell us how much fun they had at our wedding.

Huey was fantastic! He helped make the night very special for us. He was very good at sticking to the genres of music we wanted played and kept the party moving along real well. He held command of his audience, but was never pushy. He kept playing as long as there were people dancing. He showed up early and left late. Best DJ Ever!!! He kept us dancing ALL night!!! He had little kids on the dance floor as well as grandparents. He could sense when the crowd needed a pick me up and played such a great variety of music.

He also kept the flow of the night perfect. He was super professional and always responsive to any questions I had.

We met Huey at Starbucks. And he's, first and foremost, a businessman. He talks business, and he's educated. That's what my phd fiance liked about Huey.. he's not ghetto.. you won't hear Huey saying yo yo yo.. no. He's respectful, your aunt, uncle, dad and sister will like him.

I cannot begin to state how impressed we were with Huey and Platinum Peaks. We requested Huey specifically because of the recommendations and reviews we read. It only took about two minutes of our first meeting for us to decide that we wanted to go with him and Platinum. He made everything simple and fun. Huey and the firm are very organized. On the day of the wedding the place (outdoor venue) was unbelievable. The rental lighting really made a difference.

As for the actual music, two points. Our crowd was a little older and we wanted to make sure that everyone had fun, dancing, etc. We did not even submit a play list, as it was really busy in the weeks leading up to the wedding. We did not even spend a lot of time planning the reception activities, etc. The bottom line is that the dance floor was packed the entire night. Huey read the crowd and seemed to know exactly what to play. Every musical selection was perfect. Also, Huey and his staff made the reception events (cake cutting, first dance, etc) seamless, easy, and fun. They took care of everything and worked with our coordinator to have us everywhere we needed to be without any stress.

Huey was a big part in what made my wedding night the most perfect day night for my husband and I. I didn’t know if I was going to dance because (you just don’t know with all the emotions flying off) but I effing hit the dance floor. So did my hubs. Pretty hard himself. He did the suicide flip which he has not done in 10 yrs and killed followed by a flip up. It was horrifying and damn sexy at the same time. Of all our vendors, we met with DJ's the most. They hold the atmosphere of the wedding in their hands. After meeting Huey, we knew off the bat, he was exactly what we needed! He has an awesome, outgoing, fun personality. His demeanor brought excitment ot our event! He played all of our song selections and brought all our guests on the floor! He even offers a fab photo that kept our guests entertained during the cocktail hour and throughout the night. Our guests took photos with props in front of a beautiful backdrop and received the photos instantly (as party favors). My favorite part was his AMAZING lighting possiblities. The LED's and pinspot lighting really set the tone and made the picture in my head come to life. I burst into to tears as soon as got a sneak peek of the reception. It was like I was on My Fair Wedding. We are extremely happy we chose Platinum Peaks as our DJ, lighting, fab photo choice. Huey is an amazing host and D.J.! The service he provides and the atmosphere he brings to your wedding is worth every penny! I've attended many weddings and experienced many DJs that didn't know how to keep the party moving, but Huey pays close attention to all the details. We found Huey through a friend that had him as their DJ at their wedding. Best form of advertising!!! We got to see an entire wedding and that was good enough for us to want to meet with him. Huey came over to our home with a great presentation of his prices and services along with photos. He was at our house for over 3 hours and at the end, we hired him. We didn't meet with anyone else. He was a great asset to our wedding and kept everything flowing smoothly. He listened to what we wanted and executed it beautifully! He also did the sound system for our ceremony along with uplighting in the reception room. The room looked fantastic!!!! Both my husband and I are full-time wedding photographers, so we see DJs every weekend. While most brides get to meet 2 to 4 DJs in their selection process, we see about 40-50 a year. Huey is definitely the DJ we trusted with our own wedding. He has an awesome personality, super professional and so easy to work with. But let me break it down:

-We trust him so much that we actually asked him to officiate our ceremony. Seriously! He knocked it out of the park. He made everyone laugh. This is a good testament to his ability to work a crowd.

-He controlled the flow of our reception flawlessly. A good DJ can make or break a reception and we have seen plenty of DJs make a train wreck of parts of the reception. However, I was blown away with Huey's amazing talent to bring EVERYONE out onto the dance floor. He is definitely the best of the best!!

-We had an incident during our reception. My cousin had an episode and fainted on the dance floor. The WHOLE reception came a halt, we called an ambulance, and paramedics came onto the dance floor to check on her. We had about 40 minutes of downtime...and some people started leaving. Once everything was done and clear, we only had about 30 minutes left at the reception. I was a little bummed, but Huey worked his magic and got everyone back on the dance floor. We had a great time and danced the rest of the night away. Not many DJs have the ability to pull something like this off. Thank you SO MUCH Huey for being right on top of it.

-He helped make our wedding beautiful. His lighting added soooooo much, especially since we big-time skimped out on flowers (our flower budget was our smallest).

-He was open to new ideas. We did a rocky themed entrance, where my :) husband :) made a video (http://vimeo.com/18222122). Huey set up a black curtain, smoke machines, and intelligent lighting (spotlights and those lights that dance around). After the video we came out in boxing robes to "Eye of the Tiger." This was all HUEY's idea. It made our grand entrance one of the best I've ever seen (and I've seen a bunch).

What more can I say. We recommend Huey without reserve. You can even call me up anytime to ask about him (my cell number is on www.judytran.com), because I'll gladly tell you how he helped make our wedding day awesomely memorable.

If anyone knows how to throw a party and get everyone shaken and movin', it's these guys. I got Robert Hilo. WOW. This guy knows exactly how to read a crowd and how to get down! The music left nobody sitting and my feet hurting the next day. That was exactly what I wanted. However, his professionalism is unmatched. He wore the best looking suit I have seen on a man and presented himself with an air of class. Again, exactly what I wanted. Robert asked us exactly what type of atmosphere we wanted and he provided it. He is very attentive and talented. I am so glad we got Robert for our D.J. I'm sure we will have him for any of our other events.

We had Platinum Peaks as our DJ for our wedding reception. Huey was AMAZING! Huey was very professional during our reception as well as before the wedding day during the planning process. He helped us choose some of our songs since we weren't able to pick them and the songs turned out to be great choices. Huey is very responsive to emails.

His equipment is top notch. His personality is so energetic and he is genuinely a great master at his profession. We used Platinum Peaks not only for DJ services but also for lighting and one of the greatest ideas....the Photo Wall. We treated our guests to the photo wall, a huge backdrop that is staffed with 2 photographers that allows our guests to take as many photos as they want and get a printed copy on the spot. The DJ is one of the most critical components of a successful reception and Platinum Peaks made our reception the greatest!!! I know you won't be disappointed if you work with Huey and his team. Let me first start by saying that we booked our wedding date based upon Huey's availability. That's not a joke. We actually called him months in advance and found out his availability for our desired summer wedding and then went from there. It was that important for us to have Huey be our DJ because he is that good. He really elevates what would be a good reception to become a great reception. He has all the music, picks up really quickly on what you like, and just makes things happen that other DJs just don't do.

We also used Huey for other services, like lighting and a photo op area that all our guests thoroughly enjoyed! I mean they ate it up and it was a huge success. Well worth the money to give your guests that extra fun wow factor. We would highly recommend booking Huey as your DJ if he is available. The guy is in high demand, so call him early or else you may be out of luck!

You gotta have the Photo Booth. It would keep your guests occupied but most importantly they tend to losen up and enjoy themselves.

Prior to meeting with potential DJ's, it never occurred to us (my fiance and I) that a DJ would be capable of so much--lighting/music/MC/wedding schedule timing.

What a difference a good MC/DJ makes--Huey Le provided music for our wedding ceremony, reception lighting and was MC/DJ for our reception. Plus, he was comedy relief for most of the day--the man is GOOD!

My fiance and I interviewed three DJ companies and Platinum Peaks (Huey) was perfect for our needs--Huey is very social and articulate, his lighting packages looked fantastic and his music recommendations for our ceremony worked out superbly. It was a bonus he was able to pronounce the names of my Vietnamese family members (apparently, better than I am able!). PLUS, he makes my husband and I laugh out loud.

His professionalism was evident from the first day we "interviewed" him. Subsequent communications, including emails and phone calls, were promptly and courteously addressed by Huey. A final meeting at our outdoor wedding venue a few days prior to the big day (on a rainy day, no less) ensured our expectations would be met--and exceeded. Huey's meeting with us at our rehearsal was a pleasure and his presence eased a lot of everyone's anxiety.

The music for the wedding transitioned well with the five songs we selected.
The lighting at the reception was more than we asked for--I've developed a deep appreciation for event lighting!

Regarding the reception music--Huey's selections were spot-on and he also knows how to work a room; he was mingling with guests to take requests and ensured the songs flowed well thematically. He worked in my love for 80s music throughout the night, and from our suggested playlists, he gauged our musical tastes and ran with it!

It's four months later and we both agree Huey is the best wedding DJ/MC we've encountered (this year alone, we've been to four weddings counting our own). Apparently, many of our guests, young and old, felt the same way since we've continued to hear the same affirmation of opinions during the reception and for months after.

Huey collaborated well with our other vendors--he ensured our guests were aware of our photo booth and was able to assist with a constantly changing timetable. We also owe him big time for introducing us to our AWESOME videographers from Alumiq, Josh and Anthony!

Huey Le is the most amazing DJ ever.He was recomended to me by an old school friend, and am so thankful he is the DJ I went with! His prices are great, he is awesome with the guests, and he there for you. I phoe interviewed another DJ company who had the nerve to tell me that he couldnt do the music for my ceremony beacuse he would be setting up in the reception room, LAME.. All of our guests are still raving about how good he was as our DJ. He literally brought everyone out to the dance floor (even people we never expected to see on the dance floor). He was very courteous and professional and made sure everybody was enjoying the music. He made our wedding the wedding of the year. We had so much fun with him as our DJ.

When something went wrong with other vendors that we had, he made sure that we were calm and he tried to smooth things out for us as best as he can.

Seriously, if you want a DJ that can start your party and have everyone laughing and on the dance floor, Huey is for you. He was GREAT!

Robert Hilo was our DJ for the ceremony and reception. He helped us with getting all the songs we wanted, and played the right songs that fit the mood of the wedding.

Pros:
- Very prepared. Any audio equipment, he had it ready. He was able to integrate and run the show from our venue with no problem. Our ceremony music turned out just the way we wanted.
- Knows his music. He can get you anything. He helped make our 1st dance song mix... awesome, Rick Rolled!
- Coordinate the action. I think many people don't understand how important it is to get a DJ that runs the show for you. To get people on the dance floor. To have everyone move from one area to another. He was the conductor that was taking everyone on a trip.
- Very professional. Met with us and explained everything in detail. Clear, concise, and to the point.

Cons:
- There weren't any.

We referred him to another friend that had their wedding in San Francisco. Robert was able to do their wedding, and everyone had a great time. He got everyone on the dance floor with a pretty sneaky, and fun way... sneaky sneaky. But Fun. :) When the older people hit the dance floor too, you know you have a decent DJ.

IF YOU REALLY WANT AN AMAZING WEDDING THEN DEFINITELY HIT UP PLATINUM PEAKS ENTERTAINMENT, HIS LIGHTING MADE OUR WEDDING FEEL AS IF WE TOOK ALL OF OUR GUESTS INTO OUR LOVE STORY, HIS FAVORS/PROPS/ AND PERSONALITY KILLED OUR WEDDING AND OUR GUESTS STILL TALK ABOUT TO NOW AFTER WEEKS!!! A lot of our guests - both american and Vietnamese - said our wedding was the best and most fun they had ever been to. And the Vietnamese guests go to a lot of weddings! The reason was mostly because our dj Robert made it a GREAT party. The whole reception ran so smoothly and everyone had a LOT of fun, even a lot of vietnamese guests - even older aunts/uncles and older guests - got on the dance floor! We had heard a lot about Huey from Platinum Peaks, but from his demos we liked Robert even more! Robert really made the party, but his demeanor and voice are just a little more professional than Huey's, and it just made the party a little more classy. None of that cheese you get from so many dj's. Their price was also pretty good for 2 djs and some lighting, because we actually got Robert and Hai, a 2nd dj to do the announcements in Vietnamese. The only reason they don't get all 5.0's is because Hai's Vietnamese wasn't quite as good as he had advertised to us. Otherwise, OUTSTANDING.

Huey is an amazing DJ who can do the impossible and 100% reliable. The team is professional from their equipments to their demeanor. I reccommend getting the whole package so you know your wedding will be complete without any chances of failure (I learned this by going through different vendors because of pricing, but this was my biggest regret). I guarantee you'll have the wedding of a lifetime if you put Huey in charge of your reception!

This guy seriously rocks! He is first off so professional. He played exactly the music I wanted.There wasn't an open spot on the dance floor. he even took some extra pictures and helped to supply a photbooth for our guest. He was so great and made my wedding the wedding of the year!..LUV HIM!

Platinum peaks owner Huey Le DJ'ed for our wedding and I cannot tell you how wonderful he was!! We've been married a little over two weeks now and our family/friends are STILL talking about how great he was. He kept the music flowing and people were having such an amazing time on the dance floor. Our wedding was a mix of Indian and Vietnamese culture, so we supplied Huey with a bunch of Indian songs in advance so he could play them and mix them in with the regular party rotation, and it was perfect! He played a couple of great Vietnamese tunes too, but he was very attentive to who was on the dancefloor and what vibe they wanted.

Although Huey has a little bit of deficiancy in the Vietnamese language, I think he did a great job overall in that arena. I wish I had known more in advance that he didn't have a grasp of the language so we could better prepare him, but I think people had such a great time, they didn't even notice. Also, Huey isn't the fastest to respond to e-mails (which I live by), but he was really good with the phone, and text. He answered all my calls and I had no problem getting a hold of him if need be.

Huey also provided the draping for our ballroom. and let me tell you it was PHENOMENAL! If you aren't thinking of draping your room, re think! We had our reception at the Crowne Plaza in Garden Grove and it was a regular old ballroom, but once Huey was done with the draping it looked like a palace! Huey even went out of his way to get me the fabric I wanted and it acheived the look i was going for and more...beyond flexible!

Please give Huey a call and book him...guaranteed good times will be had by all!

We had a wonderful experience with Huey as our DJ. He's got a dynamic personality and he really gets the party started. He has a huge selection of music - and even made recommendations for songs that he thought my husband and I would enjoy.

The best thing about Huey is the personalized service. He's easy to reach, flexible and fun.

I would highly reccommend him to any bride. He's not the least expensive person, but he is definatly worth the money.

I couldn't stress enough in the importance of having a great DJ for your wedding and Huey far exceeded my expectations. He played all the music I requested and kept the party going throughout the entire night. Although, his DJ services is a bit pricey, his expertise and professionalism makes up for it. I also had him do some uplighting and gobo lights and it turned out beautifully. It definately transformed the ballroom.
I would recommend him to anyone!

Huey was awesome! Very professional. He took the time to sit down with us, both in person and on the phone, to discuss all the details of our wedding and song requests. Before our party entrance, he ensured that our songs were correct and in order for our 18 bridal party guests. He catered to both the english and vietenamese speaking crowd at our wedding and did a great job in making sure everyone knew what was going on at all times. Huey followed through with all of our requests and allowed us to be able to relax and have a good time. There were no awkward pauses throughout the night and Huey did a great job in keeping everybody entertained. 95% of our guests stayed through the night and Huey made sure that everyone was on the dance floor by playing diverse and up to date music. The lighting we ordered set the tone for the entire reception and (according to our photographer Peter Tran [iconsphotography]) allowed for a perfect back drop for our photos. I would highly recommend Huey for your wedding reception. Not only will he be sure to take care of the asthetics of your reception, but he will ensure that everyone has a good time and that you are able to relax, knowing your reception is in good hands.

We hired Huey to DJ our wedding, as he is fluent in both English and Vietnamese (although he prefers English). Huey was absolutely on top of things throughout the entire process. He really knows what it takes to make your wedding go smooth, and really inspire the guests. Ours was the first wedding we've been to where almost everyone packed onto the dance floor between events. In the end we had universal acclaim from our guests. We also rented his photo booth. It was great; it worked well, there were plenty of props, and the guests loved taking their photos home. We also received a nice CD with all of the photos.

The only cons I can think of were the following:
* Huey was mostly unresponsive to our emails. I suppose he might prefer using the telephone.
* Huey showed up on-time to our reception, but didn't contact us at any time throughout the day (until I called in a panic). We weren't sure if he was going to show. At the end of the day, however, he did exactly what he said he would.

I have no regrets hiring Platinum Peaks, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Platinum Peaks was not only our dj but also our ceremony musician and also our draping/lighting company and everything was done beautifully! My favorite, favorite thing that they did for us was our drapes throughout the whole ballroom and water effect lighting on our ceiling. We had so many of our guests give us compliments on our lighting, especially the water effect lighting on the ceiling. PP also did a great job with honoring our wish to play only the songs that we selected. They had our wedding guests dancing till the very end! I would highly recommend going with Platinum Peaks.

Excellent DJ - flexible, professional, amazing dancer! Bit pricey compared to other MCs that were recommended for the venue, but you don't want just an MC for your party - you need a DJ and Huey is the man!

I heard a lot of rave about this DJ, and was so excited to have met him and to book him. We met him to discuss details, and in the beginning, it seemed like he would be great. In short, each meeting after that first one went south and more south. I started worrying that our wedding day wouldn't go as smoothly because Huey would start forgetting what we had previously talked about or agreed upon. Sure enough, on our wedding day, he forgot to do so many things we had specifically asked him to do. We were pretty disappointed, especially after we've heard such great things about him.

Huey had great music and really knew how to get everyone on the dance floor..but just for the young crowd.

On the downside, I was a little disappointed in his bilingual skills--his Vietnamese is not very fluent and for the steep price, not really worth it. He did not translate everything that I expected, and the quality of Vietnamese dancing music, such as cha cha cha, rumba, etc was disappointing. Also, he will not immediately respond to your emails like other vendors do.

Huey's fun personality really helps make his DJ services that much better than the competition. Not only does he and his team work well with the couple, but they also get guests involved during the special occasion. Platinum Peaks will start your celebration out with a bang and keep it "happening" throughout the night.
