Carl was very professional and responsive to my questions during our wedding reception planning. He offers a broad range of sound and light equipment at "al-la-carte" prices so we could get just the lighting and sound we wanted. He excels at playing music to keep the group on the dance floor - we never stopped dancing all night!

Carl did a great job (execpt for mispronouncing our names) and we were very happy with how the reception music turned out. Everyone had a lot of fun and he was very easy to work with.

Carl from Platinum Sounds Works was exceptional. He was very easy to get ahold of to discuss details, ecspecially since I booked his services from out of town. His website was very user friendly and I was even able to pick all of my songs from the comfort of my home. Plus, if he did not have the song in his song book, I only had to ask for it and he would download it!!He also set-up hours before the ceremony to make sure that lighting, sound system, and set-up was exactly how he and I wanted it to be! He was very professional an kept to exactly the plan I had laid out. I would definitely recommend him to everyone and would use him again in a heart beat for other gatherings :)

Our DJ cancelled on us the week before the wedding and Carl was willing to step in at the last minute. My husband and I had some very specific things we wanted done and he worked with us as best he could in the time we had. Unfortunately, one of the CD's we made for the wedding didn't work with his equipment, but he was quick on his feet and made it work.Thanks Carl!!

We had a problem with music during the dinner period of the reception, but I found out later that my wife didn't burn the CD properly. Our DJ actually kept things rolling and didn't miss a beat during that time, so no one knew anything had been messed up at all. Thank You for a GREAT performance.

What music genres are in your collection?

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Describe your DJ style:

Our DJ Style is completely customizable to fit your needs and your style.
Soft mellow back ground music to live concerts and all styles in between!

What is your usual attire?

Tux or business casual

If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?

I have a music provider whom I can get anything I need for your party.

How many other DJs do you work with?

I am the only dj I trust with your party and my business.
I work with you one on one and will be your dj for the event.

What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?

I have no minimum or maximum number of hours I would play.

Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?

Of course I am happy to meet with anyone interested in hiring me for their party.

Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?

I specialize in creating atmosphere and good times.

Do you bring your own equipment?

Yes, I only use the highest quality equipment available in the industry.
This isn't your typical low quality dj stuff.

What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?

Wide variety of lighting and effects available from intelligent stage lighting to lasers and smoke machines and much more.

How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?

Two hours is typical setup time for a wedding reception.
Table is not used in Platinum Sound Works setup.

Do you have any extra space requirements?

Platinum Sound Works systems can fit in very confined spaces since no table is necessary.

Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?

I do emcee the events I play making announcements, introductions and occasional comments between songs if needed to keep the crowd interested.
I truly believe that the music selection and Superior sound quality is what really gets the crowd going.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

No breaks needed, the music never has to stop.

Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?

If the customer wants recorded music played during a break then that is what will be done.

What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

Yes, I do have backup just in case it's needed.

What is your overtime rate?

Platinum Sound Works charges 75.00 for overtime.
All packages include 4 hours playing time.

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?

I do travel anywhere. The first 50 miles from zip code 66202 are free and .70 cents a mile after that.
