Pleasure Groove

I cannot rave enough about the amazing job that Pleasure Groove did at my wedding reception! I was excited enough by how great they sounded on their website, but the clips do not do them justice. From my first email, the managers were very responsive to any questions and concerns I had. Brides have so much to worry about and PG was very patient and helpful when it came to planning the night. I feel really lucky that I found them... I googled St. Louis Motown band and thank god they came up! I did not want the typical, cheesy wedding bands that my friends and family had hired. So please spread the word about them! I love Motown, soul, funk, and PG is a premiere band for those genres. They also rocked out some contemporary faves. We got more raves about the band than anything else at my wedding--and I had a really nice wedding! They were my favorite part, too. They really made it the best party I will ever throw.

Pleasure Groove is the BEST! They were awesome, I am sooo happy we chose them. Our guests absolutely loved them. We were on the dance floor the whole night. Any special requests were never a problem. They went above and beyond entertainment. Do not hesitate to book them, you will not be dissappointed.

One of the most stressful parts of planning my reception was choosing the DJ and/or band. After going to several receptions and not liking any of the bands (I could have fallen asleep listening to them) I ended up hearing Pleasure Groove perform at a bridal show. They have such great energy and it's obvious that they are really passionate about performing together. I heard a few songs at the bridal show and was sold! They were very easy to work with when finalizing details of the reception. I honestly believe that the one thing people will remember about my reception is Pleasure Groove. People were coming up to me all night long raving about the band. As a bride there are few things that can make you happier than hearing your guests are really enjoying themselves! I highly recommend this super talented band.

Best decision we made throughout the entire wedding. The band MADE my reception. My friend Renee hired them for her wedding in May and I told her they were extremely professional and very easy to do business with. And the guests at the wedding weren’t talking about the food, the venue, or how pretty the bride and groom looked, but how amazing the band was! I hope if I have a daughter they are still around to play at her wedding in 30 years!

This band is phenomenal in every way! So easy to work with & extremely professional! Everyone at the wedding said they were the best that they had ever heard!Living out of town was difficult for us, as far as planning a wedding, but this band made it a breeze! I would highly recommend them to anyone! You will not be disappointed!

Pleasure Groove was the most amazing, talented, and entertaining band in the St. Louis area. My husband and I knew right away when we saw them perform at another wedding reception that they were the band that we wanted for ours. You know they are good when your guests are on the dance floor before dinner is even served! They provided us with everything that we requested. Pleasure groove did a great job providing entertainment at our wedding. The sound quality of the band was just perfect, making dinner both enjoyable and entertaining at the same time. I really liked the fact that the band was willing to interact with the crowd and go with the flow of the night. They listened to exactly what we wanted and really set the tone that we wanted for the night. The musical talent that Pleasure Groove has is better than any band in the St. Louis area. Not only are the singers and musicians talented, but they are also very classy. The song selection was the perfect mix of old and new. Even with some inclement weather, Pleasure Groove still put on a great show and really complemented our evening and added to the celebration. We really appreciate their flexibility and ability to make changes at the last minute. I would highly recommend Pleasure Groove for any event as they really bring the party to life.

What can I say except “WOW”! Pleasure Groove’s amazing musicianship from each of the vocalists and instrumentalists was outstanding and matched by their incredible energy and professionalism. I can’t say enough great things about this band. They were extremely easy to work with, and they showed a keen understanding for the dynamics of how a wedding reception should flow. Our family and friends were entertained for the entire evening. Everyone was raving about the band throughout the night and the next day. Thanks for making my wedding reception a true celebration of my marriage!

Pleasure Groove is truly an exceptional band and by FAR AND AWAY, the best band I’ve ever seen play at a wedding or any other type of event. They met my high expectations and exceeded them by far. I continue to get huge compliments on picking such a fun, talented and high-energy band – from everyone from my grandparents, to my 20-something friends, to the 7-year-old flower girl. My friends from out of town who are getting married have asked me whether or not Pleasure Groove would be willing to travel cross country to play – they’re that good! They appealed to everyone and they were absolutely fabulous. This was probably the best money I spent on my wedding. I noticed (as well as everyone else who commented to me), that I (and my guests) have never seen so many people on the dance floor at a wedding. Because the “party” and “fun” atmosphere of my wedding reception was so important to me, Pleasure Groove was the perfect fit. My wedding reception was in Grand Hall in Union Station where the acoustics are admittedly quite tricky. I was very worried about spending money on a band where the sound may be lost or not carry well. I was blown away by how well they handled it. The sound couldn’t have been any better!! I’d hire them again in a second without even thinking twice. Their price is fair and well worth it. You will NOT be disappointed if you decide to go with Pleasure Groove!!! I cannot say enough about them, and I’d be more than happy to talk in more depth with anyone who might have more specific questions!

Pleasure Groove was THE MOST AMAZING BAND! Everyone at the wedding from family to friends, young and old had a marvelous time. We had everyone coming up and asking us who our band was and if they could get your contact information. I could not have prayed for a more wonderful evening. Every song that Josh and I selected for wedding dances was played beautifully. I was so blown away. Each of the male and female vocalists has phenomenal voices. We were talking about how wonderful it would be to get to hear you all play again some time soon. We had an amazing wedding and reception and I don’t think that it would have been so great without such a great band. Thank you to the entire band for an amazing show! Josh & I really enjoyed it! If you are reading this and thinking about whether to hire this band or not, do yourself and your wedding guests a favor and BOOK THEM IMMEDIATELY!!!! You will not regret it and you are guaranteed to have not only an amazing time, but the best wedding yet.

Like many couples, Mark and I had a budget for our wedding reception. Because of this, we had to prioritize what items were most important to us. We came to the decision that the majority of our budget would go into photography, food and drink, and entertainment. We are so pleased that we did so and that we chose Pleasure Groove to be a part of our special day!

During the pre-planning process, Pleasure Groove representatives were very honest, prompt, and professional, which means so much while planning such a large event. During the wedding reception, the Pleasure Groove band members did a phenomenal job of captivating and entertaining all ages. The female vocalist has a stunning and powerful voice and the male vocalist is a charismatic performer with great vocals and high energy. The other band members did not miss a beat and performed beautifully the entire evening. Finally, I want to talk about Volume. Volume was the one thing that we were fearful of; we didn’t want our guests uncomfortable with music that was too loud. Honestly, the volume of the band was perfection! The Pleasure Groove “Sound Team” did a phenomenal job of controlling the volume at a fun yet comfortable level.

Any couple who appreciates good music and entertainment should absolutely hire Pleasure Groove for their wedding reception!

Throughout all of the wedding planning, working with Pleasure Groove was so easy and seamless – I wish interactions with all of the other vendors had been as equally pleasant and stress-free!

Of all of the elements of our wedding celebration (including the location of our event in beautiful Forest Park and the stunning St. Louis Art Museum and the delicious Wolfgang Puck catering) BY FAR we received the most compliments from our guests about Pleasure Groove!! You were just amazing – fantastic sound, upbeat, fun, tasteful…we can’t say enough! The best way to sum-up the quality of the band is to quote several of our guests who commented that Pleasure Groove did not sound like a “wedding band” at all but rather a band that they would have paid to see at a concert or a club! We wholeheartedly agree. And my sister and her husband who are both professional musicians were also very complimentary about the band’s talent. The lead singers were both phenomenal and brought great energy to their performances. We were also very impressed with the range of music – Motown to modern-day. The contemporary songs that the band played (Outkast, Beyonce) were great!

We would also add that Pleasure Groove really spent the time soliciting our feedback about the kind of event we wanted – the type of music, the different elements of the reception, timing, etc. AND THEY LISTENED! They took our comments about the type of reception we wanted and made it happen. Our event was truly the upscale, urban, festive party that we wanted due in large part to Pleasure Groove’s talents. We’d hire them again in a heartbeat!

Pleasure Groove can simply be described as a crowd favorite! Not only is the group very professional and easy to work with, they will go above and beyond to accede the client’s requests and expectations. When we are onsite at an event with Pleasure Groove we are at ease knowing that they will be eloquent and efficient as they emcee the event. Of course it is topped off with incredible vocals and excellent musicians. Lead vocalists Philippe Crymes and Robyn Moore are a power house duo that will leave goose bumps on the arms of your guests. What can I say, Pleasure Groove Band is AWESOME ! We hated to leave the wedding when our job was done. All we wanted to do is sit and enjoy the music.
