Portsmouth Country Club

Right off the bat, Sue and Kevin were great to work with. You can't beat the location and value you get for the price you pay. They were quick to respond with all of my crazy bride questions throughout the year leading up to my wedding and were extremely helpful. We lucked out with the weather and had the most gorgeous outside ceremony----the setting is just perfect! All of the food was amazing---the compliments are still rolling in! And they made the entire evening run seamlessly without me having to worry about anything! I would highly recommend the Portsmouth Country Club!

Kevin and Sue were amazing to work with! They answered every email I sent (which was many!) quickly, and provided great advice to the questions that I had. The venue was gorgeous, they did exactly what we asked in terms of food, lighting, timing, etc, and were so flexible for the time of the rehearsal and what time we planned to have the wedding. We also were allowed to tailor the package to meet our needs. We are still getting compliments that it is the most gorgeous wedding our guests have ever been to! Add to this that of all the venues we looked at, it was one of the most affordable!! I wish we could do it all again, and if we could it would still be at PCC!

Sue and Kevin were fantastic! The only reason for the 1/2 star deduction was because it was in the mid-80s and the AC was broken during the reception. We didn't care too much though, the wedding was great. Food was fabulous, room was beautiful, and the grounds for the outdoor ceremony were perfect. I had to change the rehearsal time last minute and Sue and Kevin were very accommodating. They answered every e-mail almost immediately and were very helpful when I had some last minute changes to the food counts. I highly recommend the Portsmouth Country Club if you are looking for an affordable alternative to the downtown Portsmouth area.

Sue and Kevin are the dream team when it comes to helping you plan your wedding. They were so incredibly flexible with us when we wanted to swap things in and out of the dinner package we got, and they were always attentive to our many, many questions throughout the planning process. They are truly professional, easy to work with, full of recommendations, and responsive at any time or day. We had about 138 guests, though I wouldn't recommend adding much more than that. It was comfortable and intimate, but more guests than that could seem overcrowded, especially on the smaller dance floor. The smaller dance floor isn't necessarily a bad thing, as the floor was always packed with our partying crowd.

There really are no words to describe how friendly, responsive and accommodating the Portsmouth Country Club was during the wedding planning stages. They allowed me to visit the venue on a few different occasions to take photos or ask more questions, etc. Planning from 2 states away was sometimes a pain and the clubhouse managers Kevin and Sue did everything they could to make it all as painless as possible.

Everything they promised, they delivered. There were no issues, no mis-communications, no errors, no disappointments. The wait staff was wonderful, all courses of dinner were served swiftly and the food was FANTASTIC. Our guests are still raving about the scallops, shrimp cocktail, crabcakes (I was told by more then one guest they were the best they've ever had!) and the filet. Everything was cooked perfectly and the presentation was quite nice with the asparagus wrapped neatly and beautiful flower in the center of each plate. We choose the highest package they offered which included 6 passed hors d'oeuvres and a fruit/cheese platter during the cocktail hour, 4 course meal, and open bar. I think for the level of service we received the price was very competitive, especially for the Seacoast area!

I can not speak highly enough about Kevin and Sue...they are fantastic. They truly seem to enjoy what they do and they go the extra mile to make sure everything is just right for their clients.

Sue is phenomenal! She was so attentive and sweet on the day of our wedding. She even made sure a plate of appetizers made it to our sweetheart table--at the request of my husband :) We were able to go in the day before to set up everything as there was no event the day prior. We highly recommend PCC. Everyone said they had such a wonderful time--we even had some say it was the best wedding they had been to! Thanks Sue and Kevin! :)

Our Ceremony was outside on the grounds, and the staff was very willing to accomodate our requests for the service. The Country Club staff was very polite, and moderately helpful. Our wedding was small, roughly 55 people, and was handled as if it were any other large wedding. Our guests felt welcome, the food was good, and the price was unbeatable for the value we received. I'd happily recommend it to a friend.

Although the function manager was very knowledgable when we came to look at the place. When you call and ask questions, it is like pulling teeth... It is a beutiful place though.

The staff at PCC is extremely professional and beyond helpful - they go above and beyond to ensure you have what you want for your special day. While the grounds are beautiful, the function room itself is mediocre. I did not like that the lights didn't seem to dim much for dancing. The food was pretty good, but I've had better at weddings. I also didn't like the giant support columns on all sides of the dance floor. However, the cost was just right; we felt we got a good deal for what we received. I would recommend the PCC for a bride to check out.

I was quite pleased with the country club. They were able to handle my smallish (100 people) wedding with ease. The staff was courteous and prepared. I had no issues what-so-ever with this venue. I'd happily use it again.
