Posie Patch Bridal Superstore

I am happy for the people that where lucky enough to have had a good experience at this store, however our experience was very hurtful. Plus size brides are already at a disadvantage when shopping for gowns but when the consultant makes it even worse it is tragic. None of the dresses we liked where pulled in the brides size. When trying on the dresses she was told nothing was going to fit. The consultant would not give the bride any privacy while trying on the dress. She rushed her through the entire session with a "don't care" attitude. Later we found out she had another appointment after us and it was already the stores closing time. After the appointment she didn't even notice that the bride was crying. This consultant made this bride feel FAT and gave her a very heart breaking experience. I pray that this consultant never has to go through this type of experience herself or have someone she loves to go through it! We left the store with nothing and will never go back. While walking out a lady did see the bride crying and asked if there was anything she could do but by this time it was too late to change the awful experience. Two of the bridal party was told that this consultant does get these kinds of complaints. How can a business that deals with peoples most cherished feelings keep someone that has a record of this type of salesmanship?!!

I had an interesting experience at this vendor. My consultant was really great and worked with me and my body type to find the perfect dress. I had gone there with plenty of time before the wedding; however a month later I get a phone call saying the dress vendor went out of buisiness and would not honor my dress order. So I had to go back to pick another dress. This wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't live 2.5 hours away. I had chosen this store for the wide selection and sizes. At that point I was severely limited to what dresses I could still order and receive before my wedding date. The only reason I went back, is because they offered to pay for the rush shipping on the dress. Seeing that I would have to rush any dress from any other store I obviously went back. The dress I found was great, and I was super happy with it. Yet it still came in after the scheduled date. This left me with 3 weeks before the wedding to do all the alterations. I went once a week, and scheduled to pick up the dress pressed. The staff first stated that I could not pick up the dress on the day that worked for me. Apparently there were too many other pick ups that day. This is when I got steamed. After all my hassle with the dress, and extra driving and gas, they wouldn't fit me into the one day I could go?! So I had to firmly remind them of the experience I was having and a talk with the manager finally got me in. Seriously i was in and out in 5 minutes that day! All in all, it worked out. I know my experience was a unique one, but the people that do the scheduling should be a lot more accommodative.

Great layout. Horrible service! Same dresses as ever other store and similar prices. This place was horrible. The staff was rude to me and my family. I couldn't take pictures. I had to wait 20 minutes for my appointment and then was told that I needed to hurry because my appointment was over after 40 minutes (I guess they don't make up for time you wait for them). I found my dress there, but I'll be ordering it from Nancy's Briday where I was treated like a bride and not an inconvenience. I think they saw my dress budget and decided I wasn't worth there time!

I went here because they offered sizes of dresses David's Bridal did not. It took the staff a long time to get to us, but the lady who assisted us was very friendly and attentive when we were out on the floor. Once I was trying on dresses she did begin to assist more than one customer so it was hard to let her know what I was thinking.Overall, they had a large selection in many sizes, and I did get my dress from there. It was beautiful, it fit, and I got to take it home the same day!

I made an appointment to look at bridesmaid dresses. The consultant wrote down my dress numbers, but didn't offer to let me try them on, it was odd. Also after the saleswoman found out I was a teacher she spent the next 15 minutes talking about how horrible education was in this country. Uncomfortable.

Beware of the northside Indianapolis store! Found a great dress, but when I was measured by the saleswoman she was measuring me at a huge size. I asked to be measured again. We had our doubts but as was stated earlier in another review they wouldn't assume responsibility if the dress was too small. When asked how much alterations would be they quoted us a reasonable price so we just went with their recommendation. Well, when the dress came in it was huge. I went for a fitting and was told the total price for alterations would be over 4 times what we were quoted. I was shocked. Long story short, they admitted that they only gave us a quote on the cost of altering one part of the dress, not the whole thing. We are still in the process of talking with management. I have heard this same story from others after my experience. The dress was on sale, but they made up for it with alterations. Unless the dress fits perfectly, beware. If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't.

I am not going to lie: I was terrified to try on dresses. This store is huge, but well organized. My consultant, Melanie, was awesome! She worked with me at all 3 of my appointments, she made a call to the manufacturer and got them to agree to make a change to the dress that typically isn't allowed, and she wasn't pushy. Melanie went above and beyond, and I cannot recommend her enough. Also, if you don't have the opportunity to work with my consultant, all the consultants I had contact with were extremely pleasant, professional, and accomodating.The seamstress is extremely professional and talented. The price was a little higher than I would have preferred, but my dress isn't the easiest to work with (pleated bust, layered ruffles in various fabrics). She had to take in the bust, take off 1" inch off the hem, and build in a bustle--everything turned out fantastically.

Both my consultant and seamstress were fabulous. It's truly a family atmosphere and worked to help make sure my dress looked perfect.

Bridal store took measurments of the men, and then when the tuxes arrived, they were either really big or really small. We also recieved the tuxes only 2 days before the wedding so it took alot to find the right tux. It was very frustrating.

I loved their dresses, they had a very large variety, but I found their service a bit lacking. Some of their professionals were friendly and helpful while others were rude and less than personable.

They have a decent-sized selection in stock. They only drawback is they limit you to trying on 5 dresses per appointment. Good thing I found the one during the first visit.

The Bridal Superstore can be an overwhelming experience, but the prices are great and the individuals that work there are adequately trained in helping you to find a great dress. However, if you are looking to be doted upon during your dress-shopping experience, Bridal Superstore is not the place to go. The salespeople are nice, but there are either too many people in the store or not enough salespeople to allow for 1 salesperson per bride-to-be.

I found my dress by accident on the clearance rack at Bridal Superstore. I only paid $250 for it, and it was the perfect dress for me! I was ready to spend much more on a dress, but was lucky to find a beautiful, discontinued Maggie Sottero that did not appear to have been tried on or dirtied in the past. I was able to take it home that day. However, if you go this route then you are likely responsible for finding your own alterations specialist.

Great selection, Poor service.

I visited Indianapolis to dress shop with my Mom and sister. We went to Posie Patch on a whim just to see what they had after a long day of shopping in Cincinnati, OH. When we walked in we were told that unless we had an appointment we wouldn’t be helped. We asked if we could just look and they weren’t very accommodating to our request. We talked them into letting us look through the dresses and a consultant was assigned to me. She was rude and very short with my sister and I. I was told I could choose only 5 dresses to try on and was not given any guidance other than to point out different designers. When I found five dresses I was let into a dressing room where the consultant helped me put the dress on. The first dress I tried in this store was the “one” and as soon as we knew their attitudes turned around quite drastically except for sizing. I was told to order a 16 but when I looked at her size sheet I was clearly a 14 and losing weight so I wanted to order a 12. I realize that she was covering should the dress come in the wrong size but when I asked to order a 14 instead of a 16 she not so kindly let me know that I would need to sign a waiver because it was clearly the wrong size. Needless to say I had to have the size 14 altered taking three inches off each size of the bust and waist.

The store had a great selection of dresses and the dress came in exactly when they said it would.

The staff at Bridal Superstore–Posie Patch was absolutely nice to me. They really took the time to show me around the store and to see all of the different kind of bridal gowns they had. I found several nice bridal gowns that I liked and they let me try all of the ones I picked out on and I finally found a wonderful bridal gown that I really liked. My experience was nice and I was happy with my experience with them. I got all kinds of compliments on my bridal gown also which was nice.

I had already been wedding dress shopping once in my life, so I had a good idea of where I wanted to get my dress. There are bridal stores that are more fancy than Posie-Patch, but they Posie-Patch has really great sales on dresses. I made an appointment and explained that I wanted a dress that was one sale. The consultant was great about helping me look through the sale rack. We found a dress that was beautiful but 2 sizes too big, but the staff said there would be no problem with the alterations. I got a $900 dress for less than $200, and even with the alteration it was a great deal. I liked how the staff was honest with me and worked with me to get what I wanted. Also, I went by myself, which I think is the best suggestion if you really want to seriously dress shop.

I had asked my seamstress to fix a tear in my organza and she didn't do it.

I’m giving them 4 stars for price and selection, and I would have given them 5 stars if I felt the staff was more genuinely ‘nice’. They are very professional and they know lots of things, but this is also the sort of place where there are so many dresses and so many brides going through that everything seemed kind of routine. This isn’t the place to linger over a dress and wonder if it’s the one for you. I made an appointment, gave them all my information, and tried on about 20 dresses in an hour. I went to other stores after that, but I eventually came back and bought one of the dresses at the Superstore because the price was perfect. They have great quality dresses for less than at other big box stores, so I felt I was getting a great deal on a dress that I loved.

they had awesome service, except when they called my 14 year old niece fat. They were really great and helpful, but they weren't that flexible

I loved my dress that I purchased. However, it was a difficult decision, and I did not think that Posie Patch was the venue. It is a very large store, as far as wedding dresses go, but it has bad service in general. The first time I went in and had an appointment, I arrived early, notified the person at the counter, and did not get any help until 10 minutes after my booked time. The staff is generally not friendly either; they seem more bothered and annoyed by their customers than anything else. The best thing about the business is the HUGE selection of dresses - in style and price. A couple of things I found strange - the business does not provide free dress steaming and charges for storing the dress if that is what you want. (My wedding was in Iowa, so I was not interested in either of these services, but I know that shops in Iowa provided these services for free.)Like I said, I love my dress. It was a Maggie Sottero and would recommend that designer to anyone!! Her dresses have various price ranges and the quality is superb.

Got my dress and tuxes here. You could only try on three dresses total. The price was good (I had already selected the style- was just price shopping). Alterations were astronomically priced. None of the tuxes fit, even though all the guys came in and were measured in person. We did lots of last minute switching to get an acceptable fit. Groom didn't get his tux due to sizing issues until the morning of the wedding.

I had a great experience with Posie Patch. I actually bought my prom dress here in 2004 and came back for my wedding dress in 2006. They were very friendly and helpful. They do have a few rules to follow - like only take a few dresses at a time and no pictures except if you are purchasing the dress. They explain these nicely (from my experience) and are willing to help. Be sure to schedule an appointment - makes it much better. Also, I am getting a bridesmaid dress here for my friend's wedding and again - no problems at all. They have a wide range of dresses and will help fit your budget no matter what it is.

Was not real happy with this vendor. I thought my dress was beautiful when I first tried it on, of course they make you try on a dress that is way too big for you and then they clip it all back. Don't ever do this. The actual dress you get doesn't really look the way you thought when you do this. I felt the alterations were outrageously pricey. I had no idea that other shops stored and steam cleaned dresses for free but I paid for it at Posey Patch and for as much as you spend on the dress and all of the alterations, you would think they would at least give that away for free. Just felt like they nickle and dime you and they have terrible customer service. They seem to be pretty defensive most of the time. I wished I would have shopped around a bit. I hear that Bliss Bridal in Brownsburg is very good and I went there first and wished I would have stayed there. The prices were actually cheaper and customer services was top notch. Woulda, Couda, Shouda! :) Other than that, my day was beautiful and in the end none of this ruined my day. Everyone thought I was beautiful so it all worked out fine.

Nice staff, wide selection of dresses, alterations very expensive

The consultants were kind, and most of the managers were nice. My husband called them and talked to a manager and had a bad experience but my experience with them was good overall.

We got my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, and tuxes here. I would recommend the dresses - everything came out beautifully. There is a large selection and they help narrow the overwhelming number by likes and price range. My schedule didn't work with their alteration schedule, but they recommended some place else. I would suggest getting your tuxes else where though. There isn't a place to try them on, and many of our men's tuxes (including the groom) did not fit perfectly.

I was very particular about my dress...it had to have a higher neckline and sleeves, but I didn't want an "80's" look. This was the only place that had a dress that looked nice (fashionable) in my price range. Luckily, I had no alterations, just a French bustle put in. They were fast and easy to work with, especially with my schedule.

I got my bridesmaid dresses here. They had so much to chose from and were very helpful. The prices were reasonable too. Great store!

I really loved the selection of Posie Patch. I was also able to order extra material for a second skirt to go with my dress (my dress was a two piece). My only complaint was that the Associates weren't all that helpful. I basically had to grab all the dresses myself an find a fitting room. It might have been just a day, but I was a bit disappointed. I specifically went to that location because I fell in love with a dress at a Bridal Show that they only had at that location. On a good note, they also have a large selection of bridesmaids dresses, and they have a wide variety of price ranges.
