What can I say about Graham and Kenny, except that they are AWESOME! They always responded so quickly to my questions. They were wonderful at the ceremony and reception, working with the spontaneous inside ceremony that was supposed to be outside :) Regarding the video, they wanted to give us the absolute best product they could, and we are more than satisfied.
I originally found them on Wedding Wire, and I'm so glad we went with their services. If you're looking for a DJ or a videographer or both, search no further. You've found the...

My husband and I were just married last night and we had to hop on here first thing this morning just to write a review before we headed out for our honeymoon. The guys at Potent Entertainment went above and beyond to meet every need we had. Not only did they set up the day BEFORE the wedding, they also agreed to play our processional music at the last minute. They're extremely professional, easy to work with and Kenny's DJ skills are AMAZING! Our turn out was less than half of what we had planned, but he handled it like a pro and everyone had a great time. Thank you SO MUCH!!!

Hands down these guys are the best at what they do in the entire Wichita area. They made our wedding more memorable than we could have ever imagined.

Thank you for for the great review! You both were amazing to work with and I had a great time being a part of your ceremony and reception at Botanica Gardens! Your wedding was fun, thank you for making me be a part of the experience! Best wishes to you, your new bride & the kids!

Unfortunately, my experience with Potent was not positive. Let me just get to the point.
1. We requested classical be played during dinner, Kenny played elevator type jazz. Yuck
2. He forgot we were doing the father/daughter dance directly after our first dance so there was a big weird silence and he had to come over and ask us what was going on.
3. I made it VERY CLEAR that it was important he play a wide variety of music since it was New Years Eve and many of my guests would be staying all night. He continued to play top 40 pop (Britney, Lady GaGa) even when I asked him to mix it up over and over again during the night. My older guests were sitting in their seats, bored.
4. He forgot to make announcements through the night when I asked.
5. He DID NOT PLAY THE SONGS ON MY MUST PLAY LIST!
6. At the end of the night he came over to me, the bride, and asked me what my name was again!!! Really?!!?!?!?
7. Basically, the list could go on and on and on. But this was the ONE thing on our wedding day that did NOT go well. I had all the faith in the world that Kenny would do a great job for us, but it just wasn't so. And I was beyond...

First of all I would like to say I am sincerely sorry for not upholding your expectations of my Djing! When I got the survey I was devastated, I could only think what to write back to you because I don't believe an "I'm sorry" would be good enough. My number one fear has always been to take away the dream of that perfect wedding reception from a bride and I feel I've done that to you! I am so sorry!
Immediately after receiving your survey I had a meeting with the American Disc Jockey Association to show them the survey and playlist order for the night so I can make sure this NEVER happens again. While talking to them about what all I could remember about the night I discovered some things like the songs on your must play list. There were two songs I didn't play and I found out it was because I skipped them while changing from the Dollar Dance to open dancing without moving them back to my unplayed list. I made a huge mistake, I am very sorry about that!
I went over the timeline and remember from the meeting you saying you didn't know how to delete off events from our online timeline so you wrote delete in the note section. This is what happened with the first dance(s). Some of the wedding receptions I have Djed begin with introductions straight to Bride / Groom dance then to cake cutting followed by dinner and then dancing is restarted with the father / daughter dance and then mother / son dance. I did write down there would be first dance after introduction during the meeting although I did mis-understand and didn't notice the "delete" to the fist dance after dinner on the timeline. Again for this I am extremely sorry!
One thing I feel very terrible about is the Maid of Honor announcements. I kept noticing half way through the announcements that I was saying "maid of honor" and changing it by saying "excuse me, Matron of honor". Again, I feel terrible about this, I don't understand why that day I couldn't remember matron of honor!
I did ask your name because it was at the end of the night and I was pretty sure I had it right but when I get on the mic I like to be 100% sure. It was last dance time, you where right there so I asked. I'm thinking I could have asked better or asked someone else if the way I thought it was is right but I didn't think it would be a problem at the time. I am very sorry about that also.
I did ask the ADJA how I can explain my playlist and the music genre I was playing. As a DJ my job is to keep as many people on the dance floor as possible. I play all different types of music to see the response of all the guests on the dance floor as well as those sitting at the table. I tried to keep playing older music but I was losing people on the dance floor and those older people sitting at the tables remained sitting at the tables. In my time of Djing I know after a certain time there are just those people who won't dance. I would love to get everyone up and do everything possible to get as many as I can on the dance floor but any DJ out there would tell you that just wont happen. If you look through the playlist order I attached to this email you will see I played a very diverse genre of music until after the New Years countdown. My main objective is to keep those who will dance on the dance floor and I feel I did that well however it does seem like I failed you anyway. And for that I am extremely sorry!
I've DJed a few hundred wedding receptions and of all of them this is the first ever truly all negative survey. It looked like I did nothing right at all the whole night by the survey. I really hope you had a little bit of fun because by the clips of video I put together it looked like you did. After reviewing everything I feel a little better about the night. I do take all my weddings very personally because its not just a job to me, its a passion of mine to watch a Bride & Groom as well as their family and guests have the time of their lives. After reading that survey and then the Weddingwire review it killed me to know there was at least the bride not happy with my Djing! The groom walked up to me and thanked me while letting me know I did a good job so I have no idea how to feel about all of this. But one thing I know is I will use this situation to learn as much as I can on how to better do my work and see that this never again happens.
This is not a email to justify or make everything right although I knew I had to write something because my mission for your reception was not accomplished. Making the bride happy is everything to me and I feel like I have failed you. If I could go back and fix it I would in a second. You both look like an amazing couple and I know you two will have a great life together! I am so sorry I didn't help you have the best first night married. I truly am sorry and hope you will forgive me!
