I chose Precious Memories as it had the best value for the quality of the dress around the Boston area, with a wonderful selection. The staff were all very courteous and pleasant to deal with. The dress came as expected and was flawless.

Precious Memories is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I simply would not go any where else! I had already purchased my wedding gown at a different bridal boutique in Colorado (where I am originally from – so my family Mom, Aunts, Gradmothers etc. could join) however, the deal was; if I purchased my gown in Colorado, my Mom had to get her dress in Boston! We ended up going to Precious Memories in Malden and worked with Joyce and her team of amazing women and couldn’t be happier! Not only did we get the Mother of the Bride dress at Precious Memories, but they were so wonderful in every aspect (professionalism, price, location) we also purchased all of my bridesmaids dresses, my rehearsal dinner dress, and my “welcome reception” dress there! They are even so wonderful, that they were willing to do alterations on my aunt’s dress (for my wedding – she wanted a bustle) when she had purchased her dress in Colorado!

So, unless you are looking for pushy sales people who could care less about what you want or how you feel and just want your money, then I would suggest going somewhere else, because Precious Memories is everything but. I couldn’t have wished for a better experience!

I worked with Murize and she was patient and helpful. I had an idea of what I wanted and the dress I had in my head existed, but they didnt have it for me to try on. She helped me to try on similar dresses and purchase the dress of my dreams without seeing it in person. I loved my dress and I'm so happy it worked out.

I also used Precious Memories for my alterations, although I didnt need a ton - Bra sewn in, belt sewn in and a few darts to keep the dress from falling (strapless) they were patient and never rushed us out. I had 8 people with me for my initial appointment and although the store wasnt huge they accomodated and made us feel comfortable. They also worked out a deal with me for a broach I used for my headpiece.

I got all of the bridal party dresses from Precious Memories including both mother dresses. They were so nice and accommodating for my large party of 10. The alterations were done perfectly. I think the thing I enjoyed the most is that the staff remembered us every time we went in. They knew our names and remembered so many little details. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Precious memories is one of the reasons my wedding was pretty low stress. I had NO problems with this shop. I had heard horror stories on wedding blogs and other websites, and I'm happy to say I was able to avoid all of them. Precious memories really gives you personalized attention, and has a small town feel to it. They always remembered my name, and previous questions or concerns I had. When I first called them, and made an immediate appointment the consultant remembered my name and what I was looking for as soon as I wanted in the door. When my dress came in, they kept the store open late just for me (as I had been stuck in traffic), and they spent a ton of time helping me decide everything from jewelry to shoes to a jacket.

This store didn't even carry the dress I wanted, but I was liked the people there so much that I ordered it from here instead of the two other stores in the area that carried the sample of the dress. Also, their alteration prices are SUPER reasonable. I really love this store and couldn't recommend it enough!

I wasn't one of those girls that thought they'd find "The" dress. I thought I'd find a nice dress and be happy with it. This was the first bridal shop I visited and I found "The Dress" the first time I went there! They were super helpful, let you take pictures, and never once tried to pressure me into ANYTHING. I had only wanted to get a dress, but the moment I put "The Dress" on, the woman helping me (Christine--amazing!) picked out a veil, put it on, and instantly I felt like a bride for the first time. It was all perfect. The dress got a ridiculous amount of compliments at the wedding and people thought i had had the veil made because it matched so perfectly! I went to other bridal shops after this one just to make sure I had made the right choice and they were all terribly pushy! But Precious Memories was always fantastic and super accommodating. I highly, highly recommend them!

Joyce and her staff at Precious Memories are phenomenal. From the initial selection of my wedding dress through all the alterations and the many stages in between they were thoroughly professional and supportive. I purchased all of my accessories at Precious Memories as well. The selection of dresses is wonderful and the personal attention the staff gives is something that is hard to find. I would recommend Precious Memories to any bride looking for that most important of dresses!

My wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses were from Precious Memories. They were so helpful and made the whole experience fun, even though it's overwhelming to find the dress! They had tons of options in the price range I was looking for which was great. They also were not pushy on going for the more expensive options, they were really just helping me find what I wanted. We didn't have an appointment to look at bridesmaids dresses, but they still let us look and were extremely helpful even though they were busy. I would highly recommend going to Precious Memories, it was great!

I actually found my dress in another state but because I live in Boston and wanted to have alterations done here, I ordered it through them. They gave me the most competitive price as well as a discount towards other accessories which I was bound to get (ie veil, shoes). They were great with alterations and helped me pick out good comfortable shoes also. I was very happy with their service. Sharon helped me and was wonderful.

I love this shop! Marize was the best consultant that I could have asked for. She made me feel 100% comfortable with every dress that I was trying on and also had great suggestions for me. This was my first and last stop for my wedding gown. The alterations were done perfectly and flawlessly.
I had gotten a great deal on a Casablanca that I was able to customize to my wants! :) It was great and I got countless compliments on my dress - it's simply gorgeous!! Thank you ALL!

After reading reviews about this shop, I decided to check them out first for my wedding dress shopping. Needless to say, this is the only store I went to! I loved the Maggie Sottero dress I purchased, and received so many compliments on my wedding day! It was comfortable, pretty, and affordable and I couldn't have picked a better dress.

The staff is friendly and helpful and I never left the store dissapointed. My alterations came out beautifully (I only had one fitting, and never tried on again before wedding!), Joyce was amazing talking with my mom on how to make a veil and even ended up giving her a comb for making it.

They really deliver a positive and personal experience and I would recommend to anyone in the Boston area looking for a wedding dress.

Precious Memories is where I got my bridesmaid’s dresses. Overall, I was satisfied with the level of service I received when I was at Precious Memories during my many visits, but I am not sure about some of their practices. They were always helpful and attentive, and worked with me and my bridesmaid’s one-on-one. The first appointment was very organized- they lined up all the dresses in advance that they knew I was interested in. When one of my girls came in at a later date, they charged her full price after I had been told that we would get 15% off because of the number of dresses we were ordering. They fixed the mistake and sent a nice card with a $10 gift certificate to apologize. I really appreciated this thoughtful gesture. They were always easy to reach and organized, by checking in with email updates along the way.
Unfortunately they do charge more for plus size, which some stores do, but my plus-size maid of honor was upset they charged her more to add material on, only to later have to pay more to alter it and have material removed. I’m not sure what went wrong there. I do know, though, that they ordered too large of sizes for all my girls and they all needed alterations. I don’t know if they do this on purpose to make extra money or are just not good at advising people on the right size to order. They insisted my cousin order a size 16, and she knew that would be too big for her. After they went back and forth about the size, she got them to settle on ordering her a size 12. Believe it or not, the 12 ended up being too big and needed to be taken in, so you can only imagine how off they were in recommending a size 16 for her.
The dresses were also all different lengths. This could partially be my fault for not specifying that I wanted them all just below the knee- but when three of them are getting alterations at the same store, you’d think that might be something they pay attention to.
I also ordered some material from Precious Memories to wrap the bridesmaid’s bouquets in, and I wanted it to match their dresses, which I explained to them. The bridesmaid’s dresses were chiffon, though, and we both agreed that a silkier material would be better to use for the bouquet wraps. Well, when the fabric came in, the color was way off from the dress. It turns out that the satin equivalent of the shade of their dress was a much different color. They ended up fixing the mistake at no cost, and ordering the fabric in charmeuse instead, which was a much better color match. Luckily, I was handling these things far enough in advance to have time to correct them before the wedding, but I do wish they had advised me better the first time I ordered, knowing I was looking to match the dresses.
Overall, I was always treated kindly at Precious Memories and would return, but would just be cautious when ordering sizes. The bridesmaid’s dresses seemed very affordable at first, but once you add in the over-priced alterations, some of which could have been avoided entirely, it adds up. They have imperfections, but will go the extra mile to try and correct their mistakes. They are organized, clean, and have a smallish- but nice selection of dresses.

I was first drawn to this boutique because of its high rating through the Knot. It was here that I found the dress! The staff here helped me find a style that flattered my figure and created the perfect look for my wedding day. They were friendly and responsive to my needs and my questions. My dress was beautiful and I received so many compliments on it.

My first trip to Precious Memories I was all by myself because my maid of honor had a schedule conflict at the last minute. The staff made me feel very much welcome and not alone as I tried on dresses. I ultimately picked this bridal store because of its proximity to my home and how easy I could get there for fittings. They also had a good selection of dresses. After a second appointment where I brought my bridal party for support I picked out a dress. We then went back a few weeks later and I also got my bridesmaids dresses at this store.

I did have a small customer service issue during one of my fittings that had me leaving the store in tears. A month before my wedding I arrived for my second fitting alone and the person helping me acted like it was my final fitting and seemed annoyed that I had shown up alone. My wedding was over a month away! I asked about veils since I had not ordered one yet and was told I was cutting it really close to my wedding date and should have purchased it already. I wondered why they had not mentioned that to me on my first fitting or when the dress came in since they could see by their records I had not ordered one yet. For this fitting all I needed to do was try on the dress and see if the small alterations that had been done were correct and make sure nothing else was needed. The dress was not put on me properly and I had to wait a very long time for help -- at one point I thought they forgot about me! I waited for 15 minutes in my underwear and then the person helping me came back and acted like I should have put the gown on myself already or something -- kind of difficult to do without help! Once the dress was on me it was not sitting correctly and I tried to voice the concern but it was dismissed. I let the store know I was unhapy after this fitting and they were very nice about trying to make me feel better. I scheduled a real "final fitting" for the week before my wedding so I could make sure everything was OK closer to the day of my wedding.

Small shop with friendly and attentive staff, lots of options for trying on dresses. Great place to look for bridesmaid's dresses.

I made an appt to come in on a Saturday in January. I had to reschedule twice because of my MOH & bridesmaid. They were kind and didn't make me feel badly about rescheduling.

When I came in, they let my friend and I look around to see what we liked. Many of the dresses were in the $750 - $1,000 range which I thought was reasonable for a wedding gown. We decided to try on 2 dresses. The first dress did not fit well so we tried the 2nd. The 2nd was a bit tight. The dress maker who was helping us asked me to hold on a moment while she got a different dress in a size up.

She came back and had me try on the dress. I thought for sure she was trying to up-sell me. I asked how much it was as I was trying it on..she said $300! It was another dress from the clearance rack. It was a Maggie Sottero Phuong dress that had been discontinued.

I tried it on and knew it was the one. I loved it. She also found a beautiful veil for me for only $40. I wasn't expecting to actually buy a dress that day and did not have the full amount on me. They let me put $100 down and pay the rest later.

I came back for alterations and they ended up costing me $225. Altogether my dress & alterations cost me $525.00, including the petticoat & bra I purchased plus $40 for the veil. I picked up my dress the day before the wedding and it was perfect.

I received many compliments and felt like a princess. The dress fit perfectly and I could not have been happier.

I got my bridesmaids dresses and my alterations on my dress here. They are wonderful. The girls went in once by themselves and a few times with me. I changed my mind a few times and they were so nice there. We went on Saturday after calling that morning to get an appointment for the afternoon. We were able to just search through the dresses and the women that work there are not there to pressure you at all! They are there for questions, but other than that they let you do your own thing. The girls tried on tons of dresses and we found the perfect dress. The ordering process was painless and when they were in I got a call as well as the girls so that I also knew the dresses were ready. They were great!

Alterations: I had to have my dress taken in about 2 sizes due to David's bridal ordering the dress 2 sizes to big...and I had cap sleeves added to my dress. The dress was very elaborate with tons of beading. The woman did a fantastic job. It looked perfect. About a week before the wedding I went on a crazy steak (as most brides do) and freaked out thinking I had gained weight. They let me come in about 4 days before I was supposed to pick it up to try it on to make sure it was okay. They were so sweet and helpful! I wish that I had known about them before I purchased my wedding dress. It's a hidden gem!

My Mom got her dress for my wedding here and they were very helpful. We were able to find her the perfect dress, and it came in in a timely manner. They were excellent to work with.

OMG Joyce and her Crew are AMAZING. I fell in love with a dress online, had been to 2 other dress shops previously.I didn't think i would find it but when U showed up to look at some dresses... There it was in the store. I found it my first trip here. A beautiful Casablanca dress. I love love love my dress. from the first time i tried on the sample to my last fitting Precious memories was fabulous. They are so accomadating, scheduling appointments around my work schedule and my bridesmaids schedules. They have great suggestions to add on to the dress, or accessories. I ended up getting my dress, Necklace, Veil, and head piece here as well as my bridesmaids dresses. It was one stop shopping :) Joyce is such a nice and kind person, truly willing to work with you and your budget :) I will definitely be recommending precious memories to all my family and friends.

Good Prices for dresses, lots of variety. Had some trouble with my alterations but ended up being ok in the end. They did all they could to make sure I was satisfied. Felt like I was charged too much for alterations and made to buy a dress too big for me requiring extra alterations. My bustle did not work.

Joyce and her team at Precious Memories were wonderful! I even loved Josphine the seamstress! They are a hidden gem in the heart of Malden. Maybe even the best kept secret for wedding dresses! They had it all too- not just my dress- I got my fur shawl, hairpiece, jewelery, shoes - all there. Saved me so much time and energy! Dont waste your time going to the hoity toity expensive boutiques. This place is real,and professional, and their pricing is more than fair. They turned a nervous, reluctant pessamist into a completely confident and beautiful bride!

I went from not finding any dresses and being very discouraged to finding 4 I adored from Precious Memories. They spent so much time with me and helped me create a whole beautiful wedding from my gown and all the accessories, my bridesmaids, and both my mother and mother in law, not an easy task. They gave me lots of great advise for color schemes and it was the first time it all started feeling real. They knew me everytime I returned and were always sincerely happy to see me. They are the biggest part I miss about the planning process but know I will see them soon because I won't let my friends go anywhere else.

I was dead-set on avoiding bridal salons for my dress. I hate shopping and trying things on. However, a friend recommended Precious Memories after getting her own gown there. Like me, she is plus-sized, and said they treat everyone like a size 2. It was 3 months before my wedding and I was running out of time. I made an appointment with them and brought my fiance (we're not exactly traditional). The staff was concerned they couldn't order me a dress in time, so I tried on samples. The saleswoman picked out some dresses for me in addition to what I chose, and of course I ended up choosing one she picked! It was elaborate and beaded and I never would have picked it, but it looked amazing on me and my fiance loved it. It was a corset style back so they extended it a size for me. The owner took 20% off because it was a floor sample. I looked like a princess in that gown and I'm so glad I gave them a shot.

PERFECT!!! This place is Awesome I found my wedding dress on my first visit there. They are extremely affordable and carry a wide variety of dresses. The owner and her staff are extremely professional. Even the seamstress was extremely nice and did a great job w/ alterations. A++ for Precious Memories. Highly reccommended!!

Precious Memories is fabulous! I got my wedding dress, shoes and all 8 bridesmaid dresses from here. The girls that work there are great and they are by far the best for alterations. I highly recommend them.

My dress is amazing. Still looks amazing even after the wedding.
My veil = breath taking. The people at the shoppe were amazing. They listened when I needed to complain about wedding stresses and gave me great ideas when I got into a bind. This was the second shoppe I had visited when I went dress shopping.. and I am so glad! I wish I needed another dress just so I could go back and receive their amazing service again!

They do a great job at a friends wedding and come highly recommended. They take the time to get to know what you are looking for when you want.

I am SO glad I got (one of my) wedding dresses here...[long story behind that sentence :D]! I arrived there one day JUST after they had closed, but someone very very kindly let me in to take a quick look around. I returned another day, and bought a beautiful bridesmaids' dress in ivory -- for an amazing price. I ended up wearing that dress for two of my receptions and being so glad for such a beautiful dress that was wrinkle-free, completely elegant, and ... less than $200. A STEAL!!

I love love love this dress shop!!!! My dress was the 3rd one I tried on and new it right away but they did get my to try outside of my "box" to make sure that I knew it really was the one.

The value was unbelievable and the service is great.

One thing to keep in mind, I LOVED my bustle but you have to make sure they use enough buttons/hooks as mine feel about an hour after it was put up. The weight was too much. It was a unqiue one that swept to the side and I have never seen one like it, truly beautiful!

I got my weddign dress, jewelry, alterations, and bridesmaids dresses here. The dresses, accessories and alterations at Precious Memories are beautiful and everything in the store is reasonably priced but the quality is fabulous. I LOVED my dress. More importantly, the staff was beyond wonderful to work with. They worked around my families schedule (they were out of town) to set up appointments. They actually recognized me when I came in and seemed genuinely excited for my day. I think for brides on a budget that are considering David's Bridal - DON'T!! You can get better quality, better service for the same price here. Joyce and her staff were amazing and made the dress process effortless.

The staff at Precious Memories were wonderful and helped me find "The dress". They actually listened to what I wanted in a dress, and listened to my mother and grandmother as well.

I wanted a dress that is simple but still stylish. I don't like a lot of "bling" on my dress and instead of bringing my spangled craziness like other bridal salons did, they focused right in and the 1st dress I tried on ended up being "the one".

When I found my dress the staff kept the store open late on a sunday night so I could be measured.

The service was so great that bought the my bridesmaids dresses there as well.

I actually did not purchase my wedding gown at Precious Memories ( I got my gown at Filene's Basement's Running of the Brides) but wandered in to the store on the off-chance they would be willing to do the alterations. To my surprise, not only were they willing, but they did the job quickly and beautifully. They offered great suggestions and were super supportive, even though I did not purchase a gown with them! I ended up buying my accessories from them and if I hadn't already purchased a gown, I am sure I would have brought one, because they certainly had a gorgeous selection. I would highly recommend the shop to anyone looking for a gown and looking for attentive, personal service.

I cant say enough good things about this store and the employees. I worked specifically with Donna for my wedding in September 09. She was pleasant, professional, low-pressure, attentive, all-around fun to work with.

Donna actually picked out my wedding dress! I went into the store on a whim - dont let the location fool you! I had definite ideas about what I wanted, but like all brides, what I wanted and what looked good on me were two different things. Donna suggested a particular dress that would fit most of my criteria (and my fiance's) based on what I was already trying on. She was low-pressure, but sincere about it, and it turned out she was spot-on!

I came in with my MIL (a few times!) to look for her dress as well, and each time received attentive service. For both dresses they were knowledgeable about their products, prices and availability, when they didnt know something 100% they were prompt about verifying and responding to me - both in person and via phone. Their turnaround time (ordering, alterations, etc.) was accurate and timely. They also had reasonable prices and a good selection of gowns/dresses.

I would recommend checking out Precious Memories for any bride, bridal party, or mothers' dresses.

They were great! Alterations were great and inexpensive and they were all sooo nice and supportive... Nothing like another store I went to in Quincy where I left crying.

After going to too many other bridal shops and getting frustrated that I could not find what I was looking for and feeling overwhelmed, I was pleasantly surprised at the difference here. There was always somebody there to help and suggest dresses that I perhaps would not have normally come across. They actually listened to what I was looking for and helped me find my perfect dress. I love Precious Memories. From the very first visit, they were great to work with, organized, and fun. I found some great gowns on their website and when I called, they were friendly and accomidating. When I arrived for my appointment, the gowns I chose were waiting for me in a large roomy dressing room. They also made great suggestions. We had alot of laughs and tears of joy when I finally found "the gown" that was well within my budget. They also suggested great bridesmaids gowns because I had a variety of sizes and "issues". Even my mom loved them too and she's a tough one to please. We ended up getting all the shoes and accessories there so it was extremely convenient. They kept me updated every step of the way and went beyond my expectations with random acts of kindness. They were gentle with me during my worst bridezilla moments. They were an intregal part of making my wedding planning enjoyable and I will always be grateful. I shall miss them but look forward to seeing them again when one of my bridesmaids get married. Hopefully soon.

I chose Precious Memories for my bridesmaid dresses. I had done a lot of searching online and found a dress I thought I liked - and choose Precious Memories because they carried the designer.
They have a large selection of dresses to try on, but their dressing room situation was seriously lacking... my 4 girls had to keep rotating in and out of 1 tiny dressing room. And the employees were not attentive, helpful, or knowledgeable.
They did not have the dress I saw online in-store, but ordered it for me. It turned out to be perfect.
The girls also had their alterations done there and from what they tell me, that whole process went very well.
I'd say this is a great place to go if you have already done a lot of online research and have a few specific dresses in mind.

This was the first and only place that I went dress shopping. The staff were incredibly patient as I was there for about 2 hours trying on every style of dress imaginable. I ended up finding a fantastic Maggie Sottero dress that was very reasonably priced and matched my budget. My mother later went back and purchased her dress there as well. The store looks small from the outside (although they have recently expanded) but they have a great selection of wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, mother dresses, shoes, veils, jewelry, etc. But what I like best about Precious Memories is the great staff. They are very friendly and I had a great time trying on dresses as did my mother. Highly recommended!
