President Tuxedo

After Dealing with President Tuxedo for a couple of different occasions, I've learned to NOT deal with the locations at the malls. Those are all owned by the corporate office, and pretty much could care less. We had a major mess up for a wedding that DH stood up in last year. Wrong tuxes ordered for the fathers, missing buttons, broken cufflinks, pants hemmed too short for the groom, and all we were told was "Oh well, Make it work". HAHAHA, but why then the 5 star review you ask? I went to the little non-mall store - OH it's a franchise! - And Vinnie at the President Tuxedo in New Baltimore saved the day! The night before the wedding, he met me while he was eating dinner (after hours) to get the suits to fix the buttons, re hem the pants, get me the right shoes and cufflinks. He did it all with a smile too, and everything with a smile. He had eerything ready to go first thing in the AM.

So when we got married, we thought of Vinnie, DH knew that he wanted to but a suit, but we needed to find an orange vest. And he came through. He sold us the vest, long tie, bow tie, and was even able to come up with a pocket square even though the package didn't come with one. And as repeat customers (even though he didn't get a penny for fixing anything) he gave us a discount.

Even if you aren't from Macomb County, Vinnie's customer service is worth the drive to New Baltimore to get your tuxes through him.

They are offering free airline tickets!!! All you have to do is register on-line and pick up the vouters at your appointment!

They had an ok price, but they messed up our orders. They forgot to order one of the groomsmen’s outfits, and then gave him the wrong size shoes. They did drive out to our wedding location to give us the correct items, but it was very last minute, and very stressful.

President Tuxedo offered a pretty standard tux selections, but there were lots of options. We had no problems with the service and we were happy that we went with them. No complaints.

We really wanted brown tuxes, and President was the only place that had them, so that's where we went. We decided to do a "groom trial", where they order the whole tux ensemble for the groom to test out before the wedding.....I HIGHLY recommend doing this if you can (it sounded like they may be discontinuing this practice). We ended up having to do 2 trials because the first guy measured Tyson all wrong. But in the end, it went smoothly. We had a couple out-of-town men who called in their measurements to our local shop and it worked out well. The tuxes were ready with no problems, and the guys looked fabulous!

We went through the Birmingham, MI location, and had no complaints. All the tuxes came in on time, and they were very helpful when we were figuring out what style to go with. They didn't have a vest in our color, but were able to find ties for the guys to wear. Some of our guys were measured at the Flint location I believe, and everything worked out fine. The tuxes looked great, no complaints here!

President Tuxedo had a good selection of tuxedos at a good price range for those in our wedding party. Since there are a lot of different locations, those in the wedding party were able to drive to the one that was close to them and rent from there. We did not have any issues and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The President Tuxedo that we went to was in Westland. 
 


I was really happy with the guy's tuxes, they looked great and fit great as well. I was a little perturbed that the woman who managed the store never gave us any of the specials they advertise online.

Kenneth signed up for a wedding package where they rented 6 groom’s tuxedos, and 2 ring bearers, and his tux was free. They had consultations just like we did and the staff was great, he said everything went smoothly.

The quality of the tuxes is very good, but they are priced on the high side. Make sure the wedding party is measured correctly: The dads were wearing at least two sizes bigger than they should have so it was not too comfortable for them. Also, please ensure they tuxes are impecable: My white shirt had a stain on the collar and my buddy's wife ended up cleaning it at the very last minute! She saved me from looking like a bum on my wedding day!!

Prices for nice tuxes are by no means affordable ($170), but the worst thing is that my husband's shirt had a black spot on it so a friend of mine had to help him with the stain the day of the wedding! Who rents out a dirty tux? Father of Groom's pants were 3 sizes bigger, but they said the pants were "adjustable." The poor man was swimming in it! I must say, however, that they were very flexible with my out-of-town guest and had no problems with them providing measurements a few days before the wedding

President Tuxedo has the best tuxedos at the lowest price. The salespeople are always extremely helpful. Also, if all the men of the bridal party rent their tux through the same store, the groom can get his tuxedo for free!

President Tuxedo is very reasonably priced and always has a promotion going on. They are polite and professional. Everything was perfect for the wedding.
