I am neither a bride nor a groom, I was in fact the photographer for a wedding at this gorgeous location this summer (July). As far as locations go, this is one of the nicer affordable ones I've seen. It's quiet and rustic, with a beautiful lawn for the ceremony and reception, while not being too far from a urban hub (Issaquah and Bellevue). The whole property was well tended and kept and looked stunning, clean, and green. As a photographer, it was a pleasure to shoot at this location, making it much easier to get the photos the bride and groom wanted.

I worked with Kathy from King County Parks and she was so helpful. You can do so much with the space if you have a little creative flare. Would recommend this venue to any bride that wants a nice outdoor wedding!

Looking for a special venue for your special day? King County Parks is home to beautiful indoor spaces and outdoor sites. Preston Community Center was built in 1938 as part of the Works Progress Administration, this river-rock faced, historic log building features an expansive multi-purpose room with a raised stage, a separate meeting room for food service, a full-service kitchen, two fireplaces, tables and chairs for 125 people and a “bride ready” room upstairs with a private restroom. A small park surrounds the center and features a peeled-log Amish gazebo and a “wedding court” with several outdoor table/chairs sets. This is a beautiful setting for an indoor or outdoor wedding site and is offered at a reasonable price. No preferred caterers makes this a great venue for those on a limited budget.
