Reviews for Prince Seafood
I attended a wedding reception here and I thought it was very nice - the food was delicious and the room was gorgeous (it felt very open with the 2 story ceilings). The only complaint would be that it felt a bit cramped, but otherwise I enjoyed myself.
We booked the ballroom on the first floor for our 250 guest wedding. The room is very beautiful with tall ceilings and chandeliers. A lot of guests complimented the food and my mom thought the food tasted better at the wedding than at the tasting we had. The only cons were they don't have a very detailed contract so make sure you get everything in writing. Like gobruins, the night we paid our remaining deposit, the banquet coordinator wanted to charge us 1.00 for each WHITE napkin. I stood my ground and said no way and he gave in. Also the seating chart he gave us indicated that the tables in the corner sat 12 people and the night of the wedding they said tables of 12 don't exist so it messed up our seating chart and some of our friends got placed at tables with people they didn't know. We opted to have a bar and brought our own alcohol (we paid a corkage fee and a bar fee) and I think they were way too heavy handed with the pouring of the alcohol. Some of the guests said the drinks were too strong and I went to get a drink toward the end and the alcohol was already all gone! We thought we bought enough to have 5 extra bottles to take home.
I ended up not using this vendor because when my mother and I went to taste the dim sum, the shrimp was grainy and not fresh. However, the location and the decor is nice.

However for wedding... not great.
We had our rehearsal dinner here so this review pertains only to the rehearsal dinner. The place is huge inside and has a VIP room that you can use if you book early enough. We had ours on a Friday night and the food was excellent as was the price - set price/menus to choose from for 10 course banquet. The wait staff was great even though we stayed way past closing time. We worked with Tim Lee who was great and very accommodating/flexible and substituted some dishes to add some variety.
The food was good, but the service was not so great. The day of our reception, we found that the head table didn't have any wine on it. Also, they almost lost the bottle of XO that DH bought for his dad to drink. The waiters apparently put it behind the DJ table instead of at the head table. Oh and another thing. When we booked the place, it had a B rating for health code. A year later they were a C. Pretty disappointing.
This place is very cramped and the owners are very shady.
