Princess Cruises

we decided rather than renting a hotel and having to find all the activities to do we could probably go a cheaper and easier way. that is when we decided on a cruise. all expenses are paid at once aside from tip and souveneirs which was nice we had a formal dinner and always delicious meals it was great for the honey moon!

9/2008: So far no REAL trouble. Its a little annoying how their packages and gifts are set up. You cant register like you do with other cruise lines like Carnival. So we just picked out what we wanted and payed for it ourselves. Time to time you would have to call them because of errors. I got 1 bad person and 3 good. So it just depends who you get on the other line. We cant wait to go on our honeymoon and relax. We are over due for a massage!

12/2008 Sigh, I dont know where to start on my rant about Princess Cruise line. Lets make this short and sweet: BADS - 1. we paid for the honeymoon package and when we arrived to our room nothing was set up. Had to call them and remind them that we signed up for the package. They said over the phone they dont set up after they sailed off. LIE. we looked down our hallway and there were honeymoon balloons everywhere. 2. our next door neighbors were horrible people. Every morning at 5am they would wake us up with their loud talking and smoking up a storm. We got a room with a balcony and used it only a couple of times when they were not around. They TALKED SOOOO LOUD that it was like they were in the room with us and our doors were closed. We had champagne and breakfast one morning on our balcony and all they talked about is their feet and did it look infected to them. Its really hard to eat while they are looking at each other's feet. 3. food was poor, no flavor or seasonings what so ever. We live in las vegas and would expect the food on the boat would be all you can eat buffet good. It wasnt even to that level. It was at the level of eat because you need to eat level. 4. not a lot to do other than eating. 5. got sea sick, it was a slight rough ride but the waters looked really calm 6. The ports of call were really short and didnt really enjoy it. Cabo was the worst stop we made 7. better to go on shore and book private because booking through princess is a rip off. We did a tour of the city for $40 per couple but online through princess was almost $80 per PERSON. The tour guide company made sure when your boat was leaving to take you back in time. Half the group was from another boat and had to leave earlier so they dropped us Princess people at a great restaurant while they took the Holland people back to their boat. 8. Because of our next door neighbors I developed a really bad allergy reaction to all the smoke. For the last half of the cruise I couldnt breath. I called the front desk about the noise and smoke but they did nothing about it. 9. this is a rant mostly by my husband but they charge Internet per min. and its a total rip off. He said its very 90's to provide a service like that. They should offer unlimited Internet. It was like a couple dollars PER min. 10. they dont tell you this and i later found out. If your cell phone is on (i kept mine on to keep track of time) and some one calls in or leaves a VM the cruise line will charge you $5 per min even if you dont use your phone to call someone or listen to your VM. I had a $30 cell phone charge because it and I never used my cell phone once. 11. What ever liquor you by you have to send it to customs on the boat and they keep it stored till the last day of your trip. One of the bottles they stored for us broke and leaked tequila every where. and the tequila that we bought can not be found here in America (believed me we looked)

I need to get around and write a letter to Princess. The only good thing that happen on the boat was the couple massage we bought. Pricey but well worth it.
