I had such a fantastic experience with the musicians sent by Princeton Music Connection. I sent Dave Rimelis the sheet music for three songs that I was hoping to have played at the wedding and he and the guitarist knocked it out of the park. They played instrumental versions of songs by the Lumineers, Modest Mouse and Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros---none of them traditional in any sense. Each sounded perfect and I couldn't have been happier. The wedding was at my parents' home and in a short conversation a few days before, I was able to impart to Dave exactly the type of music I was hoping to have during the cocktail hour and I never provided any specific type of play or do-not-play list. I'm glad we trusted them because a number of people told me how great they were. They were a stress free part of the wedding that added a lot to the day.

Fantastic. We absolutely loved them. Professional and wonderful musicians!

Wendy and her musicians were wonderful at our wedding. Her correspondence with me prior to the event was more than I expected. She helped me with the type and coordination of the music for different parts of the ceremony and cocktail hour. She was also very professional. The day of the wedding, the quartet showed up on time, were courteous and dressed in black tie attire. Two additional musicians played at our cocktail hour at a separate location and again went above and beyond what I expected. All of our guests enjoyed the music. I would definitely recommend Wendy and her team for an event that requires classy, professional and great musicians!

Wendy,
We had many complements on the Intermezzo Quartet. While perhaps the location on the balcony at Holly Hedge didn’t seem ideal at the time (the impending rain would have damaged the instruments), many of our friends thought that it was perfect. I'm so glad that your musicians made the suggestion - it was a win-win situtation for everyone. I can faintly remember hearing the music that night. Thankfully, we have a DVD so we can actually sit down and enjoy the wonderful music again and again.
Straight Ahead the Band also got a lot of compliments from our guests. Boyd and I danced the night away and judging from the dance floor, a lot of people did the same. They were truely professional and played to the crowd's delight.
One other note. I am so glad that you recommended the live band. We recently attended a wedding which used a DJ for the reception. The difference was amazing and I just have to thank you again for the suggestion. The DJ bordered on being intrusive and at one point, I just had to get out of the room. Perhaps it was this particular DJ, but based on this experience, whenever the occasion calls for musical entertainment, I would definitely choose the live musicians!
Thanks again,
Dr. and Mrs. Harrison

The quartet that played at my wedding sounded wonderful. It was threatening to rain the entire time during my outdoor ceremony and they were (understandably!) concerned about their instruments. Thankfully, the musicians were able to quickly come up with a solution that actually added to the ambiance of the ceremony. The songs they played were exactly what I had requested and sounded great. It was a bit hard to hear them in some areas, simply because of where they had to play (due to the threatening weather), but considering the circumstances, it was perfect.
The one big point of stress that I had when in contact with Princeton Music Connection was when I was trying to come up with a music list. I freely admit that I do not know much classical music and don't have an ear for it. I asked for suggestions and only got a list of approximately ten songs. I listening to the suggestions and found some that I liked. When I requested those songs, I was first told that they did not have that music. After I asked why the songs were suggested to me if they did not have the music to play them, I was told that the songs were never suggested, despite having emails as proof. I had also requested a song not often played at weddings and offered to buy the sheet music, since it was a strange request. When I was told that the other songs previously mentioned were not available, I was then asked to buy the sheet music for the quartet as well as the sheet music to my own personal request. After months of no response, I finally heard that they found the music and could play the songs I wanted. While I was happy that everything went off without a hitch, it did put a bad taste in my mouth to have to deal with someone who does not seem to know what music they have nor care to find out in a timely manner.
Caution: response time was not very fast. There would be a month or two of no responses to emails or phone calls. Be ready to pester and bug (something I made my mother do because 1) I did not have the time for it and 2) I do not like to pester people).
I'm sad that I have to give Princeton Music Connection such a low score. The musicians were amazing. The sound was great! They were super flexible and very accommodating! It was the months and months of stress dealing with stupid mistakes and miscommunications that brought the score down so much.

I mainly spoke with the Mother of the bride during the wedding music planning process (it was a pleasure & she wrote a review by MOB!). There were many emails between her, her daughter, and myself. The bride refused to take responsibility and plan her music, leaving it to her mother to guess what she wanted. The Mother and I understood that there was absolutely no problem in choosing almost any musical repertoire for the Quartet. The songs chosen and sheet music was always available for purchase online. However, I waited a bit before purchasing “The Ludlows” and “Somewhere in Time” because I wanted to see if my colleagues owned these, first. I told them this, and was able to acquire these two arrangements from colleagues, therefore saving my client the cost of purchasing them! This bride made life tough for her mother and me since she refused to communicate at all. Princeton Music Connection works non-stop behind the scenes to make sure our clients are always happy.

This was not a wedding. We had a jazz trio for a retirement party in our home. They were awesome. Perfect music for the night. We were sad to have it end.

The violin/cello duo's music was really, really fantastic. I enjoyed listening to the waiting and ceremony music while I was waiting to walk down the isle. It was just gorgeous, with definitely enough sound to fill both the church and the cocktail hour rooms. We got a lot of compliments from the guests on their playing. We spoke to the musicians before they left and thanked them. They were very kind and so professional. Their playing really made the day special for us and so unique.

We had a string trio and a pianist play for our wedding ceremony - absolutely beautiful! It was such a classy touch to our special day. Wendy was great to work with and the music turned out just how we envisioned it!

Princeton Music Connection is a great resource for locating and contracting musicians in the Princeton, NJ area. She very efficiently recommended a harpist for my son and his fiance's rehearsal dinner and the musician was outstanding and showed up on time.

We had a string duo for our wedding in May 2011 and things went well with the duo. Although we were a little worried that they would need some guidance the day of they wedding, they didn't need anything. They were both so professional, they showed up on time, set up without any guidance and played everything perfectly. It made the ceremony very special. If you are looking for strings, they will do a nice job! The only issue we had, had to do with the scheduling and planning for them. In short, due to rain in the forecast, we were contacted the day before the wedding basically to say that if there was rain they wouldnt show. Rather than trying to offer solutions for us to make our day perfect, they made things very stressful right before our big day. Luckily, there was nice weather, but had there not been, I would have been very upset. Please keep in mind when booking a vendor, you will need flexibility, and courteousness to make the day perfect in all conditions!
Update:- After leaving Princeton Music a 4 in professionalism, Princeton Music contacted us (in October 2011) to dispute a higher rating should have been given (she wanted a 5 instead of 4, even though we didn't agree) based on a few issues. Months later (after explaining our ratings to her) she has now disputed our rating and opinion. BRIDES BEWARE - while they may play well, PMC are not worth the headache they will bring for your wedding and after! Your day should be stress-free and the vendors should not act like this!

This is a fraudulent review. We never performed at the wedding of this person. They were reviewing another company in the area. This is one miserable and unhappy individual...

Wendy and her colleagues at the Princeton Music Connection are absolutely, without a doubt, Phenomenal. She was able to anticipate our every need before and during the wedding. My friends and family still talk to this day about my wedding and the entertainment provided by Wendy and her Colleagues at the Princeton connection. Wendy made it easy for us, was a true joy to work with, and hearing her music on line was helpful in planning before the wedding day. She has an amazing voice. Wendy even played some of my favorites during the reception so I was able to enjoy some of the music before I was pulled off for pictures. Between Wendy, her colleagues, and the music...my husband and I were very, very happy. We absolutely loved the music. Everyone enjoyed it as well, still remarking to this day too. We are very thankful and appreciative to her and everyone at the Princeton Music Connection for making our wedding day special and fabulous.

It turned out great. The quartet played beautifully for the wedding and the cocktail hour immediately following. The music was beautiful. I thought the price was a real value for the great quality of the music we experienced that day.

We needed a jazz trio for our cocktail hour after a friend of ours had to cancel a few weeks before the wedding. PMC was very responsive, affordable, and provided great music for our guests.

Princeton music connection provided beautiful music for our outdoor wedding ceremony and a selection of lively, romantic songs for our cocktail hour. Wendy was extremely professional and easy to work with and very accommodating in helping me to pick the right music for our wedding. She also recommended an excellent DJ and we literally danced the night away. We received many compliments about the quality of the music for both the ceremony and the reception.

We booked a mariachi band to provide music during the cocktail hour for our daughter's wedding. She was marrying someone who originally was from Mexico, and we were quite worried that the band needed to be authentic to satisfy his side of the family. Wendy had the perfect mariachi band to fit the bill. We felt the cost was very reasonable, and Wendy made the whole booking process very easy. With so many details to take care of regarding the wedding and reception, it was nice to have these arrangements fall into place so easily. The band added such a fun, festive note to the reception. We felt that the Princeton Music Connection was a great choice!
