They were the best. Beautiful dresses and the best consultants in MIA, unfortunately they closed. :-(

I can't believe that this place was closing! Even until the very end, They still offered great customer service. I came in for alterations about a month before my wedding and they gave me the contact information to their head seamstress. They also had some really great deals for the samples that they had left. I got a gown form $25 and my flower girl dress was gorgeous and only about $50!
GUEST

The staff at Priscilla were amazing! My dress came out perfectly. It was everything I had imagined!

I have so so reviews since I used 3 different salons. The salon I bought my dress from was ok. The salon I picked my dress up from in Orlando was a mess. They kept me waiting 45 mins to try it on. I wanted the bustle higher but the seamstress convinced me it was fine. The whole wedding I was picking my dress up. If I had the correct bustle it would have been fine. The stores are closing anyway but I loved my dress even though most of the people working there are slightly snobbish.

loved their dresses and great service!

I first of all have to say I loove my dress. I unfortunately did not have a great experience at the store in NJ. I did get my dress and I loved it and received so many compliments on it... but the service was not good.

I LOVED my wedding dress and got it through a sample sale. The dress felt brand new, and I got it at an incredible value.
I did, however, run into a few frustrations towards the end of the fitting process due to Priscilla closing their doors. As many may know, they are discontinuing their services and I found I ran into a few speed bumps because of it.
My bridesmaids were unable to receive alteration services and had to go elsewhere. It all worked out, I just wished they would have been able to have the connivence of working directly with Priscilla of Boston staff.

I am still absolutely in love with my dress!!!!
I went looking for wedding dresses with a completely different style of dress in mind. Ayana Sanchez indulged me and brought the dresses I asked for, and then one more. It was THE dress; Jewel JL 302
When I saw it, i was definitely skeptical. It was pretty, but it wasn't what I thought I came for. I was wrong; the woman knows her job. It was the prefect dress.
The day of my wedding, I felt beautiful. Everyone loved the dress.

I'm not surprised that Priscilla of Boston is going out of business, given the way I was treated at the Boyleston Street salon. I won't go on and on about it- they were just unprofessional, rude, and clearly did NOT care about me once they had their deposit. It took forever to get a hold of someone on the phone, and they give you even less attention in the store. However, I was very happy with my dress- their alterations team is clearly fantastic and will continue to do well at other salons that value their clients' business. The fit was perfect, and I could not have been happier with my dress. I only wish the Priscilla name, and level of customer service and professionalism matched the quality of the alterations and the selection of beautiful dresses!

I found my wedding dress and Priscilla of Boston and couldn't be more please with the quality of the dress, but the quality of the seamstress and all the people who worked at the Oak Brook location. My dress couldn't have fit any better. I found my veil and purse there as well. The POB employees went above and beyond to help us with every detail. It was a pleasure to work with them.
GUEST

I love the dresses that I picked out from Priscilla's for my bridesmaids, but the service was deplorable. For such a well known place, I was shocked at how poorly their Boston store was run. Several calls were made with no call backs as well as several emails that were responded to only after weeks had passed. It's not that they were rude when they did communicate, it's just that they failed to communicate at all 90% of the time. Would not recommend.

Priscilla of boston offers a wedding dress quality that no one else in az has. I tried on several dresses at other bridal stores and nothing compares to the quality, look, and experience that Priscilla of boston provides. I felt so welcomed and genuinely cared about here. I received the dress of my dreams and everyone here including the manager was involved and happy for me. It was a perfect experience that went along with the perfect dress.
GUEST

This shop's salesperson only interested in saleing wedding gown but not others. I brought my wedding gown somewhere else and bought an evening wear dress there. I was rushed during my appointment. The dress came in with a fabric defect on the back so I had to have the seamstress add the bow at back to cover that because that was one week before my wedding. The receptionist is very nice on the other hand. She helped me with the problem. I brought from the store because of the dress not because of their services.
GUEST

I loved my wedding dress, and I had a very good experience working with the staff in Edina, MN. I did not get alterations there due to price, and timing of the wedding.
GUEST

I absolutely loved my dress I bought here, although I thought that some of the people that worked there werent too friendly and a bit snotty. The seamstress did a beautiful job although she forgot to sew in the strapless bra to hold the dress up. I was very disappointed with that. So overall I was a bit disappointed although I still love my dress!!!
GUEST

I adore the dress I purchased from Priscilla of Boston, the dress was a sample and fit me right off the rack. All I had to do was dry clean it and get a bra built in. The service at Priscilla of Boston was good and the setting is straight out of a movie. There was a slightly strange occurrence during my experience that was my consultant was changed and I was notified by letter two days after I picked up my dress. As I came to discover later, this may have been due to their closing. Either way, I loved my dress and the store did a good job to have it ready for me in plenty of time for the wedding.
GUEST

I was super happy with my wedding gown. It was spectacular. It truly made me feel like a princess. Money well spent!
GUEST

Happy with my dress. I ordered a sash that was $200. When it came it, it was the wrong color. I had waited 5 months for it to come in and when it finally did, we were only 2 months out from the wedding. Panic set in. I did come in time, but there were no discounts given for the mix up. A little on the pricey end for what you get. Alterations costs are astronomical.
GUEST

Could not have asked for a better dress or a better person to work with- Anna!!! So sad that the salon is closing.
GUEST

I want to wear my dress every day. Service and responsivness were perfect. My only complaint is that when i got MY dress, not the sample,it hada built in bust support that I was not told about and was too small. Make sure you ask about that when you try on any dress. Otherwise, it was perfect. Very comfortable, excellent alterations. My dress was Claire.

I'm so glad P of B is going out of business, so no future brides have to suffer through the terrible customer service of this store. They never follow through on their promises, and they simply don't answer emails or calls if you have a problem or complaint. The bridal experience will be a better one without Priscilla of Boston involved!!!
GUEST

The Priscilla of Boston salon provided a wonderful dress shopping experience! My consultant, Alisha, was wonderful and pulled dresses that were perfect. I loved all of them! The dresses are absolutely beautiful and made with such high quality, it made me feel like the most beautiful bride stepping into it. It was exactly how I wanted to feel on my wedding day. Sad to see them closing. They were a wonderful salon!
GUEST

Although at times I had difficulty scheduling an appointment, I thought the all around experiece was excellent. I loved my dress and my bridesmaids dresses (both from PoB). My mother actually also bought her dress from PoB and she looked great.
GUEST

I loved working with everyone at Priscilla. Everyone was so nice and really tried to help us get as much for our money as possible. They were very accommodating. I went to Priscilla's having no idea what I wanted. I knew that I didn't want a ball gown and I didn't want too much glitz and they took it from there. I fell in love with my dress instantaneously, it was the first one I tried on. I even went elsewhere and came back to this dress, just wanting to make sure it really was "the one". it held up to the demands of a wedding on the beach. it was perfect.
GUEST

Some brides expressed concern over alterations - I did not have any problem whatsoever. My dress was beautifully altered without any complications.
GUEST

So sad you are closing because my experience was Awesome!!!! Gorgeous dress!!!! Awesome help!!!
GUEST

My dress was absolutely perfect!!! It was exactly what I was looking for. I went to a couple of different stores and they had by far the best dresses. The people were all very nice and helpful. I had a great experience with the store!

I would recommend the shopping experience at Priscilla to anyone but I would strongly recommend that the alterations department be avoided at all costs.
The shopping experience at Priscilla is wonderful, the sales staff is professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. By the time I got to Priscilla, I'd been searching for a wedding dress for what felt like an eternity and was completely depressed about the whole process. After describing what I wanted, the saleswoman pulled dresses for me and the first one she brought me was it. She gave me the time to try on others and was gracious about my reluctant need to walk around for a while before returning and buying.
When I got the call (and multiple emails) informing me the dress was in, I took the first appointment I could get for a fitting - 2 weeks later. Naively assuming that the alterations department knew what they were doing, I accepted this appointment and went forward. From this point on, the situation was a disaster. In short, they changed the pricing on me, made a huge mistake that resulted in the dress being completely lopsided, added bustles when I didn't want any in the first place, didn't listen to my repeated requests that the dress be short enough in front that I not trip over it, didn't have the dress ready in the time promised (which required me to completely rearrange my schedule and my parents' schedule as they were transporting the dress for me), kept me waiting so long I got a parking ticket, and to top it off, when I complained to the manager, Nicole, she was rude, insensitive, and unprofessional. This is a company that does not care about the concept of customer service. A simple gesture such as 10% off the alterations fee, or even an "I'm sorry" would have been enough to calm me. As it was, dealing with (and wearing) the dress was the worst part of my wedding. If I had it to do over again, I would have picked up the dress the day it arrived and taken it to my tailor in Cambridge, a man who does great work given the time to do it.

I bought my Melissa Sweet Fiesole dress from Priscilla of Boston in Oakbrook. Evelyn was my consultant, and she was great to work with. I feel like she really listened to the details of our wedding and encouraged me to try on dresses that I might not have considered at first. In the end, I was incredibly happy with my dress and was able to use a coupon they had sent me via e-mail. Three of my six bridesmaids also got dresses from the salon.
The salon can get busy on the weekends (especially around holidays) so be sure to call ahead and make an appointment. They carry beautiful dresses in a range of prices, but it might be helpful to sign-up for their e-mail list and to keep an eye out for their trunk shows.
I did not need alterations aside from adding cups, but the alterations person I worked with was very friendly and knew what she was doing. Overall I enjoyed the dress buying experience and would recommend Priscilla of Boston.

Priscilla of Boston was a terrible place to go for my bridesmaid dresses. One of my friends who got married before me told me to start the process early with them because they tended to be slow- she was right. I ordered the dresses in September 2010 and they didn't come in until March 2011. Everytime you call them, there is nobody to answer the phone and you have to wait to be called back (days later) and they are so hard to get an answer from.
The real problems began when my bridesmaids picked up their dresses. The seamstress is apparently incompetent because she DESTROYED two of my bridesmaids' dresses. The first one was altered at Priscilla's, when my bridesmaid went to pick it up (a week before the wedding was when it was done), the dress was unwearable, the back of the dress was 4 inches shorter from the front, and would not zip. It looked like the hem was cut by a child. When she took it back they basically had to create an entirely new dress for her in a day when they realized how horrific and unwearable the dress was. In the end her dress fit, BUT the one strap was not fit enough so it had to be pinned the day of so it wouldn't slip off of her shoulder.
The most horrible thing that happened was to another bridesmaid. She got her dress and it fit perfectly. The day of, she went to put it on, zipped it up about halfway and the zipper got stuck, the entire bottom split open. She couldn't zip the dress in either direction, so she had to be sewn into her dress (the dress fit her just fine, it was a problem with the zipper). When this happened an hour before the wedding everyone was in a panic to get her fixed so she could be in the wedding. When this bridesmaid contacted Priscilla's, they said they could fix the dress for her, as if that mattered at this point, the wedding was over.
Overall, I would say go somewhere else, it just is not worth the constant problems. Country Weddings in Hingham is an amazing place I got my wedding gown from and I would highly recommend them.
GUEST

Overall the experience was great. My consultant was Bridgette and she was very sweet and comfortable to work with. I loved my gown and it fit me very well. The only thing I would have to say that the final alterations may have been off since the top layer of sheer was still too long leading me to do a lot tripping as I walked.
GUEST

I had a wonderful experience from start to finish at the Tyson's Corner store, and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. My dress was absolutely stunning, fitted perfectly by their in-house tailors, and was much more affordable than you would expect for a highly detailed silk dress.
I worked with several different girls during the process of trying on, purchasing, and altering my dress, and every one was attentive, nice, and genuinely happy and excited to be helping a bride pick out her wedding dress. They were happy to give you veils or jewelry to try on without any hard sell, and the alterations process was quick and painless.
They had a wider variety of styles and price points than anywhere else I looked, and their rooms are large enough to accommodate any bridesmaids or family who want to come along without feeling cramped or crowded. I think my dress shopping experience was the one absolutely stress-free and pleasant experience of the wedding, and they had a lot to do with it - highly, highly recommend.
GUEST

Priscilla of Boston has by far the best quality of dresses in Atlanta. I was not impressed at all by the staff in the salon. I was thankful for my family to help me pick out my dress and for the seamstress to help make my dress perfect!

I had the hardest time finding a dress that suited me. I really wanted a tea length 50s-ish dress and had my heart set on one from Stephanie James but would have had to wait till January to get to a trunk show where they'd have my sample size. It was December, I was getting married first week of July, and I still didn't have a dress.
I went to Priscilla of Boston with my mother and sister and my attendant was Marlene. She sat me down and helped me get to the root of my dress dilemma and then we started trying things on. I'm a size 16 so obviously the sample sizes were too small, but I did get a good idea of what things would look like which was nice.
They have a few tea length dresses in the collection right now and when I put on Drew and my mom just kind of walked away. Now that might sound really funny to everyone, but that meant she really liked it, thought it was the dress for me, but didn't want me to see it written all over her face so I could make the decision myself. My sister loved it, I liked it, I just needed some time to think. However, we didn't have much time since we were less than 6 months out. So I sat down in the salon, in the dress, and just thought...for about 15 minutes.
When I finally realized it was the dress for me, we spoke with the seamstress (can't remember her name but she is a wonderful lady and knows what she's doing) and we decided that we'd order the dress a certain way to have them do some alterations before it even got to me. We had them add two inches to the top of the dress and change the cup size from a B to a DD so the girls weren't out and about.
When the dress came in it didn't need ANY alterations. It was short, so it didn't need a hem or a bustle, and it fit perfectly. So I paid a bit more in the beginning to get a brand name dress and have them make alterations at the factory, but it was worth it. The dress was so me, and everyone loved my blue shoes (a staple of mine) and my birdcage veil.
The ladies at Priscilla are very nice and attentive. Shopping at a boutique like that is a vastly different animal than shopping at David's. The atmosphere is more bridal, the staff is more knowledgeable, and although the cost is much higher, the quality is also much better.

Priscilla of Boston went out of their way to make sure I could wear my dream veil for my wedding. I waited too long to order it, but they made some calls and had a custom one made and rushed to me, Of course, I had to pay a rush fee, but I was able to walk down the aisle in my dream veil. I also had my dress cleaned through them, and they gave me a discount for being a previous customer - which made the cleaning 1/3 of the price of anywhere else. I would recommend them highly for their amazing service and professionalism.
GUEST

I love their large selection and their prices were good too. So many beautiful dresses to see at one location which I loved. I finally decided to get my dress here after finding the right one.

I purchased my bridesmaids' dresses from Priscilla of Boston and couldn't have been happier with them! There was a great selection of dresses to choose from which helped find a style that fit and flattered each girl's figure. The greatest part of my experience with the company was the customer service. The consultant that worked with my girls was very friendly and helpful from the moment we walked into the salon to the time we picked up the dresses. She called periodically to be sure I had no questions or concerns and update me on the status of the dresses. I was very pleased with how great Priscilla of Boston was overall!

I had a very good experience with Priscilla of Boston in Ardmore, PA for my wedding gown. Erica was my sales consultant and I went into the store knowing that the dress I fell in love with, Melissa Sweet "Lia", would be the one for me. I tried on others to compare, but it was Lia all the way for me! Kathy the head seamstress is the true gem of that store- she made that dress fit me like a glove and I felt like the most glamorous creature on earth on my wedding day. She was so sweet and kind. Her and Erica made the entire experience fun!!

Beautfiul store, beautiful dresses, and very helpful staff! I loved several dresses here... would recommend them to anyone!

My dress was stunning. Jenna B was so helpful and made me feel like a princess. I am very petite so I was worried I would not look good in a gown, but I was wrong. My gown was amazing and everyone said it fit me like a glove!

the customer service was so good as well.

I had a really great experience with Priscilla of Boston. I was pretty nervous about trying on wedding dresses, but my consultant was so great, she made me feel very comfortable. I absolutely love my dress! Beautiful salon, wonderful consultants!

I cannot thank everyone at Priscilla of Boston in Raleigh for making my wedding dress experience so wonderful! My consultant, Anna, was simply wonderful and she went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was satisfied with every aspect of my dress and my accessories; I was sad once alterations were over that I would not be frequenting there anymore!
Overall, the service, responsiveness, and product quality was worth every penny. I was shocked to find out all POB are closing.....still can't believe it. Get a dress there while you can, ladies!
GUEST

Sadly, this review is not for the store itself, just Elisa in alterations. If it were for the store, I would be giving them 2 stars across the board.. at most. Elisa was the shining star in my experience. She tailored my gown to perfection and was willing to have me come back as many times as it took. I think I ended up attending 4 fittings and a pick up and she made the whole process so easy. She is the professional and is so talented at what she does. I never hassled her or got upset. She knows what she is doing and honestly, at least someone there does! Props to Elisa! Thanks for such a beautifully fitting gown! :)
GUEST

My wedding dress was beautiful! My bridesmaids dresses were wonderful too. I was just happy to pick my dress up and be done with this company. Everything from ordering a custom made dress that did not fit when I first tried it on, to getting charged rush alterations because they told me when to the order the dress, and then they became to too busy to make my dress on time. That was just one example of many disappoints with PB, They are more concerned about getting paid, rather then making you feel special on one of the most special moments of your life. I feel sick just talking about my experience with them. Use caution when entering this store, they know how to reel you in, but once you commit you are just a sale to them.

I ordered my 3 bridesmaid dresses the beginning of January, for my June wedding. When I bought them they told me they would be shipped to their store in April. When I called them on April 1st they told me they would be in the week of April 15. When I called them the week of April 15, I got a shock. They would not be in until June 1st, my wedding was June 12. I had a pregnant bridesmaid in NY and that was less than 2 weeks before my wedding. When I asked them what happened and why they kept telling me April, and now they are telling me June they said they did not know and had to call the factory in China. The excuse the factory gave was they were behind in production for that fabric, and Chinese New Year slowed everything down. The things that bothered me were: that they weren't going to tell me the date changed unless I called them, they were not able to up the date to an earlier ship date than June(eventhough it was 3 dresses), the manager was not very helpful until we called the corporate offices and complained, and the dresses were expensive $300 and were made in a factory in China. Needless to say it worked out, the dresses arrived June 1, and they did rush the alterations and did the alterations for free. But for the stress they put me through, I would never recommend their store to anyone.

Purchased all four of my bridesmaids gown for my girls at POB in Beverly Hills. The salon had a great promotion and I received 20% off on each gown which saved me about $50! Their dress was absolutely stunning and all the guests kept complimenting how great the color and quality of the dresses were. Had a large variety of bridesmaid dresses to choose from with all kinds of styles to fit every girl's body. Prices are great and service is great. The alterations specialist that our bridal party worked with was Jose and he is AWESOME!!! Super patient and did a stunning job on their alterations. Everyone's dress fit them perfectly. Salon is beautiful but a bit small and parking is hard to find, but well worth the visit! Highly recommend looking for bridesmaid dresses here and definitely wait for their promotions!
GUEST

My bridesmaids purchased their dresses at Priscilla of Boston in Ardmore, PA and we had nothing but a terrible experience with them. We booked our appointment for a Saturday and there were 4 other bridal parties also booked for the same time, however, there was not one consultant downstairs the entire time to help any of us. Every bridal party just helped themselves to dresses and dressing rooms and were trying them on and clipping them ourselves. Even when we did decide which dresses we wanted to purchase, we finally had to go upstairs to track down a consultant and let her know, and she couldn't care less! This was the only store/designer that had the exact color and style of dress I wanted, otherwise, I would have walked out in a second and went elsewhere. Even when my bridesmaids went to get fitted, they gave them a hard time about not having their exact wedding shoes. Most of my bridesmaids still had not purchased their shoes at that but brought other heels for the fitting instead. We had knee length dresses, so I'm not sure why it mattered but they all got lectured when they went in for fittings. These people were terrible to work with and I do not recommend them whatsoever. Terrible Customer Service.
GUEST

The dress I got from Priscilla was beautiful. Customer service is good until the dress was ready. At that point I got the same service I thought I'd get at David's; impersonal, unconcerned, dismissive, "Pay and get the H€££ out of here!" Because of this I got my bridesmaids' dresses and reception gown at David's and thought their customer service far superior.
Priscilla's staff need to work on AFTER the sale. I've told everyone to avoid them and am telling you all now.
Don't presume, as I did, that your willingness to pay top dollar will get you better treatment. In the case of Priscilla it will certainly not.
GUEST

Not only does Priscilla of Boston have beautiful wedding gowns and accessories, they are so nice to work with. Everyone was friendly and helpful - the consultants, managers, seamstresses, and other personnel. It was easy trying on dresses without any pressure. The variety is amazing and there is a wide price range to fit everyone's budget. They prepared everything so beautifully - I had my dress preserved and it looks fabulous! I highly recommend Priscilla of Boston - shopping for wedding gowns can be a nightmare and Priscilla of Boston's makes it really fun and easy.
GUEST

I will start by saying that Priscilla of Boston in Tyson's Corner offers a great selection of dresses. I adored my wedding dress and veil and got many compliments on both. I also purchased a hair piece there, which I loved as well. The consultants and ladies working at the front desk were friendly when I came in for appointments. I felt that my dress was priced reasonably, and they offer dresses at a variety of price points. The veil was definitely a splurge.
That being said, in the end, I was very frustrated with the alterations process. I would recommend going outside of Priscilla's for your alterations. I am the second bride I know who had issues with alterations at this particular shop (and that is just someone I know personally--I wish I had checked online reviews before having my alterations done there, as I've read multiple reviews with the same complaint about this store.)
At what was supposed to be my last fitting, my mother and I were kept waiting for over an hour while the seamstress on staff "finished up my alterations." This was completely unacceptable, seeing that my previous fitting was three and a half weeks before. The seamstress, Gale, who had been working on my alterations all along was out sick; however, my question is--why was this left to the last minute when I paid close to $500 in advance to have these done well and promptly? It made me nervous and unsettled, as this was ONE WEEK before my wedding.
In the end, the dress was finished and pressed on time. I wrote to Gia at customer service and inquired about getting a store credit for the inconvenience. I felt a bit brushed off by her after she "followed up on the situation" with the store, and I did not find her feedback helpful. Just know this: you pay in advance for your alterations, so you get what you get--apparently customer service is not the priority.
So, for selection this store is great...but DON'T do your alterations there just for your own peace of mind!

It was destiny that lead me to Priscilla of Boston that day, meeting the dress designer and being the first to try on her dress straight from the runway! the service, the quality and stunning craftsmanship of my dress was amazing. Thanks, Kelly F., Anna, and Ms. Dottie!

Priscilla of Boston helped me find a beautiful gown that fitted my needs for the most affordable price possible

My bridesmaid dresses where from this Priscilla of Boston store. Overall, I am satisfied with the service I received. We purchased Melissa Sweet chiffon bridesmaid gowns. The staff at the store was not overly friendly and did not go out of their way to help us select the gowns. We called, made an appointment, although we did not have a sales associate helping us and picked out the gowns and ordered them. They gave us a hard time about giving us swatches for my vendors, my Mom had to argue with a sales associate to get 2 small swatches. However, the dresses were stunning and the alterations there were affordable. I would recommend Priscilla of Boston bridesmaid dresses to any bride because they are gorgeous and some what affordable. Plus, my bridesmaids loved them.
GUEST

Would only buy a Priscilla's dress at this locations. They were wonderful!

POB-SF presents itself well, which I liked. The salespeople and receptionists dress and act professionally. The impression you get is that you're going to get high class treatment and dresses. The dressing rooms are also comfortable. I had a wonderful experience getting the dress. Unfortunately, the inconsistent experience I received after I bought the dress chipped away at the good image the store portrays, which is why I think POB is better but only somewhat better than the other stores I went to. I do think they need to improve the bride experience after the bride purchases the dress. The alterations people are good depending on who you get. Also, I thought the dress prices were fairly reasonable. This is a higher end store so you're not going to get David's Bridal prices, but I think the quality and selection is fair for the price. All-around, my experience at POB-SF was adequate but not stellar.
GUEST

We had to buy bridesmaids dresses over the phone, as the girls were scattered all over the U.S. The dresses came in perfectly and earlier than we thought.
GUEST

I can't believe Priscilla of Boston is closing! I bought my dress here and had an amazing experience. I went to another salon on my own to figure out what style of dress I wanted and then went to Priscilla with my family to pick out "the dress". The professionalism and service was fantastic. My consultant, Lindsey, listened to what I said and had some great recommendations. I would definitely recommend Priscilla to other brides. Shopping at Priscilla is really that dream wedding gown experience that women are looking for.
GUEST

I absolutely loved my dress in the end, but the road to loving it was awful. At my first visit to see my dress, the store had lost it and basically had us waiting over an hour until they told us that it had been misplaced, only to find out once we had traveled home that the dress was actually in the store, just in the wrong room. Then when alterations began the dress was let out instead of taken in, so then when they were supposed to take it back in, they took it in at least 2 sizes too much and removed lining. I had to reschedule moving to my new home in another state to attend several more visits to the store the week before my wedding. My advice would be to either buy the dress somewhere else or take it elsewhere for alterations!
GUEST

I am so sad that they are closing. The consultants were a joy to work with and I felt like I was given a beautiful, quality dress that fit me to a T.
GUEST

I worked with JoAnn who listened to everything I said and was able to find me a dress within the first 5 I tried on. There was no pressure to purchase the garment that day, and I came back later in the week. I ordered it 9 months before the date, with the understanding that the muslin would arrive in less than 4 months. It actually took 6 months, and the final dress did not arrive until 2 weeks before the wedding. They were very accomodating in terms of alterations appts., but that was a little scary and a bit of a nuisance. I had to keep calling them to check on the dress, rather than them addressing the delay up front. Rina from alterations was AMAZING! She made the dress fit perfectly, and was super friendly and genuine. Overall, there's a nice selection of dresses at most mid-range price points, and at the end I was a VERY happy camper.
GUEST

loved my dress. Made appt after appt due to snow and bad weather and they were very flexible. They are pricey for alterations but do a great job.

i love priscilla of boston!! My dress was "Ever" and it was gorgeous. Looking back, I have to say that the people at the bridal store are just as important as finding your wedding dress. I say this because as a bride and during such a stressful time, having "friends" at the bridal store or people you are comfortable with became so important. They were honest, trustworthy, super helpful, professional and worked efficiently. Jessica and Michelle from Priscilla of Boston helped me finding my wedding dress. I visited Priscilla of Boston twice that day. I left to shop other stores and immediately came back because other bridal shops had workers who seemed like they didnt love their job or weren't as kind.helpful. Why would any bride want that treatment? Priscilla of Boston really made me feel like my wedding day was just as important to them as it was to me and that I wasnt just an everyday job/customer to them. My alterations went perfect at every visit. They wear gloves and treat your dress like gold. Their bridesmaid dresses are gorgeous, their jewelry is gorgeous. I loved their service and every visit to their store in Scottsdale made me excited and feel like a princess. 2 days before the wedding, I planned on having my veil steamed. I showed up 30minutes after the store closed (I swear I didn't know) and I was tugging at a locked door in despair. Suddenly an employee from Priscilla of Boston walked by and unlocked the door just for me to get my veil steamed! Never failing to surpass my expectations. I definitely recommend finding your dress here, they'll treat you great the whole time, find the dress of your dreams, and be there for you WHEN you need it!! Thank you God.
p.s. Kleinfelds pales in comparison ;)

I do recommend Priscilla because I loved my bridesmaid dresses and everyone that has seen my pictures said they were the nicest bridesmaid dresses they have ever seen. A few of my bridesmaids also told me my bridesmaid dress was their favorite they had ever worn. Place is clean and nice atmosphere. My sales girl was awesome. All in all a good experience. Far more pleasant experience then I’ve had at other shops getting bridesmaid dresses for other weddings.
I don’t however recommend wedding dress shopping there. Many of the floor samples were dirty and some torn. I wouldn’t have wanted to get my wedding dress there. (this was not at all the case with the bridesmaid dresses)

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved my dress and so did everyone else... however!! the staff here (with the exception of Patty who was great) was off putting.. treated me not like a bride but like a girl picking up her prom dress or something.. kept canceling my appointments on me. The dress was ordered 9 months in advance and still came in 2 months late with them telling me it's "no big deal". Alterations are much much too expensive.

I really loved my wedding dress. It was my dream dress and I knew it the minute I tried it on. I'll admit it was not cheap, but I figured my wedding day is a once in a lifetime experience. And with the dress that I bought from them, it definitely was. I felt like a princess. The staff was incredible and I only need one fitting! I loved my experience with them.

I tried on so many dresses from just about every store in the twin cities and Priscilla of Boston's is by far the best. Other stores have racks of dresses in bags hanging scattered around the store and were so overwhelming to me. At Priscilla of Boston my consultant Sarah was so welcoming and happy to help me find the perfect dress. While it was tough to pick one out of the many amazing dresses in the store I was able to find my perfect dress and I could not be happier with it. The alterations department was also a dream to work with. Ester made my dress fit me like a glove. When I picked my dress up it was pressed to perfection and in a bust from to make sure it was perfect for my wedding day. From the moment I stepped in the store to the day I walked down the aisle Priscilla of Boston made me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world.

We worked with Sue at Priscilla of Boston and it was a wonderful experience. They truely had the best gowns in town. We had several alterations done to my gown to make it perfect, the alterations team was amazing and meet all of our requests and exceed all expectations!

My wedding dress was absolutely gorgeous! I would highly recommend buying your wedding gown from Priscilla of Boston. Excellent customer service!

So Expensive....So worth it! I wish I could wear my dress every day! The fabric was unbelievable!!!!! It was the most beautiful dress I have ever seen!!!

Everything about Priscilla of Boston exceeded my expectations. Jessica was my consultant and she was wonderful! She was so friendly and helpful and always had a smile on her face. She made me want to keep coming back and that I did. I got my wedding gown, bridesmaids dresses, mother of the bride dress, and jewelry all from Priscilla. I think I must have spent a full week there all added up but loved every second of it. If you want to be treated like a princess and get true quality for your money you must go to Priscilla of Boston!
GUEST

I ordered my bridesmaid's dresses from Priscilla of Boston on Santa Row. The quality is great and they only charge the bridesmaids $55 to do alterations. The prices are a little high, but they are so helpful and patient. I think I had my sister try on every short dress they have and the woman who helped us, Laura, didn't rush us and answered all my questions. I would recommend this store to anyone who wants cute, fun bridesmaids dresses.

I bought a Melissa Sweet dress at Priscilla. The Priscilla in Vienna is a great place to dress shop in the DC area. It is spacious and the service is wonderful.

Priscilla of Boston had dresses for every budget, and treated us like queens. Our consultant was Angela Belcher, and she helped my daughter breeze through the most difficult of decisions: finding THE DRESS!! The final outfit was gorgeous, and fit like a glove. The alterations team made sure that strapless gown stayed put and also made the most elegant wrap to wear with the dress. We also ordered the bridesmaids' dresses through Priscilla, and since they were scattered all over the countyr, it was so convenient to send them to the nearest Priscilla of Boston business partner to have their measurements taken and dress fittings taken care of.
GUEST

They had nice dresses, good prices, and the buying process was very simple. The sales consultants were rude, non-communicative, and the alterations department (though, nice) had no idea what they were doing. After 4 alteration appointments, my bridesmaids' dresses still weren't right. They had to take their dresses elsewhere just 2 days before the wedding to have them altered correctly.

I am so happy I chose POB in short hills as the location for my bridal gown and accessories. I purchased my gown ~9 months before the big day and from the first day i called to even when I dropped off my dress for perservation (you get a discount if you buy your gown from POB).
Service: My consultant was Patty Kettle. She was great! I was not sure of what dress I wanted but I did know what my wedding would be like. She asked me about the location and time of year and made some suggestions based on this. Once I chose my dress she was great with following up including sending swatches of my dress so as I would be able to match my other accessories.
Though Patty was my consultant, whenever i called or had a question any of the consultants were more than happy to help.
POB has its seamstresses working to alter your gown so that it fits perfectly! I had Rima who was absolutely wonderful! She listened to what I wanted but also gave suggestions on how it would fit. She even gave me time to figure out my fitings based on my workout regiment.
I was a winter bride and with the weather I was a bit worried about the snow. I had planned to get ready at a hotel and check in the day before. However, I ddni't want to pick my dress up earlier than the check in date. So I decided to wait till the day of, but of course, it was snowing. I was able to be reassured by POB that even if it is terrible outside they would be open and if they were close due to state of emergency--Dina the manager would be able to let me get my dress. This was great to reassure my needs and nervous.
The day of pick up was great! I had everything I needed and directions were given to me on how to open the dress and there were no creases or probelms with the dress! My veil was perfect as well.
POB gave an outsatanding service to me and my family from the very begining and I never had any issues.
My bridesmaids also purchases their BM dresses from here too. Their fittings went great and they were given great service as well.

I was fortunate enough to have Mimi as my consultant. She was amazing and made me feel like I was the only bride getting married.

I saw the dress of my dreams in a magazine shortly after I got engaged. I tried on other dress at a botique near my house, but couldn't make the decision without trying on "the one." No store in my area carried the dress so a trip to Priscilla of Boston San Francisco was in order. Antigua from the Reverie Collection by Melissa Sweet was the first dress I tried on and I didn't want to take it off! I was right - it was THE ONE! My mom, being the logical one, had me try on others, but we ended up walking out of there with Antigua on order and my dreams had been fulfilled!! The process was easy too. My consultant was so sweet and extremely helpful. The store was a dreamland and having champange while trying on dresses made it so much fun and an experience to remember!

After searching at several wedding shops and trying on tons of wedding dresses, I fell in love with a Priscilla of Boston dress. I was fortunate enough to have the flexibility of shopping during the day so I did not have to deal with traffic or crowds at the store. The staff was very courteous and I had the undivided attention of B.J., a bridal consultant, while I was there. She even pulled out veils and jewelry so I could get a true vision of what I would look like on my wedding day. My only complaint was that every time I had an appointment for a fitting or pick-up the staff treated me like it was my first time there and had to search for my appointment. When you're spending a decent amount of money on a dress like you will at PofB, you would expect for a little better service. However, like I said, because of my daytime schedule I never ran into any trouble. I couldl see how it might be a problem if it was the evening and they were busy.
One word of advice to brides who are still searching for a dress: Remember, you will wear this dress ALL DAY LONG....in most cases approximately 10 hours. I chose a ballroom dress and by the end of the night it felt like I had been carrying around a ten pound weight on my waist all day. Exhausting! Also, the cuter the shoe, the higher the heel, the more your feeet hurt!! (especially if you don't wear heels every day).
One last note, I LOVE the bra that I bought. I don't remember the brand, it's the standard bra that they give you to try on. It's not cheap, but I will definately wear it again with another dress. Well worth the money.

I purchased my dress from PoB and I could not have been happier with the result! When the dress came in, it did not fit me at all on the top (my hips are two sizes bigger than my bust). After the first alteration it fit almost perfectly! They had to remove the straps and they did an amazing job making sure that they were symmetric and all of the details lined up perfectly. By the end of my third fitting they had tweaked the dress enough that it literally looked like the dress was made for me. I couldn't believe the result.
When picking the dress my consultant was extremely helpful. If I had a question she didn't know how to answer she asked someone who did. She helped me pick out accessories and knew what looked good on my body type. She did not pressure me into buying a dress and gave me a huge discount (15 % off and free alterations!)
My mom also purchased her dress at PoB. They made a bolero and a flower accent for the dress out of extra fabric. She looked beautiful! All of my bridesmaid dresses also came from PoB.
My only complaint would be that they are not very responsive to messages. The first time my headpiece came in it was missing several crystals. They ordered me a new one and I had called (and visited the salon) to make sure the new one was ok. When I went to the salon they couldn't find the item but told me that I would get a phone call but never did. I also left a message about it and still did not get a call. The next time I went in for alterations the headpiece was there and had all of the crystals were on it. They said they had checked for me, but they just never called. I didn't care as long as the piece was not damaged!
I would HIGHLY recommend any bride in the boston area to visit PoB. Overall I had a wonderful experience with them.

stunning dresses!!! they are phenomenal, make you feel like a queen :)

Got my dream dress, at this store............they were the only one carrying it at the time so this is the only place we went to as my mother and I knew we found the dress once we saw it in a catalog.
Seamstress was wonderful and fixed my dress after to the way that I had in-visioned it to look and turned out really well
Loved my dress

I developed a personal relationship with the wonderful women in this location. I want to thank Kelly,Gail, Kate, Danielle, Calvina, Marisa, Jessica and Brittany (now in the ATL location) for helping me find THE DRESS and for making sure I was a stunner on my wedding day! Priscilla's is the only bridal salon that I went two where the dresses look better than they do on the website! The dresses sell themselves! I am a plus size bride so gown shopping was no major joy for me. Priscilla's staff made sure that I found a gown that was going to make me happy and they did everything to accomodate me. Some say their gowns are expensive (subjective) and some are BUT you get what you pay for and you are paying for exceptional service and an exceptional gown. I will dance around the house in my gown for many years to come. I love you ladies! Thanks for everything!

I could have done the whole indie bride thing and purchased a used Priscilla of Boston dress for half the cost of a new dress. I could have eschewed a major wedding dress brand for a smaller label or a discount dress house. But when stress levels started to rise, and I desperately needed one part of the wedding planning process to be easy, I went with Priscilla of Boston.
The New York boutique isn't the most attentive of stores, but they handle a lot of brides with a great deal of efficiency. On my first visit, I found my perfect dress within half an hour—in no small part due to the research I did on Priscilla of Boston's helpful website, which filters dresses by price, length, and neckline.
My follow-up alteration appointments went equally smoothly and quickly, and on my wedding day, the dress looked and felt great. There are only two things you ought to consider when choosing Priscilla of Boston:
1.) You're likely going to be spending at least $1,500 (don't forget about the cost of alterations!), so make sure your budget allows for this.
2.) Make sure to arrange for transportation when you pick up your dress. The POB boutique is in the hectic Times Square/Port Authority area, so finding a cab can be daunting. And believe me, you won't want to take your wedding dress on the subway.

I am a size 12-14. I found the experience of shopping at Priscilla of Boston to be really challenging and underwhelming. There was a dress that I absolutely loved, and I purchased it, but the entire process was nerve-wracking since the sample size was a 6 and I couldn't truly see what it would look like and the shop seemed very unforgiving of this. I have to admit that my mother urged me to purchase the dress, and I wanted to make her happy, but I was uncomfortable spending $4,500 on a product that I couldn't see - and by the way, it's NON REFUNDABLE. I had to spend an extra $500 for a custom fit, as my body was three different sizes at the bust, waist, and hips. When the dress arrived, I then had to spend $300 to add a bustle, which I was not pleased about. The dress alterations were not completely ready at the promised time, which further added to my frustation. In addition, I received about four emails throughout the course of the year offering discounts which, when I called the shop, I learned I was not eligible to use since I'd already purchased the dress. In summary, I absolutely wouldn't recommend buying from Priscilla unless you have a very large wedding budget, and a small dress size. To me, the service was not worth the worry. The dress was very pretty but I am finding that it is challenging to re-sell, even with the Priscilla name and the excellent condition. This was the most upsetting and un-fun part of the wedding for me, and for most brides, it's the best, so I highly encourage ladies above a size 10 to steer clear of Priscilla of Boston.

My dress was amazing and so worth it in the end, but I had a few bumps (my dress had to be re-made 6 weeks before the wedding). I received the dress on time and the quality was amazing for the time they had to make it. I would still but from Priscilla of Boston.

They really know what they are doing at this store. Fantastic Dresses! Fantastic Service!

I loved my dress. The person I worked with was very nice and accomodating during my first visit. She also kept in touch throughout the process. I was traveling for two hours to appointments for fittings since it was 1/2 from where I lived and my mom. They were very accomodating with scheduling even lettting us come before the shop opened since it was the only weekend when my mom and I were both available before the wedding. The dress was more expensive than I wanted but was beautiful.

My advice: stay away! My experience at Priscilla was beyond disappointing. Despite experiencing problems for months I really thought they would pull through. They didn't and I had to find a new wedding dress 9 days before my wedding.
I had a wonderful experience while shopping for my dress at PoB in November of 2009. They were friendly and accommodating and let me make up my mind without pressuring me. After I had chosen a Melissa Sweet dress they advised me to have a muslin fitting to ensure that the dress would be made exactly to my measurements. We paid extra for this service expecting a perfectly tailored dress. Ha!
In July 2010 (3 months before my wedding) someone from PoB called me to schedule my 1st fitting but when I showed up the dress didn't fit. It seemed as if they did not use the muslin at all because my dress was missing 2" from the top. I could barely lower my arms and the bust cups were up near my shoulders. At this point the manager became involved and told us the dress would be fixed at the next fitting.
When I showed up for fitting #2 they had added 2" to the dress but there was an obvious seam and the added material did not match the design of the dress (which they denied until fitting #4 when I had another dress to compare it to). In addition to this, the bust cups were still nowhere close to where they should have been. The manager again assured me to trust her and that it would be fixed at the next fitting.
At fitting #3, 2 weeks later, clearly no work had been made on the dress. But this time they had brought in the dress' designer who was supposed to be able to fix it. Once again the manager asked me to trust her and once again I did.
At fitting #4, 1 month before the wedding, I put on the dress and it was a mess. The entire bust area was dimpled, dented, and disgusting. The dress had been completely ruined by the amount of "fixing" it PoB had done. They took me out of it and put me in a sample to figure out what had gone wrong. After a long conference between store managers and seamstresses, the manager told me that they had figured the problem out and that they would be making me a completely new dress. She told me that they would have no problem making the dress in 3 weeks so that I would still have 1 week before the wedding to make minor adjustments. The manager assured me that the dress would be made in the factory in Charlestown and that she would personally be monitoring it's progress. She even brought in two women who supposedly worked at the factory to pin me into my muslin (which they had apparently found). For some crazy reason, I still believed her that she would make this dress happen for me.
Finally, on October 1, only 9 days before my wedding, I received an email from the manager letting me know that my dress was stuck in customs in China and that it "should" be here on October 5th. She did not offer any backup plan or solutions, she just asked me to wait, again, and hope for the best. WHAT???!!!
All I can say is thank God for Vera Wang who fit me in for an appointment the next day and sold me a beautiful sample dress that they altered in 7 days. It clearly all turned out for the best because the dress I wore to my wedding was stunning and in a whole different league from my original dress.
PoB has told us that they will be refunding our money. I hope this isn't another one of their lies.

The people at Priscilla's were lovely to work with, very accomodating and I adored the woman in charge of alterations. She was incredibly helpful and very sweet. The dresses are obviously beautiful, but definitely expensive. I'm sure that I did not need to spend as much as I did to find a beautiful dress, but I don't have any regrets. I adored my dress and had complete strangers offer compliments. The alternations were expensive in store, but I'm not sure how they would compare to other options in Boston as I didn't have the opportunity to price compare. Also, they were excellent. The dress fit like a glove.

Great dress, but fittings were not good.

I found my dress on my first visit to Priscilla of Boston. I brought 9 girls with me and the accomodated them very easily. My sales girl was very good and handled my requests with ease. I was surprised that they didnt accept checks because my grandfather wanted to purchase my dress for me but they wouldnt accept his check. So my mother-in-law had to pay for it on her credit card which bothered me more than it did her. And it turns out that I lost 2 dress sizes by the time I bought the dress til the wedding day so needless to say I was in there a lot of alterations, which were more expensive than I thought they would be. But to their defense, I only had to pay once for the 3 times I had the dress taken in. Their seamstress was so sweet and very good at her work. The front desk was a little unorganized when it came to alerting me when the bridesmaid dresses arrived and when my dress arrived but they at least got the order right! The have a wonderful selection there but I would definitely shop around for good alternations people if you dont want to pay their price!

I bought my dress from Pricilla of Boston in NJ (Millburn). Although I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED my wedding dress, I was very disappointed with the service that I got at the store. I had heard negative things about working with any of the Pricilla of Boston stores, but my mom's wedding dress was from Pricilla and I wanted to see what they had for me. My consultant Rachel was super nice and helpful. I came in with a specific dress in mind and as soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one. The price was very reasonable and we bought it that day. A few weeks later, I brought my bridesmaids back to try on dresses. We found the bridesmaid dresses and each girl was measured. We were still deciding on the color so we left the store without ordering the dresses. But the store had all of the girls' info on file. Once we decided on a color, each of my bridesmaids called the store and ordered their dress and gave their deposits. However, the store never contacted me to let me know that two of the girls hadn't sent back their contracts, which agreed to pay for the balance of the dress. I called the store to check on things so I was the one who found out about this hold up. It would have been nice if someone at the store called me to let me know that they couldn't order the dresses until they received the signed contracts. I was disappointed. But that was nothing compared to what happened next. I went for my first fitting about 2 months before my wedding. It was fine. The dress looked great but they needed to take it in about a size and a half. The seamstress was going to make the alterations but not cut any of the extra material until my next fitting, which was scheduled for 4 weeks before my wedding. Two days before my next fitting, I was called by the manager and was asked if I could change my appointment. The seamstress had been out because of a family issue and other dresses had priority because their weddings were before mine. I was very flexible and agreed to come in about a week and a half before my wedding. I asked the manager if this would be cutting too close and she assured me it would be fine. I went to my next fitting and the dress looked great. The seamstress said she would cut everything and it would be ready for one last fitting the following week - 4 days before my wedding. When I showed up for my last fitting, the dress looked exactly the same as it had the week before. NOTHING had been done. It turned out that the seamstress went home sick that day and didn't tell anyone that my dress wasn't finished. UNACCEPTABLE!! There should be communication within the salon. This is Pricilla of Boston - not a low-end bridal shop. My mother was furious and so was I. We also found an unusual pull in the skirt of the dress that was not there the week before. My dress was silk charmeuse so every little flaw showed. They assured me that they would fix it but it was next fixed. (I noticed it the day of my wedding but hopefully no one else did.) The manage promised that the dress would be done the following day (3 days before the wedding) and when I went back the next day, it still needed work. My mother and I found the women at Pricilla to be unprofessional and cold. We are VERY low-key people so they were lucky they weren't dealing with a bridezilla. In the end, my dress was gorgeous. However, I would not recommend Pricilla of Boston to anyone looking for a professional, easy, and pleasant dress shopping experience.
