I was not pleased with the quality of service or actual product.

I was able to breath such a sigh of relief after meeting Todd of Promises Wedding Services. Not only did I think he was the perfect wedding officiate for our wedding, but so did my husband. I found it very easy to talk to Todd and explain to him what we wanted our ceremony to be like. I felt like he completely understood what we were looking for. He went above and beyond what I expected. My husbands father un-executively passed away a week before our wedding. I had contacted Todd before the ceremony and explained to him that I would like to some home incorporate my father-in into the ceremony, without making the ceremony too sad. Words can not express what an AMAZING job he did. It was perfect!
Todd even asked me if it would be okay to take some photos while my husband and I prepared for the ceremony. A few days after the wedding I received the pictures he had taken and I blown away. Not did he take the photos out of the kindness of his heart, but he even edited them, placed them all on a CD, and hand delivered them to my work. I highly recommend Todd of Promises Wedding Services to anyone look for a wedding officiate in the Seattle area.

For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be in a position that would give me the opportunity to affect different people’s lives every day. Whether that means just lending a listening ear and offering any assistance or encouraging someone to move out of their comfort zone and do something silly, those are the kind of things that I have found joy in throughout my life. That, combined with my thrive for the challenge to make every memory unique, gives me the passion that makes me love what I do so much.
I love seeing the smile that comes across someone’s face when they see a photo I took for them that conveys the exact emotions they were feeling at that moment. It excites me to sit down with a couple and see the joyful anticipation surrounding their wedding day. And, I feel honored to be able to help a couple discover new ways to communicate in deeper, more meaningful ways then they ever thought they could.

Do you have liability insurance?
Yes
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I post-process all my images with minor color correction in Photoshop. In addition my clients receive 40 fully edited images (skin softened, blemishes removed, color pop, change to BW, etc).
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
Yes indeed. I do live in Washington where it can be sunny one second and very cloudy the next.
Is your media preference film or digital?
All digital...all the time.
How many photographers do you work with?
I have a network of photographers that I have worked with both as a 2nd shooter, or using them as a 2nd shooter.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
I wouldn't miss it for the world!
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I tend to not book more than 1 event in a day. I don't want to spread my creative juices too thin. It is possible for me to do more than 1 event on a weekend however.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes I do.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
2 cameras, multiple flashes, multiple batteries, multiple lenses, flash stands for lighting, reflectors...the norm (well at least for a photographer it's the norm)!
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Always have a couple of cameras, and always always always have lots of batteries.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I have a variety of packages available that covers anywhere from 4 hours to all day coverage.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Extra hours are available upon request.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I'm not really a big break kind of guy. Typically during a wedding shoot, while the bride and groom are sitting down to eat I will grab a protein bar and slam a Red Bull just to keep the blood pumping!
Do you charge for travel?
$.35 per mile outside the normal areas aorund me. Basically its anything north of Seattle, or south of Tacoma.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Photos are uploaded to a password secure site for viewing and ordering prints 5-6 weeks after the ceremony date.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Deja vu...I feel like i kind of just answered that. On a password secure site. Also on a disc.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Their CD of images is their CD of images. Or "for forever" to the layperson.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
I will sign over reproduction rights to allow the client to print or showcase their photos wherever they would like. I of course retain the right ot use them for any marketing purposes of my own.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
I let my clients print their photos anywhere they want. It's a free country you know!
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
All on a CD or DVD depending on quantity of photos.
Will images be available for viewing online?
You betcha. Password secure site for sharing with family and friends. Typically available for viewing on my blog and Facebook as well (to a lesser extent).
What kind of albums do you offer?
No albums at this time. But it is in the works!
When will the client get the final album?
Once I get this setup I will have more info. But typically I would guess 2-3 week turnaround time on top of standard turnaround time.
