Proper Measures

What would we have done without Proper Measures?! We thought we could plan the wedding ourselves, but we soon realized we were way over our heads and knew we needed help. Through serendipity, we stumbled upon Proper Measures while looking for a floral designer, and thanks to the internet, navigated to her website. Scrolling through her portfolio, we saw that her modern style matched exactly what we were looking for, and she was a local business! We came to Stephanie with a bunch of random thoughts about a unique country/vintage themed wedding, and had way too many ideas floating around in our heads that centered around that common theme. We weren't able to translate that ourselves, but Stephanie was able to consolidate all of those ideas into a seamless, cohesive inspiration board which we loved and from which she designed our wedding - colors, concepts, details, florals, etc. She somehow knew exactly what we wanted in our themes, but what she produced on the actual wedding day was above and beyond anything we could have dreamed of! Granted we gave her a lot of creative license, but we're aboslutely grateful that we did, as she created unique and inspiring pieces at our reception that we will cherish forever and had guests talking about. From the centerpieces to the gift table to the dessert table, lighting, unique favors, and more, everything was perfect! Our package also included desserts, and Wil, with his pastry-chef background, made us some unique and delicious desserts, including original wedding cakes, brownies, cookie pops, strawberry shortcakes, and macaroons...and we got to taste-test our cakes weeks in advance, which we loved! These aren't your typical wedding cakes - they're much richer in taste, and their simple design allows you to truly soak in their deliciousness. Stephanie kept us organized, and with her checklists, she and her team made sure no detail was missed, including day-of-planning and coordination so we wouldn't have to stress about that. And we can't forget just how professional her team was during the whole process - from inception to planning and implementation, Stephanie remained the consumate professional - polite, prompt, detailed, organized, fun, and more. We cannot sing enough praises for Stephanie and her amazing team at Proper Measures!

Stephanie and Wil of Proper Measures did an AMAZING job on my wedding! They provided unique and beautiful decorations for my event to fit in with my Halloween/Fall themed wedding that included white pumpkins with black script, jackolanterns, fall flower arrangements, and hay bale couches with quilts tossed over them. They also provided an amazing dessert table and BEAUTIFUL red velvet wedding cake. The desserts looked great in all of our pictures and were very popular with our guests. I still have people tell me how beautiful and unique my wedding was, and I give the credit to Proper Measures! I highly recommend them to any bride!!

I had the pleasure of using Proper Measures for my bridal shoot styling as well as my wedding. Stephanie and her husband did a wonderful job. I love the modern and contemporary twist Stephanie gives to all her work. My guests at the wedding loved my table centerpieces and the "candy bar" was a hit. I definitely suggest Proper Measures to help you with all the details and finishing touches. My wedding cake was absolutely delicious and all my guests said it was the best cake they had ever tasted. The only reason for not giving 5 stars across the board is my wedding cake did not look exactly like the picture of the one I wanted but it still turned out wonderful. If you want that wow factor at your wedding, Proper Measures is a must.
